On 3/25/2025, at 2:45 PM, my car stopped itself completely while driving at 35 mph on Transit Rd. near Sheridan Dr., under clear, dry conditions. No obstacles, no brake input—items on passenger seat flew off, my head jerked forward. 2014 Ford Fiesta manual sedan exhibiting recurring, dangerous hood latch malfunction (recently noticed) where hood unlatches while driving/parked & experiencing sudden power loss when AC is used (fuse removed to prevent this dangerous condition). Potential safety hazards: obstructed vision, hood detachment, engine tampering, sudden loss of control. Ford Service Advisor admitted hood latch "should
... " be a recall, yet dealership attempts to charge $350-$500 ($250 diagnostic) for repair instead of initiating recall. This raises concerns Ford prioritizes profit over safety, esp. since Fiesta is discontinued. Other issues include previous brake pad lock-up requiring costly ABS Hydraulic Control Unit repair & door latch recall 20S15 ("door may unlatch while driving"). Multiple recurring issues suggest vehicle may be a lemon overall. Request immediate NHTSA investigation into hood latch defect & electrical/AC power loss issue. Urge recall consideration. I will gladly allow my vehicle to be studied in a NHTSA lab to aid investigation. Concern heightened by Ford's discontinuation of model.Read more

We then had to wait on the side of the rode for 5 hours waiting for a tow truck to pull the truck. I got the truck towed to a ford service center because the truck still had new vehicle manufacturer warranty with Ford. The truck was given full warranty and Ford covered the damages and fixed the vehicle giving it the green light in there service report. I then waited until March 4th 2025 to receive my truck back. On [XXX] I was driving North on [XXX] at approximately 70 MPH when my 2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range brakes violently applied by them self twice in the space of a few seconds, the sudden unexpected brake application was a shock to me causing me almost lose control of the vehicle and was almost rear ended by a truck that was a few car lengths behind me. My car was in manual mode with the "Emergency
... Braking" switch enabled (no self drive or cruise control), the weather was sunny and dry and there were no traffic or obstacles in front of my car. The onboard dash cam briefly captured the incident. The problem did not reoccur for the remainder of my drive home. There was no warning prior to the incident, I believe that emergency brakes may have flashed on the screen ( not sure because I was busy reacting to the situation). The car has not been inspected as of yet. I now have to disable the Emergency Braking function each time I drive my car because unfortunately the system defaults to the on position and I don't trust it. This issue appears to be a problem with the system that provides visual information to the Emergency Braking System. I'm making this report because this is an extremely dangerous problem that needs to be addressed by Tesla before it causes injury or worse. Initially short stopping on it's own when gas peddle not pressed- had the setting fixed for that to then experience multiple whiplashes for no reason while driving. Attempted to connect the starlink on multiple occasions as well to no success and just a bunch of wasted time trying. In addition to all the alarming safety concerns, this car would not heat up well- 40 minutes into my ride I'd start to feel some warmth. I would love to have this case investigated further and sue honda for allowing such a dangerous vehicle on the roads. In December of 2024, my jeep felt like a ghost was pressing my brakes. It got worse over time despite any troubleshooting we did and replacing sensors did not work. We sought a company to try to rebuild the old one and they can't either since the replacement chips are back ordered as well. Luckily I noticed the issue while driving slow on a dirt road, however, this issue could have pulled the vehicle into oncoming traffic or off the side of the road. 3-25-25 I got into my car at approximately 7:20 am with my children to take them to school and as soon as I drove out of my driveway I noticed a warning light flashing on my dashboard. I drove for maybe a mile before pulling over to turn my car off and back on to see if it would go away. I also called my husband to inform him and he looked it up to see what the light was. He said it was the automa

I turned the car back on and started to drive again but the warning light came back on, at this time I was crossing a railroad track, and my car stopped accelerating. The engine would rev up but not accelerate. I immediately looked down to see if I was in Drive and it was. At that moment a train was approaching and the train whistle was blowing and so I quickly tried to put the car in park and turn it off and back on and at that time I was able to drive my car across the tracks out of harms way thankfully. It was terrifying knowing a train was that close and my kids and I were stuck in a brand new vehicle that would not drive across the tracks. On October 16, 2022, I purchased a 2016 Ford Escape from the Stowasser Buick GMC car lot. I have had numerous problems with this vehicle since the beginning. On November 1, 2022, I took my car to their service department because it was running poorly. The mechanics worked on my vehicle and returned it to me. However, on January 8, 2023, I had to take my vehicle back to Stowasser shop because it wa
... s again running poorly. This time, they had to install a new motor. At that time, my mileage was 49,000, but when the vehicle was returned to me, it had 75,000 miles on it. I asked why the mileage had increased so significantly, but they kept changing the subject and never provided an answer. When I went to pick up my vehicle, the salesperson who sold me the vehicle whispered to me that my vehicle needed new tires badly. I feel this was something the dealer should have addressed. I had not put many miles on my vehicle for the tires to be so worn. On January 18, 2023, I had to put new tires on this vehicle, which cost me $756.00. It was difficult for me to come up with this money, but I had no choice if I needed reliable transportation. I had traded in my older vehicle because I needed transportation, I could count on in my retirement years. On October 2, 2024, I needed new brakes, which were badly worn down. This expense cost me $900.00. The mechanic told me the oil level was very low and asked if a red light had come on to warn me. I said, "No, there was no sensor light." If it had not been for the thoroughness of my mechanic, I would have driven off with no oil in the engine. Right now, my car is parked because another senor light came on and I was told that it is the catalytic converter. I am distraught because I trusted Stowasser that they would take care of me because they knew I was retired and needed a reliable vehicle. I have lost my job, exhausted my unemployment benefits, and now live on Social Security. I cannot afford to fix this lemon of a car I was sold.Read more

Undercarriage is susceptible to, and has excessive rust including steering and suspension components, braking systems, frame and body mounting components, as well as the spare rim and mount. Rust increases in severity from front to rear. It has completely eaten through both of the rear shock absorber mounts, which is a very common problem for this model due to a faulty design where mud and debris
... become trapped in a bowl shaped depression and the drain hole is inadequate and often becomes clogged. Rust has compromised the rear brakes and the emergency brake no longer functions due to rust. The in cab lever cannot be moved, nor will the cables that enter the brake drum. There is also an ongoing issue with the normal braking system in the rear drums which causes the brakes to operate as if there were air in the lines. There is not, the brakes have been flushed and bled of air multiple times with no change in operation. The shock absorber mounts have had to be relocated to the outside of the frame with an aftermarket part, as they had become completely detached from the vehicle. The spare tire was so compromised with rust that it had to be discarded. There was less than half the depth of the metal intact. The sway bar links, control arms, ball joints, stabilizer bars, and frame have all been compromised by the rust in varying levels of severity. And the body mounts starting at the midsection are affected but are mostly in tact, however the rear body mounts have been nearly disintegrated. There are multiple locations on the frame that are now a safety concern. I have owned this vehicle for 1 year now and I became aware of these issues when the vehicle became dangerously uncontrollable with every bump, as if it had a broken steering component or were supported only by springs. It was as the tie rods were bad and the shocks broke free from the frame. A simple search shows this is a well known and documented issue , this should have been investigated and settled long ago.Read more

Every time this car comes to a stop, it rocks back and forth significantly on its suspension. Even at low speeds, it is noticeable when breaking, with about a second and a half of five to six rebounds back and forth. It is highly prominent with stronger braking or stop-and-go traffic, resulting in about two seconds of hard rocking back and forth. This problem happens more when the car is being dr
... iven in normal mode, meaning using both the acceleration and brake pedals; it’s less pronounced when driving in “one-pedal” mode. I took the car to the dealer service department, and they tested my car and other Prologues. The service department manager said this seems to be a problem in all the Prologues, even a 2025 model they tested. This problem is causing motion sickness for me and my wife, which can lead to distractions and potentially unsafe behaviors as explained below: * Distraction: Passengers experiencing motion sickness may be too focused on their discomfort to pay attention to the road or the driver, which can be dangerous. * Nausea and Vomiting: Nausea and vomiting can cause a passenger to become ill, which can be a distraction and potentially lead to unsafe behaviors like reaching for a trash bag or losing control of their body. * Safety of the Driver: If a passenger struggles with motion sickness, the driver may be distracted by the passenger's discomfort, which can lead to unsafe driving behaviors. * Increased Risk of Accidents:If a passenger becomes ill and the driver is distracted, the risk of accidents increases. Even though the dealership acknowledged that this seems to be a widespread problem based on the tests that their service department did, they are unwilling to take action until an official recall is in place. I applied my brake pedal to slow for traffic just before entering a roundabout. My car finally came to a stop, rim deep in soft dirt just off the shoulder of the road. I did not notice any warning lights come on. I don't know what system malfunctioned, but it had something to do with fuel delivery and possibly the cruise control and automatic braking functions. I was very lucky I was not injured. This malfunction could have caused a serious and possibly a fatal crash. This malfunction put me and nearby motorists at risk of being hit by an out of control vehicle. I checked the floor mat and it was not displaced. There were no loose objects that could have affected the gas or brake pedals. The police officer accused me of stepping on the gas instead of the brake, but that was definitely not the case, regardless of what he may write in his report. The car is currently at a local collision repair shop. They will be checking with the code reader to see if any codes come up involving the fuel and braking systems. My insurance adjuster has inspected the car through photos taken by the repair shop. The shop is currently taking the car apart to assess further damage underneath. Faulty abs control modules. Widespread problem after doing some research. Abs control module fails and sets off abs and traction control lights on the dash. Hasn't caused any incidents yet. A new ABS module is impossible to find - dealers or independent shops cannot get one. Apparently, the part is on engineering hold. Reading various forums, this is a common a
