Trailer is equipped with the Lippert ABS brake system. During final review of issues covered by warranty at the Dealer (General RV in Birch Run MI) the dealer recommended a wheel bearing re grease which I agreed to. During this procedure the left rear brakes were noted as totally worn out and the brake drum had a significant crack due to excessive heat from the dragging brake. This trailer has ap

The brake system failed in a parking lot three times within a month. It’s related to the special policy and recall regarding the vacuum and the loss of brakes at slower speeds and in reverse. The first two accidents were very minor creating no damage. The third one was at 10mph when I lost my brakes and crashed into a concrete barrier in a parking structure causing significant damage to my truck
... . I did not get injured but I have a wife and two kids that I am so grateful were not in the truck for the third one with major damage. With that being said my son was in the truck the second time it happened when I crashed into a parked vehicle in a parking lot because I was unable to stop which made me very frustrated and worried for my families safety in my truck. The first accident was in a parking lot where I was backing up and lost the brakes and crashed into a building which is my veterinary office causing damage to the building. Therefore after the first crash due to this issue I have decided that driving with my family in the truck is not an option anymore. It is very disappointing that a truck I purchased for the functionality and safety of having my wife and kids in it is no longer safe for passengers or myself in it. This problem is very reproducible and is a major concern for my family and my safety. It was towed to a GMC dealership in Waukesha and is being inspected and they have stated it is reproducible. No warning lamps or messages were indicated for this issue. The truck will next need to get towed to Crash Champions auto body repair to ultimately get repaired which will take another month. All of this is a major inconvenience as I am a full time firefighter and in paramedic school as well. Not having a reliable safe vehicle for an extended period of time has caused great stress and inconvenience to my family. I’m hoping and praying that something can be done about this quickly and promptly to make this right. Thank you.Read more

2024 Escalade ESV sport 4WD was not included in eBCM recall issued in September 2024. Recall 24V-674 My vehicle was manufactured between August 2022 and July 2024. It was ordered and purchased in March 2024. The manufacturer failed to notify me by mail. upon checking recalls on NHTSA and Cadillac’s recall websites, it appears General Motors failed to include my car in the recall altogether.
... Evidently, on 10/15/2024, my car wasn’t braking properly, the dashboard lights for ABS, Brake, engine, and traction control were on, and the 6 months old car had to be towed as it wasn’t drivable due to failure to brake. The dealership informed me the eBCM was the issue and required repairs. It is very concerning my car wasn’t included in this safety recall. I drive my 3 young children daily and I would’ve never driven the car had I known a recall was issued a month prior. For separate reasons, I am currently in a legal dispute with General Motors and the dealership. It took me a lot of research to realize exactly what happened to my car on 10/15/2024. I hope the NHTSA addresses this serious concern promptly.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am filing an urgent safety complaint regarding my Fisker Ocean One Launch Edition SUV, which continues to experience braking failures despite the latest software recall update (2.2.2). No Service Options Available: Fisker’s shutdown means there is no way to have the vehicle inspected or repaired, posing a significant safety risk to both drivers and pedestrians. Request for Investigation: I urge NHTSA to reopen or expand the recall and investigate whether Fisker vehicles pose an ongoing safety hazard that should trigger additional consumer protections. This is a critical issue that has now occurred on multiple occasions that requires immediate attention, as these vehicles remain on the road without proper testing or repair availability. This is a major safety issue and will cause an accident if it isn’t resolved. My only option at this point is to purchase an aftermarket brake controller as my factory brake controller is unsafe. I have multiple videos of this issue and nearly had the trailer push me over my mountain from the issue. This issue has happened since I purchased the vehicle and continues to happen. However, now the same dealership refuses to take the vehicle back because they couldn’t figure out what the issue was and now the second dealership is trying to push back and even accepting my money to take a look at the vehicle.
