My vehicle’s engine failed for the second time while driving on the road. The first time a few months ago while my wife was driving. The engine failed and brakes failed. Fortunately she was on a back road a coasted to a stop. Car was towed to dealership. They said there was no problem. Received recall letter about a month ago outlining this issue. Yesterday, [XXX], I was driving with my daughter
... and the car stopped again while driving. I was in traffic and narrowly missed an accident. Gwinnett county police came to the scene and towed the vehicle to the dealership. I am not sure if the female officer made a report. But she requested the tow truck because I was blocking traffic. We often drive on the highway for work commutes. This could have happened and anyone in my family could have been fatally injured. I would like GMC purchase this vehicle back or replace with a safer model comparable or better. The service department called me this morning from Jim Ellis GMC in Buford, Georgia 678-902-8677, 3600 Buford Drive 30519.I was told that there is no recall for my truck. He told me that there is a safety investigation for a recall. I told him I can bring the letter. He decline. I asked for a courtesy vehicle. He said no, he would have to make a report and it would be up to 48 hours. Once it’s reviewed , then I could go to enterprise car rental to pick up a car. Maybe. The first time Rick Hendrick GMC Duluth , Ga 470-822-3779, 3344 Commerce Ave, Duluth, ga had my truck for about 2 weeks. No fix. No courtesy vehicle or rental. Now I’m without my vehicle for unlimited time. The Jim Elis tech, did acknowledge that there is no fix for what is going on. The local GMC dealers are not making this easy or putting the safety of its customers as a priority. These trucks are NOT safe on the road. This truck cost nearly $100,000 and it is not safe to drive.GMC has a record of the 1st service incident and this latest just happened yesterday. On [Wednesday, 07/09/2025], I was driving my Tesla Model 3 in rainy conditions when the vehicle suddenly swerved and crashed into a sidewall. The road was wet but not flooded, and I was traveling at a moderate speed. As I lifted my foot off the accelerator to slow down, the car's regenerative braking system engaged abruptly, which I believe shifted weight forward and caused the rear tires to lose
... traction. This led to hydroplaning and complete loss of control. There were no warning lights or alerts prior to the incident. The road surface did not have visible hazards or standing water that would typically explain a spinout. The tires were moderately worn but within usable limits. As a result of the crash, the car was declared a total loss. The insurance company now has possession of the vehicle. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the crash was severe. After the incident, I researched similar cases and found multiple reports and articles (e.g., AutoEvolution) linking Tesla’s regenerative braking to increased risk of hydroplaning or loss of control in wet or slippery conditions. The regen system eliminates coasting and applies braking force immediately upon throttle lift-off, which appears to be a safety risk in reduced-traction environments like rain, snow, or ice. I believe this issue deserves investigation, as it may affect the safety of other Tesla drivers in similar weather conditions.Read more

While driving my 2021 Chevrolet Blazer LT on the freeway with my wife and child, the “Brake Assist” warning came on and the brake pedal suddenly became extremely stiff. I was going about 65 mph, and it became difficult to slow down safely. We were terrified. This created a serious safety hazard, as I almost couldn’t stop in time and could have caused a crash or gotten someone killed. The ch
... eck engine light came on as well. I had previously taken the vehicle in for a similar rattling or braking noise back in 2021 and was told it was “fine.” Now the issue seems to have gotten worse. I have since learned that other owners have reported similar brake assist issues on 2021 Chevrolet Blazers, and it appears there are service bulletins but no recall yet. I am extremely concerned that GM has not addressed this defect, especially since it happened without warning and endangered my family’s lives. I am requesting a full investigation into this issue and for GM to take full responsibility for the repair.Read more

I am writing to file a formal safety complaint regarding my 2021 Jeep Renegade, which has been experiencing sudden, unprovoked automatic braking for almost a year. The issue began in Spring [Year], and over the past two months, it has become significantly more frequent. The vehicle brakes sharply on its own even when there are no obstacles, cars, or objects in front of us. This happens at normal
... driving speeds and creates a serious risk of rear-end collisions—especially dangerous on highways. We have a baby, and this malfunction has put our family in frightening situations multiple times. We’ve brought the vehicle to the dealer and service center several times, but they claim no error code shows up, so no repair is made. The car is currently at the service center again, and still no resolution. We’ve also requested assistance from our Jeep case manager, but no effective action has been taken. There are additional issues such as: •The door locks stop working after it rains, requiring us to use the physical key in the door. •The sunroof stopped working, even though it was replaced two years ago (this is currently being addressed, but remains part of the larger reliability concern). This automatic braking issue is the most urgent concern. The car is not safe to drive, and the lack of response from Jeep is deeply troubling. Please let me know if further information, service records, or documentation is needed.Read more

mechanical and safety-related failures observed in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, specifically involving the suspension system, wheels, and braking components. Despite extensive repair efforts—including replacement of all four wheels and tires, complete AWD four-wheel alignment, and diagnostics performed at authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships—the underlying issues persist. To date, the total cost i
... ncurred in attempting to remedy these defects exceeds $15,848. The vehicle and its components have been inspected by two independent Mercedes-Benz dealer service centers and a certified third-party auto inspection firm. All parties have confirmed, through drive testing and diagnostics, that the problems are reproducible and continue to impair vehicle safety and performance. The suspension and associated hardware have been identified as the root cause of instability and braking inconsistencies. These findings align with broader patterns observed in similar vehicles, suggesting a recurring defect that warrants intervention by the manufacturer. Despite clear evidence from multiple independent sources, the manufacturer has failed to initiate a recall or implement corrective measures. This failure poses an ongoing safety risk to operators and the general public. The vehicle remains available for further inspection upon request. Immediate attention to this matter is expected to prevent further liabilities and protect consumer welfare.Read more

My Porsche Taycan unexpectedly applies the brakes on its own while traveling at highway speeds and flashes a red warning message instructing me to take control of the steering wheel, even though both of my hands are already on the wheel. This is extremely dangerous because sudden braking at high speeds creates a major risk of rear-end collisions and loss of control. When It Occurs: This issue sta
... rted recently and has happened multiple times under normal driving conditions (clear weather, open road, both hands on the wheel, no imminent obstacle). It appears to occur without warning and without any legitimate reason for emergency braking. Approximately 3 times in 1 month. Dealer Response: I reported the problem to my Porsche dealership. They claimed this behavior is “normal,” but also acknowledged that many other owners have experienced similar issues. Despite this, they offered no fix and did not classify it as a defect. I strongly disagree that this is normal—this is a critical safety hazard. I have another upcoming appointment for an additional check June 29, 2025. Safety Risk: Unexpected braking at highway speeds could lead to a rear-end crash, loss of control, or serious injury. This is not driver error. The vehicle is misinterpreting conditions or malfunctioning, and the warning to take control of the steering wheel despite both hands being on the wheel suggests a possible sensor or software failure.Read more

I believe the 2025 Land Cruiser have a manufacturer welding defects that creating the rattling and tapping noise which is needed to be thoroughly investigated. Pillars a, b, c, and d on cars which have welding defects can compromise the safety of the vehicles and its occupants. 1. It weakens the structure and reduce crashworthiness. 2.Failure of welded components will reduce strength and load bearing. 3.Risk of cabin collapse. 4.It impact on safety features this areas is where airbags and safety belts been supported. 5. While driving with the cruise control set at 52mph, I was coming to a known left curve with a stop sign four way intersection that follows it (I drive this route at least 50% of the time whenever leaving my home). I hit the 'Cancel' button to stop the cruise control as I came to the curve, and there was no response. I hit the brakes and again there was no response. At that point I prepared for a w
... reck because I knew the curve was tight, followed by that intersection's stop sign, and I was almost upon the curve. Continuing to try to apply brakes and getting no response, I could not hold the curve of the road and left the roadway to the right side. I narrowly avoided a lightpole, and then I was finally at the ditch of the crossroad already mentioned. The truck struck the ditch embankment facing me and likely launched airborn at that point, going across the first lane of the crossroad. After about the width of that lane, it appears that's when the front suspension landed, gouging the asphalt and deploying the airbag on me at that point. This seems to be when the braking system finally responded as I started to slow down some, as it bounced and jerked across the remaining lanes, leaving skid marks on that part of the road. I steered it between two signs on the far side, still barely under control but it finally slowing down into the 20s or so, where I had control and brought it to a stop. The vehicle had no known issues or ODBII scan codes prior to this incident. *After the incident*, there was an ABS system fault code present, and it also showed an ABS fault message on the vehicle information screen after the incident. I believe this could be related to the cruise control malfunction, as I know that the ABS system is often involved in modern cruise control systems to control hill descent speeds. The road section just prior to where I attempted to turn off the cruise control was on a slight hill descent, but I don't know if that was related to what happened to me.Read more

On multiple occasions, my 2024 Hyundai Palisade (VIN [XXX] ) has experienced a serious safety issue involving the anti-lock braking system (ABS). While traveling at low speeds (approximately 5–15 mph) over bumps or uneven surfaces, the ABS has unexpectedly activated, preventing the vehicle from slowing or stopping when the brakes are pressed. In each case, the vehicle continued to move for an a

I narrowly avoided a collision by swerving to avoid hitting the vehicle in front of me. Fortunately, no pedestrians or oncoming vehicles were in the immediate area—otherwise, the outcome could have been catastrophic. I reported the issue to Koeppel Hyundai in Long Island City, NY, on July 14, 2025, and brought the vehicle in for inspection that day. A technician acknowledged that other Palisade owners had reported similar incidents. Their only recommendation was to disable the "Auto Hold" feature, suggesting it might be contributing to the problem. I followed this guidance, but the issue reoccurred on [XXX] despite Auto Hold being turned off. This is a critical safety concern that requires immediate attention and a definitive repair—not just a workaround. Until Hyundai identifies and resolves the underlying issue, this defect puts drivers, passengers, and pedestrians at significant risk. Hello, To whom this may concern, The ABS light turned on the dashboard on a Tuesday evening. My wife kept driving. In the next couple of days, it would feel like the car was all over the road, under braking. It seemed very hard to take off. On Friday, I was outside and heard the car was making a noise. As an automotive technician, I knew the ABS module was cycling nonstop. I pulled the fuse out o
... f the fuse panel to make sure it wouldn't catch fire. We took the car back to the dealer when the bulletin came out for these cars catching fire due to an ABS issue years ago. I went to the dealer on that Saturday and informed them of the ABS module cycling nonstop. They told me that the bulletin had been done already and there was nothing they could do for me. I called Hyundai customer support, and they forced me to pay a diagnostic charge of $220 to tell me it was a failure internally in the ABS module and that they wouldn't cover the repairs. I found it very surprising that Hyundai only had to change a fuse to prevent cars from catching fire. It doesn't make sense to me how the NHTSA allowed them to only change a fuse and not the module that Hyundai said was faulty. This puts every car that I drive next to in danger, with the module going off nonstop while I drive down the road. This has all happened in the last month. Please hold Hyundai truly accountable for this nonsense. It is unacceptable that they can get away with just changing a fuse to prevent a fire, and not fix the actual issue, the ABS module.
