The brakes on my 2025 Lincoln Nautilus make a scraping/grunting noise when first applied after the car has been sitting. when applied, in addition to the noise, the brakes require more pressure to stop. The issue is worse in the rain. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. There were several times while I was driving that it was difficult to stop quickly when I was cut-off by anothe

On 09/16/2025 Al Packer Lincoln confirmed the issue and the service advisor verbally told me that "there is a special service message indicating that Lincoln is investigating because some other 2024/2025 Lincoln Nautilus vehicles have the same issue", however, I was not provided a copy of SSM 53329 referenced in Section A of page 1 of my attached invoice. The service advisor further indicated that "once engineering finishes investigating and comes out with a repair or recall for certain vehicles produced at one plant or another and during specific times they will send a letter to owners of affected vehicles for either a software update or repair etc., whatever they determine will rectify the issues. They estimated finishing investigations by Third Quarter 2025". Presently, there has been no need for any other entity to inspect my vehicle as I have received no correspondence. There were/are no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to failure. I leased the vehicle in April 2025 and the issue began around July 2025. I am submitting this report to express serious concerns regarding my 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan, currently under a lease agreement and serviced exclusively at South Motors Volkswagen in Miami, Florida. The vehicle was originally delivered as a loaner with approximately 1,000 miles and now has 24,000 miles. Since early in the lease, the car has repeatedly displayed low oil warnings, despite being servi
... ced multiple times under 10,000 miles. During my most recent service visit in June 2025, I was charged $9.48 for a minor oil top-off. When I contacted the service advisor afterward, I was advised to purchase 1-OW20 oil myself and manually add it whenever the warning appears, until the next 10,000-mile service interval. Following that advice, I have now purchased two bottles of oil out of pocket—the first cost $12, and the second $42—just to keep the vehicle running between service visits. This additional expense reinforces my concern about excessive oil consumption in a relatively new vehicle and may indicate a mechanical defect. Additionally, the brakes emit a persistent squealing noise, even though the dealership claims the brake pads are at 50% life. The noise affects driving confidence and may signal premature wear or improper installation. Despite these ongoing issues, no repairs have ever been performed under warranty. Each time I’ve taken the vehicle to Volkswagen service, I’ve been told that everything is functioning perfectly and that there is no problem to address. This repeated dismissal of the symptoms is concerning and leaves me without a clear resolution. My lease is scheduled to end in September 2026, but due to the unresolved mechanical concerns and the lack of meaningful support from the dealership, I would like Volkswagen to consider terminating the lease early. This would allow me to obtain a vehicle that does not present these recurring issues and restore my confidence in the brand’s commitment to safety and reliability.Read more

To: Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Subject: Urgent Complaint – Illegal Repossession, Lemon Law Obstruction, and Compensation Claim Against Honda Financial Services Dear Sir or Madam, I am filing a formal complaint regarding the illegal repossession of my leased 2024 Acura MDX, VIN [XXX] , account number [INSERT ACCOUNT NUMBER], by Honda Financial Services. This repossession was cond
... ucted without any prior notice, without communication of the date, time, or location, and without any legal authorization or court order. 1. No opportunity to respond or act • I was outside the country at the time of repossession and had no chance to respond or protect my rights. • The vehicle was removed one day before my arrival, despite my sister attempting to coordinate that the vehicle be held because my mother is seriously ill and could not make payments. • The vehicle had been immobilized for 4 months due to brake and acceleration defects, which were part of a manufacturer recall affecting all MDX vehicles. 2. Illegal and premeditated removal • My vehicle was removed from a private garage using a towing company, without a court order, without my consent, and without legal authorization. • Video evidence clearly shows the doors were closed; the individual opened them himself, deliberately removed the license plates, and covered his face to avoid surveillance cameras. • These actions constitute intentional concealment, unlawful seizure, and theft, not a lawful repossession. 3. Obstruction of Lemon Law claim • Honda Financial never took the vehicle for inspection or repairs, deliberately preventing evidence of factory defects that rendered the vehicle unusable for over a year. • After multiple attempts to resolve the issue, Honda Financial claimed they have no record, effectively denying rightful compensation and acting in bad faith to sabotage my Lemon Law claim. 4. The vehicle front brake disks are not compatible for this vehicle. The action of braking causes heating of the disks. The disks warp due to the heat. The result is when braking at highway speeds, the entire front end vibrates excessively. This is unsafe in wet or snowy conditions as this greatly decreases the braking efficiency. The first time this was observed the vehicle had 22,000 miles and the
... dealership machined the rotors. The second time it happened at vehicle mileage of 32,000. Once again the rotors were 'machined' by the dealership. While driving 60 mph in highway, ABS, traction control and brake lights lit up and vehicle lost its effective braking power. There were no prior warnings prior to this failure. It was a sudden incident. Since it wasn't rush hour, I could safely reduce speed and bring the car to stop. Situation could have been much different if it was normal hours. After taking the car to dealership, it indicated D
... TC code 1391, Brake Assembly Failure. The car was fixed at dealership at cost of $3,000. When researched further, it appeared that there is broader pattern of failures. Numerous reports have been made by owners of 2010–2015 Toyota Prius, Prius PHV, 2012–2015 Prius V, 2012–2014 Camry Hybrid, and 2013–2015 Avalon Hybrid vehicles, all of which share the same brake booster pump assembly design manufactured by Advics Co., Ltd. Dealerships, including Capistrano Toyota and Claremont Toyota in California, have previously petitioned NHTSA regarding this very defect. Their 2019 letter to the agency documented that Toyota: * Knowingly excluded hundreds of thousands of hybrids from prior safety recalls (DOH 13V-235 and KOL 19V-544) despite identical failures. *Issued “post-failure” repair programs (Warranty Enhancements ZJB, ZKK, ZKC, ZLM, 20LE03, 23TE06 and 23TE07) only after owners experienced brake failure. * Identified the same DTC codes (C1252, C1253, C1256, C1391, U0293) in both recalled and unrecalled vehicles—codes that correspond to accumulator leaks, loss of brake pressure, and failure of brake assist and stability control systems. * Admitted through Technical Service Bulletin TSB-0130-19 that these defects caused loss of hydraulic pressure, increased stopping distance, and total loss of brake assist in affected hybrids. In short, the defect pattern across multiple hybrid models is identical to those already recognized by Toyota and NHTSA under prior recall campaigns, but for reasons unexplained, Toyota limited the recall population and left many consumers unprotectedRead more

October 30, at approximately 8:00 AM MDT. While I was heading to work, I was approaching an intersection with a vehicle in front of me making a left turn in the opposite direction was a vehicle also preparing to make a left turn and as I approached the intersection the vehicle turned in front of me. I fully applied the brakes, and the pedal went to the floor, my truck did not stop or slow down. I
... ended up striking the vehicle turning in front of me, fortunately at a low speed of approximately 11-12 miles per hour. My vehicle coasted to a stop after which I was able to carefully pull off to the side of the road. My truck was deemed drivable at the time after the accident but I noticed that the pedal is spongy and it took pumping the brakes to get them to apply. I almost had another accident around 10:30 AM, when coming to a stop behind several other vehicles. Again I applied the brakes and they went to the floor. The truck very slowly came to a stop, finally stopping 5 feet from the rear of the car in front of me. This was extremely nerve racking because I thought I was about to have another accident. After talking with my insurance company, they deemed the truck unsafe to drive and had it towed to the repair shop. Additionally, back during a trip to California from September 28 to October 15. We were towing our 2024 East to West Alta Travel Trailer. During the trip I noticed very sporadically the trailer brakes would apply to much or more often appear to not apply the trailer brakes at all. Multiple time I had to use the manual brake booter switch in order to stop the truck. I believe that this issue with the brakes was actually beginning during that trip. I also have done some research and there appears to be several other complaints with the same model year 2024 Ram 2500. When I get my truck back from being repaired I am scarred of it not braking and getting involved in another accident. Something needs to be done before any serious injury or death occurs.Read more

Brake lights stay on even after turning off car. According to my research the problem is a brake pedal bumper that deteriorated. I actually found the rubber piece on the floor. Prior to finding out my brakes remained on, the red engine light turned on. I checked recalls for this problem, and there was one, but it was only valid for high humidity States. I live in California so I didn't qualify. N
... ow, due to not knowing what the red light was about, and it being smog time, I cleared the engine light. Well, I didn't know that disqualifies my smog test because other codes were erased.now I have a car that is battery disconnect since I can't drive it due to not smog certified. All because of a rubber brake part falling off. I?called my dealer if it was covered by recall, they said no, even though there IS a recall for humid areas. I don't live in a humid area. So my case shows that it DOES NOT have to be humidity related. It's just a cheap quality part. I'm hoping this changes to include ALL areas. Thank you.Read more

While driving on a residential side street my 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (81,996 miles) suddenly lost power steering and braking with no waring. Several messages appeared in the dash and the check engine light illuminated. I was able get the vehicle safely to the shoulder and put in park without power steering or brakes. At this point the engine stalled and would not restart. The vehicle was
... towed to the nearest Chevy dealer on 10/29/2025. The technician verified the loss of power steering, brakes, and several other codes and diagnosed the issue as corroded engine grounding straps per GM bulletin #23-NA-201. The grounding straps were replaced and the codes cleared. The technician test drove the vehicle and verified normal operation after the repair. I was responsible for paying the full cost of these repairs as my vehicle was out of warranty. I feel incredibly fortunate that this happened on a residential side street with no traffic. Had this failure happened on the expressway while pulling my 4,000 lb trailer, this could have been a fatal accident if I suddenly lost power steering, brakes and had the engine stall like it did. I see multiple complaints for this issue on the NHTSA website and the GM TSB for this issue dates back to 2023. I am shocked that this is not a nationwide recall yet. It is a significant safety threat to the driver and others. I also know this is not an isolated incident, as my service advisor at the dealer suggested it was probably the grounding straps before the technician even inspected my vehicle. It was pretty clear from our conversation that I was not the first vehicle they had repaired with this issue.Read more

The engine and turbo system failed in my 2017 Infiniti Q50 Signature Edition (VIN [XXX] ). The vehicle remains at CarMax Naperville, where it has been since March 2025. Internal repair orders show CarMax performed two failed inspections in August 2020 before selling the vehicle as “CarMax Certified” on September 3, 2020. The vehicle should not have passed certification. Shortly after purchasi
... ng the vehicle, I noticed it was pulling hard to the right. During my first tire rotation and oil change, the technician informed me that all four tires were severely dry-rotted and unsafe to drive on. CarMax had represented the vehicle as fully inspected and road-ready. These conditions suggest the vehicle had sat for an extended period after a prior four-point accident and should have never been certified for sale. None of this was disclosed to me at purchase. In March 2025, the engine failed. CarMax later reported that a replacement engine was installed, part #10102-6HN3A (single-turbo) instead of the required #10102-5CH2D (twin-turbo VR30DDTT). This engine does not match the original factory specifications for my VIN. Infiniti of Naperville confirmed that my vehicle qualifies for a free extended turbo and engine warranty (TSB P4A05/P4A06), but CarMax declined to use the required OEM one-time-use parts, voiding that coverage. CarMax has refused to provide inspection reports, diagnostic data, emissions test results, or engine serial numbers despite over forty written requests. I have no documentation confirming what work was performed or whether the vehicle is safe or compliant with emissions standards. The car has now been sitting at CarMax for over seven months, with rusted brakes and unknown mechanical condition. They are just concerned about me coming to get the car. ... Yes, the problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. No, the vehicle has not been inspected by the Police, Manufacturer, or Insurance Representatives. The ABS lamp came on, as well as others. It has been at the service shop for one month. The owner of the shop told me that the "working" part is unavailable, right now. He is looking in Junkyards for a used part. I wrote an email to [XXX] " and they said that they're not working on Jeeps with this problem right now, because they can't get the "chips" (Micro processors). I called the Jeep Dealership, they told me that the part would cost me $371.70. Then I talked with the service Manager. He told me that installation and programming would cost me $490.00 + tax. That's a total of $861.70. Then he mentioned it could take 2 years, 1 year; or 6 Months to get the part. He said that he just got one in, and the lady had waited since February (8 Months) to get her part. Different year models require different versions of this part, and it is made in China. This shortage of ABS Modules has been going on for years! I have done multiple searches on the internet, and I found that there are thousands of people with this problem. I also found out that the ABS modules for sale on Amazon and Ebay do NOT work. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I had a frontal accident on March 6, 2025. When I turned to pull into the driveway of my rental apartment, I lost control of the vehicle. It surged forward, climbed a low retaining wall of about 14" and then hit a support post. I sat there stunned thinking "what just happened and how?" At first, I thought it was me, but thinking about it more, I'm wondering if this could be a potential safety pro
... blem. I have read several other similar instances on the internet, and someone I know had a similar accident which was attributed to her age. Collision repair for the Crosstrek was $10,358 done by a local facility, not Subaru. Repair of damage to the support post was $1,340. I reported this to Subaru, but after several follow-ups (last one on July 29, 2025), I still have not received a reply from Subaru. I can forward the email string to you if you want. I don't know how to attach it in one of the acceptable formats.Read more

The ABS Module has failed causing the stabiltrak , brake light , and ABS lights to come on the dash. We took it to the dealer and evidently this is a common issue with the jeep wranglers and dodge rams.. So much that the part is back ordered and there is no eta. Some people have been waiting over a year. They say it’s under engineering review. Anyway My Wife was driving the other day and someone
... had pulled out in front of her and she hit the brakes real hard and it made a weird noise and the brakes locked up. Almost causing her to swerve and lose control. I have the service report that says ABS module and backed ordered with no eta.. I have heard other peoples jeeps just going over to broke mode and can only drive 30 mph. It’s crazy? What are we the consumer supposed to do. Can’t afford to trade it in for another vehicle. But need a vehicle for work or keep driving it and hope brakes or something else doesn’t fail when you need it… Thank YouRead more

I am concerned regarding the safety of this model and the hydraulic brake control unit/ ABS as I live in colorado it’s about to be snow season and my wife drives this vehicle to work on snow days. I’ve read the part failure can cause abs to fail and may lead to crash. Recall notice states no known remedy, and it’s been almost a year since the notice was issued.

The vehicle experiences sudden, uncommanded braking on clear roads due to a malfunction in the Audi Pre Sense system. The system falsely detects obstacles and applies the brakes abruptly, creating a safety hazard for occupants and surrounding traffic. The issue was reported to Audi Beverly Hills multiple times beginning July 2023, including through the dealer's online service request system. Howev
... er, the dealer repeatedly failed to document braking concern on repair orders until insistent during latest visit. In one visit (August 7, 2023), the dealer reduced the Pre Sense sensitivity without creating a repair order or performing diagnostics. At other times, service advisors stated the vehicle was 'operating normally' or refused to record the concern unless it could be duplicated during a short test drive. On August 25, 2025, the dealer finally documented my complaint as 'car would brake randomly' and performed an SVM reconfiguration, but the issue persists. The vehicle is currently used rarely for safety.Read more

I have experienced brake failure twice while driving my 2023 Chevrolet Colorado. When the failure occurs, the dashboard displays multiple warnings, including “Service Traction Control,” “Service Power Steering Drive With Care,” and “No Assist Soon.” When these messages appear, the steering becomes extremely stiff, the brakes lose stopping power, and the vehicle becomes very difficult t
... o control. The first incident happened around April 2024, and the dealer performed a software update. The issue happened again around October 2024 at approximately 24,000 miles. The vehicle is primarily used on highways and has no modifications. This is a serious safety concern. The combination of brake loss and power steering failure could result in loss of control, crash, injury, or death. There was no warning before the failures occurred. The dealer cannot confirm a permanent fix. This problem needs to be investigated for a potential recall. This vehicle is now unsafe and unreliable. I refuse to transport my family in it. I am seeking a full refund/buyback, as multiple safety system failures are unacceptable and dangerous.Read more

When I purchased this vehicle there were no problems, no lights on my dash, the trim all matched and was the color blue. Then after having a falling out with some family members I started noticing problems with my HVAC system. It started with antifreeze leaks then id fix it and the next week the radiator hose would be leaking again. I started really keeping track of everything about my car after t
... hat. Next I started noticing parts changed and parts missing. My VSC fuse block in the engine bay is completely missing now. Next I started noticing while driving my seat would move without me doing anything. The family member that I had a falling out with is in the HVAC union also. While driving I hear some type of switch click on and a gas smell starting coming out of my vents. Also I noticed after getting an aliment done that someone had adjusted the aliment bolts over night it's very noticable. You can clearly see where someone ran new electric wires for something. I went to the police 3 the mea about the issue but no investigation. Please help.Read more
