In March of 2025, my steering of the model X became really stiff. As time went on, the problem became worse and no longer able to turn left or right without major force. I made an appointment with Tesla and took it in for servicing. At this time they changed the steering bolts and steering shaft April 23, 2025. This cost $489.70 (I will attach invoice). As soon as I picked up the vehicle my steeri
... ng wheel was about 30% stuck to the right. I immediately sent a picture to tesla for them to conduct an alignment and fix the issue. They fixed the issue but around May 15th, I had a nail in my tire so I took my car in to fix it. At that time I find out that the tires on my car were exposed to the wire (I will add the picture of the tires). I replaced these tires on March 1st 2025 which is only 2 1/2 months since I replaced it. It was an indication that something is wrong so I make another appointment with Tesla to check it and get another alignment I dropped off car on June 3rd. Tesla tried to perform another alignment to find that they are not able to because the steering gear assembly needs to be replaced. I asked for clarification because I just fixed the steering components in April and they are now wanting $4900 for the steering gear assembly. As I was researching, I find that my model x was produced on May 2016 and there is a recall for Model x produced before Oct 2016 for the steering bolt and steering components if they are damaged. When I tell tesla that there is a recall they say that my vin is not associated with the recall. I am filing a complaint because my car is with in the period of vehicles produces in the recall. There is a huge safety issue if the steering bolt and steering gear assembly is malfunctioning. There were no warning lamps or messages to indicate this. This has put my family and other vehicles at risk and Tesla is aware of this problem but won't honor the recall or admit that the steering issue are all related.Read more

I purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion S new from the dealership in 2016. Earlier this year, multiple indicator lights turned on including "Service AdvanceTrac", ABS light, steering and hill assist lights. As time progressed, the Power Steering has become more of an issue to a point now that it is difficult to make tight turns going at low speed. I never received a recall notice, but when I did a search
... of the 2016 Ford Fusion S vehicle, there is an outstanding recall on similar models in 19V632000. The list of states include the state of Missouri which is where the vehicle was purchased from. At the time the recall notice was sent out (August 28, 2019), the vehicle would have been registered in Kansas. A search by the VIN number does not show a recall notice for it. Presently, the vehicle is registered in Iowa. I hope to get review of my VIN number to see if this recall should have included my vehicle as there are similar models distributed in similar states, with exact issues pertaining to my vehicle which was not included in the initial recall. I have service scheduled for this vehicle at an authorized Ford dealership on July 17th, 2025 which was the earliest I could get the car in. I'm concerned as this is a substantial issue that puts the vehicle at risk for a serious malfunction should the power steering fail completely while being operated. This is a relatively low mileage vehicle for the year which likely why the issue hasn't arose until this point. I appreciate your time and consideration on this matter.Read more

Vehicle: 2024 Hyundai Sonata. Current Mileage: 17,804 Primary Safety Defect: Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Steering Malfunction The vehicle's ESC system has a severe, intermittent malfunction causing unpredictable loss of steering control. This defect creates an extreme safety hazard. Occurrences include the vehicle veering unexpectedly towards highway medians and losing steering precision du
... ring turns and roundabouts, leading to multiple near-collision incidents. The vehicle is currently considered unsafe to operate. Relevant History: This ESC concern was subject to a manufacturer recall. An authorized Hyundai dealership performed the "ESC SOFTWARE LOGIC UPDATE (24-01-065H-1)" on June 6, 2025. Despite this specific recall repair, the severe ESC steering issue has persisted and recurred multiple times since that date, indicating a failure of the repair to permanently resolve the safety defect. Secondary Safety Defect: Inaudible Parking Collision Assistance The vehicle's parking collision assistance system is non-functional. Its audible warnings are inaudible and have never worked as designed since vehicle acquisition. This eliminates a critical safety feature intended to prevent low-speed parking collisions. Finally, The combination of a critical, recurring ESC steering defect, unaddressed by a recall repair, and a continuously inaudible parking collision assistance system, renders this vehicle highly unsafe to drive. Immediate investigation and permanent resolution are required.Read more

While operating my 2013 Ram 1500 at approximately 10 MPH, I experienced a sudden and complete loss of power steering without warning. The incident occurred while traveling on a public roadway. There were no dashboard warning lights, alerts, or noises leading up to the failure. The steering wheel became extremely difficult to turn, requiring significant physical effort to maintain control of the ve
... hicle. The failure appears to have occurred in the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. This sudden loss of power steering posed a serious safety hazard to both myself and other road users. The unexpected loss of steering assist greatly increased the difficulty of maneuvering the vehicle, especially during turns or emergency avoidance. The vehicle was nearly impossible to steer with one hand and could have led to a crash if more evasive action had been needed. Had this occurred at higher speeds or in heavy traffic, the outcome could have been much more severe. The failure was diagnosed as an EPS (Electric Power Steering) internal failure, confirmed by a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) pulled during inspection at a certified repair facility. The code specifically indicated a malfunction within the EPS module itself. The problem was confirmed by an independent service center, where technicians scanned the vehicle and identified a diagnostic code confirming an internal EPS failure. At this time, the EPS system has not been repaired pending further action.Read more

I would like to discuss a failure and concern with my new 2025 Ford F150. The Failure: While driving down the highway with Blue Cruise engaged and in control, the truck quickly veered off to the right. I immediately grabbed the steering wheel to correct the direction of the truck to avoid being driven off the road by the system. Based on the photo (attached) I have attached, it appears the Blue
... Cruise system possibly became confused with these lines in the road. Had I not corrected the vehicle, the truck quite possibly could have continued veering to the right, causing a catastrophic vehicle crash. I have attached a photo for your viewing. The Concern: The second issue relates to the F150s transmission. Like my 2021 F150, the 2025 F150 continues to exhibit the same concern with the transmission shifting hard (with a thud) from Park to Drive and similarly when stopped at a light to engaging the gas pedal. This leaves me to believe there will be transmission failure at some point due to the hard jerks. What is going on Ford??Read more

This vehicle was purchased new and I am the sole owner. Immediately upon purchasing the vehicle, I experienced what has been described as 'sticky' steering. I believed at the time it was related to the adaptive cruise control, the lane keeping assistance system, or the road departure mitigation system. However, the sticky steering continued and was always present. In 2024 I took my vehicle to
... an authorized Honda dealer, Planet Honda in Lakewood, Colorado. They could not recreate the problem, but now I realize that this is because they did not get the vehicle and its parts warm enough to cause the problem to reveal itself. Upon becoming aware of two recalls of Honda CR-Vs with similar issues (NHTSA Campaign numbers 24V744000 and 18V663000), I took my vehicle back to Planet Honda last week and more fully described the problem. I was shocked to hear from the service advisor that he was not even aware of these recalls. However, I explained that EVERY SYMPTOM I was experiencing was and always had been exactly as described in the 2024 recall. I requested that they get the vehicle warm and then they would experience the problem. They did in fact confirm the problem, but stated that because the vehicle was not included in the recall they would charge me over $5,000 for repairs, despite the fact that it had been present since the inception of my ownership, and had been reported to them earlier. I do not dispute that my vehicle was not included in the recall, but would submit that given the situation, it SHOULD HAVE BEEN included, and even if not, the evidence is clear (and not disputed) that the problem is and always has been related to this manufacturing. design or assembly defect. I also recognize that my vehicle has over 136,000 miles. However, Honda readily advertise that its vehicle should last hundreds of thousands of miles, and I agree, IF a manufacturers' defect is repaired under warranty or SHOULD BE, as the subject of a recall.
