Hi! I brought my car in to the Ford dealership in Lexington, SC to get a recalled A Frame Pillar repaired. They took the part off and didn’t repair it because they didn’t have the parts in. When I called corporate to check on the status of that part, I found out they had marked the recall as “complete” which was not the case. Corporate opened the case again for me, so it should’ve read i
... ncomplete in their system. (Therefore, maybe they would call me to let me know the part was in stock. That didn’t happen.) When I called back 2 months later, they had apparently marked it as complete a second time. Which again, was false. 12 months later, they’re finally agreeing to replace the part. I also found out from corporate in that same phone call that I had a recall to a power steering component. When I called the shop, they said that had been marked as complete too so I was not eligible for a second replacement. I have a hard time trusting that the original was actually replaced now. And the steering feels like a major safety concern! Point is, I’m worried that location may be doctoring their documentation, marking recalls as repaired when repairs have clearly not been made. I’d hate for it to cause a major accident or something. Bringing this up in case it warrants an audit. I’m sure I’m not the only person they’ve done this to. I’ve opened a case with Ford’s Automatice Safety Office as well and they are investigating but I thought it prudent to mention to an outside source. Like I said, I’d hate for someone to get in accident because they thought a repair had been made when it actually never was.Read more

Over 1 year (2025) steering front end shaking began. Our dealership on oil changes did not tell us to watch for anything and we should have been warned. When the shaking occurred we changed Ford shock asborbers from Ford dealership. Problem still occured. We lost faith in Ford and our regular dealership. We then at Moore's tires purchased 4 Michelin premium tires for F250 heavy duty truck and tol
... d them about the severe shaking in front end that we will crash because we can't maintain control only to pull off the road with a prayer. Very difficult when this happens on the route 80 highway going 70 mph speed limit. So, Moore's tires store replaced with new tires and replaced some suspension parts thinking they fixed it but not sure. No recall to alert any Ford owners or repair shops... no warnings to anyone. We spent over $7,000. in trying to solve the front end shaking issue. We are lucky we did not die in an accident caused by the front end shaking and no steering control. We want re-imbursement and full repair as the problem is still happening. our family and all of us have Been a Ford customer for over 60 plus years. But not feeling confident or safe with purchasing a new ford vehicle going forward. This can NOT happen that Ford is allowing this risk to potentially kill people due to their neglegence in quality and recall for safety.Read more

Within approximately four days of delivery, my vehicle experienced multiple system failures during normal driving conditions. The following warnings appeared simultaneously: - Low voltage electrical system issue detected - Rear axle steering disabled – turning radius limited - Power reduced - Unable to charge – Service required - Additional system warnings These issues affected critical sys

The vehicle had only been exposed to normal rain conditions prior to the incident, raising concerns about reliability under typical use. Tesla later confirmed a failure in the low voltage distribution and control system requiring replacement of a major electronic component. Given that this occurred within days of delivery, I am concerned that this vehicle may have a serious safety defect.Read more

April 3, 2026: my 2025 Subaru Outback Premium (VIN [XXX] , 2,052 miles) suffered simultaneous failure of multiple safety-critical systems due to corrosion on a CAN bus pin in the driver door wiring harness (Subaru part #XXX) at its dash harness connection, caused by water intrusion into the cabin. Trip start: EyeSight, collision avoidance, blind spot, and lane assist all offline; BRAKE indicator i
... lluminated with no brake engagement. Minutes later, airbag warning activated. Dealer service advisor described the dash as "lit up like a Christmas tree." While reversing through a 3-point turn on a commercial drive used by heavy trucks, I LOST STEERING at single-digit speed. 60 seconds further would have placed me on an inclined high-traffic road near a freeway interchange. Vehicle was towed by Subaru from the failure location. Confirmed by authorized dealer Driveway Subaru of Moon Township (Invoice #680646, warranty claim). Subaru SSM4 scan recorded 17 unique DTCs across 10 control systems, including C1460 Brake Booster Abnormality; U1131 Lost Comm Power Steering Control Module; U0151 Restraints Control Module; U0122/U1122 VDC; U0126 Steering Angle Sensor; plus multiple EyeSight faults. Dealer documented moisture on both A-pillars, driver kick panel, standing water in cupholders and center console. Prior intermittent symptom: passenger seatbelt alarm on empty seat, two occasions in prior months, consistent with past-status U0151 on scan. Dealer cleaned the corroded pin but did NOT identify or seal the original water ingress point. Vehicle remains in dealer possession. Subaru of America Customer Advocacy Case #XXX-XXXhas declined repurchase/replacement, stating vehicle is "operating safely as designed." I dispute this conclusion: the ingress source is unremediated and recurrence risk has not been addressed. Repair invoice, full DTC scan, SOA correspondence, and owner statement available on request. While vacationing in Myrtle Beach with my family the vehicle alarmed and then progressed to critical failure of safety functions while traveling at approximately 55mph on Friday April 3, 2026. The vehicle was brought to Myrtle Beach Hyundai where it was eventually diagnosed and repaired as an Alternator issue that I have found to be common with this specific vehicle. The issues I have experienced
... with this vehicle go far beyond a typical mechanical concern. Over time, the vehicle has exhibited repeated electrical system malfunctions, including: - False blind spot collision warnings when no vehicles are present - Intermittent failure of the crash avoidance system - Loss of cruise control functionality tied to system faults - A broader electrical failure event that triggered multiple warning systems simultaneously Most concerning, these failures have occurred while the vehicle was in motion, creating an unpredictable and potentially hazardous driving condition. The loss and unreliability of critical driver-assist and safety systems directly impacts driver awareness and vehicle control, which raises serious safety concerns. Despite multiple attempts to have this diagnosed through the dealership network while under warranty, no definitive root cause was identified, and the issue has persisted. This suggests the possibility of a systemic electrical defect rather than an isolated component failure. Additionally, I have found that similar complaints involving electrical system irregularities and cascading warning system failures have been reported by other owners of this model, further supporting the concern that this may represent a known or emerging defect pattern. Given these factors, I do not believe this situation should be categorized as routine. Instead, it warrants review under the lens of: - Vehicle safety risk - Potential defect trend - Failure of critical driver-assistance systems during operation This vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer.Read more

This first happened while I was driving. First, it started with a loud warning tone along with the notice on the console telling the travel assist is currently not available. It’ll be there for a few minutes and then it will go away. A couple of months later during the winter of December 2025- January 2026. It was constantly a problem. Every time I drove every 2 to 5 minutes it will give me the
... same loud beep along with the notice. It didn’t matter whether I was using the feature or not it kept constantly beeping. In the best of times it was very annoying and in the worst of times it just is so loud that it scares me. I tried so many things to fix it. I would often try to clean the cameras. And I couldn’t use the lane keeping assistance at all through all this. There is a feature I’ve been using extensively and I think it’s important for having helped me driving safely in the highway. In the end, it was so distracting I’m not having the lane keeping Assistance that I was forced to go get it repaired. That’s when I understood that it was a widely reported issue.Read more
