2014 Mercedes e350 these models as well as those from2009-2015. Have recall on subframe but the brake lines rust out and deteriorate as mine has now done. If you go on line you tube etc. you will see the issue and all complaints. I had my subframe replaced under warranty at Mercedes of flemington. About 1 1/2 years ago. While it was being serviced they asked me if I wanted to replace brake lines f

On YouTube it was stated that individuals took mb to court or accountability for this but results were negative. Yet problem exists. If you breaks fail while driving it is very dangerous. Also I believe there is a recall for gas lines for my model 2014 manufactured from June and July. The brake lines on my vehicle are rusting as is gas tank. This also is dangerous condition should accidents occur the lines because compromised with rust can much easily rupture causing fuels to spew out causing possible explosive condition. Jeep needs to be accountable for this safety issue, how many people were not as lucky to avoid a collision. Completely unacceptable.Read more

The brakes on the car almost caused an accident where we would have rear ended the car in front of us. We were in a line of cars exiting a gravel parking lot traveling 5-10 mph. I pressed on the brake pedal as the car in front of us began to brake and our antilock brakes engaged and our car continued to travel forward towards the car in front of us. Luckily the car in front of us pulled out onto t
... he road and we did not hit them. Similar issues have happened a handful of times since buying in March of 2025. I am an experienced driver and am familiar with how antilock brakes work and when they should engage, these instances have not been such cases. It seems it will only be a matter of time until this causes accidents. Another instance was when approaching a stop sign and hitting rumble strips in the road. This improper engaging of antilock brakes can very easily lead to car not stopping in time putting myself, my family, and other vehicles traveling on road at risk. I called the dealer and they said there is no issue and the antilock brakes are acting as they should. I have owned several cars over my lifetime and never had antilock brakes engage in these same instances. Upon investigation online, other drivers are experiencing similar issues and Hyundai is denying the issue. I have an appointment scheduled to get it looked at. There were no warnings, messages or other symptoms of the problem. How many people are going to have to report the same issue or how many people are going to have to be hurt before action is taken.Read more

The van has a cross wind assist mode. When it activates it aggressively activates only one front wheel brake so dramatically that the van dives down and swerves out of the lane into the adjacent lane. The front wheel happened to be on wet pavement and it was chattering from braking so hard and not getting traction. I passed a slower motorcycle on the road and the crosswind assist almost caused me

The problem has not been reported to the dealer because i have read on several forums that dealers wont do anything about it. many people are complaining about this and it happens without warning. the problem started as soon as I bought the van, it now has 10,000 miles on it. The ABS Control Module failed 7/2025. Brake and other warning lights came on. My mechanic diagnosed as an ABS Control Module failure. After hours of callng dealers and parts stores, it was determined (and confirmed by Ram corporate) that there was LITERALLY ZERO OEM replacement parts in the US! I was informed that "the truck was safe to drive, but you will not have anti-lock brakes". I was stunned
... at the non-chalant response from RAM corporate that they knew there were no replacement parts available in the US, "but they were working on finding a supplier". So I asked the RAM representative, "so let me get this straight. On this safety critical system, you not only don't have any parts to repair my truck, you don't even have a supplier on contract to build them!" And RAM clearly knew about the failure rate on this part, because I just saw they were in a class-action lawsuit, which I also just saw didn't include the 2016 Ram, but starts with the 2017. While driving on a local neighborhood street at approximately 38 miles per hour, ( cruise control possibly engaged) , all the lights on my dashboard suddenly illuminated. A messages appeared stating that service was required for every guidance and braking system. At that moment I became concerned, so I attempted to use the brake. Despite pressing the brake pedal as hard as I could, the car did no
... t slow down. I cannot remember if I downshifted using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel, but I was able to coast to a manageable speed and pull into a parking lot. I then turned the vehicle off and on again, but all the warning lights remained on the dashboard. After waiting for about five minutes, the vehicle was restarted, and this time none of the warning lights were on. Since I was very close to home, I drove the rest of the way very slowly. Later, I searched online and discovered that other people have experienced this same problem. Some of the information I read suggested that water can get into a component, and it had been raining on the day of the incident and the day before. My primary safety concern is what would have happened if I had been approaching a stoplight or driving on a freeway where I needed to stop suddenly. I am confident that I would not have been able to stop in time to avoid a crash. It is frightening to think of what could happen if a child were to run into the street and this happening. I immediately made an appointment with my local Jeep dealership. The dealer has since driven the vehicle 98 miles but has not yet been able to replicate the issue.Read more

The brake lines badly rusted creating safety hazard as Tesla service reported when working on other maintenance. Not a warranty issue not covered as repair is over $3800. Along with the current unable to be fixed PCM recall, the customer service satisfaction program regarding the drivers side buckle replacement and the replacement of high-pressure fuel injectors that I was told they will only replace if there is an issue because it is not considered a recall. I have had multiple other recalls that were done and several issues that weren't related to recalls. In the
... first year the bushings were replaced to ease the loud noise when backing up. At 36,0000 miles I had no heat. The water pump failed and was fixed under powertrain warranty. At 41000 miles (just over warranty) the AC stopped working. The condenser failed and was my responsibility to pay. Ford did work out a deal with me on that repair due to all of the other issues I had previously. Currently, my drivers side back seatbelt does not work, the car shudders when driving and recently my forward collision indicator goes off for no reason. I have not reached out to have these items checked yet as I have spent far to much time dealing with Ford. I bought this car to feel safe and confident on the road and I have never felt that. The lack of compassion from Ford for all the money wasted in missed work and repairs because they cannot produce a quality vehicle is abhorrent.Read more

I own a new 2025 Honda CR-V purchased from Honda of Concord (Hendrick Automotive Group, Concord, NC). At around 220 miles, the vehicle’s dashboard displayed major safety warnings: “Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem” and “Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem.” Soon after, a very strong burning smell—similar to fire or overheated brakes—came from the vehicle. When I brough
... t it to Honda of Concord, the service advisor (Ashley Petisce) initially refused to accept or log my safety complaint. She only agreed to inspect the car after I stated that I would hold Honda and the dealership responsible if an accident occurred. Later that day, she also told me the burning smell was normal and would “go away after driving more,” which was alarming given the severity of the odor. After finally inspecting the car, the dealership found that both front rotors, pads, and calipers were defective and required replacement on this brand-new vehicle. When I requested that all related safety sensors (ACC, CMBS, radar, and cameras) be checked after the brake repair, the same advisor said she would “only check what policy allows,” meaning only the brakes, and no further sensor or system testing would be done. This raises serious safety concerns. The initial refusal to inspect could have resulted in brake failure or fire. The defective brake components indicate a potential manufacturing defect, and the disabled safety systems create an immediate crash-risk condition. The dealership’s refusal to confirm sensor functionality after the repair leaves the vehicle’s safety systems unverified. I request that NHTSA investigate whether other 2025 Honda CR-V vehicles have similar brake or sensor defects and whether Honda’s dealer network is properly following safety-reporting procedures.Read more

My 2017 Ram 1500 is experiencing a critical failure of the ABS control module, resulting in persistent brake system warning lights, ABS warning, and electronic stability control (ESC) warning on the dashboard. This failure disables the anti-lock braking system, traction control, and cruise control, posing a significant safety risk, especially in adverse conditions where ABS is essential to prevent
... wheel lockup. The dashboard warning lights are constantly illuminated, creating distraction and driver fatigue. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a faulty ABS control module but informed me the part is on indefinite backorder with no estimated availability. They provided no interim solution, leaving me to drive an unsafe vehicle without ABS or cruise control, critical for long-distance highway travel. The absence of ABS increases the risk of skidding or loss of control during emergency braking, particularly on wet or slippery surfaces. The disabled ESC further compromises vehicle stability. This failure at 125,000 miles on a well-maintained vehicle is unacceptable and appears to be a widespread issue, as numerous 2015-2018 Ram 1500 owners report identical problems online and in forums. This defect warrants an immediate NHTSA investigation and recall, as it mirrors issues in 2017-2018 Ram HD models already under recall for similar ABS/HCU failures. I should not be forced to drive an unsafe vehicle indefinitely or pay out-of-pocket ($500-$2,000 per dealership estimate) for a manufacturer defect affecting thousands. Please expedite a recall to ensure Ram/Stellantis provides prompt replacements or reimbursements. My truck has been meticulously maintained with regular service and there is no reason this should be happening.Read more

When slowly finishing my entry into a parking spot and braking the car suddenly accelerated to a high speed and bolted over the curb with a planter zone into another parked car directly facing my parking lane hitting the front passenger side. My car was still accelerating and hit another car to the left of the first parked car, hitting it in the rear driver side door. My car kept going until I was
... finally able to get the brake to work and it stopped just before another parking lot curb with planter zone. As far as I can tell the brake and or accelerator malfunctioned dangerously and suddenly. It could also have been a malfunctioning TPS (throttle positioning sensor). I would like my car inspected to determine what caused this malfunction. While everyone involved said they felt fine. One person, in the first car hit, was sitting in the driver seat, luckily no one was in the front passenger seat. That driver said she was ok. The second car was unoccupied. This dangerous incident had no warnings or symptoms prior to the accident. My online research shows that there was a recall that included my make and year for sticky pedal, floormat, and deformed accelerator cable housing. These can cause unintended acceleration or unresponsive pedal. According to the Toyota website my VIN has no outstanding recalls though. I would like my car checked out because any recall repair, if done, may not have been done thoroughly enough to prevent the collision I experienced on September 28, 2025, some 15 years or so after the 2010 recall.Read more

In March, 2024, as part of a mandatory Ford and NHTSA safety recall for a leaking master cylinder, we had our Ford Expedition serviced at Lugoff Ford, Lugoff, SC to replace the faulty brake parts. Ford Recall Reference: 22S11/22S11D - NHTSA Reference: 22V-150. At the time of the recall and replacement there was no indication of the master cylinder leaking. On [XXX] our brakes failed on a trip n
... ecessitating an emergency brake repair. The servicing shop found evidence that the master cylinder had failed, leaking brake fluid - the exact safety issue that the recall and repair in March 2024 was to fix. We are formally reporting this incident as a potential failure of a manufacturer's recall remedy. That a Ford-mandated safety repair failed in this manner indicates that the replacement parts or the repair procedures specified in the recall campaign are highly likely to be inadequate. This poses a significant risk to the thousands of other Ford Expedition owners who have had this recall service performed, as they may be unknowingly operating vehicles with a latent defect. We urge you to investigate the effectiveness of this recall and determine if other owners have experienced similar premature failures post-repair. This situation is unacceptable. A safety recall should increase a vehicle owner's confidence in their vehicle, not introduce a new failure point. We trusted Ford to correct a known defect, and that trust was broken. I’ve spent months and thousands of dollars replacing parts, performing alignments, and recalibrating sensors, including at Toyota dealerships. The problem persists because it is software-based, not mechanical. I discovered that in mid–2023, the NHTSA announced upcoming rules requiring Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with pedestrian detection by 2029. Around that same time, reports from multiple drivers (Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Ford, Subaru) began to appear describing the exact same issues. It seems manufacturers began silently updating vehicles to meet anticipated compliance standards. However, this introduced overly sensitive and malfunctioning driver-assist systems. The most alarming part is that the driver cannot fully disable these features — the “off” button only reduces their intervention. This means when the system malfunctions, the driver is forced to operate an unsafe vehicle. As a professional rideshare driver, this problem destroyed my ability to work. Passengers reported me for unsafe driving because of the car’s erratic behavior. I eventually lost my vehicle and income. I believe this is a systemic safety defect linked to premature or unregulated implementation of AEB software. Drivers deserve the right to fully disable malfunctioning systems that endanger lives. This is not just a car issue — it’s a public safety crisis that must be urgently investigated.Read more
