On January 26, 2024, at AutoNation, I was requested to bring my 2010 Hyundai Tucson in to replace a part involving my ‘brakes.’ I’m the original owner, since 2021 my brakes would grind at least twice weekly and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to stop! Then, the AntiLock Brake System lights would just pop up out of nowhere and come on, then my brakes would work. So, I was told I needed a
... new switch. AutoNation never let me explain any of this, they cut me off anytime I tried to explain it. So, last January 2024, the switch was fixed. I’d prefer NOT to go back there again!! It hasn’t been inspected by anyone. NHTSA may inspect it as soon as you would like. Except now, my ABS lights are basically stuck on. This started back again June 2024. No grinding of my brakes now, I just want them fixed properly.Read more

ABS module failed 2 years ago. No traction control, no cruise control, no stability management. This part has been on backorder for 2 years and affects many years. Issue started intermittently about 3 years ago while driving, now the vehicle is extremely unstable in wet conditions. Dealership has diagnosed and said to check back every few months for a solution. Additionally the plastic oil filter

There has been multiple recalls on this vehicle. I have not received any recall updates. Software updates were to be sent out to fix the braking situation. I continue to be on 2.0 for the last year, and I have had issues with my braking since buying the vehicle over a year ago. I have a braking warning lamp upon starting the car.

My truck has internal ABS failure. 2015 Ram 1500. With the malfunction I lose power brakes, cruise control, traction control and all other ABS functions. There is a recall for other year trucks but not 2015 and they have the same exact issue. All of those lights light up on the dash upon start up.

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000.I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process is a disaster! The first update attempt was incomplete with only 1/3 of the up
... date installing. This caused issues and all subsequent OTA attempts failed, causing me not to be able to drive it for days and weeks at a time for fear of my safety and that of others. Ultimately, this resulted in me paying for a tech to fly to TN to finish the update in person, and complete the water pump recall. Since I was left in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of my vehicle I became forced to pay roughly $1,000 out of pocket for a mandatory free recall. I have yet to be reimburse for any of this cost, and frankly this should not have happened if the OTA process worked AND there were more techs available in the US to help people. I supposedly now have all of the updates for the car and the water pump replaced and this was all supposed to be free. This is on top of the NEW 12V battery I had to buy (another near $300) in order to allow updates to be installed because of the unsafe update process. Lastly, I am deeply concerned about the limited number of service personnel available in the U.S., with only around 20 individuals servicing the entire country and merely 5 traveling nationwide to assist customers with undriveable vehicles. This scarcity is unacceptable and leads to extended wait times for necessary repairs and updates. I urge you to address these pressing issues with the OTA update process promptly. I believe that a more efficient system should be considered. Thank you for taking the time to consider my concerns.Read more

I am $851 out of pocket for repairs to address NHTSA mandated recalls. Software updates have not fully addressed all issues, notably excessive and distracting repeating audible and visual driver alerts related to ADAS failures, especially when raining, dark, or driving into direct sunlight. There is an "OTA" team who are responsible for delivering software updates over the air. They are opaque, uncontactable, and appear to operate beholden to no-one. They have failed to establish a method for providing the NHTSA mandated software updates. The Fisker Owner's Association has attempted to fill the administrative delinquency but they are also not getting support. My complaint is based on the requirement that the manufacturer ensures I am not out of pocket for the cost of the remediation work to address the recalls and they have failed to provide a way for me to do this. As a result I have paid out of pocket to have them addressed. Attached is the invoice from a local garage for software updates ($495 labor) and water pump replacement ($325 labor + $31 parts).Read more

Incident date: Feb 13, 2025
Hi, I don't have a functioning car. It is bricked due to an update from 2.0 to 2.1 (en route to 2.2). I've experienced all the normal stuff like my Brakes wouldn't work as expected and the ADAS Warning Beeps were going nuts... But currently, there was a forced, OTA Update that I did not consent to and now the car does not move (or turn on). I'm concerned about the ongoing issues that are bei
... ng seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The experience I had with my Fisker durning a 2.1 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle undrivable. This is leaving me in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. As a result, I had to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is far from the experience that I expected when signing up for a free mandated safety recall. Moreover, I've noticed a concerning trend regarding the frequency of issues reported by fellow owners after OTA updates. It appears that a significant percentage of vehicles—approximately 2% to 5%—experience similar problems, rendering them undrivable during the 48-hour update window. This situation not only disrupts our daily lives but also raises serious concerns about the reliability of the software updates. I am particularly troubled by the statistics indicating that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated successfully after several weeks of attempts. With such a limited number of service personnel available nationwide, it is alarming that many owners like myself are left without adequate support during these challenging times. I urge you to address these issues promptly, putting more vehicles in danger of becoming undrivable because of the safety recall process being flawed may not be helpful in this current process. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer in resolving my current situation and compensating for the expenses incurred due to this inconvenience. Thank you :)Read more

On 2/14/2025 I brought my 2013 prius into a third party mechanic because all the brake warning lights came on while driving. After inspection the mechanic informed me that there was a vehicle service bulletin about the brake booster and brake booster system that Toyota sent out in September 2020. It states that models made between 2012-2014 may exhibit a condition where the brake ABS and/or on tr
... ack lights are on and it is caused by a small internal brake fluid leak inside the brake booster assembly with master cylinder. Toyota placed an extended warranty on the part. They state that if the vehicle had the abs light come on for this reason they would fix it if and only if it fell within 150,000 miles or ten years from the first driven part. I have been told if the issue is not addressed it could caused brake failure, the repair is upwards of $3000. I have contacted Toyota to open a case and will be taking the car to a Toyota dealership but Toyota is not taking any responsibility for the faulty part even when they know it is an issue because they say it fell outside of the extended warranty. I need Toyota to be held accountable and for not addressing a known issue with the their product. This is not an issue with wear and tear, it caused by a faulty part on their part and just because the issue became apparent after their cut off does not mean they are not liable. The car has 125,000 miles on it, I was never made aware that there was an issue with the part, received no communication until I brought it into a mechanic who researched it.Read more

Fisker attempted to install a software update (Software OS 2.2) to my vehicle over the air which was intended to address recall number 24V623000. This attempted software update caused the vehicle's 12 Volt battery to drain, resulting in the car activating its low battery audible alarm and damaging the battery requiring me to pay for a new battery and its installation. The software was not successf

Also, several of the car's Advanced Driver Assistance System functions remain inoperative, specifically the collision avoidance systems and pedestrian warning systems, raising serious safety issues for the car. The recall 24V623000 remains unaddressed for my vehicle. Recall 24V466000 requires Fisker to test door handles and replace them if faulty. This recall service has not been performed on my car. Back in June2024 my vehicle was bricked, supposedly by a failed OTA 2.1 update. The PKC ended up needing replaced. By the time I received my car in OCT
... 2024, I was told it had been updated to 2.2 from 2.0 and that there had been checks performed for some recalls. Other expenses related to this adventure include buying a new car, rental car, extra key fob (that ended up not being the problem) and a 200 mile tow. This facility is not a recommended service provider now, and I would not go back personally. Oh course shortly after getting my car back, a technician was coming through our area to help a bricked owner. I figured I would just have a bit or preventative work done, and help the other owners split the costs. Well, upon inspection by the technician the car was not updated to 2.2 at all, only the ECUs visible to me or apps had been updated. My car was still mostly on 2.0 software modules. I ended up paying for the 2.2 update by the experienced technician. As the reimbursement rates for the recalls have just been released, and I have seen the costs of splitting travel AND towing/service center charges, I know that none of the rates will cover any of the services that remain for my vehicle. They will not even cover the travel, let alone the work, even when splitting w/ others. The 2.2 OTA updates are supposed to be free of charge, but require the car to be left untouched for 2 days, have a horrible success rates, have bricked vehicles every single week, and limited information on the process and answer to questions from anyone. Since my car was already bricked once from an OTA, and the risk of needing a tech anyway, I felt I had no choice but to take advantage of the techs experience and get the OTA in person at cost.Read more

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Incomplete OTA install software 2.0 to 2.2 2/3. Should be 2.2 3/3
Incident date: Feb 13, 2025
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver,
... I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. Furthermore, the fact that there are only approximately 20 service personnel available nationwide, with a mere five traveling to assist customers whose cars are rendered undrivable, is simply unacceptable. This lack of support exacerbates an already troubling situation. Given these circumstances, I urge you to address theseRead more

Lack of Access to Recall Service I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. My vehicle's braking system, particularly as it relates to its performance over rough terrain, has not yet been addressed even though we have attempted updates. I have experienced significant brake slippage and a
... loss of function, which poses a serious safety risk. As a responsible vehicle owner, I trust that my car should provide a reliable and safe driving experience, especially when navigating challenging conditions. The frequency of reports from fellow owners about their vehicles becoming undrivable after updates—between 2% and 5%—is alarming and prevents me from attempting the recall process again. Knowing that the update process can leave a car unusable for up to 48 hours, and that partial updates might require even more time, adds to my frustration. The statistics shared indicate that only a mere 10% of the fleet has successfully received updates after weeks of attempts, which further highlights the inadequacy of the OTA process. Additionally, I am troubled by the limited availability of service personnel across the country. With only around 20 technicians available nationwide and just a handful traveling to address urgent issues, it is clear that many customers, including myself, may find ourselves in perilous situations without timely support. I cannot afford to wait months for a resolution while I am forced to pay out of pocket for alternative solutions to ensure my vehicle is safe to drive. This situation is unacceptable, and I urge you to take immediate action to address these critical issues. I look forward to a prompt response. Additionally I had to paid for install of recalled water pump as well as purchasing and install of defective door handle light covers. The NFC reader to open the car door is also defective creating a safety hazard.Read more

The vehicle has a fault in the ABS system that is causing the ABS light to stay on, as well as the traction control light and the Brake light. This means the brakes will lock up, causing the vehicle to slide, the vehicle has no assisted traction control, and the cruise control will not engage. In a vehicle like this (a pick-up truck) the back end is notoriously light and will easily loose traction
... during emergency braking and without traction control, can easily lose control on wet roads. The part needed to repair this issue, the ABS Module, is unavailable anywhere...and has been for years now. Some can still be found in old junk vehicles, or for sale out of used vehicles, but these have no guarantee and are no safer or less susceptible to failure than the stock product. No to mention they can only be found at exorbitant prices since they are in such high demand on an obviously sub-par part. Why does this part have so many issues and why is it impossible to fix? The vehicle is unsafe without this fix! The tires absolutely slide on wet roads now with loss of steering control and the rear end easily breaks free of traction on wet roads! The vehicle also will not pass inspection anymore because of this issue. This has been a problem for a year at this point.,Read more

I have been the only owner of this truck since it was new from the factory. Some time in the first part of 2022 the ABS module light on the dash was coming on and then going off. When I needed an oil change I took the truck to the dealer I always go to and informed the service writer about it. They said they couldn't check it out for the module until it completely goes out. So, on 5/22/23 I took t
... he truck to the dealer cause the ABS module went out along with my trailer brake control and traction control. The service writer called the parts depart. to see if the module was in house and parts said they would have to order it. Service writer said I could drive the truck and I told them that the brakes are not the same as when the module was working. I told them that you have to push harder on the pedal and that the brakes are not stopping as quickly. He said it would be alright. Every time I take the truck in for an oil change I ask them about the module and call them quite often and the service writer's tell me the same about the module. Parts can not get a module from the manufacturer and don't know when they will get one but, the part is on order. The service writer did give me a phone number to the manufacturer linking me to a help department to see if they can inquire or know why the company is not making them. On 1/23/25 I did call the manufacturer and talk to one of the personal there. The person did not have any information on the module and they said they couldn't tell me why there are no ABS MODULES and that I should keep calling the parts department at my local dealer. So, I guess I don't know when the brakes will completely go out while I am driving it or my family is in it with me that may cause a wreck. I can't pull my camper and haven't for two years now. I don't know what will happen on a rain slick road or an ice and snow covered road. I can't sell the truck or trade it in to get a proper vehicle. Please help Thank YouRead more

Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremly unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. Of the cars that were updated, mine, almost immediately the estimated range has been reduced
... drastically. The car was marketed as 360 miles range on 100% charge and now after the update I barely see 190-200 at 100% charge. This occured since the recall update. thats like 40-45% reduction in range costing everyone double the electricity needed to charge the vehicle and everyone I know that got the 2.2 update has been going through this issue. After running a diagnostic with a fisker tech, they mentioned it's a 2.2 update issue and no fix out there yet. However the trustee is responsible to roll this same update to other cars as well that hasn't received it. The tech explained this is occuring due to the rear motor is now throwing "flux error codes" and not functioning properly past 2.2 update which is causing the insane battery drain. In my opinion this is something that needs to be addressed. NHTSA recall campaign numbers for the software recalls are 24V865000 and 24V623000Read more
