I have had multiple issues with my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport in the past 3 years and there have been multiple recalls. The ac failed at the 2 year mark and the rear brakes also started to make an odd noise intermittently when I would have the vehicle in reverse. I reported it and asked Ted Britt Ford in Fairfax, VA to check it twice (this is the dealership I purchased the vehicle from - I had them
... check it on 7/3/24 and 9/28/24 and have service records confirming) and they said they could find nothing wrong and there was no recall for it and there was nothing they could do (keeping in mind my vehicle was under warranty at that time). Fast forward to today, I go in for an oil change and mention the rear brakes are making noise again and ask if they can check it for me. They told me there is now a remedy for the issue, acknowledging there wasn't in the past. I mentioned at the time that I had reported and asked about it twice and why should I now have to pay for that when clearly this is a defect that should have been addressed by Ford when I initially reported it (keeping in mind that my vehicle is now out of warranty). Then they tell me I need to replace the front brake pads and brake fluid for a cost of over 1k and rear rotors and brake pads for 1200, but admitted the rear brake pads are not that bad and can wait. I do not ride my brakes and have no history of that in any vehicle I've ever owned, so I did some research and learn that this is an issue with the 2022 Ford Bronco Sport which seems to have MANY issues. Ford is not acknowledging any of the issues that this specific year/make/model has. I clearly alerted them to an issue a year ago and they claimed to have no solution but now they magically do once it's out of warranty? Clearly having defective brakes is a safety issue, not to mention the fuel injector issue that is under recall - apparently Ford doesn't have the part for that either. Please issue a recall for the defective brake pads and rotors.Read more

While driving my 2022 Toyota Highlander (VIN: [XXX] , 29,427 miles), I have experienced multiple recurring safety defects that Toyota has been unable or unwilling to repair under warranty. •Front collision sensors frequently trigger without any object present, creating a risk of unexpected emergency braking at freeway speeds. •Transmission hesitates and surges unpredictably, sometimes propelli
... ng the vehicle into traffic. •In heavy rain, my windshield wipers activated on their own and multiple system failure warnings appeared (including ABS failure), nearly causing a crash. •Persistent startability issue when fuel is below half a tank. •Seatbelt malfunction caused a passenger to strike their head. •Seat heater failure, seat separation, persistent coolant odor, and nonfunctional factory wireless charger since purchase. These defects are intermittent but recurring, and their unpredictability increases the danger. Toyota and the dealer have failed to duplicate the issues during short test drives, but they continue to occur during normal operation. This vehicle remains under factory and extended warranty, yet repairs have been denied. I believe these defects pose a serious risk to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. On a number of occasions, the vehicle does not stop when hitting the brakes. The car shudders and shakes violently, while continuing to lunge forward before finally stopping. This has happened to me approaching crosswalks, intersections, and stop signs. This is a problem for many reasons as it is a safety hazard for me and my family, as well as other drivers and pedestrians. I brought my car to th

On 8/6, my vehicle was returned to me. The dealership said they were not able to replicate the problem (after driving it for 3 miles). They did not fix my car or change anything, but corporate told them to release all vehicles with this issue. This is a safety concern that Hyundai is not addressing.Read more

Checked by HTN AUTO SHOP at 800 N Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK-73106. Shop owner said it could be a problem sooner or later since the car is operated under dirt road a lot and recommand me not driving it very often. I spoke with Fowler toyota rental and service manager they said the recall for my car wont be avaiable till October- that is another 2 months from now. The dealership do aware this is safety recall and i should get a rental but im not comtable with Toyota may review and 2 months later rejected my rental bill for reimburse. Toyota Corporate kept telling me they have to review later. First call with them on 08/07/2025- the lady told me that Toyota will definitely review and pay for the reimbursement, i just need to go rent and pay for them myself first then reimburst later. I told her i cant do that i need Toyota to pay directly and she said there was nothing she can do. Then i went to Fowler Toyota TRAC department (rent a toyota) at dealership and told the dealership i want to leave my truck there till recall is done and i need a rental. The contact’s daughter owns a 2017 Jeep Cherokee. The contact was informed that while driving approximately 35 - 40 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to engage. The vehicle jumped a curb, causing the driver to activate the parking brake to stop the vehicle. The Brake Warning light then illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the brake pads were w

The contact stated that the brakes failed to engage while the vehicle was shifted into reverse. The dealer engaged the parking brake to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an Auto Parts store and a diagnostic test was performed and a fault for the brake booster was retrieved. The vehicle was not repaired due to the part being out of stock and needing the manufacturer's permission to sell the part. The vehicle was driven to the residence and remained unrepaired. The contact stated that while driving into the garage and depressing the brake pedal, there was a metallic grinding sound coming from the brakes. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V572000 (Service Brakes, Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the VIN was not included. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.Read more

•Initial incident: July 2, 2025 •Recurring occurrences: August 8, 2025 Vehicle Issue Description: Several months ago, the vehicle’s check engine light came on. The shop found no mechanical issues and confirmed the vehicle was
... operating normally at that time. On August 6, 2025, the “Service Brake Assist” warning appeared briefly on the dashboard but turned off shortly afterward. The parking brake warning light also came on that same day, then went off. These warning lights reappeared intermittently on August 8, 2025. No repairs have been made as there are no active recalls related to these issues. However, it is noted that there are consumer complaints reporting similar problems. This raises concerns about potential intermittent or undetected safety system faults, particularly involving the brake assist system and parking brake functionality. Checked brakes again no issues determined per Bridgestone and Mavis.Read more

common problem with these Lexus ct200h, as well as Toyota Prius V models, are that the brake accumulators begin to leak internally, as they share the same part numbers. Therefore, the actuator will buzz every few seconds trying to keep pressure in the braking system to a safe operating level of gas pressure to no avail due to this leak in the actuator. After it quits buzzing from shutting the car
... off, you can hear the air leak hissing the pressure away. There are tons and tons of articles on this issue online as this is a major safety concern. Many have had Toyota replace the part free of charge as well due to the extended 10 year, or 150k miles, in whichever comes first. warranty. This may be perhaps because there are several more prius on the road than this rare Lexus CT200H. Just look up “c1391 danger” and see what comes up. In my opinion, as well as many, it is pathetic that an issue in which endangers the lives of others due this brake failure is not further addressed. There is Not much stopping distances when and after this suddenly occurs. In the process, the abs, traction control, brake, a yellow exclamation mark, lights suddenly all come on the dash at once and the brake feels like a sponge very suddenly, as it did me as I was driving today. There were no engine lights as I started my drive. There are no external brake fluid leaks involved for this actuator. Toyota covers it under extended warranty, although it appears as though Lexus does not, this is a major safety hazard and concern. The trouble code is.: C1391. Also, I went to Sewell Lexus of Dallas today and was told there are no recalls, after looking my vin #. The service program had expired and there is nothing they can do for me. Please extend the program or issue a recall for this dangerous failure. The repair cost is substantial and should be covered for a known flaw.Read more

I own a 2021 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport with approximately 34,000 miles, purchased as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. The brakes make an extremely loud, metal-on-metal screeching noise when driving slowly, reversing or driving on hills. The sound is harsh and high-pitched, resembling worn-out or defective brake pads or rotors. I brought the issue to a VW dealership, and they confirmed the noise
... but claimed it is “normal” and offered no repair. The sound is consistent and worsens on incline. This issue raises serious safety concerns, including potential brake system wear/failure or lack of effective stopping power in certain conditions. After researching, I discovered many other VW Atlas and Cross Sport owners are reporting the same problem across model years 2020–2023. Some have resorted to replacing OEM brake parts with aftermarket components to resolve the issue. I believe this may be a design or materials defect affecting a large number of vehicles. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate this issue for potential safety implications and consider whether a recall or technical service bulletin is necessary.Read more

I recently took my 2012 Mercedes-Benz E350 to an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership after experiencing corrosion of the rear subframe. After removing the subframe for repair, they observed serious corr

Most likely, the issue would not have been discovered if the dealership had not removed the subframe. The dealership advised me that this issue requires immediate service due to safety concerns (potential failure) as the braking system could fail while driving the vehicle. The cost to have the work done is $5800. Beyond the dealership service center, I'm not aware if brake line has been inspected by others (engineers) in Mercedes-Benz.
