I was driving about 35-40mpg when the right rear toe link snapped due to inproper torquing. I believe the bolt had backed out then snapped. When I contacted rivian they initially blamed me for it before even in before inspecting the vehicle. Once they inspected it they stated it would be covered under warranty. There was no paint on the bolt to show proper torque had been applied. Which is a sta
... ndard process for rivian. I had asked them to please check the left rear toe link as well and make sure it’s all torque properly or even replace the link since they are one time use parts. They did not check it they did not paint mark any of the left side. They did paint mark the right side. The result of this link snapping out my family in great danger by sliding across the road and almost going into the mountain side. We were on the freeway while this happened I would not be writing the report. I beg you to please look into this matter. I no longer feel safe putting my family into the vehicle as I am scared something else was not put on correctly. They also stated in the service report that the halfshafts were not seated properly which could have caused a catastrophic accident. Thank youRead more

On October 3, 2025, I visited the Tesla Service Center to resolve a persistent noise issue. The issue involves rattling and creaking sounds from the steering wheel area, especially when driving over uneven roads or turning. The service appointment did not resolve the problem, and Tesla scheduled the next available appointment for October 30, 2025 — almost a full month later. The noise from th
... e steering wheel area raises safety concerns, as it may indicate a defect in the steering column, structure, or related components. This is distracting during driving and could potentially compromise safe vehicle operation. I request that NHTSA investigate whether this is an isolated issue or a more widespread safety-related defect affecting Tesla vehicles.Read more

While driving my 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, the electrical system intermittently fails: the radio shuts off, the instrument cluster goes blank (gauges drop to zero, fuel/temperature show empty), headlights flicker off then on, and turn-signal indicators disappear. Warning messages such as “Service Theft” and “No Key Detected” appear, power steering becomes difficult, and the vehicle shakes, st
... alls, or even turns off completely at stop signs. Sometimes the engine continues running even after the car is shut off, overheating and producing a burnt smell. These failures began months ago, occur unpredictably, and have been witnessed by an independent shop. The loss of lights, steering, and cluster data creates a serious safety hazard, and the vehicle is available for inspection.Read more

I am sure, through all of the service records, the initial date can be found. It's been always overlooked. I paid cash for it at another non-Cadillac dealership in 12/2017. I own a 2021 Honda CR-V with approximately 47,011 miles. I’ve noticed that when I hold the steering wheel perfectly straight, the vehicle pulls slightly to the right. This happens on flat, level roads and is most noticeable at speeds over 45 mph, especially on highways. At higher speeds, the drifting becomes more pronounced, and the car feels unstable. It seems like the vehicle is fighting agai
... nst my steering input, which raises a serious safety concern, especially during long highway drives or in emergency situations. I took the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership, and they diagnosed a failing steering rack, which they say needs to be replaced. The repair estimate is $4,478. This seems unreasonable for a vehicle with under 50,000 miles and no accident history or modifications. The steering rack is a critical safety component, and its failure at this mileage suggests a potential defect. I am filing this complaint to report the issue and urge NHTSA to investigate whether this is an isolated case or part of a wider problem. If others are experiencing the same failure, I believe a safety recall may be warranted. I also request that Honda be required to assist affected customers.Read more

Component or system that failed / malfunctioned The brake system (pads, calipers, hydraulic fluid) failed three times in less than 90 days. The right-side tie rod end also separated from the steering assembly. Both components are available for inspection upon request. How safety was put at risk The brakes repeatedly lost all stopping power while driving, with the pedal going to the floor and the
... reservoir emptying within minutes. On one occasion, the brake pads and caliper fell off the wheel assembly, confirmed by the dealer’s own shop manager. The tie rod failure caused uneven tire wear and a highway blowout, forcing an emergency tow. These issues placed me, my child, and other drivers at risk of a serious crash. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center? Yes. Premier Auto (the dealer’s affiliated garage) confirmed and attempted repairs three times. On the third visit, the shop manager (Mike) stated that the brake pads were so low they had fallen off, causing the calipers to overextend and leak. Has the vehicle/component been inspected by others? Yes. Premier Auto inspected and repaired the brakes multiple times. Dobbs Tire & Auto later inspected after the blowout and diagnosed additional electrical issues. Documentation, invoices, and photos are available. Were there warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms? The brake warning light illuminated and the pedal sank to the floor during failures. No prior warning lamps appeared before the tie rod separation or blowout. The failures occurred suddenly while driving.Read more
