Since I purchase my vehicle I have had to continuously replace my tires on the front. Going through my carfax acct I came across some recalls that showed up that I had no idea of the car may had which was prior to purchase from the dealers. I would think that these issues were fixed prior to reselling. I recently had to pull over on the freeway due to the tire making noises then realized that the
... tire wear was uneven again but this time shredded apart. I could feel metal poking out which the tires hadn’t been on for long. The loss pressure warning light went off. I later found the missing tire that has came off wrapped around the rotor which the tire shop near me hadn’t seen while replacing with new tires again. The wear on the brake pads were off as well as the rotors which I also ended up having to replace just recently. I’ve made an appointment with a dealer which is out of my way to hopefully have this resolved but needed to make a report of this safety issue.Read more

I am reporting a possible safety defect in my 2024 Toyota Sienna Hybrid AWD, VIN [XXX] . The vehicle intermittently surges, lurches, or creeps forward while I am pressing the brake pedal and attempting to slow or stop. It feels as though the vehicle briefly adds power or braking force momentarily decreases even though my foot remains on the brake. The sensation is not normal creep alone; it feels
... like a brief unintended forward push while braking. The problem is intermittent, which makes it difficult to predict, but it creates a safety concern because it can happen when slowing, stopping, or maneuvering at low speed. I am concerned this could increase stopping distance or cause the vehicle to move forward unexpectedly. I am requesting investigation of possible defects involving the braking system, hybrid regenerative braking transition, brake actuator, pedal sensing, or related control software. It happens daily. About two weeks ago my truck popped up a message asking if I had installed new brake pads. When I selected no, on my Home Screen, where I can see the systems of my truck the front bake wear indicator no longer showed a percentage. When I inspected my brake pads the front outer pads still had a good amount of pad left, but when I checked the inner pads they had been severely worn down compared to t
... he outers. On 4/1 I brought my truck to a Chevy dealership to have them diagnose why there is such uneven brake pad wear. After they inspected the brakes the dealership then told me that due to the brake pad clips being installed improperly my pads were wearing out unevenly. The dealership also showed me a service bulletin (25-NA-365) that GM had put out for trucks in the 2023-2026 models that stated due to a factory installation defect on the clip that holds the brake pads in place it is causing uneven wear on the brake pads. I told the dealership that the clip causing uneven wear on the brake pads could become a safety concern if owners don’t know about this because the braking effectiveness of the truck is wearing out faster than what the owner is told by the sensor. I told them in extreme cases that if the pad completely wears out then the rotor could be damaged and cause a very significant impact to the safety of the vehicle because the braking system will be severely degraded. I was told that since it is just a service bulletin the dealership and GM do not have to cover the repairs of the brake pads because a service bulletin is not the same as a recall and that brake pad wear is a normal maintenance item. My concern is that trucks with similar mileages as mine of 20000 miles are wearing their brake pads out at an alarming rate and the dealership and GM are not taking the responsibility to ensure that the issue is resolved and new pads are replaced to ensure proper braking effectiveness on the roads.Read more

Asymmetrical wear on the front brakes. The outer pad wears out completely while the inner pad( with the brake wear sensor) shows almost no wear. The dealer (Park Place Acura, Plano Texas) brought this to my attention on November 3, 2025 saying only the front pads needed replacing but did not disclose the asymmetrical wear. I took the vehicle back to the Dealer January 15, 2026 for repair after dis
... covering the asymmetrical pad wear and pointed that out to them. The brakes can completely wear to the backing plate on the outer pad while showing no wear issues with the brake sensor on the inner pad. This condition creates an unpredictable and uneven braking response that constitutes a safety defect, as the brake wear indicator system fails to alert the driver to actual brake wear on the outer pad. The brake wear sensor is designed assuming symmetrical pad wear. When wear is asymmetrical, the sensor fails to trigger a warning, leaving the driver unaware of a dangerous condition. The dealer has finally replaced the pads and rotors, symptoms of the problem but, has not addressed the underlying cause of the problem...the calipers. I have received the vehicle back from the dealer but did not sign a release and the issue remains open. The vehicle currently has approximately 29,400 miles. I have taken this issue to Acura corporate(Honda Motor Company) and they have it under review but keep delaying with no confirmed resolution. Vehicle: 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Issue Type: Electrical System / Loss of Power / Braking System While operating my 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L on Interstate 40 at approximately 70 miles per hour, with two minor children in the vehicle, the vehicle suddenly and without any prior warning began to rapidly decelerate, despite continued pressure on the accelerator pedal. At the time the decelerati
... on began, there were no warning lights, alerts, or indications of any malfunction. The vehicle exhibited a significant loss of power, and it felt as though it was being mechanically restricted or “dragging,” severely limiting its ability to maintain highway speed. Only after the vehicle had already begun to decelerate did a brake system warning indicator appear on the dashboard. This sequence of events indicates that the warning system did not provide advance notice of the failure. This sudden and uncommanded deceleration created an immediate and serious safety hazard, particularly given the vehicle’s speed and surrounding interstate traffic. The inability of the vehicle to respond appropriately to acceleration input placed occupants at risk of a rear-end collision or other serious traffic incident. Although the warning indicator later turned off, the vehicle continued to operate abnormally, with ongoing reduced acceleration and diminished responsiveness. This incident occurred without prior warning, and the delayed activation of the brake warning indicator raises serious concerns regarding a potential defect involving the vehicle’s electrical, braking, and/or powertrain control systems, including possible failure of system monitoring or alert mechanisms. Given the circumstances including highway speed, sudden loss of propulsion, delayed warning notification, and the presence of child passengers. I respectfully request that this issue be formally investigated as a safety-related defect.Read more

As I neared home warning returned. Once home I
... checked the reservoir and it was empty. Put the other 16 ounces in and checked for leaked under the truck. Found no leaked. Did some research and saw there was a recall for the brakes. • The Defect: The master cylinder's piston cup seals can fail, causing brake fluid to leak into the brake booster, reducing hydraulic pressure, I tried to move my truck but when I pressed on the brakes the pedal went all the way to the floor. Was able to put in neutral and stop the truck safely. I had the truck towed to Honolulu Ford. Was informed my truck was not included in the recall. They replaced the brake master cylinder, brake booster, and vacuum tube. At a cost of $2490.85. I believe Ford should have fixed this at no cost because the exact issue has been addressed on 2 previous recalls . Kearny Mesa Chevy repaired this in 2021; Walt's Danville Service in 2026. No safety issue, but could have been a problem in event of brake failure an need to stop vehicle by applying parking brake that would not hold. I asked KMChevy if this should be a warranty repair or a recall issue and they refused to consider in 2021. I am reporting a serious and ongoing safety issue with my Ram 1500. The vehicle has experienced multiple incidents of complete power loss while driving, including at highway speeds. During these events, the vehicle abruptly shuts down without warning. The dashboard lights illuminate (including the battery and check engine lights), followed by total electrical failure. The engine turns off, the rad
... io and displays go dark, and I lose power steering and braking assist, then the emergency brake engages, making the vehicle extremely difficult to control. These incidents have occurred more than once and are unpredictable. In at least one instance, I was forced to pull over on the highway after the vehicle lost all power while in motion. The loss of steering and braking assistance created a dangerous situation, especially as I have had my children in the vehicle. After one incident, the vehicle was jump-started and the battery was replaced; however, the issue recurred. A mechanic previously reported that no diagnostic codes were found and no problem could be identified, despite the severity of the failure. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for further evaluation. This issue appears consistent with other reports of Ram 1500 vehicles experiencing sudden loss of motive power and electrical failure. The intermittent nature of the defect and lack of diagnostic codes make it difficult to detect, increasing the safety risk. I do not feel safe operating this vehicle, as it can shut down without warning while driving. My SUV pulls hard to the right when braking at speeds above 50 mph and much more on the interstates at 65 mph and above. I first experienced this after three weeks of ownership on a drive up I-95 on a trip to NC. It has happened numerous times while traveling on the interstates and has almost caused loss of control when having to brake hard when cut off by another driver or traffic suddenly coming
... to a stop. The vehicle has been to the service department numerous times....at first they suspected a braking issue and have had both calipers replaced, all brake lines replaced, lower control arms replaced and the right side strut replaced. None of these repairs have solved the problem. The factory service rep who took over the situation tested 3 other GMC 2025 Terrain suvs and all had the same problem. He reported the issue on a safety report to GM in Michigan and the response from GM was that it is a normal condition for the Terrain models. I have never owned, driven, or ridden in another vehicle in over 50 years of driving which performed like this, this is not a normal condition in my opinion.Read more

Main Claim **Subject: Vehicle Malfunction Incident Report / Claim** I am writing to report a serious and unexpected issue with my vehicle that occurred on Sunday, March 29, 2026. I purchased this car in mid-December 2025, and it is still relatively new. For context, the vehicle’s brake hold function was turned on, and everything appeared to be operating normally before the incident. On the day o
... f the incident, I was parking at a café and had my foot firmly on the brake while the vehicle was in Drive. As I was preparing to shift the gear into Park (without having actually moved the gear yet), the vehicle suddenly behaved as if it had shifted into Reverse, despite the gear still being in Drive. The rearview camera activated, and the car began rolling backward. This occurred while I was still pressing the brake, which should have prevented any movement. In response to this dangerous situation, I attempted to lift my foot off the brake and press it again, but the brakes did not respond. I also tried shifting between Reverse and Drive in an attempt to regain control and restore normal braking function, but this did not resolve the issue. As the vehicle continued to slowly roll backward, I was ultimately forced to shift the gear into Park while the car was still in motion and turn off the engine to stop the vehicle. This action successfully stopped the car. After restarting the vehicle, I was able to park safely without further issue. This was a highly dangerous malfunction that could have easily resulted in a serious accident. Additionally, there were two passengers in the vehicle at the time—one in the front passenger seat and one in the rear—both of whom are licensed drivers and can confirm that the vehicle began reversing while still in Drive and that the brakes were not functioning as expected. I am submitting this report to formally document the incident and request a thorough inspection and resolution of the issue. Please advise on the next steps for investigation,Read more

My 2025 Audi RS3 unexpectedly shifts into park and engages the electronic parking brake while the vehicle is in motion at low speeds. This issue has occurred multiple times, has been documented on at least nine occasions, and has undergone four (4) separate service attempts within the first 900 miles. The issue remains unresolved. On multiple occasions, the vehicle became immobilized in active t
... raffic. In one incident, the vehicle shifted into park while making a left-hand turn across a busy intersection, leaving the vehicle stopped in the roadway with oncoming traffic approaching at high speeds. The vehicle would not move and required the driver to exit and perform a full restart before normal operation resumed. In another incident, the vehicle again shifted into park while exiting a parking lot and entering traffic, leaving the vehicle partially in the roadway and creating a hazardous condition for the driver and oncoming traffic. A fault related to the electronic parking brake system was identified and a component was replaced; however, the issue persisted after repair. The dealership has confirmed that the issue can be reproduced but stated that the vehicle is operating as designed. The explanation provided was that shifting body weight while seated and properly restrained may cause the system to behave as if no driver is present. The dealership also indicated that similar behavior could be reproduced on other vehicles during testing in a parking lot environment, rather than under normal driving conditions. Despite this explanation, the behavior results in an unexpected loss of vehicle mobility in traffic, which presents a serious safety risk. There were no consistent warning indicators prior to the events. The vehicle remains available for inspection.Read more

I address this issue to the dealership in the past and brought it in for a repair. They said they found No problem with the vehicle. I was never given paperwork for that repair like I usually receive when I check the vehicle for other issues. Most of my complaints were verbally on the phone. I gave up pressing the issue due to multiple reasons which included financial issues. This year I informed NJ Consumer Affairs and the dealership to help me with the ongoing issue.Read more
