- Software failure resulted in loss of steering control, speed control, and brakes became unavailable. I was on highway car was at 65 mph and then I got a bunch of error messages mentioned below- 1) Steering assist not available 2) AWD is disabled 3) Headlamps not available 4)Service brake assist And then I was not able to brake the car, and steering became highly unresponsive. I took my foot of
... gas and let the car roll for 1 mile before stopping safely on shoulder, from where I called Cadillac for support (they towed the car back), since error didn't resolve after stopping or rebooting the car. I took screenshot of these errors after stopping and attached them in this email. - Yes it put safety of me, my passenger, and other vehicles at risk, loss speed and steering control you have cause me to hit any other car. - Yes problem is reported to manufacturer, car is in service. - Vehicle is with Service, since no one got hurt, we didn't involve police. - No prior message or warnings we recieved, all errors come as soon as the issues appear.Read more

I am filing this complaint to report a serious safety defect involving my 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5. The vehicle experienced a sudden failure of the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU), which caused the car to completely shut down and lose power while in motion. My family member, who was driving at the time, stated that the car lost power and shut off without warning on the road, creating an extre
... mely dangerous situation. Thankfully, they were able to pull over without incident, but this type of malfunction could easily result in a collision, injury, or worse. I later discovered that this issue is part of a widespread ICCU failure affecting Hyundai Ioniq 5 and other Hyundai/Kia EVs. My vehicle has been at the dealership for over a month, and Hyundai has informed me that the part required to repair the vehicle is backordered for 2–3 months, leaving me without my primary mode of transportation. This issue is not only a reliability concern but a serious safety hazard that warrants immediate investigation and intervention. A vehicle that completely loses power while driving is unacceptable, especially for a relatively new vehicle under warranty. I urge the NHTSA to investigate the ICCU failures in Hyundai Ioniq 5 vehicles and determine whether a broader mandatory recall is needed due to the loss of motive power and serious safety risk. Many owners are affected, and delays in repair parts are putting consumers in unsafe situations.Read more

I purchased my 2022 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 T in December 2021. Around 20k miles, I began experiencing issues with the steering. There was a sticky sensation that required exerting force. I took into the dealership on numerous occasions only to be told "there was nothing wrong" or that "the issue could not be duplicated". It eventually began to get worse around 52k miles, so around October of 2023,
... I began going back to the dealership, only for the same answers of "can not be duplicated". At 60k miles, the unfindable issue become discoverable (Not sure if they were being honest or they were waiting until my warranty expired to properly diagnose the issue). The service advisor informed me that I would need a steering rack replacement. I asked would Honda assist with the repair as I had began complaining about the issue well before my warranty expired. The advisor informed me that Honda would not assist. Fast forward, a week later, I reached out to Honda myself and they gave me a green light for assistance with the repair. They agreed to cover $2200 for the part itself and I was responsible for the labor, which left me with a balance of $1400. In December of 2023, I had the repair done and the vehicle was driving a little better at first, but still a little off. Of course the service department ensured that nothing was wrong and they could not do anything unless something breaks or the computer throws a code. Fast forward to around June of 2024, I began having the same issues with the steering wheel sticking, but was out of warranty as the dealership stated that the warranty was a 2 year/12k mile warranty. This is ridiculous to pay all this money for vehicles, have it repaired and have to deal with the same issue again. Honda is well aware of this issue, but instead of doing the right and ethical thing and issuing a recall on the steering racks, they'd rather sit and act clueless and oblivious to the issue.Read more

I have contacted the Honda manufacturer twice regarding this issue, especially since finding multiple forums regarding the same complaint for their Honda civics.
