This vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall #25V236 (Ford Recall #25S37) for a defective brake master cylinder that can leak into the brake booster, reducing braking effectiveness and creating a serious crash risk. The recall was issued on April 11, 2025. As of today, Ford has not provided any remedy. My local dealership confirmed that no fix is available, and Ford Corporate has refused to provide a l
... oaner, rental allowance, or written timeline. This leaves me with an unsafe vehicle that I cannot rely on. This recall has been open for months without resolution, and Ford’s refusal to provide assistance places me and the public at risk. I request that NHTSA investigate Ford’s failure to provide a remedy in a timely manner, require Ford to provide comparable loaner/rental vehicles until the repair is available, and hold them accountable for this unreasonable delay.Read more

The vehicle has grade assist braking, which cannot be disabled. At speeds below 35mph this braking is too strong and cannot be properly controlled with throttle input. The effect is that, when going downhill, if you release pressure from the gas pedal, the vehicle will abruptly decelerate by several mph with no illumination of the brake light. In traffic, in hilly areas, this is extremely dangero
... us and has led to several instances of nearly being rear ended. Furthermore, the only way to avoid slowing down is to accelerate. There is no way to feather the gas pedal to coast downhill, so you are either speeding up or slowing down (abruptly). This also requires keeping your foot on the gas pedal when it would be safer to be able to control the vehicle with the brakes. I have reported this to Ford. I have not taken the vehicle to a dealership (because I suspect that they will not be able to do anything about it). There are no warning lights.Read more

Around May 2025, the brake booster and pump in the car stopped working. There was no clear warning lamp or indicator prior to it failing. While driving on the highway, the part stopped working and significantly changed the car's braking power. Rather than smoothly braking as it did before, the car's brakes have significantly less braking power. The defective part also affects the car's ABS sys
... tem, making the car unsafe if a sudden stop were required as the brakes will lock up and the car will lose grip on the road and start skidding. Significantly longer braking distances is needed and it's not clear the car would be able to safely stop at a short distance in the event of an emergency. It's a miracle we didn't get into any accidents when the part suddenly failed. There is a significant risk that failure of this part will be the cause of a car accident when the car suddenly no longer brakes how the driver is used to. Toyota has previously offered an extended warranty on the part, but the part did not fail until shortly after the warranty expired. The car has been within my family since it was originally put into service and none of the owners were ever notified that the part could be replaced or even fail in such a manner. The problem has been confirmed by a dealer but they have only offered to fix it at a significant cost. The vehicle does not feel safe to drive. Warning lights only appeared after the part failed but they weren't particularly helpful in diagnosing the problem in the moment because 4 different lights turned on all at once.Read more

On August 20, 2025, my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie was taken to the dealership for diagnosis after showing the warning “Electronic Stability Control system needs service,” along with a flashing check engine light. The dealer pulled diagnostic codes and documented U0403-00 (“Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module A”) as well as other communication errors. This is
... the same defect covered under Stellantis’ recall for ABS module failures that disable stability control in 2019 Ram trucks. However, my VIN is not included in the recall. A few years ago, the truck experienced the same warning, but the problem cleared on its own. Now it has returned and is documented with codes in the dealer system. The dealership acknowledged other recalls were already completed on my VIN, but refuses to perform this safety recall since my VIN is not listed. ABS and ESC failures are not the result of consumer behavior. This is a faulty system created at the time of vehicle manufacturing. There has been no accident or outside damage, and nothing the owner could have done to avoid this issue. The defect lies with the vehicle’s design and creates a serious safety risk for the driver and others on the road. I believe my VIN was excluded from the recall in error and request that NHTSA investigate and expand the coverage.Read more

The brake actuator failed, it can be available for inspection anytime. My ABS light, brake light, and traction control lights all came on to indicate the failure. Since the hybrid engine requires the breaking system to recharge, failure of this part will eventually lead you to be stranded if it isn’t functional. Additionally, the responsiveness of the breaks makes driving at higher speeds a l

My vehicle displayed numerous brake failure codes and limited my speed to 43mph. When taken into my local GMC dealer the diagnostics I was given were a bad/leaking master cylinder. This vehicle has 16,200 miles on it and was never used for towing or hauling. The brakes are hard and brake assist has clearly failed. I’ve found numerous recalls and issues with other year vehicles from GMC, yet they
... are denying any liability on my vehicle. They want over $3000 to replace the master cylinder even though there’s no physical leak observed via fluid loss. This is a major safety concern when a major brake component fails on such a low mileage vehicle. This truck also has a well known seal leak on the rear window that causes mold to grow inside of the vehicle cabin. Apparently no one has died yet so they have not been forced to put out a recall. Consumers should not be forced to spend thousands of dollars on major components on such low mileage vehicles. Especially when it comes to safety items like braking. I’ve researched this for hours and have found this has been a known issue on these 2020 models many people. Some even brand new after driving them off the dealership lot. Clearly there is an issue and the manufacturer refuses to address it.Read more

The engine bay of my car caught fire due to the abs pump and module not turning off. I bought a part but never opened the box because I received a piece of mail stating the recall of that exact issue that they would replace all parts damaged. Which they didn't just installed their relay After Hyundai recall 188 was completed, my ABS pump failed. I believe it was caused by continuous power being a
... pplied post-shutdown — the exact defect the recall was meant to fix. The dealer performed an inspection but misrepresented the results and refuses to replace the damaged component under recall. This ABS pump failure is a direct result of the original recall condition — or a failed installation of the relay fix — which continued to keep power applied to the pump while the vehicle was off. This is the exact scenario the recall was intended to prevent. If the failure is caused by that condition, Hyundai is still responsible under recall. The facility which did the recall falsely recorded the mileage on my vehicle as to void any "warranty" associated with the recall as the car hasn't been driven since the module was replaced. I also instructed the diagnosis team of Wesley chapel Hyundai to keep my battery unplugged due to the parasitical drain in order to protect the battery from being dead celled and now I have to replace the battery as well. They also illegally opened a mailed box I had in my car with a part I bought prior to the recall being mailed out which I never took out of the box nor did I open the box and it was fully sealed which is a federal crime. I opened a case in which Hyundai denied helping with this faulty service and are refusing to provide me documents Case no. 41355389.Read more

I bought my 2024 Hyundai Palisade new in May of 2024 because of the safety features and impeccable safety ratings. Since purchasing this vehicle, I’ve had multiple instances of the brakes not engaging when I’m driving on uneven terrain, the most recent event was today while my young daughter was in the car. I live in a fairly rural area and frequently drive over railroad tracks as part of my d
... aily commute. I’ve been driving for 20 years and NEVER had a car that had a braking issue. I’ve almost rear ended multiple people because of this. When crossing the railroad tracks, if all four wheels are not on flat ground the brakes will not engage. The car lurches forward and it will take double or triple the distance to stop the vehicle. It doesn’t do it every time, and has done it going as slow as 12 mph. There is currently a class action lawsuit filed in NY and OH that states Hyundai was aware of this issue during production and failed to tell anyone. I paid over 60k for this vehicle and Hyundai of Gainesville Ga is refusing to help me stating they don’t know of anyone having this issue and cannot replicate it. I’m going to end up rear ending someone because no one will hold Hyundai accountable. Please please help me. I have a little one to keep safe!Read more

The vehicle one-pedal driving was enabled. Weather was sunny with no wind or rain. Suddenly, the vehicle started vibrating violently and started rolling into the intersection. My vehicle had come to a compete stop in the roadway and I attempted to accelerate through the intersection but the vehicle would not move. I recycled the power to the vehicle and placed the vehicle into drive and proceeded to drive through the intersection. I do recall that when I was pressing the brake pedal, the vibration felt somewhat similar to vibration of the ABS brake system when the tires are losing traction but the vibration was much more pronounced. I pulled the vehicle onto the side of the road and checked the driver information display. A "Service ESC" notification appeared on the driver information panel followed by "One-Pedal Driving Unavailable Use Brake for Stopping". No other warnings or notifications were observed after this incident and the vehicle seems to be driving normally. I was able to re-enable the one-pedal driving mode the next morning.Read more

There was a recall in 2019 (NHTSA Recall No. 19V645000) on certain GM vehicles for vacuum pump failure, which could affect braking and engine performance. During this time my car did not have brakes and put me and surrounding vehicles in a very dangerous situation. The mechanic gave me the broken part to show the dealership. The dealership said there isn’t anything they can do for assistance as I am out of warranty. I have a 2.7l V6 Bronco with an automatic transmission. There is a steep downhill road (22% grade) a couple blocks from my house that ends at a stop sign for a major cross street. I apply the brake pedal to slow down for the stop sign and the Bronco behaves normally and comes to a full stop, but then with no change in brake pedal pressure by me nor any pedal feedback, i notice the Bronco starts cr
... eeping forward a few feet, then abruptly stops again. When the Bronco starts creeping downhill and then abruptly stops again, there is no brake pedal feedback or movement, and the engine does not change RPM. The only sound I hear is something that sounds like service brakes releasing pressure then suddenly reapplying full pressure. I compensate by stopping early, so I don’t drift into the intersection, or a vehicle in front of me, or pedestrian. It can startle any pedestrian that starts to cross in front of my “stopped” Bronco and it suddenly starts creeping down on them. I have noticed this for months but have not taken it to a dealer for resolution yet. The problem appears to not happen after I have been driving for a few minutes. Was able to pull into a driveway and take photos of some of the messages. One said service traction control, one said service ASC, and one said ‘brake assist fail, press hard to brake, speed reduced. After restar
... ting car all was normal. 8/11/25. Sitting in some morning traffic and all the same messages came up and brakes were soft again. Was able to keep some distance between myself and other cars until I could get off the road. Immediately made an appointment for dealership service. After restarting car, all was normal again. Took car to dealership at appointed time and they kept it for a week and only did test drives to try and recreate problem. When they couldn’t they returned the vehicle to me with nothing done but clearing codes and checking for updates. This is unacceptable. I am hauling my precious grandchildren in a brand new vehicle that could have a braking failure at any time. Obviously braking failures can cost lives. There is a GM service bulletin for this exact problem in December 2024 (N242482170) requesting the master cylinder should be replaced. This service bulletin doesn’t extend to the 2025 Traverse model and it should as the problems are exactly the same. I hope this can be resolved. I’m very uneasy driving now and just keep wondering when this will happen again and how bad it could be.Read more

The parking brake issue per recall was supposedly done based on information from safetycar. Vehicle can not be shut off unless in park. I'm assuming a safety feature. A few times when I attempted to shut off, even though clearly in park. Truck wouldn't do so. I shifted back into gear and then back into park with foot on brake as required. Unless I have a horse trailer hooked up, I usually don't e
... ngage parking brake if on relatively flat surface. Last week I came out to find my truck still in park had rolled forward and got caught on a large boulder before potentially rolling all the way down into a creek and pond. The boulder did do undercarriage damage mostly to brackets for bumper and spoiler. When I got in truck IT WAS STILL IN PARK. Truck started without me stepping on brake as required. Then after it started,I couldn't put it into gear. Was like shifter was locked. I tried to shut it off it wouldn't shutoff until I applied brake. I started it again with foot on brake and then I was able to shift into reverse and drive. Something is definitely wrong with the park on truck. It rolls forward now a few inches when parked and shut off in park. It will start sometimes without foot on brake and sometimes not. Since it rolled and hit rock steering feels weird. Prior to vehicle rolling and the bogus drag link fix, I have gone through tires because you can't do a full alignment. Dealership claims there's no new fix. They just won't do it right. Just like park brake issue it's not fixed right. Dealerships also claim they know nothing about a new issue and another fix. There are kids around horse farm truck coming out of gear, even though it said park, could have been a fatal accident. This truck has turned into a death trap waiting to happen and Stellantis and FCA won't acknowledge. I have to pay for a fix when it's their issue. THE 67A update has cost me over $12,000 already. THIS TRUCK SHOULD BE BOUGHT BACK BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED. PARK BRAKE APPLIED ALWAYS.Read more

I purchased my vehicle approximately 8 months ago, and recently all of the warning lights on my dashboard began coming on randomly while driving. I immediately brought the vehicle back to the dealership where I purchased it. At that visit, I was told the cause was unknown and that it might possibly be related to the battery. Unsatisfied with that explanation, I took the car to a second authorized
... dealership for another opinion. After inspection, I was advised that there was nothing wrong with the battery and no clear cause was identified for the warning lights. Despite taking the car to two dealerships, I have received no resolution or effective support. The issue remains ongoing, and I am now left uncertain about the reliability of my vehicle. Warning lights are designed to alert drivers to serious problems, and when they come on without explanation, it creates a very real safety concern. I do not know if my car is safe to drive. My concern is heightened by the fact that I have since learned this vehicle model has been subject to a recall in the past for the same issue. This raises the possibility that my car may be experiencing a known defect that was not properly resolved. As a consumer and driver, I should not be left to guess about the safety of my vehicle, especially when a documented recall exists. I am formally requesting immediate assistance: a complete inspection by a qualified technician, confirmation of whether my car is covered by any recall, and repair of the defect at no cost if it is recall-related. I also request written documentation of findings and assurance that my vehicle is safe to operate. At this point, I feel I have not been provided with adequate support or resolution. I am extremely concerned for my safety and believe this matter requires urgent attention.Read more

Antilock brake system module failure. The system controls the anti-locking brake system as well as vehicle stability control, both federally mandated for this year vehicle. The ABS, stability control, and brake lights are illuminated on the dash. The message “service antilock brake system” is displayed on the message center as well as “service electronic braking system” The part is not ava
... ilable for inspection at this time as it is still on the vehicle and cannot be removed without causing complete failure of the braking system. The vehicle is still being driven as there is no other option at this time. Failure of the system puts anyone operating the vehicle in danger due to the ABS & Stability systems being inoperable. Failure confirmed by independent auto repair technician. ABS system reset and re-initialize without resolution of the issue. The part has not been inspected by the dealership who did not wish to inspect it as it was known issue. No accidents involved with my vehicle due to this as yet. The system failed in November 2023. I contacting the Ram dealer to replace the part and I was informed there were no modules available because it was on “Engineering Hold”. This was explained that the part had to be redesigned due to a continuous failure/problem. I was told it would be available in March 2024. Re-contacted the dealership in March 2024 and was advised it would not be until after June or July. The Part became available sometime after August 2024. However, due to the backlog of vehicles the dealership had to repair, none were available clear into 2025. As I understand, this is a widespread problem that has affected 10’s to 100’s of thousands of vehicles. Part numbers 68295368AA & 68295368AB with the redesigned part being 68295368AC. I also understand that this part has failed on the Durango, Charger, and Challenger vehicles as well.Read more

I own a 2012 Toyota Prius C with approximately 156,578 miles. The vehicle has been diagnosed with C1391 – Abnormal Leak in Accumulator, which causes the brake actuator to lose hydraulic pressure. This results in frequent buzzing from the actuator pump, illuminated warning lights (BRAKE, ABS, Traction Control), and loss of ABS and stability control. The condition increases stopping distance and c
... reates a serious safety hazard. Toyota previously acknowledged this exact defect under Customer Support Program CSP 21TE01, which covered brake booster and pump assemblies for certain Prius and Prius C models when codes such as C1391 were present. However, the program expired on November 30, 2022, and my vehicle is just over the 150,000-mile coverage limit. Despite this, my Prius exhibits the same defect that Toyota has already recognized as a safety-related issue. Toyota Carlsbad confirmed the diagnosis and quoted $3,399.55 plus tax for repair, with a reduced courtesy estimate of $2,817.86 plus tax, but declined goodwill assistance since CSP 21TE01 expired. Given the widespread reports of brake actuator failures in Prius models, I believe this represents a systemic safety issue that warrants NHTSA investigation and potential recall/extended coverage.Read more

When going on uneven terrain then trying to brake the ABS kicks in and makes the brakes unusable. I’ve almost hit the car ahead of me several times now. I have taken the car to the dealership and they cannot duplicate the problem.

This truck was purchased May 2025 and currently has 2600 miles. Without any warning the brake light and ABS warning lights came on along with messages reading Brake Assist,ESC, and Trailer Brake require service. I took my truck in to a Chevrolet dealer on Aug 18, 2025 for inspection of issue. I was informed the Master Cylinder has failed and because this was a “SAFETY” issue I could not take d
... rive my truck and they would not allow me to remove the vehicle from their lot. I understand there has been many people with this same issue. Why has a recall not been issued? Why is Chevrolet still selling these trucks? This needs to be addressed ASAP to save lives.Read more
