I was driving the vehicle on the highway when the vehicle started to overheat, lights started blinking, the car was smoking, losing power and acceleration. This car has a recall on the cyclindwr head which when cracks causing the car to loose coolant and oil. If it cracks while you’re driving especially on the highway the car will immediately loose coolant and oil thus causing a very dangerous d
... riving condition. There was no indicator prior to the failure that there was anything wrong with the car. No check engine lights, no coolant lights nothing. Prior to this happening I smelled coolant in the car cabin , took it to my mechanic who tested the coolant system and found no leak. At the time he was unaware of the known issue these cars have with the cylinder head. The problem has been confirmed by Mazda and they notified me within the month of March of the problem and the extended warranty to replace the known manufacturer defect cylinder head. The Mazda dealer now has my car and acknowledges the cracked cylinder head caused the problem but said because I didn’t immediately stop on the highway and kept driving until I got to a safe location I was negligent and are refusing to fix the car which now has a blown engine, etc. it is available for inspection now at the Mazda dealer. My safety was put at risk because I could have died on the highway if the car completely stopped working, it was dangerous driving it when it first started happening because it started out of nowhere the car was fine I was driving 50+ mph and it started smoking, overheating etc. I could have also killed someone else. It is a disgrace that not only they won’t fix my car they want to say they won’t because I’m negligent? I drive my kids to and from school everyday do you think I’m going to risk their safety in an unsafe car? They should not only fix the car but compensate me for putting mine and my children’s lives at risk. A complete disgrace.Read more

The car
... is 165,000 miles that's 15,000 miles from the recall. The car has been repaired a couple times I think only to have the same power steering assist internal parts break down and fail multiple times. I believe the amount of power (amps) the power steering assist draws is needed is to much and the system fails within a short time. The alternative hydraulic version on the V 6 doesn't put so much stress on the electrical system. This could be also why the headlights bulb sockets melt and why I see a 15 volt constant charge is being created from the charging system. Ruining the alternator and battery. Putting high levels of amps on the wiring. Leading to malfunctioning components that is filed for complaints. A major safety hazard for others. Fires and uncontrolled crash since the power steering assist moves the car into dangerous life threating crashes.Read more

Undercarriage is susceptible to, and has excessive rust including steering and suspension components, braking systems, frame and body mounting components, as well as the spare rim and mount. Rust increases in severity from front to rear. It has completely eaten through both of the rear shock absorber mounts, which is a very common problem for this model due to a faulty design where mud and debris
... become trapped in a bowl shaped depression and the drain hole is inadequate and often becomes clogged. Rust has compromised the rear brakes and the emergency brake no longer functions due to rust. The in cab lever cannot be moved, nor will the cables that enter the brake drum. There is also an ongoing issue with the normal braking system in the rear drums which causes the brakes to operate as if there were air in the lines. There is not, the brakes have been flushed and bled of air multiple times with no change in operation. The shock absorber mounts have had to be relocated to the outside of the frame with an aftermarket part, as they had become completely detached from the vehicle. The spare tire was so compromised with rust that it had to be discarded. There was less than half the depth of the metal intact. The sway bar links, control arms, ball joints, stabilizer bars, and frame have all been compromised by the rust in varying levels of severity. And the body mounts starting at the midsection are affected but are mostly in tact, however the rear body mounts have been nearly disintegrated. There are multiple locations on the frame that are now a safety concern. I have owned this vehicle for 1 year now and I became aware of these issues when the vehicle became dangerously uncontrollable with every bump, as if it had a broken steering component or were supported only by springs. It was as the tie rods were bad and the shocks broke free from the frame. A simple search shows this is a well known and documented issue , this should have been investigated and settled long ago.Read more

I am writing to formally complain about significant issues I am experiencing with my 2022 Polestar 2, vin: [XXX] . Specifically, I am experiencing the following problems: Front Knocking/Rattle Sound: A distinct knocking or rattling sound is emanating from the front tire area, particularly noticeable during low-speed maneuvers and over uneven surfaces. This noise is concerning and suggests a pote
... ntial suspension or drivetrain issue. Rear Clicking Sound: When moving slowly, a consistent clicking sound can be heard originating from the rear of the vehicle. This clicking sound is also a cause for concern, indicating a potential problem with the rear axle, drivetrain, or associated components. Furthermore, I have become aware through online forums and discussions that other Polestar 2 owners are reporting similar issues with both the front knocking/rattle and the rear clicking sounds. This suggests that these problems are not isolated incidents and may indicate a broader manufacturing or design defect. I request that Polestar take the following actions: Thoroughly investigate these issues and identify the root cause of the knocking/rattle and clicking sounds. Provide a comprehensive solution to repair these problems, ensuring the safety and reliability of my vehicle. Acknowledge the widespread nature of these issues and address them proactively for all affected Polestar 2 owners. Provide me with a loaner vehicle while my car is being repaired. Please contact me at [XXX] or [XXX] to discuss this matter further. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. Factory Aluminum Steering Box presents a severe safety hazard and should be immediately recalled due to its dangerous failure in cold and probably all temperatures. In low temperatures, the steering sticks and does not move freely, making normal driving extremely hazardous for both the driver and others on the road. While straight roads may not reveal the issue, attempting to turn on a curve becom
... es life-threatening—the wheel sticks, preventing necessary maneuvering or it darts me in another direction. Once it finally releases, it can lead to overcorrection, which is especially perilous on slick, icy, or snow-covered roads. This issue occurs without warning, at any speed, and significantly increases the risk of crashes. FCA is aware of the problem and has issued a Technical Service Bulletin 08-074-20 REV., but this is not a recall—meaning owners are left at risk. Die pretty much or risk your family dying and others or just get into that accident so the insurance companies screw you as always and you are left with nothing-those insurance adjusters don't work for we the people. This failure causes me a to have a collision daily and a run-off-road accident while traveling with my family on the interstate. The safety implications are undeniable, and action must be taken before lives are lost. This is not just a mechanical flaw—it’s a critical safety failure that demands an urgent recall. Then add in the notorious shimmy/shake onset of a death wobble. You are going the speed limit/interatate highway speeds and go over a bridge and it's over-you better pray! When driving a low speed 53mph if the vehicle hits a bump, it will start bouncing and the steering wheel shakes too much until I stop and then everything comes back to normal. That situation is very frequently and very dangerous, because it happened to me many times while driving on a highway with a heavy traffic behind me including semi trucks.
