I stopped at a stoplight and my truck shut off, the doors unlocked and then immediately restarted and then came up with a bunch of errors telling me that my brake system failed and to get the traction control serviced. I then had no power braking. This is the second time my truck has shut off at a light and restarted, but I don’t lose my brakes the first time.

While driving with cruise control engaged, the car had a false positive for forward collision detection and slammed on the brakes at full Highway speed. After about one of second of emergency braking the car released the brakes and resumed cruise control as normal. There were NO other vehicles on the road in front or to the side of us at the time. Due to the unexpected braking, the vehicle follow
... ing us almost collided into us. The event triggered just before the shadow of the bridge was on road of the underpass. I suspect it was the shadow that might have contributed to this event. However, this is not the first time the vehicle has had false positives in the forward collision detection system. We have experienced many of these, but typically at lower speeds. Generally speaking the “triple beep” and associated Heads Us Display red “brake” symbols briefly flash, then goes away without engaging the brakes automatically, again with these there are no other vehicles present. We have called two different dealers to report this and they tell us there is no associated TSB/service bulletin or recall for our vehicle and no software update for this. We tell them that GM has had several software updates for their Ultium platform with their other vehicles to fix this, but there is still nothing from Honda. There is a SB 25-051 for the 2024 prologues that would seem to address this but it’s not applicable to the 2025 according to them even though the symptoms are the same. This needs to be looked into as BOTH dealers told us that they had several other customers complaining about the same thing.Read more

On the morning of March 27, 2026 I had an unexpected rear driver side break line blowout with out warning or indication of a broken/damaged break line. Luckily the line blew while I was traveling slowly into my work yard. This could have been a life threating failure, I live 13 miles away from the nearest town, which i have to drive everyday to pick up my daughter from school. The road is not only
... a 2 way road with the speed limit to 55, but at times its extremely curvy and dangerous. Ford should be ashamed that a multi billion dollar company is not willing to fix this and are willing to put families live in jeopardy. I had to get the car towed from my house to BIG Brand Tire where the technician confirmed that the break line in fact did burst causing my breaks to fail. Big Brand Tire charged me $357.91 and the tow charged me 30 due to how far i had to tow it.Read more

The towing technician let me know that Toyota put in an extremely low voltage battery in my Hybrid. He expressed how the standard for these vehicles is AGM or high performance batteries to ensure stable voltage for hybrid management, and compatibility with regenerative systems - using the right part prevents electrical issues. My brakes are connected to my electrical system. By putting in weak batteries and below standard expectation is putting their consumers at many risks with electrical malfunctions. The failure involves the trailer brake wiring system. The brake wiring harness near the rear bathroom plumbing exit is improperly routed and installed in direct proximity to moving suspension components. This has resulted in repeated abrasion and damage to the brake wiring, causing intermittent and reduced braking capability. The affected components are available for inspection upon request. This
... condition presents a serious safety hazard. The trailer (approx. 18,000 lbs GVW) experienced degraded braking performance, significantly increasing stopping distance and risk of loss of control, particularly at highway speeds or during emergency braking. This creates a substantial risk to the operator, passengers, and the public. The defect has occurred multiple times and is reproducible. The brake wiring has been damaged on at least three separate occasions due to continued contact with suspension components. The failure location and mechanism have remained consistent, indicating a systemic design or manufacturing defect rather than normal wear or isolated damage. The condition has been visually confirmed during service and repair. Despite repeated failures, no permanent corrective action has been implemented by the manufacturer. There were no consistent warning indicators prior to failure. The primary symptom was reduced or inconsistent trailer braking, which progressed as the wiring became further compromised. Based on repeated failures and consistent damage location, this represents a design defect involving improper routing and inadequate clearance of critical safety systems. This condition may affect other similarly constructed units and warrants further investigation for potential recall or corrective action.Read more

On March 27, 2026, I experienced a complete brake failure while driving a 2021 GMC Acadia in a school zone at approximately 3:00 PM. When I pressed the brake pedal, the vehicle did not respond. The vehicle had been inspected at a GM dealership on March 16, 2026, just eleven days prior, where the brake system was evaluated and no issues were identified. After the incident, the dealership diagnosed a leaking vacuum pump, which is a component that supports the brake booster system. This failure occurred without warning and created a dangerous situation. I am concerned this may indicate a broader safety defect.Read more

Incident 1: While driving my 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV at low-to-moderate speed, the vehicle suddenly and completely locked up without any driver input. There was no gradual slowing or normal braking behavior. Instead, the vehicle went immediately from moving to an abrupt, forceful stop, as if maximum braking was applied instantly. There were no warning lights, alerts, or audible signals before or dur
... ing the event, and there were no obstacles or vehicles in front of me. Incident 2 (approximately 6 months later): A second, nearly identical event occurred while I was accelerating or cruising. The vehicle again immediately locked up and came to a sudden stop with no warning and no driver input. There was no progressive braking or deceleration. The stop was instantaneous and extremely forceful, causing me to lurch forward into the steering wheel. There were no hazards or objects present that would justify emergency braking. Additional Details: Both events involved an immediate, full-force stop with no transition or gradual braking. There were no dashboard alerts, warning sounds, or messages during either incident. The behavior did not match any known system alerts (such as door open or limp mode). The dealership was unable to reproduce the issue and found no diagnostic trouble codes. This creates a serious safety risk, especially the risk of being rear-ended during normal driving.Read more

#### The ABS Defect 12. Within seven (7) days of purchase, and with fewer than [NUMBER] miles driven, the subject vehicle experienced a catastrophic failure of the ABS pump containing the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) [citation:1 from previous analysis]. 13. This failure caused the ABS warning light to illuminate and completely disabled the ABS functionality, reducing the braking system to non-p

Upon information and belief, the ABS pump/ECU unit contained manufacturing and/or design defects that existed at the time the vehicle left Defendants' control. #### The Airbag System Defect 16. On or about [DATE OF CRASH], Plaintiffs were involved in a motor vehicle collision while operating the subject 2026 Toyota Corolla. 17. Upon information and belief, the crash forces were of sufficient magnitude that the vehicle's Airbag Control Unit (ACU) should have deployed the front airbags. 18. The airbags failed to deploy, causing Plaintiffs to sustain enhanced injuries that would have been prevented or mitigated had the airbags functioned properly. 19. Upon information and belief, the Airbag Control Unit in the subject vehicle is of the same type or design as those implicated in prior class action litigation against Toyota involving defective ACUs manufactured by ZF-TRW Automotive . 20. Defendants have previously settled claims regarding ACUs that were vulnerable to "electrical overstress," which could disable the airbag system entirely during a crash, for $78.5 million . 21. Defendants failed to warn Plaintiffs that the 2026 Toyota Corolla might contain an ACU with these same vulnerabilities.Read more

My car has experienced unintended automatic emergency braking while driving in active traffic with no obstruction present. This created a serious risk of a rear-end collision from vehicles behind. Prior to this, the car had ongoing alignment and steering issues beginning shortly after purchase. The car consistently pulls while driving and has required multiple repair attempts, including alignment
... s and inspections of steering and suspension components. These repairs have not resolved the issue. The problem appears to be worsening. In addition to the unintended braking, the vehicle intermittently displays safety system warnings related to driver assistance features. The failure involves both mechanical and electronic systems, including steering alignment and automatic emergency braking. It's believed that incorrect alignment or suspension issues may be affecting sensor calibration and causing false collision detection. The car has been inspected multiple times by the dealership, but the issue has not been diagnosed or permanently repaired. The car's unsafe to operate due to unpredictable braking behavior. The warning signs that the car gives are “Traffic jam assist unavailable” and “Safety system malfunction” while driving. These warning messages and system malfunctions have been occurring intermittently since shortly after purchase in early 2025 and were previously reported to the dealership. The warnings continued after the incident and are documented with photos taken the following day. The safety systems appear to be unreliable and malfunctioning in real-time operation.Read more

The vehicle (2025 Kia Carnival Hybrid) has suffered from a systemic parasitic 12V battery drain since the first month of ownership. The first occurrence was July 20, 2025, requiring a jump-start from Kia Roadside Assistance. On 02/26/2026, the vehicle was presented at Moritz Kia Alliance for the same issue. The dealer diagnosed the 12V battery as defective (Code R04) and replaced it under warrant
... y. However, the defect persisted. On 03/10/2026, only 12 days later, the vehicle suffered another total electrical failure. I had to utilize Kia Roadside Assistance for a jump-start and drive the vehicle directly to the dealer without turning the engine off to ensure it could be serviced. This marked the second official repair attempt for this recurring defect. The vehicle has remained in dealer possession since March 10 (21 consecutive days). On March 11, only one day after drop-off, the Service Director threatened that the vehicle would be "impounded" after 60 days, despite the vehicle being the subject of an active Texas DMV Lemon Law Case (#26-0012638.CAF). On March 26, a critical safety failure occurred: during a start-up attempt, the Integrated Power Brake (IPB) system malfunctioned, causing the brake pedal to pulsate and physically "kick back" with significant force against my foot. I have serious concerns that this braking failure could occur while in motion, posing an unreasonable risk of high-speed collision, serious injury, or death. No root-cause diagnosis has been made. Furthermore, the main fuse box cover was left off during service, exposing critical electrical components. The vehicle is available for inspection.Read more

What component failed?
The rear brake system (rotors and pads) and the components associated with Safety Recall 25TA04 (rear brake hoses). The parts are available for inspection. * How was safety put at risk?
The dealer (Island Toyota, St. Croix) labeled my 2024 Tacoma "UNSAFE TO DRIVE" on Invoice #[XXX] but refused to perform the Federal Safety Recall (25TA04) for rear brake hoses unless I
... paid for an $800 brake job first. This violates federal law by making a safety recall conditional on customer-paid maintenance. I am currently driving a vehicle the dealer documented as "unsafe" because they withheld the free safety remedy. * Has the problem been confirmed?
Yes, the dealer confirmed the rear brakes are failed but refused the recall and the 36,000-mile warranty claim. * Has it been inspected by others?
Not yet. However, the dealer’s technician failed to record actual millimeter measurements for the pads or rotors on the official invoice. * Warning lamps or symptoms?
Metal on metal grinding noise from the rear brakes. No warning lamps appeared prior to the failure. * Additional Note on Records:
The dealer falsified my service records on Line C (Recall 25TC07), claiming I was "unwilling to wait" for a repair that was never even mentioned to me. The dealer also claims I denied service on Line B, but what actually happened is I refused to pay $800 for a premature brake failure that should be covered by my 36,000 mile warranty or as consequential damage from the recall. The dealer then used my refusal to pay for pads as an excuse to withhold the Federal Safety Recall (25TA04). I never denied the safety repair I denied a bill for a factory defect. I have uploaded photos of both rear wheels. The left side is healthy, but the right side is completely destroyed with deep scoring. This uneven wear at only 34,613 miles proves this is a manufacturing defect, not my driving style. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

My ABS hydraulic control unit pump motor is not working properly. This has been affecting me since Oct 2024 when we were pulling our 5th wheel and losing braking and power. I learned later that It is part of a NHTSA Recall 24V-896000. Code C4B I was told by the Dodge dealer Jack Powell in [XXX] that I was on waitlist when I reported it to them 12/19/2024. During the next several months I alw
... ays got the same answer so then filed a case on 7/7/2025 with the FCA. Case #XXX. During many calls after, and including the last call on 3/27/26 that the part was not available, that this was a National backorder with no ETA. I filed another case on 8/17/25 for a rental vehicle - case #XXX. After several calls I got that approved. The Dodge dealer diagnosed my truck with that active code in place. Also to be clear, the dealer has confirmed failure of the ABS system, which disables safety features Due to this defect, the truck can lose ABS braking, tractional control and electronic stability control. The dash warning lights come on all the time, with the sound too. Although I was approved for a rental vehicle, that is for $60 per day and only for a non-tow vehicle. The problem is that this vehicle is primarily used for towing. I have a 5th wheel hitch and use it for towing our 5th wheel trailer, that we purchase early 2024. We tow our boat as well. The bigger problem is that I am near retirement and we are not able to use our 5th wheel for the trips to prepare for that and the plan to travel once I retire later this year. I need to have a functionally comparable vehicle that is equipped for 5th wheel towing as a rental or reimbursement. I would also like a review for alternative remedies due to the unreasonable delay in completing the safety recall. My hard brake lines were corroded and had to be replaced on a 7 year old model 3 with 70k miles on it. The cost was over $4000 as battery has to come out and it's very labor intensive. The defect results in the switch overheating and burning out, evidenced by visible charring and sooty residue inside the switch housing. Upon failure, the brake
... lights may not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed, removing a critical safety signal for following drivers. Nissan has acknowledged this defect and issued Technical Service Bulletin NTB22-084. However, owners whose vehicles have exceeded the 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty threshold are required to bear the full cost of repair out of pocket, despite the defect being a known manufacturing issue. Safety Hazard: Failure of the brake stop lamp switch renders the vehicle's rear brake lights inoperative. This creates a significant safety risk to the vehicle's occupants, following drivers, and the general public — particularly under low-visibility conditions such as nighttime driving, inclement weather, or high-traffic situations. In my personal incident, switch failure occurred without prior warning while traveling at approximately 50 mph on a state highway. A warning light did illuminate, but only after the switch had already failed. At that speed and location, safely moving off the roadway was not immediately possible, placing myself and other motorists in a hazardous situation.Read more

I went back to the dealer and this time they told me all 4 rotors are warped. GM denied coverage of the pads and rotors. Normal driv
