I have had my 2025 GMC Acadia Denali for 1 week with 336 miles on it. When I went to start it on the evening of [XXX], I felt the brake pulse. Then the dash lite up with message to Service ESC. The brake icon was lite up red and ABS was lite up yellow color. I took my vehicle to our local Jeff Fender GMC dealership the next morning. The service tech did a brake pressure test which passed. He cle
... ared the codes. When I went out to leave the dealership, the codes came back on. The service tech said it is NOT safe to drive because my brakes can fail at anytime. Service said they need to replace the master cylinder. With this issue, my brakes could fail & a horrible crash could occur causing injuries and/or death. Service rep told me this has happened to a new Yukon too. My husband called the dealership in Lake City, FL, where we purchased the Acadia from & spoke to a service rep. He told my husband he has seen this in Yukons, Terrains & Sierra pick up trucks. This brake issue with the master cylinder should be a recall due to the potential dangers of a horrible accident that can occur if the brakes fail. I was driving down the interstate and the vehicle was struck by lightning. The vehicle lost all electrical power. As a result, the brakes did not work. Luckily, I was able to safely coast to a stop in the median. If the brakes can be more than 90% compromised during complete electrical failure, the vehicle should have a mechanical emergency brake.

I have 2 problems that I believe are situations that could be considered safety problems, I purchased my motorcycle in November of 2024, new, from the Harley Davidson dealership in Orlando FL. and since that time I have had the bike in the shop 5 times. The problems are that the rear brakes are not working correctly it takes a tremendous amount of pressure before they will begin to slow the bike d
... own, I was told that this is normal and that the brakes should only be 30% effective, I have that in writing from the dealership, the second problem is that the engine idle is very erratic and the bike has stalled several times while sitting at a red light, and after sitting at a red light or a stop sign for any amount of time the throttle response is very sluggish. I have checked many forums online and it appears that these are very common problems and nothing is being done about the problems. The solution I am being told is to purchase different brake pads, rotors and brake levers to make them work properly. The engine problem can be fixed by purchasing aftermarket tuning kits to change the ECM mapping. I don't think that the safety issues should be overlooked and that a customer should expect that a new Harley Davidson should handle, brake and run correctly.Read more

I purchased a Used Porsche Pre-Owned Certified 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo SUV on February 22, 2025, and within 4 to 6 weeks, the front brakes started to squeal very loudly when the vehicle comes to a near- stop. The dealership (Porsche River Oaks, 4007 Greenbriar Dr, Houston, TX 77098) tells me that this is normal squealing due to the type of brakes that this car has (PSCB). The squeal is louder t
... han typical brake squealing and shouldn't appear on such a newly purchased certified car. I am reading multiple complaints on the internet about the squealing problems with the Porsche Surface Coated Brakes (PSCB) that I have on my vehicle. I am also seeing that. Porsche Cars North America, Inc has issued a Technical Service Bulletin 120/22ENU 4652 published on Sept 9, 2022, on how to fix this problem for its customers with a special brake disc and brake pad with better acoustical properties. The parts for this repair are extremely expensive. My car is supposed to be under warranty, but the service technician has offered to only clean the brake pads which the service advisor tells me should suppress the brake squeal for a short period of time, but then told me that the noise will come back due to the type of PCSB brakes this car has. I feel like I have been tricked into buy a car with defective squealing brakes and Porsche Cars of North America knew about the problem with these PSCB brakes. My worry is that Porsche Dealerships, know how to temporarily fix this squealing problem when they sell these vehicles by cleaning the brake pads.Read more

1. Component/System that Failed: The component that has malfunctioned is the ABS actuator, which affects the vehicle’s anti-lock braking system. The issue has been diagnosed and confirmed by two independent repair shops. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2. Safety Risk: This issue has placed my safety—and the safety of others—at serious risk. There have been multiple sit
... uations where I feared I would be unable to stop in time, especially during sudden stops at red lights, heavy traffic braking, and even a brake check from an aggressive driver. The brakes feel inconsistent and make loud noises during hard braking. I transport my child in this vehicle regularly, and the fear of losing braking ability in an emergency is deeply unsettling. 3. Confirmation of Problem: Yes, the problem has been confirmed by two independent service centers, both of which diagnosed the issue as a known ABS actuator failure. They informed me that this is tied to a Toyota Customer Service Bulletin and recommended I contact the manufacturer for further assistance. 4. Inspection by Others: I contacted Toyota directly through their national customer service line and also visited a Toyota dealership in Dover, Delaware. Both confirmed that my vehicle was outside the coverage range of the CSP due to the 10-year limitation and refused assistance. I do not believe this is fair since the extension was granted right before Covid, which shut down the ability to get vehicles serviced for almost 2 years! This is unfair and needs to become a full recall. 5. Warning Signs and Timing: The warning indicators for the issue—the ABS light and VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) light—first appeared approximately two months after I purchased the vehicle in August 2024. Along with the warning lights, though my braking ability has severely declined recently. I would like Toyota to either help me get my vehicle safe or make this a real recall so that you don't risk loss of life over brakes.Read more

The brake booster assembly (part number 47070-47060) on my 2013 Toyota Prius has failed. This component is critical to the proper functioning of the braking system. It is currently still installed in the vehicle and available for inspection upon request. As a result of the failure, the ABS warning light, traction control light, and brake warning light are all illuminated on the dashboard. The brak
... ing performance has noticeably declined — the pedal feels inconsistent and at times unresponsive. This has created a significant safety risk while driving, especially during sudden stops or in wet conditions, as it compromises the vehicle's ability to brake efficiently and predictably. The issue has been confirmed by a Toyota dealer (or independent mechanic if that’s the case — feel free to change this line accordingly). The dealer diagnosed the issue as a failure of the brake booster assembly, which aligns with known failures reported by many other 3rd-generation Prius owners. The vehicle has not been involved in an accident, and has not been inspected by the police or insurance representatives. Toyota previously issued a Customer Support Program (CSP ZJB or ZG1) covering this part, but it has since expired. I only recently began experiencing symptoms and was unaware of the CSP until after contacting Toyota. Prior to the warning lights, I experienced intermittent symptoms such as a soft or delayed brake pedal, and an unusual sound from the brake system when the vehicle was turned off. The warning lights first appeared around [insert approximate mileage or date here], and have remained illuminated since then. Given the safety-critical nature of this component and the known defect history, I am requesting assistance from Toyota in the form of goodwill coverage or reimbursement, and would like this issue escalated for further review.Read more

I am filing a formal complaint against Subaru of America regarding a safety defect in my 2023 Subaru Ascent (VIN: [XXX] ) and their failure to honor warranty and recall obligations. Less than 9,000 miles later, the exact same sympt
... oms returned—steering wheel shaking and brake pulsation. In April 2025, Subaru resurfaced the upgraded rotors instead of replacing them, violating their own TSB, which prohibits unnecessary resurfacing and mandates rotor replacement if runout exceeds 0.05 mm. An independent inspection dated April 9, 2025, confirmed: Left front rotor measures 29.0 mm with 0.5 mm runout (10x Subaru’s limit) Right front rotor also measures 29.0 mm Subaru’s dealership claimed the rotors were 30.09 mm and 29.50 mm—inaccurate and misleading Subaru returned the vehicle in an unsafe condition with documented brake system defects. Their customer service insists the vehicle is “operating as designed,” despite clear evidence to the contrary. In November 2024 through December 2025 our Ram started experiencing issues with the traction control and ABS lights coming on randomly and the vehicle not braking properly. As December went on, all brake related lights stayed on and the truck feels like it has manual brakes from the 1970s. We received a Legal N

We did not drive the truck long distances for the latter half of December due to the issues we were experiencing plus receiving the legal notice. A couple weeks into January 2025 we received a notice from FCA US LLC indicating there is a safety recall for the Brake HCU which affects the ABS and ESC systems. The notice said the vehicle may lose control and cause a crash without prior warning. Due to this second notice and the fact that our truck was having more issues with the braking systems and the lights were permanently on, we parked the truck mid January 2025 and have not driven it since. In early March we contacted the local dealership Morie's of Little Fall, MN as well as Chrylser/Mopar asking when our truck can be repaired and explained this is our daily driver and only safe vehicle we have for distances over 30 miles. Neither of them have been helpful and could not give us an answer. The service person at Morie's confirmed our vehicle is a part of the recall and the things we are experiencing would be related. He advised we do not drive the vehicle either. We are now mid April, THREE MONTHS WITHOUT A SAFE VEHICLE TO DRIVE, and we have received no further communication from anyone relating to our truck. Formal Complaint Summary (VIN: [XXX] ) I am submitting this formal complaint concerning a 2023 Subaru Ascent Onyx Edition Limited (VIN: [XXX] ), which continues to experience brake-related safety defects despite recall repairs and repeated service attempts during the warranty period. Subaru of America issued Service Bulletin 06-92-24 in July 2024, which extended warranty coverage and acknowledge
... d systemic issues with front brake components—specifically brake pulsation, squealing, pedal softness, and vibration. Subaru developed new components and repair protocols to address these issues, including new rotors, tie bars, pad kits, and a revised installation process. In September 2024, I brought the vehicle to CMA’s Subaru of Winchester after experiencing symptoms covered under the recall. Subaru replaced all required recall components. However, the defect returned in March 2025, while driving from Indianapolis to Winchester, now worse than before—resulting in violent steering wheel vibration, loud grinding noises, and unsafe braking behavior, particularly during downhill braking. Instead of replacing the parts again, Subaru resurfaced the upgraded rotors—despite the bulletin’s warnings against doing so. This resurfacing served as a temporary patch, not a true fix, and failed to resolve the underlying safety issue. I have made 21 lease payments totaling $13,707.96 and paid a $6,000 down payment, totaling $19,707.96 in out-of-pocket costs. Subaru has offered only a $2,500 goodwill payment, which I rejected. Relief Requested: I am requesting a full reimbursement with buy back under Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Investigation to the reoccurring break issues despite being serviced for a recall. Brakes go all the way to the floor, barely could stop. No accident happened. It's very scary to even drive it anymore. I have taken it to 3 shops, 2 of the 3 say it's the ABS module. I have read a lot of reviews on this car having this issue. Probably nothing to be done since it's not even made anymore. Parts are getting obsolete.

Now brakes are locking up at random. Happened while going 70 mph with family in car and wheel was shaking and very unsafe. My year model (2013) is not included in the extended warranty for the brake
... booster (13N02) anymore since it was made in March of 2013. Any edges made in April of 2013, just one month later, are covered until 2025 by the customer satisfaction program extended warranty.Read more
