EPB and auto hold lights come on intermittently with no user input or obvious reason. This does not occur every time that the vehicle is driven and does not have an obvious cause nor pattern. When issue appears, it may sometimes but not always be resolved by parking, then restarting the vehicle. After the issue begins, there is an audible beep and an alert/warning flashes for less than a second wi

This appears to be the same issue as NHTSA ID 11617668 Per my own research, other owners of this vehicle have had the same issue, as noted in this forum thread: [XXX] Additionally, the solution according to other owners of this vehicle is listed in Hyundai's TSB 23-BR-001H (listed in NHTSA ID 10235346 from April 7 2023 as MC-10235346-0001), which is listed at [XXX] . This TSB's document does include the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid, though the NHTSA listing erroneously lists only the 2019-2021 models as being affected. Hello, I am writing to bring attention to a vital public safety issue regarding the Lexus recall policy eligibility of 21LE01, concerning brake system issues. The current policy deems vehicles eligible for recall based on a set criterion: the vehicle must be under 10 years of age or under 150,000 miles, whichever comes first. The term “whichever comes first” disregards the importance of “m
... ileage” as the main indicator of wear and tear, especially for brake system issues which are largely and directly related to it. My vehicle, a Lexus CT200h, 11 years old with 100,000 miles (upon receipt of the recall notice) was confirmed to have the exact brake issues as described in 21LE01. However when I sought remedy and support, I was told that despite being well under the mileage limitation, my vehicle was ineligible for the recall due to its age. For recalls that pertain directly to the safety of the vehicle's occupants and the general public – such as brake system malfunctions – more lenient eligibility criteria should be adopted to ensure no vehicle with potential defects is left untreated. A more flexible approach that considers both age and mileage individually would be much more suitable for the break issues that 21LE01was set to address. A brake system malfunction is a grave risk to the safety of the vehicle's occupants and others on the road. Such recalls should prioritize safety over arbitrary constraints. The safety of drivers, passengers, and the broader public should always be the top priority. No vehicle owner should be left at risk due to arbitrary limitations. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I hope you can help push Lexus to make necessary amendments to the recall policy terms. Thank you!Read more

In October of 2023, I was driving my 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid to the laundry mat about a quarter of a mile from my home. The brakes completely stopped working, the pedal was to the floor and the accelerator was stalling. After managing to get
... the vehicle back to my home, naturally I went to the Dealership (Langdale Hyundai of Valdosta) and informed them of the issue. They informed me there was no issue, charged me for a diagnostic and sent me on my way. Once I provided proof of my car stopping mid-drive, they began to check wiring and such. What they told me the issue was is a Hydraulic Power Unit. I had it replaced, still the same issue "CHECK BRAKES". I only have 116k miles on this car, bought it with 72K in 2021, so I haven't driven it much. It spent 8 months in Hyundai Dealership in Holiday, FL for a brand-new Hybrid Battery in 2022. I have been looking online for anyone that knows more about this issue so I can get it resolved. It turns out there are thousands of people who are just like me. I believe this is indeed a recall issue. I believe this is an issue is an emergency issue, brakes giving out while driving is an issue that needs to be addressed. This has been happening for years, and Hyundai has not done one thing on it. It's happening with newer vehicles as well as older. Langdale Hyundai of Valdosta was not much of a help at all, to be honest, I don't trust their workers at all. I believe they do nothing and charge customers for the max that they can.Read more

Here is my draft: Vehicle Information: • Make: Tesla • Model: Model Y • Year: 2024 Description of the Problem: After a software update pushed by Tesla, the AP4 computer in my 2024 Tesla Model Y shorted out, causing a complete failure of all systems controlled by this computer. The following safety-critical and driver-assist features have become non-functional: 1.Cruise Control (ada
... ptive or otherwise) 2.Forward Collision Warning 3.Lane Departure Warning 4.Lane Keeping Assistance 5.Blind Spot Warning 6.Parking Collision Warning 7.Full Self-Driving and Auto Park features 8.Cameras required for Autopilot functionality Additionally, because the GPS system has failed, the vehicle’s Navigation system is inoperable. This impacts Tesla’s unique route planning feature that sets up Supercharger stops during long journeys. Without a functioning navigation system, I cannot properly plan my travel or locate charging stations, which severely affects the usability of the vehicle. Safety Concerns: The failure of these systems, especially safety features like forward collision warning, lane keeping assistance, and blind spot monitoring, puts both the driver and others on the road at risk. Losing access to safety-critical functions after an update is unacceptable and poses a serious danger to vehicle occupants and surrounding traffic. Incident Details: • The issue occurred immediately following a software update. • Tesla pushed the update remotely without providing any warning or indication of potential risks. • The failure appears to be related to a hardware short in the AP4 computer, directly caused or exacerbated by the update. Desired Outcome: • A thorough investigation into Tesla’s software update process and its effect on vehicle hardware and safety systems. • A resolution that prevents similar failures in other vehicles and ensures system updates do not compromise vehicle safety or critical functionality.Read more
