Hi, my name is [XXX] and I leased a 2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy last summer. I have been having issues with my car skidding on rough or uneven pavement and I brought the car in for service to check the issue. I was told by the dealership that my issue is "normal" and it's how the ABS system works. This is obviously ridiculous because no car is supposed to skid on regular roads with no snow
... or ice. The car skids and the wheel shakes and my brakes do not work for a few seconds. I have to basically slam on the brakes and pray the car stops. I told the dealership it is definitely not normal. They said they would check the car and call me. I got a call a couple hours later telling me the ABS system is working fine. When I googled the issue, I saw many, many complaints about this issue and a class action lawsuit that has been filed. I picked up my car and asked the representative to speak to a manager. He said they all leave at 4:00. It was 4:30. I asked him how Hyundai is ok with sending people like me back out on the road knowing the ABS system is faulty and causes loss of brakes? He replied "Until Hyundai issues a recall, there is nothing we can do." I have owned Hyundai cars in the past and have always admired them as a company. They offer great safety and great warranties. But now I ask why they are ignoring this obvious safety issue? What will happen when a person driving a Palisade loses brakes and God forbid hits a car or a person? Please make this right and fix these cars so that we can feel safe on the road. My children drive my car, though I won't be allowing that anymore. Please advise on next steps. My 25 Pallisade front end/front wheels shake violently when braking and hitting a bump at the same time. It shakes so hard my steering wheel shakes also. It can happen when braking hard, soft, small bump, big bump, it doesn’t seem to matter. It is brand new and I took it into the dealership when there was about 1500 miles on it. They didn’t find anything wrong.

omponent/System Involved: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC ⸻ Make: Toyota Model: Prius Year: 2015 Mileage: 155,470 VIN: [XXX] ⸻ What happened: My 2015 Toyota Prius is experiencing brake failure symptoms related to a known defect addressed in Toyota’s Warranty Enhancement Program ZJB. The vehicle has triggered DTC codes C1256 and C1391, which indicate failure of the brake booster and master cy
... linder — a problem widely reported by Prius owners. The defect causes decreased brake effectiveness and increased stopping distance. My Prius is just 5,470 miles over Toyota’s 150,000-mile coverage cap, and despite confirming the exact codes, the dealership refused to repair unless Toyota pays first. Toyota Corporate opened Case #[XXX], but has not offered a resolution. This is a safety-critical issue that Toyota acknowledges in internal service bulletins, but they are denying assistance based on a technicality, despite my vehicle having the exact failure their program is designed to address. Automatic parking assist and reverse braking systems exhibit severe, recurring malfunctions causing collisions and injuries. On May 24, 2025, at approx. 4:10 PM, auto-park uncommanded the vehicle to strike a mailbox in a familiar spot. Dealer dismissed incident without diagnostics. Beyond this collision, the vehicle exhibits frequent, violent, unintended braking during reverse. This occurs when:
... Turning body to look back: System abruptly locks brakes, causing whiplash-like neck pain to me. Dealer stated this was "normal" for "driver seating" despite explanation. Encountering minor obstacles: System misidentifies leaves/garbage bins as threats, engaging full, hard braking. This causes extreme distress and has violently thrown passengers forward. My teenager son sustained a visible bruise for one week after hitting the console during one such incident March 2024 These system malfunctions create high risk of injury to occupants and pedestrians. The unpredictable braking events are a fundamental flaw. These issues were reported to the dealer within weeks of purchase and to VW Group of America Customer Care (800-822-8987) after the mailbox incident. They remain unresolved."Read more

The electric power brake (EPB) on my vehicle had a fault three separate times. The first time, the rear brakes were engaged by the EPB for approximately a half an hour. The second time a few weeks later, they stayed locked for approximately one hour. A few weeks after that, the brake locked up while the car was parked, and would not release for almost 7 days. It isn’t the fault itself that is of
... the greatest concern. It is the fact that there is no apparent emergency release for the parking break. I’m grateful I did not need to use the car to drive my kids to the emergency room, for example. I’m very surprised and disappointed that Kia, throughout all of their other innovations, does not have an emergency EPB/brake release handle. One could easily be put in the back of the car, near the spare tire, with a cable and set of release pins, which when pulled, would release the EPB and the car could be driven.Read more

My 2025 GMC Denali EV has experienced repeated safety-critical issues, including severe torque pull under acceleration, making it difficult to maintain safe lane position and compromising steering control. This behavior persists even after inspection and is documented on video. The vehicle has also had repeated service brake assist faults, including one critical failure at under 6,000 miles and a
... dditional incidents that resulted in me being stranded out of state. Additionally, I have experienced ghost braking while reversing, where the vehicle unexpectedly applies brake force even when parking assist features are manually disabled. I have performed comparative testing with an identical Denali EV loaner (same year and build), as well as three dealership test units, all of which exhibited proper steering stability and regenerative braking behavior. My vehicle’s issues are therefore not “normal operation” but clear, reproducible defects that affect both safety and expected vehicle performance. These issues raise major concerns for real-world safety scenarios requiring immediate acceleration (e.g., merging onto highways or avoiding fast-approaching vehicles). My documented comparative evidence and repeated attempts to have the defects addressed have not resulted in a safe resolution.Read more

I am reporting a serious safety issue with my 2021 Honda CR-V involving the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS). On multiple occasions, the vehicle has applied the brakes suddenly and forcefully without any obstacle or vehicle in front of me. THIS HAD HAPPENED OVER 20 times since i bought the CAR on March 10 2024. The most recent incident occurred while I was driving at highway speed on a
... clear, dry day. The CMBS system engaged abruptly, causing the car to decelerate rapidly and SLAMED BREAKS automatically. There were no vehicles, pedestrians, or obstructions ahead. This unexpected braking could have easily resulted in a rear-end collision, endangering me and other drivers. I have kids in the back sit and the car behind us almost hit my car. I am afraid the result might have been much worse if there was TRUCK behind my car. I took the vehicle to the Honda dealership, but they were unable to replicate the issue and did not offer a fix. They also mentioned that unless the problem could be duplicated, any diagnostic or repair fees would not be covered, despite this being a known issue under investigation by the NHTSA. I am aware that the NHTSA has an open Engineering Analysis (EA24-002) into this very issue affecting millions of Honda vehicles. I’m deeply concerned that this problem continues to put drivers and passengers at risk and believe a formal recall is necessary. She was able to manuever it into a ditch, which fortunately wasn't very deep to avoid any other cars. We took this to the

The car was at the dealership for over two weeks to be repaired as the dealership had to work with technicians at Acura to determine cause/replacement; however they indicated they can not guarantee it won't happen again. My mother lost my father two years ago and this was the first car she purchased on her own and now she is terrified. We asked Acura to help assist changing her out of this car and they simply refused through the manager of the dealership indicating they did nothing wrong and they have replaced the $8k part. Since she bought the vehicle in April 2025 and this happened just 6 weeks later, that does not give us comfort. The dealership was helpful and we were able to get her into a different kind of vehicle although she had to pay $8k more and she is on a fixed income. She has had multiple Acuras however this is a safety issue and likely a potential recall simply from numbers I have seen from research and the potential harm this could cause occupents of the car and anyone else that may be near them on the road. We are very disappointed in Acura. We may have to go back to dealership to get repair info as we didn't accept this car back, they gave my mother a loaner and then we bought a new one. My 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has had squeaky brakes for many months (from 4,000 miles onward and consistently continues to be an annoyance, nuisance, and safety hazard while intensifying in frequency), but despite taking the vehicle to the Toyota dealer more than 4 times, they have been unable to repair the issue. At least twice the air bag sensors have come on for the backseat when there was nobody
... seated in the backseat, distracting me from safely driving. Toyota has done nothing to right the wrong mechanically, refund me for the vehicle (a lease) or offer a replacement. I have a 14 page document filed with the Florida Attorney General Lemon Law Division thoroughly indicating why these ongoing mechanical failures, safety hazards, nuisances and distractions to me the driver substantially impair the use, value, and safety of the vehicle—fulfilling key criteria under Florida Statutes § 681.102 and § 681.104, which I am happy to provide all consumers and attorneys willing to launch a CLASS ACTION against Toyota. Florida law defines "impairment of value" not by market collapse, but by any reasonable reduction in consumer confidence. Consumer disclosure laws require honesty about defects. Florida Statute § 681.102(15) defines a “nonconformity” as a defect that “substantially impairs the use, value, or safety of the motor vehicle.” My vehicle has been subject to repair more than 4 times for the same defect within 24 months and thus qualifies for relief. The manufacturer’s failure to permanently correct the squeaky brakes—even after attempted repairs—demonstrates a pattern of unresolved nonconformity. The squeaky brake issue is not a cosmetic inconvenience—it affects the vehicle's functionality, resale integrity, and safety assurance. Toyota acknowledges the problem exists (via TSB) but has failed to provide a lasting solution. If unresolved, this defect would materially concern any reasonable consumer and diminish confidence in the vehicle’s reliability and safety.Read more
