My 2015 ram ecodiesel is getting a brake light for ABS, traction control, emergency brake all not working. Dealership wants $4000 to fix it with a part that’s back ordered 2yr. I’m having a hard time understanding if so many people online are having this issue why it’s not a SAFETY RECALL. The stock part failed at no fault of the customers.

Issue 1: I reported transmission issued to the dealership/service center where I purchased the car. They assured me its just the electronic transmission trying to find the right gear while driving. Continued to complaint about the jerks and shifting. Dealer warranty expired, then they agreed that I needed a new transmission. Fortunately I had an outside extended warranty otherwise they'd probably
... would have waited until that ended too. Status post the transmission, tuning, sensor replacements, spark plug replacement, and TPMS replacements all in one service. Prior to my warranty expiring, AWD, engine light and hard transmission shifts began with the new transmission. Returned repeatedly from April to November with no resolution. However, they did have me pay to replace sensors I had replaced in April several times and obtain a new battery. Issue 2: After "new" batter the car's electrical issues worsened resulting in a power failure while driving at 75 miles an hour and losing complete control of the vehicle. The power failure shut down the electronic shifter, power steering, All Wheel Drive, Traction control in raining conditions and ultimately the power assisted brakes. returned the vehicle to the service department for additional "testing" after taking a video of the fault messages were the car electrical systems shut down to auto start stop function warning light. I'm a skill driver and was able to avoid crashing during the incidents. The photos are from the latest day I dropped the vehicle off for review I took a video of the vehicle powering down for their records. They are now stating since they can't figure it out maybe I should pay them to replace the electrical wiring harnesses throughout the vehicle; a cost which exceeds the vehicle's worth to me. I'm convinced now more than ever they knew there was an electrical issue with the vehicle but waited me out and if I would have crashed and died all the blame would have been on me.Read more

The vehicle makes a noticeable clicking sound when making routine left and right turns. This noise is not coming from the cabin of the vehicle, but sounds like it's coming from the wheels/axles. I have observed some level of clicking sound during turns since I purchased the vehicle in May 2025, but with each passing month, the volume and frequency of the clicking has increased. I now feel unsafe m
... aking any turns at 90 degrees or greater as the steering feels insecure and sounds indicate possible hazard/parts failure during vehicle operation. Almost all turns feel as though they are pushing the vehicle to the limit and I fear the parts/joints will fail while the vehicle is in operation. U-Turns are nearly out of the question. If a vehicle cannot safely and effectively make a greater degree of turn, then the turning radius should not allow a driver to put the vehicle into that position. However, for this vehicle, it seems almost any turning at all would then be completely impossible. As the car is still new and well within warranty, I will be taking it to my dealership for inspection and repair. The vehicle has never been in any type of collision or accident of any kind.Read more

The issue involved the electronic power steering (EPS) system on my 2022 Hyundai Veloster N (approx. 70,000 miles). While driving, the EPS stopped providing steering assist and a fault warning appeared on the dash. After checking the engine bay fuse box, I found that the PDM 7.5A micro blade fuse (which powers the EPS circuit) appeared heat-discolored/burned. I replaced it with an identical 7.5A
... micro blade fuse, and the system later returned to normal operation. The original fuse that appeared damaged is still in my possession and is available for inspection upon request When the fuse failed, I suddenly lost power steering assist and the steering became extremely heavy, especially at low speeds. This made it difficult to turn the wheel for parking, lane changes, and tighter turns. This could have put my safety and others at risk because: •It required much more physical effort to steer, especially in a parking lot and at slower speeds. •In an emergency situation, it would have been harder to quickly avoid obstacles or other vehicles. •A less physically strong driver, or someone caught off guard, might not be able to maintain proper control, increasing the risk of a collision. No. The problem has not been reproduced or formally confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. After I replaced the PDM 7.5A fuse, the EPS warning and heavy steering condition went away and have not returned so far, so the failure has not been actively present for a shop to duplicate. No. The vehicle and the failed fuse have not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, dealer, police, insurance, or any other third party. At this time I have only inspected the fuse visually myself and replacedRead more

My 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Touring-L has suffered repeated and dangerous electrical failures since purchase. Shortly after buying it from AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Valencia, CA, I had to return it twice for electrical repairs that kept it in service several weeks under warranty. About two years later, while still under extended warranty, the engine underwent a complete rebuild for multi
... ple-cylinder misfire codes that were likely caused by intermittent CAN-bus voltage loss rather than a mechanical defect. Over the past nine months, the vehicle has again developed severe electrical faults while driving: sudden loss of power steering assist, all dashboard lights illuminating, windshield wipers activating spontaneously, and the engine failing to shut off using the Start/Stop button. The vehicle has also stalled without warning while driving in traffic or idling at red lights, restarting only after 5–10 minutes and blocking traffic lanes, placing me and surrounding drivers at significant risk. Two major repairs in the last two weeks failed to resolve the defects: (1) repair of the CAN-bus system after the vehicle would not start and acted erratically while driving, and a week later (2) replacement of the brake-booster vacuum pump, which was shorted internally and caused CAN-bus shutdown, complete steering loss, sudden braking, and no engine power. The vehicle is currently at Dependable Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Canoga Park, CA, awaiting further diagnosis despite repeated repair attempts. These symptoms match Chrysler TSBs 08-007-17 and 08-033-21 concerning Body Control Module water intrusion and communication faults. This ongoing electrical defect has caused steering loss, random stalling, ignition failure, and unpredictable vehicle behavior—issues widely reported by Pacifica owners. It poses a serious safety hazard and warrants immediate investigation and recall.Read more

While traveling 40 mph, car flashes a warning, "Check Hybrid System", and then the car shuts off. No power steering and brakes are difficult. While picking up my son from school, my 2018 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid suddenly experienced a complete steering failure. The steering wheel locked without warning and became impossible to move, making the vehicle inoperable and creating an immediate safety hazard. My son and I were stranded for over 7 hours in a public area. AAA was dispatched twice, but they were unable to resolve the issue. The vehicle
... ultimately had to be towed to a Toyota dealership. Toyota dealership diagnosed the car with a failed steering lock ECU, a critical safety component that should not malfunction under normal conditions. I was quoted over $2,000 for the repair. This issue aligns with multiple known recalls and technical service bulletins related to steering and electronic control failures in RAV4 Hybrid models, suggesting a potential manufacturer defect. This sudden steering failure placed me and my child at significant risk. There were no warning lights, no prior steering issues, and no indicators of malfunction before the event occurred. I am submitting this report because a steering lock ECU failure can lead to sudden loss of steering control, which poses a serious danger to vehicle occupants and others on the road.Read more

We recently bought Tesla Model Y. Last week of October 2025. Last week we had visited our friend who lives in Pineville. Less than a mile from our place. I would like to report this to the Authorities to see if other Tesla people have been facing similar issues.Read more

My 2020 Tesla Model X experiences severe vibration, shaking, and rattling during acceleration, especially between about 20–45 mph and at higher suspension settings. The vibration is strong enough to affect steering stability and safe control of the vehicle during acceleration and lane changes. Tesla has already replaced the front half-shafts twice under warranty for this same problem, but the i
... ssue has returned again. This is a known defect documented by Tesla in Service Bulletin SB-21-39-001, which describes excessive front drive unit half-shaft vibration during acceleration and defines the repair with updated components. The latest revision of this bulletin (R3, dated January 19, 2024) explicitly adds “Customer Pay billing” instructions. Despite this, my local Tesla Service Center in Tempe, AZ (Supervisor: Lewis Holguin) refused to apply the SB-21-39-001 Customer Pay billing and instead charged full retail for the repair. On 11/28/2025, I was billed $1,694.86 out of pocket to replace both front half-shafts again (invoice shows approx. $1,046 in parts and $564 in labor). I have documentation showing that other Tesla customers with the same defect were billed only $350 under SB-21-39-001, which demonstrates that Tesla does apply a discounted bulletin rate in some cases. In my case, they refused to honor it even though this is a repeat failure of the same known defect and the prior warranty repairs did not permanently fix the problem. This is a repeat driveline/suspension defect that affects drivability and safety under acceleration. The shaking and vibration make it difficult to maintain stable vehicle control, especially during highway merging or lane changes. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate recurring front half-shaft failures and vibration/shudder issues on Tesla Model X vehicles and Tesla’s inconsistent handling of this known defect and service bulletin.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding a known safety defect affecting my 2019 Jeep Wrangler Sahara (VIN: [XXX] ) - specifically the steering damper column defect commonly referred to as "Death Wobble." ISSUE: My vehicle experiences violent and uncontrollable steering wheel oscillation when hitting bumps or road imperfections at highway speeds (typically above 55 mph). This phenomenon causes the en
... tire front end to shake violently, requiring me to immediately slow down to regain control of the vehicle. This poses an extreme safety risk to myself, my passengers, and other motorists. DIAGNOSIS: A certified mechanic has diagnosed my vehicle with steering damper failure - the exact same defect addressed in Customer Satisfaction Notification V41 issued by FCA in June 2019. THE PROBLEM: While FCA issued CSN V41 covering approximately 192,000 2018-2019 Jeep Wranglers for steering damper defects, my VIN was arbitrarily excluded from this notification despite experiencing the identical safety defect. FCA selectively applied the remedy to certain VINs rather than addressing all affected vehicles from these model years. SAFETY CONCERNS: This defect creates loss of vehicle control at highway speeds, significantly increasing crash risk. The NHTSA investigation (PE19-012) identified frame weld quality deficiencies and steering-related defects in 2018-2019 Wranglers affecting approximately 270,000 vehicles. Multiple investigations have documented steering looseness, steering wobble/shimmy, and loss of steering control in these model years. MANUFACTURER REFUSAL: Despite the known defect and my vehicle exhibiting the exact symptoms addressed in CSN V41, Jeep/Stellantis refuses to repair this safety issue under warranty, forcing me to bear the financial burden for a known manufacturing defect. REQUEST: I request NHTSA investigate why FCA limited CSN V41 to select VINs when the defect clearly affects a broader population of 2018-2019 Wranglers, and mandate a comprehensi INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

The vehicle in question, has been to a certified jeep dealer twice, to remedy the problem of locking axles and the center differential. Performance CDJR of Gorgesville /Columbus OH had removed the center differential/transfer case for an inspection and performed updates. None of the aforementioned warranty work, fixed t

In addition, the electronic limited slip rear axle appears to lock near 75% in Auto and Snow Mode, which renders the vehicle's operation unsafe. This is especially apparent in 25 to 45 MPH turns, sharp turns, as when merging from one intersection to a perpendicular other roadway. The car wants to go straight on slippery/wet pavement.
