The C4B recall on my truck has been open for over a year and Ram / MOPAR just keep saying no part available when I take it in to get fixed. The truck will not stay in cruise control every time the light dings. It is a hydraulic controller for the brake fluid which seems like it is a huge safety risk if it does fail while driving.

The safety component that is covered under the SBC warranty is the entire brake master cylinder specifically the part that is bad is the brake pedal position sensor The car is undriveable without it, they have a 25-year warranty on it yet they have no parts and no way to fix it which is obviously unacceptable they've also refused to provide a loaner car until they come up with a way to fix my car
... leaving me on the side of the road with nothing to drive it's unacceptable! My safety and everybody's safety on the road is affected by this because the car won't stop if you drive it and you have really strong legs you can get it to slow down and eventually stop it's completely unsafe The brake pedal cannot tell the computer where it is in its travel which means the system doesn't know that you're applying the brakes which don't work. Yes the problem has been confirmed by two shops one of which has a snap-on scanner which I can attach the scan to showing the issue and currently the car is sitting at a shop that uses Mercedes-Benz only star system the same system that they use in the dealership there is no question at any level what is wrong with the vehicle. The car is not safe to drive to the dealership and now in the winter this $132,000 convertible isn't going to be driven in the salt just to get to a dealership to find out what they're not going to do for me I've already confirmed and share the scans and images and everybody I've spoken with at the dealerships agrees that it's ridiculous that Mercedes has a 25-year warranty on a part that they do not make do not have and cannot fix Yes there are two different brake malfunction lights that are on the dash you cannot clear them as though in a code way like you can on some things and the car is not to be driven, the problem first arose a couple months ago and we started diagnosing it until on the Facebook forum somebody told me that it's covered by a 25-year SBC warranty which when I contacted the dealer and Mercedes-Read more

Please add this to complaint number: 11702732 This is a supplemental complaint regarding the same safety issue I previously reported involving Safety Recall C4B on my 2018 Ram 2500 - complaint # 11702732 In addition to the safety concerns and the prior accident I described in my original complaint, the unresolved recall has also caused significant financial harm. I still owe approximately $15,10
... 0 on the vehicle and must make a $515 monthly payment. Because the recall remedy has been unavailable for years, I cannot legally sell or trade the vehicle, even though it should have substantial equity. The truck’s resale value has dropped due to the open safety recall with no remedy, leaving me financially stuck with an unsafe vehicle I cannot get rid of and a high payment that I currently cannot afford due to job loss. The unresolved recall continues to put me in danger during winter driving, and the lack of remedy has created both a safety crisis and a serious financial hardship. The Brake Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) covered under Safety Recall C4B has been unavailable for several years, leaving my 2018 Ram 2500 with ongoing ABS, traction control, and electronic stability control malfunctions. This defect has already caused an actual accident. In January 2024, during snow conditions, the ABS and traction control failed while I was braking in my driveway. The truck slid u
... ncontrollably and struck a tree, causing over $10,000 in damage that had to be repaired through my insurance. This incident occurred specifically because the brake and stability systems did not function properly. The issue continues to create serious safety risks, especially in winter. The warning lights for ABS and traction control are on constantly, accompanied by continuous dinging that is extremely distracting and stressful to drive with. The truck loses stability on snow or ice, braking distance is increased, and the vehicle behaves unpredictably. I am now driving again in snow and ice this winter, and I am genuinely afraid this defect will cause another accident. Despite this being an acknowledged safety recall, every dealership I contact says the replacement HCU part is still “not available” for my vehicle. This has been confirmed repeatedly by multiple dealerships and by the manufacturer’s recall hotline. I have attempted to get this recall repaired for several years with no success. Because the recall remedy is unavailable, the vehicle remains unsafe to operate, yet I have no alternative transportation and must drive it daily. I also cannot sell or trade the truck, which has caused significant financial harm. I am requesting NHTSA assistance because the recall remedy has not been provided within a reasonable timeframe, the vehicle remains unsafe, and the defect has already contributed to a crash.Read more

He suggested what I had already done including removing the battery cables. We did all this to no avail. He got the car then took 3 days to get it to release after opening and closing the door 10 times before starting the car again. He said I need a modulator valve. SUMMARY OF SAFETY DEFECT: Multiple critical safety systems randomly disengage without warning while the vehicle is in operation, creating an immediate crash hazard. DETAILED DESCRIPTION: For approximately one month, my vehicle has experienced intermittent, unpredictable failures of multiple safety-critical systems while driving. These failures occur randomly during operation and include: Regenera
... tive Braking System Failure (PRIMARY SAFETY CONCERN) Lane Departure Warning System Failure Automatic Vehicle Hold System Failure Traction Control System Failure Automatic Emergency Braking System Failure Electronic Stability Control System Failure SAFETY HAZARD ANALYSIS: The sudden disengagement of regenerative braking while driving poses an acute collision risk. Tesla vehicles are designed with regenerative braking as the primary deceleration method when releasing the accelerator. Drivers develop muscle memory and expectations based on consistent vehicle behavior. When regenerative braking unexpectedly disengages mid-drive, the vehicle's deceleration characteristics change dramatically and without warning, creating a dangerous situation where: The driver expects normal deceleration upon releasing the accelerator The vehicle instead continues at speed, requiring sudden brake application Reaction time is insufficient to compensate for the unexpected behavior change Rear-end collisions or other crashes become likely, particularly in traffic Similarly, the Automatic Vehicle Hold feature unexpectedly disengaging means the vehicle may roll when the driver expects it to remain stationary at traffic lights or stop signs. PATTERN AND FREQUENCY: These system failures occur randomly and unpredictably while driving. The issues sometimes resolve after: Restarting the vehicle Restarting the cent However, the failures recur without warning during subsequent driving. MANUFACTURER RESPONSE: Service Visit Date: November 28, 2024 Diagnosis: Tesla Service Center acknowledged this as aRead more

Break pads wear unevenly after only 20 thousand miles and need to be replaced.
Incident date: Sep 1, 2025
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The brake hydraulic system failed due to a rusted and leaking brake line running from the front to the rear of the vehicle. The damaged brake line is still on the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The brake line lea
... k caused the brake pedal to go to the floor, significantly reducing or eliminating braking ability. This created a high risk of being unable to stop the vehicle, which could lead to a collision and put myself, passengers, pedestrians, and other drivers in danger. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The issue was confirmed by an independent service center (Busse Automotive) during a brake system evaluation. They traced the brake fluid leak to a rusted brake line section that needs replacement. 4. Upon backing the Kia out of my driveway the brakes failed completly. Upon removing the brake line shield I found extensive corrosion of the brake line resulting in a massive fluid loss. There is a Voluntary Service Campaign by Kia Motors for this issue. But, it only pertains to automobiles driven in high road salt usage states. I live on the coast of Alabama where the air is laden with salt. In fa
... ct our building codes here require the utilization of only stainless steel fastners due to this effect. In my opinion this recall should include the coast of Alabama. I did speak with Kia (Case number 25706168) but they could offer no remedy as my car was not operated in a high road salt state.Read more

I have been leasing this vehicle for approximately 3 years and have experienced constant engine problems; knocking and jolting forward. There have been four safety recalls and I mentioned the engine issues at the dealership. I was told not use the electric engine and keep the car in gas mode. This has not fixed the problem; it jolts forward randomly which is very scary. I only have this one ve

Incident date: 2025-11-22 Location: I-70 (while taking an exit) Dealership: Jim Coleman Cadillac (vehicle purchased and routinely serviced here) I am reporting a sudden and severe brake system failure that created an immediate risk to vehicle occupants. On 2025-11-22 my wife was driving our Escalade with our two children when, while taking an exit on I-70, she felt the brakes go completely limp
... and the vehicle would not slow down as expected. The vehicle had been driving normally beforehand; we had made a couple of stops earlier that day. She was able to reduce speed and bring the vehicle to a stop without colliding with another vehicle, but this was only because there was no traffic immediately ahead. A tow was called; the vehicle was first towed to a nearby Cadillac dealer for initial diagnostics and then to Jim Coleman Cadillac where the vehicle was purchased and where all prior services and repairs have been completed. The most recent service/inspection at Jim Coleman had been completed a few weeks prior and no brake concerns or repair recommendations were noted at that time. The last documented brake service prior to this incident was in 2022 at the same dealership. After the incident, when inspected, the dealership service manager reported his findings: "The bolt on the top left front brake caliper walked out, the caliper swung rearward pivoting on the still secured lower bolt and the top piston was expelled from the caliper resulting in rapid loss of brake fluid and a failure of the hydraulic brakes. The reason the bolt came off could have been due to improper machine of the bolt or the caliper bracket that it was screwed into." This failure occurred without warning and represents an extreme safety hazard that could have caused a serious crash. I request that NHTSA review this incident as a potential safety defect, and that it be added to any investigation regarding similar complaints for this model/year.Read more

The manual parking brake system (hand lever) failed to adequately restrain the vehicle when fully engaged. The component is available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk because the vehicle failed to remain securely parked with the parking brake fully engaged. If parked on an incline, this defect creates a risk of the vehicle rolling and causing an accident. Additionally, a full
... y functional parking brake is a critical emergency braking backup system, which is compromised by this malfunction. I have not gotten to a dealer to get it checked yet. There was a warning light eventually. After a couple of times, I pushed on the accelerator once I realized the parking brake was on. I turned it off. It was only when I noticed it was a bit jankey when attempting to reverse is when i noticed itRead more

Ever since I bought by car in 2022 brand new the car has been shaking when I press on the brakes going around 70 mph. I took the car multiple times to the dealership and all they do is resurface the rotos. One time they refused to even look at the car so I called corporate and they got the dealership to do the same thing as before. But still the car shakes. I called corporate and they said to take
... to dealership to once again get the rotos resurfaced (how many times are they planning to resurface the damn rotors?) I took to dealership because the car was saying it was overheating. They ended up changing the thermostat or something related to it. And I asked them to once again look at the rotors because of the issue. The guy came back and said “we didn’t look at your rotors but you need brakes and that’s $500”. They refused to guarantee me if doing the break job will fix my issue. And I’m fed up. I looked online and as it turns out, the Santa Fe’s have a lot of possible manufacture defects. Such as: -Breaking System (Shudder / Vibration Common Issue) -Cooling System (Common Failures) - Suspension & Steering Components -AWD / Drivetrain (If AWD) -Electronics & Software - TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) Audit - Turbo oil-supply pipe crack / oil leak risk -Fuel-system pipe / fuel-rail hose leak (on certain turbo models -Transmission oil-pump / transmission-system recall (power-train issues) -Rear-view / backup-camera defect (visibility / electronics issue) (this actually did happen to me and they fixed it, but they denied it was a recall when I asked if this was common. So they lied) -Trailer-hitch wiring harness fire-risk recall And possibly more issues I’ve yet to come across other owners having. These are pretty serious issues. Some causing even the car to catch fire. This is extremely worrisome and I need peace of mind. Please help me out Thank you for your timeRead more
