When I was pulling out of the gas station parking lot on Dec 15th, 2025, I pressed the gas and heard a noise that sounded like high RPMs. I then approached the intersection and attempted to press the brake and the brake would not press in, it was hard. My truck then continued to move forward. I attempted to turn the steering wheel as a truck was coming at me. The steering wheel would not turn or m
... ove at all. I was stuck in the middle of an intersection after it rolled to a stop. I turned on my flashers and looked at the dashboard to make sure my truck was in drive, which it was. A message was also displayed on the dashboard. It said accessory mode. I could hear my truck running. I cleared the message by pressing the ok button on the steering wheel. I put it in park and then into drive and the same message displayed again on the dashboard. I decided to turn off my truck and pressed the push button to turn it off (my foot was off the brake as I don’t need to press the brake to turn my truck off) and the starter engaged and I put the truck in drive and was able to press the brake and turn the steering wheel. I slowly drove the short distance home and called my husband which he instructed me to call Evansville Ford in Evansville, WI and had my truck towed there. Obviously, not having steering or brakes is a HUGE safety issue. Less than 24 hours earlier I had my entire family in that truck driving on the interstate. I can’t image that we would be alive if I had lost brakes and steering on the interstate. As of Dec 19th 2025, Evansville Ford has stated that they cannot find any issues, nor replicate the problem and returned my truck. My truck is currently available for inspection at my residence.Read more

The contact owns a 2015 Ram ProMaster 2500. The contact stated that the same day that the vehicle was purchased, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that after shifting to park(P) and the parking brake was engaged, the vehicle rolled backwards. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle with an unknown sensor failure. The sensor and the brakes were re

When the gear lever was shifted to park(P) and the parking brake was engaged, the vehicle rolled backwards. The dealer was contacted, and the dealer at first refused to take the vehicle. After several months, the dealer took the vehicle, and it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel injectors, brakes, fuel tank, and an unknown sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was parked at the residence and had not been driven since. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.Read more

While driving on a residential street at about 30 mph, our car suddenly, on its own and without warning, braked sharply. There was no other vehicle near to initiate the sharp braking. Had there been a car behind us at the time, the braking was so sharp it hit might have rear ended our car. We have now taken the car to the dealer for their assessment of the issue and a solution.

There have been several times that I have been driving and either turning onto a 4-lane road (2 lanes going each way) or driving on the parkway, where my car has slammed on the brakes by itself. Not only was I not prepared for this to happen, but neither were the cars behind me. I tend to drive with at least 1.5 car-length space between myself and the car in front of me. Last week, I was making a
... right hand turn (going north) into the right lane from a residential street. The only other car near me was the one driving in the left lane (also going north). My car drove about 100 ft and maybe realized that there was a car next to me and just slammed on the brakes. I was suddenly thrown forward. My seat belt locked and I was thrown back into my seat. I had a bruise from my seat belt and came too close to slamming my head on my steering wheel. Thankfully, the car behind wasn't tailgating. About a month ago, I was driving on the parkway going east. I was originally in the right lane. I put on my blinker and when it was clear, I changed lanes to the middle lane. After I was clear and my blinker was off, my car started screaming to tell me that there was a car in my driver's blind spot (this happens EVERY time I switch lanes). I drove for maybe 1.5 - 2 miles and then suddenly, my car slammed on the brakes. Someone must be watching over me because the Escalade behind me (definitely tailgating) was somehow able to swerve into the left lane and then swerve around me to cut me off in revenge. They were screaming and honking at me, while I was screaming and yelling at my car. They could have easily have plowed into me (we were driving at least 60mph) and could have caused a horrible accident that could have killed myself or others around me. I have notified Hyundai of this issue and have read many similar complaints online. Hyundai claims they cannot "replicate the situation" and therefore, Hyundai Corp is unable to fix the problem.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? ABS Control Module (Part Number 68228991AD). Failure of this part prevents the ABS system, trailer brake, cruise control, and traction control from functioning properly. Part is currently installed into vehicle and is not available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at
... risk? Car no longer has ABS, traction control, trailer brake, or cruise control. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. This is a know issue with 2014-2016 Ram 1500s. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes. Following lights are on dashboard: Brake, Traction Control, ABS. OBD Code C2200 for internal module failure. Lights were first intermittent in the Summer of 2024. Came on permanently in early 2025. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION There is a design flaw in the ABS Module for these vehicles that causes them to malfunction. This issue affects thousands of Ram vehicles. The chip in the module that is defective is no longer being produced, and Stellantis is unable to provide replacement ABS modules at the rate they are needed. Thousands of these trucks are driving around with no ABS, T/C, etc or are sitting in shops waiting for a new module, as they will not pass state safety inspections. Stellantis will not acknowledge there is a design flaw with these modules, even though they have been listed as being under "Engineering Review" for multiple years. Due to the critical vehicle systems that are impacted, these ABS Modules must be recalled.Read more

In December 2024, at under 50,000 miles, my 2021 Chevrolet Colorado suffered complete brake failure caused by vacuum pump failure. The vacuum pump failure led to irreparable internal engine damage, requiring complete engine replacement under warranty. Sudden, complete brake failure in traffic could have led to a serious accident causing injuries or death to myself and/or others. The component was
... inspected by the manufacturer and the service advisor at the dealership stated this was "kind of a known issue on Colorados". There were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. This vacuum pump failure is documented in GM Technical Service Bulletin #21-NA-268, which addresses vacuum pump failures on other GM vehicles. The identical failure mode in my 2021 Colorado demonstrates this is a systemic manufacturing defect, not an isolated incident.Read more

Incident date: May 6, 2025
Beginning in May 2025, my 2025 Chevrolet Traverse began exhibiting a false “rear liftgate open” condition when the liftgate is fully closed. This defect triggers a continuous audible alarm that occurs before every drive and persists for the entire duration of the drive, stopping only when the vehicle is turned off. As a result of this defect, the rear windshield wiper and washer are disabled,
... eliminating rear visibility during rain and snow. The vehicle alarm system also cannot be armed, creating a security risk. The continuous alarm causes significant driver distraction, and the loss of rear visibility impairs safe operation of the vehicle, particularly in adverse weather. Minor children are frequent passengers, and the defect has occurred while they were in the vehicle. The vehicle has been presented to an authorized Chevrolet dealership on four separate occasions for the same issue. Multiple repair attempts, including diagnostics, software updates, component replacement, and latch assembly replacement, have failed to correct the defect. Because the alarm cannot be armed, the vehicle was left unsecured and was subsequently broken into, resulting in theft of personal property. General Motors has been notified and declined repurchase, directing me back to repeated diagnostics despite the unresolved safety-related defect. ... nth, I have invested over $200,000 with your dealership in the past 5 years!. My truck was recently held for two weeks for service. After I lodged a complaint, the General Manager suggested I seek service elsewhere. This recommendation was made after I responded to an email stating that, following the completion of repairs to the headliner, third brake light, and brakes/rotors, I would no longer be utilizing Crain's services. The headliner sustained water damage due to improper installation by your technician, and fingerprints were also evident. I firmly believe in transparent communication regarding service progress, which was notably absent in this instance. Both the General Manager and Service Manager deferred responsibility, instructing me to contact GM directly, only for GM to inform me that direct contact was inappropriate. This resulted in a continuous cycle of unaddressed concerns with the service manager. Currently, I am operating an $80,000 vehicle that has incurred damage from a technician and exhibits a ticking engine. Furthermore, the driver's side mirror, which was previously replaced due to shaking at highway speeds, is now exhibiting the same issue, despite a technician's assertion that this is normal. I also note that my brakes, with over 89% remaining, are beginning to squeak, which your team claims is normal. This assessment is difficult to accept.Read more

I am reporting a safety issue involving my Mercedes-Benz GLK 350 following repairs performed by an authorized dealership, Critz Mercedes-Benz in Savannah, Georgia. I brought the vehicle in due to persistent noise when shifting gears and steering-related symptoms. I asked the dealership to fully investigate the cause of the issue and not limit the diagnosis or repair to any single system, as I am n
... ot a mechanic and relied on their expertise. I paid $5,674.90 for the repair. During the process, a service advisor contacted me regarding an additional charge of approximately $800, which I approved to ensure the vehicle was repaired correctly and to avoid any claim that I declined recommended work. After the first repair, the noise was still present. I contacted the service advisor and returned the vehicle. After the vehicle had already been released to me, the dealership’s own technician recorded a diagnostic video stating that a suspension arm was “about to break.” I have the video and the email containing the link. This confirms the vehicle was returned to me with a serious unresolved safety defect, and I returned it after learning of this issue. The dealership performed additional work and released the vehicle again, but the noise remained. I asked the service advisor to hear the noise in person, after which he verbally stated that “all GLK 350s do that.” I later sent a text expressing my concern, and he replied in writing stating the same. I also have a saved and transcribed voicemail repeating this statement. Since the repair, the condition has worsened. Steering noise continues and braking effectiveness has degraded, requiring longer stopping distance. Because steering and suspension directly affect braking and vehicle control, this presents a safety risk. Due to the expense of the failed repair, I have no immediate alternative transportation and have been forced to continue driving the vehicle. The vehicle is available for inspection.Read more

My 2022 hybrid Maverick suddenly lost power as I was driving at 45 MPH. There was no warning lights; the entire dashboard went black. I lost all power including lights, speedometer, and power steering. Additionally, and more concerning, I lost all brake functionality so I could not stop the vehicle, even pressing the brake very hard. The parking brake switch also did not work due to the power loss
... . The brake pedal would not budge until suddenly after the vehicle completely lost all momentum. In the process blew through a stop sign and I could've easily been killed, or worse, killed other people as I had no control of the vehicle as it coasted. Thankfully nobody and nothing else was harmed as I was the only one on the road, it was just traumatic. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and preliminarily inspected. They decided they want to address a technical safety bulletin for a "no start condition", though the conditions did not match this situation exactly. But they also stated the hybrid/powertrain warranties did not apply, so I rejected the repair due to high cost. It is uncertain if the repair they want to do would fix the issue. It is currently available for inspection upon request, though Ford may try to buy it back soon. It has not been inspected by police or insurance. The only light I can think of was a month before I saw a brief "Charging System Service Soon" warning, but it was only on momentarily (did not persist). I am unsure if this is related.Read more

Car keeps throwing a C1391 Abnormal Leak in Accumulator code. The ABS, traction control, and brake lights are all illuminated. Hissing sound from brake pedal. Spongy feel when braking and incredibly soft braking as well, very hazardous to driving and stopping. This is a known issue with the 2010-2015 Prius, and a quick internet search shows thousands of other Prius owners who also have this issu
... e with their vehicles. It’s a safety hazard and can be potentially life threatening. Toyota is not doing anything to rectify this potentially fatal issue that impacts thousands of vehicles and vehicle owners and their families. Estimated cost of repair is upwards of $4,000 and simply not affordable to most consumers. Actions needs to be taken IMMEDIATELY by Toyota to recall these vehicles and fix them.Read more

Vehicle lost steering and brakes suddenly. Many errors on screen such as: Brake System Failure, ABS Failure, ESC Failure, Traction Control Failure, Maximum Vehicle Speed 43mph. Was able to slowly get home with no power assisted brakes. Did not drive it any more until it was taken to dealer 2 days later and the dealer could not replicate the errors. Dealer was able to see stored error codes; h

There is a SERIOUS safety-related FSD (full self driving) fundamental design flaw with stop sign behavior. On previous versions AND on the latest and best version of FSD (currently that is v14.2.1.25) when FSD approaches a stop sign AND there is no white painted stopping line, FSD will make its full initial stop (also called the zero-speed stop) directly at or behind the stop sign instead of maki
... ng the initial full stop beyond the stop sign at a location where the driver can see cross traffic. Sometimes the FSD initial full stop is 20, 30, 40, even 50+ feet back away from the edge of the road. At these distances from the edge of the road, most of the time, there is NO VISUAL of cross traffic left and right. The FSD stop then turns into the FSD "creep" where FSD, after stopping 30 feet back WILL THEN commit to the turn from 30 feet back giving drivers little to no time to see cross traffic. If I am the supervisor of FSD who is liable for my safety and my vehicle's safety, I need to be able to see cross traffic before my car (with FSD engaged) decides to commit to the turn, but FSD DOES NOT CARE IF THE DRIVER CAN SEE. The "creep" is perhaps the least human-like manuever that FSD performs. From the stopped location directly at the stop sign, they creep may inch up and stop again, it may inch up a COUPLE TIMES and stop again, it may pull up to the edge of the road and stop again, OR it may just pull out into oncoming traffic in one swift motion. Bc of this behavior, FSD has almost got rear ended countless times at stop signs. Also, cross traffic see's the creep and thinks i'm about to pull out in front of them Drivers go beyond the stop sign to a location where they can see to make their one and only full stop. To avoid this issue, FSD needs to do this too (i.e. make initial full stop at the edge of the road) This is legal in mostly every state (I live in PA) Tesla has not provided a single response to these reports and nothing seems to be getting done about it.Read more

The car was parked totally normal, went into a store, then came out to start it and when it was put in drive every light on the dash came on and gave a warning for “brake system failure top speed 43 mph” “service traction control” “service esc” “service steering column lock” “service brake pad monitor” “trailer brakes disabled service required”. Shut the vehicle off and res

Let the car shut down for a couple hours came back and started it and now everything acts normal except there is a Check engine light. Failure of the cam driven vacuum pump causing brake failure. Leading to a hard brake pedal which increases risk of a crash. Debris from the broken vacuum pump can fall down into the engine causing a catastrophic failure of the engine needing a replacement. This happens with little to no warning. Parking brakes can only be applied but cannot be released due to faulty design of the parking switch. This will cause the vehicle not able to move or be towed in an emergency especially when an engine failed to start. This problem confirmed by an independent repair shop and also has highlighted in several BMW group chats.

I was driving in I75 highway south in Michigan and heading to Ohio. I had around 70 mil/hr ish speed and was trying to pass a commercial truck. I Just turned on rear window wiper to clean it and once it started to work, the vehicle had a very hard brake for a couple seconds which the my seat belt pushed me hard to the seat to avoid of my head to go forward to windshield. Fortunately it was very q
... uick brake and didn’t caused any accident, but I was worried that it was repeated again and had a lot stress until I arrived at the destination. I am guessing probably either park brake was engaged without touching it(software or part issue) or the sensors for front and emergency collisions had the bad function.Read more
