Key Issues & Symptoms Sticky/Resistant Steering: The primary symptom is the steering wheel feeling like it "sticks" or requires extra force to move from the center position, especially when driving straight on the highway, creating a dangerous lurch or jerkiness when trying to change lanes. Knocking Noises: Some owners report a knocking or metal-on-metal sound from the steering, even after initial

The first incident, my SUV failed to start, per Roadside Assistance, I replaced the battery. No diagnostic testing done. On 12/26/25 my SUV STOPPED COLD while driving. Red battery light and other warning indicators on dashboard lit up. Radio went dead; loss of steering assist; loss of vehicle power; dashboard went black and SUV SHUT DOWN. It would not start again. ... test. I leave my home at 4:30 a.m. every morning driving 30 miles on the beltway to work. Imagine the danger, Stopping Cold on the beltway, in the dark alone with no power for emergency lights to warn approaching traffic of the danger. I travel with my family in my SUV on the beltway daily. I no longer trust this vehicle, and I’ve requested to be reimbursed; my vehicle is my livelihood and it’s my life and the lives of my family each day that I get into this SUV. SUV is paid off. Rockville Hyundai’s finding was a faulty alternator and battery. The original battery was in the SUV with the first incident, still I’m terrified to drive this SUV. I researched possible causes for my SUV performing in this manner and my research yielded, and I quote: “Electronic troubles with the 2022 Palisade Calligraphy often involve dashboard warning lights, driver-assist malfunctions, instrument cluster failures, and even engine shutdowns, frequently linked to issues like a faulty alternator, low battery voltage, or problems with the instrument cluster itself (Recalls), with some owners reporting dangerous situations like loss of steering assist or vehicle power loss on the highway.” On 1/6/26 on the beltway, the battery light and other warning indicators lit up; radio went dead, all warning indicators on the dashboard lit up; experienced loss of steering assist; and the dashboard went black instantly. I reached home, and parked; lights on the dashboard came back on, and I turned the engine off. On 1/7/26 I drove to Hyundai for another diagnostic test. 1/21/26 SUV still in service.Read more

I am submitting this email as a formal safety defect notification regarding a front suspension knuckle cracking condition observed on my 2016 Range Rover Td6, which appears to directly correspond with Land Rover Recall D027. Attached are photographs of the passenger-side front suspension knuckle showing a distinct structural crack running vertically through the knuckle body at the upper control a
... rm mounting point. The crack is continuous, visible from multiple perspectives, and is not consistent with a normal casting seam or cosmetic surface feature. According to the recall description, cracking in this location may result in loss of clamp load and potential separation of the suspension arm, posing a significant risk to vehicle control and occupant safety. The condition observed on my vehicle appears consistent with the failure mode identified by the manufacturer. I am submitting this information to: - Document a real-world instance of the suspected defect - Provide photographic evidence supporting the concern - Support evaluation of recall scope and remedy effectiveness This submission is provided in the interest of vehicle safety and defect reporting. I respectfully request confirmation of receipt and inclusion of this information in your defect review records. Please advise if any additional details or documentation are required.Read more

Incident date: Jan 16, 2026
The vehicle at speed from 40mph and upwards has sticky steering issues that require potential overcorrection from the driver to maintain the vehicle on a straight path. When the driver attempts to make subtle in-lane corrections to keep the vehicle on a straight path, the driver is unable to make small adjustments without the steering making larger adjustments and having to over-correct (ex. if th
... e driver wanted to move the steering wheel 0.5mm, the steering wheel only moves in 1mm increments). Additionally, on following curves that require the driver to adjust the steering wheel about 3-10 degrees in either direction, the steering wheel will stick and not naturally straighten out. The Honda Dealership of Chantilly, VA was able to replicate the issue and was not able to give any reason or develop a path to a solution for the owner to safely operate this Honda. There are also no warning lights or signals, I have also attempted most driving conditions (hot and cold temperatures, all speeds, and different highways), with and without driver assistance programs activated, heated steering wheel on and off, and different steering wheel adjustment positions to attempt to solve the issue at hand. These issues appeared shortly after purchase of the vehicle in late October 2025 and this issue happens on a daily basis. This steering issue presents as a safety issue due to the driver not being able to smoothly steer and having to over-correct for the steering malfunction. In any driving environment, the driver should expect to have a smooth driving experience to promote safety among all drivers on the roads. Additionally, this steering issue may be related to the already diagnosed issue of Honda gearboxes malfunctioning in previous model years. I have uploaded a service record from the Honda of Chantilly Dealership that includes the mileage and complaint from owner.Read more

Turned vehicle off and I had looked into possible issues with the (EPS) Electric Power Steering and read possible loss of Power Steering check MDPS Fuse in vehicle Interior Fuse Panel for blown fuse and all was Fine with that Fuse.. Then checked MDPS Fuse Panel in engine compartment near battery and found no issue on the long circuit fuse for the MDPS. After researching 2017 Tucson EPS issues I ran a test by Turning Key on and turn Wheel all the way too Right and leave it there for a minute then turn wheel all the way too the Left and leave there for a minute ,then turn steering wheel till wheels are straight and turn key off. Then start car and see if Power Steering comes back when turning steering wheel in which it did but I'm still skeptical if that was the Fix. I purchased a 2024 Tesla Model 3 a little over a year ago. Recently, and after an update, myself, and other drivers in my life, noticed the self-driving feature was malfunctioning - to the point I used the audio reporting feature to report this problem twice to Tesla. Last month this malfunction has caused an accident, and my car has been totaled, my insurance will not cover it, and I have been advised by two separate attorneys to sue. This has been litigated in court with lawsuits against Tesla (See Benavides v. Tesla; see also IN RE: TESLA ADVANCED DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS LITIGATION). I had notified Telsa twice of this issue, the car left the lane and did not notice a concrete barrier on the left side going north on I-95 in or around Broward County. To my knowledge no one has inspected the car. I was not warned that this car would cause an accident, the problem first appeared when I reported the issue using the voice reporting feature around November 2025. It is currently located at a tow facility in Broward County, FL and can be inspected there.Read more

On [XXX], I had a scheduled repair appointment for my 2020 Kia Sportage, which is experiencing swaying and instability, and unable to keep the vehicle straight at highway speeds in the front end, and ABS/brake issue on the driver-side front wheel. During the service appointment, my service advisor, informed me that a metal undershield was not secure and recommended its removal due to not being vi

However, the main concerns of swaying and brake issues remained unresolved. the master mechanic, test-drove the vehicle but was unable to reproduce the issue. I was told that a possible cause could be a messed-up air gap or a toe ring starting to split. That it would be $500 if that’s not the issue. I need to mention I have a warranty. I scheduled another service appointment for January 16th, 2026, hoping for a resolution. However, the service advisor, informed me that the technician was unable to find any issues with the vehicle after a test drive. I questioned the findings, pointing out that the mileage in and out was only 3 miles, making it impossible to properly diagnose the issue at highway speeds and was told it was taken down [XXX] which is not doable in 3 miles. while driving a 2022 VW Taos started experiencing a strong wobble in the front driver side tire. It started on a 2.5 hour drive back from dropping my son off at college. While accelerating from 0-40 MPH the wobble would be very strong. After reaching 45 MPH it leveled off. It would wobble more turning or moving to the left than the right side. It was frightening to drive my hour long commute
... and worry if my tire was going to fall of or, worse yet, would I crash. I could not get in to the VW dealership for a few days prior to this starting. I did not have any lights or warning signs prior to this. When I first spoke about the problem to a few places they were suggested the lug nuts were loose, or perhaps a tire bearing went bad. I took it to my VW dealer and they said the issue was the steering rack and I was originally quoted $7,500 to fix it. Steve at my dealership was great and moved mountains to get the price lowered and my car repaired. However I find it hard to believe that 4 year old car with 80,000 miles on it should have this kind of major repair. I had to rent a car for a few days and then VW was able to provide me with loaner. I have had issues with my 2022 VW since I purchased it during Covid and just wonder if that is that is part of the issue. Cheaper parts being used - perhaps not tested or as reliable. I just wanted to report this and see if any other 2022 VW TAOS's were experiencing the same issue and if a TSB should be issued or a recall. I had one thing fixed in the past and then a recall was issued but I was denied reimbursement since I did not use VW parts to fix the problem. I am trying to avoid that from happening again. After driving the vehicle for 30 minutes to an hour in temperatures approximately above 45°F the steering wheel will get "stuck" on center and go loose then tighten again when trying to make minor corrections in steering. Easiest to duplicate on roads with speed limits at or above 55 mph. If temperatures are below 40°F when the vehicle is started, the issue cannot be duplicated unless the temper
... ature reaches approximately 50°F while driving. If starting a drive in temperatures that cause the issue, then driving into temperatures below 32°F, the issue will go away while driving. This issue has caused me to have to overcorrect on a 55 mph mountain road with spots of melting snow and was noticeable enough for my passenger to be quite concerned. After driving with this issue for 1-2 hours, the added fatigue of constantly fighting the steering wheel can and will lead to a crash. This has been looked at by a Subaru dealership when temperatures were warmer, but they were not able to duplicate the concern. There are no warnings, lights, or alerts while this issue is happening. I have been waiting for this to get worse to bring it in to Subaru, but I fear without assistance from the NHTSA I will be turned away by the dealership again. Added information: ALL Lane Departure and Driver Assistance features were and are currently turned off. The issue still happens in cruise control with or without the lane centering turned on.Read more

The Audi dealership confirmed the steering failure was caused by a major power steering system defect, including active power steering fluid leakage from the steering rack area consistent with internal seal failure, and the power steering pump being faulty due to fluid loss. The dealership advised replacement of the power steering rack and pump and stated the vehicle was unsafe to test drive due to its condition. During the same inspection, the Audi dealership also identified additional serious safety-related defects, including a brake system condition where the brake pedal slowly sinks toward the floor when pressure is applied (indicating a braking system performance failure requiring brake fluid exchange and further diagnosis if unresolved). The inspection also documented multiple additional mechanical and safety concerns requiring extensive repairs, including suspension and drivetrain defects and other conditions indicating the vehicle was not roadworthy as sold. The vehicle remains available for inspection. This incident involved a sudden loss of steering assist and braking abnormalities that could lead to loss of control, crash risk, and injury to the driver, passengers, and other motorists.Read more
