2025 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid AWD, with about 16000 miles. While driving, the brakes failed. The brakes would only work if the pedal was pushed all the way to the floor. A "Low Brake Power" warning light came on the dash. The following warnings came on at the same time. Parking Brake System, Advanced Ultrasonic Detection, Vehicle Stability Control, Check Engine, Smart Stop System, Brake
... System, Electronically controlled Brake, Secondary Collision Brake, Anti-lock Brake System. I was lucky to have been traveling on a road that was not busy and was traveling at less than 30 mph very close to my home. Had I been driving on the interstate, on a busy road, or near pedestrians, the event could have injured or killed myself, my family, or others. The car was towed into the dealership. The dealership said that the issue was not current and the car operated normally when after it was towed in. The following DTC codes where present (P05E000, P05E062). This indicates an issue in wiring or brake pedal stroke sensor. They suspect its an intermittent issue with the sensor. The sensor was replaced (P/N, 89510-0R010 and 62112-0E040-C1). They also said the car battery was low and replaced it (P/N 00544-H5061-540). The dealership said that they would send the affected part to Toyota for inspection, but I have not heard anything back. The dealership experience was poor (Mark Jacobson Toyota, Durham, NC).Read more

To Whom It May Concern: The purpose of my complaint is to bring to your attention reprehensible policies and misconduct displayed by the automaker, Acura, the premium subsidiary brand of the American Honda Motor Company. On 11/18/2025, I brought in my 2021 Acura TLX Tech w/SH-AWD in for a problem related to the brakes. The front brakes were and continue to make a jarring, very loud, high-pitched s
... queaking noise at low speeds. After 4 hours at Radley Acura of Falls Church, VA, the technician stated "could not duplicate" the concern. The problem persisted and I again returned on 12/18/2025 for the same issue. My vehicle has been at the dealership awaiting a response from Acura Client Relations on a claim that I submitted on 12/19/2025. Radley Acura diagnosed the issue as a well-known defect of 2021 TLX models, as evidenced by Acura's own service bulletin describing the very issue I continue to experience (and yet were unable to diagnose on 11/18). Radley Acura is stating that although my vehicle is 28,000+ miles UNDER the manufacturer's warranty, that by time, since purchase, it is outside the manufacturer's warranty by approximately 6 months. However, on 1/27/2025 (when my car was within manufacturer warranty and only had 17,215 miles on the odometer), I completed a lease buyout of my car. In addition, I paid to have it Acura Precision Certified. As part of this paid certification, Radley had my car for over a day to allegedly perform a 182-point inspection, and address a recall open for over a year (with a remedy from Acura - but allegedly no available repair parts to fix my car, until I requested to CPO my at the time of lease buyout). During their CPO inspection, the dealership failed to address the open service bulletin on the front brakes--a documented issue Acura has been aware of since before 2/15/2022, as established by their service bulletin. Now the dealership is stating the manufacturer's defect that they failed to address is $500 out of pocket expense.Read more

1. On several occasions while braking over uneven surfaces, the vehicle would not come to a complete stop, the brake pedals and steering wheel shook violently, and the vehicle continued to propel forward although I had the brakes engaged. This almost caused me to collide with other vehicles. The dealership could not replicate the issue and said it was a normal response. No, that is wrong; This is
... abnormal and dangerous. But at any rate, there was a safety recall recently to address the same issue that I have been complaining about so I hope it fixes the problem 2. Also, the paint on the roof rails and the door handles are flaking off. The coating and paint on the roof rails is splotchy, rough, and uneven, and the door handles continue to peel horribly. The dealership said corporate and parts denied my warranty request deeming the issue as normal wear and tear when the dealership said it was a paint and workmanship defect. No new vehicle should be losing its paint like this. Me simply opening a door and driving a car should not cause handles and roof rails to peel. It id getting worse. Also in conducting research on the issue, it is found to be a problem others have complained about as well. I have filed several complaints and claims in attempt to get my truck fixed.Read more

I am writing to report what I believe is a significant ergonomic issue with my vehicle. Every time I drive the car—even for short trips—I experience pain on the right side and toward the back of my knee. I have owned the vehicle for several weeks and have made numerous adjustments to the seat position in an effort to resolve the issue, but the pain has persisted. After researching reviews and
... feedback from other owners of the same model, I believe the problem may be related to the design and placement of the center console and pedal alignment. Specifically, the center console appears to be quite large and positioned very close to the gas pedal, and/or the brake pedal seems to be shifted further to the left than expected. This positioning appears to cause my right knee to overextend when braking. Because I live in a city environment and frequently encounter stop-and-go traffic, this issue is constant and has become unmanageable. Although I truly enjoy every other aspect of this vehicle, the ongoing pain makes it impossible for me to continue driving it comfortably or safely. As a result, I will be trading in the vehicle for a different model, despite my overall satisfaction with its other features. I wanted to formally document this concern in case it is helpful for future design considerations or evaluations, particularly if other drivers are experiencing similar discomfort. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Read more

On 3 separate occasions now, my vehicle has slammed on the brakes abruptly when there were no other cars around me in close proximity. The sensors vibrated the driver seat each time right before slamming brakes on, even though no other cars were even close to me. The sensors often go off when they shouldn’t be. The first time this happened, there were no cars ahead of me or beside me on the high
... way but there was one car behind me about 50 feet I’d say. Thankfully he was paying attention or he would have rear ended me. The 2nd time my husband was getting off an exit ramp so he was only going about 25mph and the car slammed the brakes on. There were no cars ahead of him or behind him. The 3rd time I was pulling out of a plaza entering a stop light and when I saw no cars coming, I started to pull out and it slammed on the brakes. There was a car behind me, but none beside me, and since I was turning left to approach the stop light, there were a few cars in each lane but they were about 20 feet away from me. None of these incidents should have activated the emergency braking. It has to be faulty sensors as they go off often when they shouldn’t. My husband and I both felt like we had bruised ribs and we thank God that nobody hit us, but at some point, we won’t be so lucky! And I am forced to drive this death trap because it’s not showing any codes for the dealership AND I still have to pay on my loan to drive an unsafe car!Read more

Brake booster failure
Incident date: Jan 5, 2026
I turned the car off, it had difficulty turning back on and the brake pedal got really hard. I had to wait about 30-45 minutes and then I was able to get the car started and brake pedal back to normal and no lights. Recently, I left the car on to run into a shop real quick and come back out. When I got back to the car, the power steering light, battery, and warning light?(amber triangle with ! In
... the center of it) were all on. I rev the engine and the issue went away for a quick second but then came back on. To avoid turning my car off and being stuck, I just shift to reverse and tried to leave. I’m backing out of the spot and now the backup camera is going in and out lights flashing on the dash and I’m trying to brake but the brake pedal isn’t registering and next thing you know, I’ve backed into a guard rail. On the way to drop my kids off at the babysitter, I was coming to a stop sign, and my car wouldn’t brake, i went through oncoming trafic and had to run off the road. KIA did a multi point inspection a few months apart from one another. One the car tested fine, then the second time they are saying a brake booster and no engine oil in the vehicle and that the car is basically trash. The oil light goes on and off and I can smell burning oil. I still owe 7 grand on this car and I just bought it last year and it was seamingly fine.Read more

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+, which has repeatedly shut down while driving, causing loss of power and reduced braking assistance. This defect has occurred at least five (5) times since I leased the vehicle and has not been corrected despite multiple repair attempts by Mercedes-Benz dealerships. The most serious incident occurred on December 30, 2025, whe
... n the vehicle shut down while I was actively driving. The dashboard displayed multiple warning messages including “Towing not permitted – see operator’s manual – malfunction.” As the vehicle powered down, braking assistance was reduced. I narrowly avoided colliding with the vehicle in front of me, and the vehicle behind me nearly struck my car. This was not an isolated incident. Similar shutdowns and malfunctions occurred on: •November 12, 2025 •March 27, 2024 •January 20, 2024 •November 28, 2023 (initial error documented while the vehicle was already being serviced at a Mercedes-Benz dealership) Each time, the vehicle was taken to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. Service records repeatedly state the issue was “fixed” or that “no fault codes were found.” Despite these assurances, the defect continues to occur. I have video evidence of the malfunctions and multiple repair orders documenting repeated unsuccessful repair attempts. The dealership did not offer towing, and I was forced to wait hours or days for the vehicle to regain functionality before driving it to the dealership, which itself posed a safety risk. This vehicle is unsafe to operate. A vehicle that shuts down while driving with loss of braking assistance presents a serious risk of injury or death. Mercedes-Benz has been unable or unwilling to correct this safety defect.Read more

Brake rotors on all four wheels measured below minimum thickness specification at only 17,000 miles, requiring complete replacement of all rotors and pads. Rotors replaced at Koch Mazda (Easton, PA) on January 7, 2026 and no longer available for inspection. SAFETY RISK: Rotors below minimum spec have reduced structural integrity and heat dissipation capacity, creating risk of warping, cracking, o
... r failure during emergency braking or sustained braking. Under-spec rotors can cause brake fade, increased stopping distances, and potential catastrophic failure. At 17,000 miles, this represents premature failure of a critical safety system. DEALER CONFIRMATION: Koch Mazda initially charged $89.99 for diagnostics claiming "nothing wrong" despite customer providing TSB 04-003/24 documentation. After formal complaint, dealership measured rotors below minimum spec and replaced all four rotors and pads as "non-warranty goodwill repair" (value $1,184.97). Calling it "goodwill" rather than warranty avoids documenting as defect claim. Dealership stated Mazda corporate approved the goodwill repair, indicating manufacturer awareness of widespread defect being managed case-by-case rather than through recall. WARNING SYMPTOMS: Popping/clicking noise when first moving forward or reverse after sitting idle. This symptom is specifically described in Mazda TSB 04-003/24 as caused by deteriorated grease between brake pads and shims. SYSTEMIC PATTERN: Research reveals hundreds of similar complaints across 2013-2025 CX-5 model years involving premature rotor/pad failure at 11,000-35,000 miles. TSB 04-003/24 addresses this exact pattern across multiple model years, confirming manufacturer awareness. Normal rotor life is 50,000-70,000 miles; failure at 17,000 miles suggests manufacturing defect, improper heat treatment, or design flaw affecting entire CX-5 brake system across 12+ model years.Read more

While driving at highway speeds, I experienced multiple loud, intermittent double-knocking noises within a short period of time, followed by an additional grinding/rotational noise at low speeds. These noises were abnormal and raised immediate safety concerns, prompting me to bring the vehicle to a dealer that day. During inspection and test driving, the noise condition was confirmed. Further ins
... pection revealed that a front brake caliper (flange) bolt was missing, and the brake caliper had shifted out of position. This bolt is a critical fastener that secures the brake caliper to the brake assembly and is available for inspection through service records. This condition posed a serious safety risk, as a shifted or unsecured brake caliper could result in reduced braking performance, brake failure, or wheel lock-up, potentially endangering vehicle occupants and other road users. The issue was confirmed by an authorized Honda service center, and the vehicle was inspected by manufacturer-authorized personnel. The vehicle was repaired at no charge by reinstalling the correct hardware and restoring the brake caliper to its proper position. One week later, I have come to find out this is a known issue, and Honda has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) for 2023–2024 Honda Passport vehicles addressing loose or missing front brake caliper/flange bolts. I never received a recall notice or voluntary letter from Honda notifying me this might be an issue or to have it inspected. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the incident; the only symptoms were the knocking noises at highway speeds and grinding noise at low speed.Read more

HTSA Safety Complaint Description The 2025 Tesla Cybertruck exhibits a persistent and recurring air suspension system defect that impairs safe vehicle operation. From the moment of delivery, the air suspension failed to raise or lower properly, displaying a fault message indicating potential restoration on the next drive. This did not occur. The issue included repeated overheating warnings, multip
... le system failure alerts, excessive compressor noise/knocking, steam and water discharge from the undercarriage, and the vehicle remaining stuck in a lowered ride height, causing scraping damage to underbody trim and mud flaps. The vehicle underwent a major warranty repair where the air suspension compressor was replaced due to a stuck exhaust valve and damaged air line, followed by recalibration. Despite this, suspension overheating warnings and intermittent system failure notifications continued to appear. On December 23, 2025, while driving at moderate speed in clear conditions, the vehicle suddenly and uncorrectably migrated off the roadway. Adaptive steering correction, braking intervention, and lane assist failed to engage. At the time of the incident, the display actively showed service notifications indicating suspension system failure and overheating. The vehicle veered into a ditch, resulting in a significant drop and requiring specialized heavy-duty extraction. This defect has impaired the vehicle’s handling, stability, and safety from delivery onward, with no resolution after attempted repair. The recurring nature and active failure alerts during the loss-of-control event suggest a serious safety risk.Read more

This is in regards to Recall #C4B for the ABS/HCU failure on my 2017 RAM. This recall was issued over a year ago in November of 2024, but Stellantis has yet to DO ANYTHING and can't even tell us when a remedy will be available. I have asked my local dealership and get the same answer, NOTHING!!! The parts must be available, because the dealership told me that I could purchase the part from them
... and pay them to install it. But, I would have to then wait to get reimbursed from Stellantis once the recall is "remedied". Two problems with this; 1) I don't have the $1500+ to spend on this, and 2) I don't trust them to ever pay me back! But, this does tell me that they have the parts. Plus, they have no trouble making and selling new vehicles with parts that don't have this safety failure. Can you make them prioritize this recall and take car of the thousands of RAM trucks with this safety issue. BTW, last month my brother-in-law was driving my truck on I-25 through Denver, CO. He hit an icy spot and lost traction causing him to go into a 360 spin. God was looking over him because he did hit anything or anyone. THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED IF THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM WOULD HAVE BEEN WORKING. STELLANTIS CAME VERY CLOSE TO BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS DEATH!!!Read more

The front right brake caliper on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler was installed upside down from the factory, with the bleeder screw located at the bottom of the caliper instead of the top. The vehicle has been serviced exclusively at authorized Jeep dealerships since new, with no prior front brake work, confirming this was a factory assembly defect and not the result of repair or modification. Because the
... bleeder screw is positioned at the bottom, air cannot be fully purged from the hydraulic system, which can result in incomplete bleeding, reduced braking performance, uneven pad wear, brake drag, or brake fade. This condition compromises the ability to properly service the braking system and may negatively affect braking effectiveness, creating a potential safety hazard, especially during emergency braking. The defect was discovered during routine inspection when brake performance and wear were evaluated (12-11-25). Photographs and dealership service records are available documenting the inverted caliper and confirming no prior disassembly.Read more

At low speeds and during final braking load, the vehicle produces a distinct clunk/release sensation, as if braking force is abruptly released just before stoppin
... g. This creates an unexpected weight-shift and inconsistent stopping behavior. The condition has occurred consistently since approximately 4,000 miles and has persisted through multiple dealer service visits. Physical inspection shows progressive circumferential rotor banding, pitting, and corrosion on all four wheels that does not clear with normal driving. This indicates the brake pads are failing to make uniform contact with the rotors, compromising the integrity of the vehicle's primary safety system. The dealer has acknowledged the symptoms but has declined Integrated Brake (IB) Module–related repair, stating the VIN is not currently flagged for recall. However, these symptoms are materially consistent with the failure modes described in NHTSA recalls 24V-104 and 24V-697 involving the Integrated Brake Module on this platform. Despite three documented repair attempts (October 2025 – December 2025), the manufacturer has failed to rectify the underlying mechanical defect. Due to the unpredictable braking behavior and visible degradation of the braking components, I have limited the vehicle’s use and do not consider it safe for highway or emergency braking situations.Read more

I have had a couple of issues that I have had others tell me or read online that they have had the same issues 1- When I bought the car, which was used at the time. Just a couple of years ago I drove it off of the lot and it had a break issue. I had to take it towed back to the dealership bc something broke underneath and the breaks were failing. So they fixed the problem supposedly. I only had
... a 30 day warranty and after the 30 days the breaks started grinding every time I stopped. This went on for a long time. I had an other mechanic look at it and did something and I can not recall exactly what he said but after about a week, the noise started back up and at that time I had had the car for about a yr and he said I still had about 25 percent left on my break pads. So probably about 4 months ago I changed my front breaks, including the rotors and the back breaks to, I also had to replace the front left caliber bc while trying to take the pin out of the caliber to clean it, the pin broke. So I replaced it. Took my care in to get inspected And they told me I need to do the back breaks and the back right caliber to pass inspection. So I did the work and got it done. I am not a rich person so I can only take it a mechanic if it something that I can not do myself my I have had good training bc had been a mechanic and had taught at mechanic schools so I know I have help and if I am not sure about something he will help. So now after doing all of that hard work, I am starting to hear the grinding noise again with the breaks and my breaks are good. It always starts our really light and then gets louder within a couple of weeks. 2- the second issue is that my airbag light is on, I am not sure why this is , I have never been in any kind of accident. One day just popped on and never went off 3- I have read online that you have had a recalls on newer models for Hyundai Elantra with the issue but not my year. Well my trunk latch ended up get latched and would not openRead more

LaFontaine Import Novi, Inc. DBA LaFontaine Novi, a franchised Infiniti entity with actual knowledge of these recalls (16V-244; 15V-033; 13V-445), failed to disclose or remediate these "Risk of Crash" and "Risk of Injury" defects before selling me a 2014 Infiniti QX60 on Nov 5, 2025. The dealer provided a "Pre-delivery inspection" record on November 4, 2025 to CARFAX, but delivered the vehicle wit
... h these open recalls and multiple "Red Alert" mechanical leaks in the engine, transmission, and fuel systems. Only 588 miles after delivery, on Dec 26, 2025, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic cooling system failure (the radiator and transmission cooler) which demonstrated that the vehicle was not safe or roadworthy. The Service Manager admitted on January 6, 2026, that the radiator was defective and needed full replacement, which confirms the vehicle was sold with a pre-existing systemic failureRead more

The car automatically brakes when nothing is in front of you and all of sudden it slams on its breaks. This is going to cause someone to rear end you. The steering is all over the road and does. It feels safe to drive. Transmission gets stuck and revs really high until it catches and they say nothing is wrong. Safety sensors go off all the time and nothing is near you. Key fob not detected,
