I own a Tesla Model X, and for the past two summers I’ve experienced a repeating safety-critical issue during hot weather. After driving for a period in the heat, multiple systems begin to fail. The car displays numerous warnings including: •“Parking brake requires service” •“Traction control disabled” •“Stability control disabled” •“Steering assist reduced” •“Automat
... ic Emergency Braking unavailable” •“Regenerative braking unavailable” •“Lane Departure Avoidance unavailable” When this happens, the steering wheel becomes very stiff and hard to turn, which severely affects my ability to drive and control the vehicle. I’ve brought the vehicle to Tesla service twice. The first time (when it was still under warranty), they said they couldn’t replicate the issue. The second time, I brought it in while the warnings were still active. Tesla only cleaned some sensors and returned the car, but the issue returned again recently with all the same symptoms. This only happens in hot weather. Once the car cools down, the errors disappear. This intermittent issue is difficult for the service center to replicate, but it presents a serious safety risk, especially because steering and braking functions are compromised. I believe this is a deeper electrical or software issue affecting multiple safety systems under thermal stress. The issue has not been resolved, and the vehicle remains dangerous to drive in high temperatures.Read more

I am reporting a brake failure issue that matches the symptoms described in NHTSA Campaign Number 19V-544 (Toyota recall for brake booster vacuum pump failure). Despite these symptoms and the known recall for this issue, my VIN is not currently included. This raises concer

I was driving on a road that was very rough with many bumps and the car (well in front of me) began to slow down to avoid a big pot hole, I applied my brakes to slow down before I got close to that car. Because the road was rough, as many others have filed the same complaint now, my Palisade engaged the ABS and the car coasted much farther than it shoudl have with the amount of brake pressure I wa
... s applying to stop before I collided with the vehicle slowing in front of me. The ABS prevented me from stopping before I almost hit the car who at that point had stopped in front of me, the forward collision warning came on and the emergency braking applied violently which almost caused a wreck behind me as well becuase the person behind me was not prepared to me to come to a complete abrupt halt. The palisade stopped itself after the ABS wouldn't let me stop soon enough to avoid a collision in front of me - almost causing a wreck behind me. With a simple google search, this ABS engaging on rough roads is a major common problem that Hyundai needs to address before we're all paying for wrecks that we didn't cause due to driver neglience but rather the functionality of the vehicle is causing the safety problem. I immediately called my dealership and have an appt for them to look at it early next week. I am the owner of a 2021 GMC Yukon Denali with the 6.2L V8 engine (VIN: [XXX] ). This vehicle has exhibited multiple serious issues affecting safety, drivability, and reliability. 1. Engine Noise & Oil Consumption: Since purchase, the vehicle has had a persistent loud knocking/tapping sound, especially under acceleration. The engine also consumes an excessive amount of oil between scheduled oil c
... hanges, with no visible leaks. I reported this to the dealership multiple times, but since there is no active recall or TSB, they refused to diagnose or repair the issue under warranty. I have since learned that many other 2021 Yukon Denali owners with the same 6.2L engine are experiencing similar issues and some have had repairs or engine replacements covered by GM. I have received no such support. 2. Braking Problems: The vehicle has ongoing brake performance issues. Despite replacing the brake components multiple times, the brakes feel inconsistent and unsafe, especially during highway driving or sudden stops. There is vibration and uneven response, and the braking system does not inspire confidence. These problems have persisted despite attempts to correct them. 3. Suspension/Handling Concerns: The suspension feels unstable and loose, especially at highway speeds or when turning. The ride quality is poor, and there is noticeable sway and body roll, which creates discomfort and concern for vehicle control. 4. Fuel/Propulsion System: The engine does not always respond smoothly to throttle input. I’ve noticed occasional hesitation or surging, which may be related to the previously mentioned oil consumption or fuel delivery. Again, the dealership has been unable or unwilling to resolve these issues without charging diagnostic fees. I’ve reported these issues to my local GMC dealer on multiple occasions, but no lasting solution has been provided, and I have not been able to afford expensive diagnostic costs out of pocket—especially for a vehicle of this price INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

I believe that there is a safety issue with the design of the adaptive cruise control on the 2024 Honda Pilot. The vehicle applies the brakes at about 1 mph over the selected speed. It is especially aggressive when topping a hill. The gas lets up, but due to the vehicle inertia, the car slightly accelerates, then braking. I believe that this action is unsafe for several reasons. It slows the v
... ehicle several mph below the set speed causing cars behind me to swerve or come close to me. No human driver would apply the brakes in that situation. It also appears to irritate those same drivers. I’m glad that none of them has a weapon so far. It also applies the brakes going downhill on the interstate highway. This occurs at any speed below 55 mph. This also makes it look like the driver is continually tapping the brakes, when no one normally would. I suspect that there may be extra brake wear. My family asks what is going on with the car because of the aggressive braking. I previously owned a 2018 Honda Pilot with adaptive cruise control. It used transmission downshifting to slow the vehicle. I admit that there were some over speeds, but nothing serious. The 2024 Owner’s Manual states that downshifting is also used, but I’ve only seen the brakes used for over speed control. There are no user selectable adjustments to the system. I am getting used to this (feature, not a bug) by clicking off the cruise control whenever the conditions are close for a brake activation. This causes me to pay more attention to monitoring for those conditions, rather than the actual driving and traffic scan. I suggest that the system use downshifting followed by brakes after a 3 or 4 mph excursion from the set speed.Read more
