Very unusual and excessive rear brake pads and rotor decay, I was asked by dealership to replace brake pads and rotor just at 22000 miles, and then after replacing again they are asking to replace just after another 19000 miles. I received a call later that day from Martin on why my vehicle was there I explained the issue of loss of power and lights and door locks flickering and I believed it to be related to the recall. I received a text/email with the dealership making recommedations. I refuse them as they were not urgent and not why my vehicle was there. I received a text message 2/4/26 that my vehicle was ready to be picked up and they had ordered the recall parts and was a week out but I was able to pick up. I called mutiple times for 2 weeks to find out more and was never called back. on 2/14/26 I drove to the dealer ship to find out what was going on. I was told they still were waiting for part and when I asked what part they ordered and why I never got a call back I was only told they ordered a "valve kit" which Martin had to call the parts dept becuse my vehicle was not in there current service since they were waiting on parts. I asked what about the alternator and they said since I denied any repairs out side of the recall and the battery was an item I declined they did not test the alternator. I asked why they could not charge it as I expressed to them several times it was a new battery. they never answered me. but they told be they had to charge it to get it in to look at it. I said well doesn't that mean the alternator is bad and it needs to be replaced under the recall. after going back and fourth I ended up taking my vehicle and ended up agian on the side of the road with my daughter.Read more

In one instance a few years ago we were driving on a divided 4 lane state highway. Cruise control was on and ACC was on. We moved into the left lane to pass a car. When we came within ~20' of the car, the Pilot engaged in automatic braking hard as it detected the car we were attempting to pass as an obstacle in front of us. There was never any danger of hitting the other car. However, a car following us almost rear-ended our car due to the unforseen/not needed hard braking. My wife will no longer use cruise control in this vehicle since this happened. The dash 'brake' warning is easy to replicate if you drive for a while on the roads near my house. The auto braking is not able to reproduced on demand. Now the car is complaining to see the dealer about a CMBS (collision mitigation braking system) error. I'll have to troubleshoot this (or maybe just turn it off), but the entire system has been sub par and accident prone since original purchase new in 2019.Read more

I called the dealership and told them that the problem had not been fixed and it was worse they said that I would have to pay the service fee / price for parts if I wanted to bring the vehicle back in and to have problem fixed...I explained it was a re call and it was taken to them to have issue fixed in the first place ...and I was told I would have to pay since they updated software ..I then explained it was worse than when I took it to them and still got denied any kind of resolution to the problem. Nothing was fixed or solved. I still had the warning lights on dash and the problem was worse then when I took the vehicle to them for repair. Not long after the transmission went out and the vehicle hadn't been drove. So it sat for 2 yrs or so. I just got a new one put in and the vehicle still has the same problems with the brake system . There was no prior warning. Glass shattered violently, creating an immediate safety emergency that could have resulted in serious injury or loss of vehicle control. This incident was extremely frightening and posed a serious risk to myself, my passengers, and other motorists. Based on my research, similar incidents involving spontaneous sunroof shattering have been reported by other drivers, suggesting a possible systemic defect rather than an isolated incident. I believe these defects represent an unreasonable risk to public safety and warrant investigation. Yes. The Chevrolet dealership confirmed that both front and rear rotors have heat hot spots and advised replacement of the rotors and brake pads. Although I replaced the front break parts as suggested this did not repairthe issues. The vehicle is currently under review by a GM technician, but they have delayed a response sense January 14, 2026. ----- Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes. The vehicle was inspected by a Chevrolet dealership and reviewed by a GM technician. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. --- There were no dashboard warning lights. The primary symptom was loud, persistent squealing from the front and rear brakes and noticeable premature heat spots on all the roters. brake booster that was a recall that toyota said expired in 2020 when i bought the vehicle and the toyotal dealer didnt inform me of the recall to fix it said everything was fine when it was not, i had a dc inverter sensor brake booster issues and now it ills off my 12volt battery every time i put one in lasts about 1 mth, upset dealer never told me this wjhen took in tel me any recalls or probelm
... s, they said none, they lied to me. it kills off my 12volg agm batteries in the last 7 mths been having braking booster issues problems grrr,,, noise all the time when the car is off too, its killing off my hybrid system and my temathetics module is having issues too because of all this and evey battery i put in the car, i want the ntc gov to have toytota recall fix these problems with my car and not expire the recall they had in 2020 cause now i cant fix my car cause of it, i was lied to by the lavista toyota dealer that it has no probblems in 2020 of august when i bought it no recalls and this recall could have been fixed if they would have been honest. unexpire the recall on my brake booster and my dc inverter and sensors probelms killing off my new batteries all the time. call me right away or email me about this, its a urgent matter life or death situation with this car, since the brakes are failing and i have to drive it every day and toyota mfg or dealer wont fix cause says expired recalls cant fix it.Read more
