I have had shifting issues with the transmission since 2 months into having this vehicle I have been reporting it to the dealership who has told me consistently that jerking grinding and loud noises are totally normal then the recall came out for these specific issues in the 2017 Silverados though my VIN is not listed but I still haven't always have had the very same problems stated in the recall

2019 F150 10 speed automatic transmission needed repairs for hard shifting at 45k miles, and a complete rebuild at 85k for major failure.

Purchased a brand new 2017 Toyota Highlander XLE 9 years ago. I followed all recommended maintenance and service schedules from the manufacturer. There has always been a faint whine noise present during acceleration. In December of 2023 and about 112,000 miles the transmission began to slip in gears 3 and 4. I brought the vehicle into Balise Toyota in West Springfield, MA for diagnostic services.
... It was determined that my automatic transmission was failing and needed replacement. Luckily I had purchased an extended warranty through All State and the repairs were covered under warranty. The cost of this repair was upwards of $9,000, so at the time I felt extremely fortunate. That was 2 years ago but my luck would only last so much. Since the remanufacturered transmission was installed by Toyota there has always been a faint whine noise during acceleration. I summed it up to a bad serpentine belt, pulley or alternator because how could it be the new transmission that had been installed? There is only 37,000 driven miles on it and you would expect it to last much longer. Well expectations are just that, expectations. The reality is I am now back to square one because my transmission is beginning to fail yet again. I experienced the transmission slip between 3rd and 4th gears twice on my way home from work yesterday. I set up an appointment at Balise Toyota in West Springfield, MA for tomorrow 03-29-26. My question is how can an 8 1/2 year old vehicle with 150,000 miles on it be in need of a third transmission? The answer is because of defective manufacturing and engineering. There are several class action lawsuits that have been filed in as many months due to the UA80 transmission found in Toyota Highlanders 2017 - present. There are documented claims that Toyota knowingly installed defective UA80 transmissions into these vehicles.Read more

I bought the car at the dealership with 50,000 miles on it and purchased an extended warranty as well. I drive for a living with this car and after a few months noticed it would rev high before shifting. When I brought it back to the dealership they did something to it but did not say what. It smelled like they put catalyst cleaner in it though not confirmed. I then had the issue again and the car
... smelled like burning rubber. I took it to a honda dealership and had the transmission fluid as well as the rear differential fluid changed but they did could not find any issues. Now that my warranty has run out and I have over 150,000 I had a tire shop where I was buying new tires inform me that the rear differential carrier bracket bushings were in need of being replaced as soon as possible. I could not afford for them to do it for me. I have researched online and have found this very well could have been the problem with the shifting and rubber smell the entire time. My car was under warranty and now it is not. Why is Honda not replacing this to prevent even bigger failure and repair issues. My son owns a 2019 Honda C RV as well and he says his car is experiencing the exact same issue.Read more

I am reporting a potential safety-related defect in my 2025 Mazda CX-50 Preferred, which is approximately four months old. On one occasion, the vehicle moved backward while in Drive mode. This occurred twice on the same day under similar conditions on a slight incline. After starting the vehicle, I shifted into Drive and applied acceleration; however, the vehicle moved backward instead of forward
... . The rearward motion continued despite active acceleration input. This behavior is not consistent with normal rollback on an incline. The continued backward movement under acceleration indicates a possible issue with transmission engagement, gear recognition, or electronic control systems. I reported the issue to an authorized Mazda dealer. I was informed that shifting the gear too quickly may cause a delay in system response, resulting in the vehicle behaving as though still in Reverse. I consider this explanation unacceptable for a modern automatic vehicle and indicative of a potential defect. This condition presents a safety risk. Unintended rearward movement while in Drive could lead to collisions, especially in situations involving other vehicles, pedestrians, or objects behind the vehicle. Although the issue has not reoccurred since that day, the intermittent nature raises concern about reliability and the potential for recurrence without warning. I request that this issue be investigated as a potential safety defect.Read more

My 2016 Hyundai Genesis started flashing a code stating “Check PSB” only a week after buying the car. PSB means Pre-active Seat Belt. The seat belts somehow interlink with the fuel pump. My car has a faulty fuel pump module, causing the PSB warning to flash, even when the vehicle is in motion. It also causes a loud humming coming from the rear of my car, as I accelerate. I’ve done research,
... and it says MANY owners of the same vehicle report the faulty fuel pump module as the culprit, causing the Check PSB. As well as many owners online stating their vehicle has done the same as mine. There is active recalls on the newer years for this issue, such as the 2023. When the same issue is reported multiple times on the 2016s too, there should be a recall. This is a common issue, & quite frankly a dangerous one. If the fuel pump module is miscommunicating with the seat belts, that could cause them to not react in a collision. I have my vehicle scheduled to be serviced in a few days.Read more

Summary of Incident: On March 28, 2026, while traveling at 70 MPH on the Florida Turnpike, the vehicle suffered an instantaneous loss of motive power. The engine died abruptly with no warning. Upon reaching the shoulder, the electronic transmission locked, refusing to shift into Neutral or Park. The engine cranks but will not start. 1. Component Failure & Availability: The exact component is curr
... ently unknown, but the failure involves the Powertrain, Fuel System, and Electronic Transmission Control. The vehicle is currently at an authorized dealership and is available for inspection by the manufacturer or NHTSA upon request. 2. Safety Risk: The sudden loss of power at highway speeds created an immediate risk of a rear-end collision. Because the electronic transmission locked and would not allow the vehicle to be shifted into Neutral, it became a fixed object on a high-speed shoulder. It could not be pushed to a safer location, increasing the risk of a secondary accident. 3. Problem Reproduction: The vehicle was towed directly to an authorized Chevrolet dealership. As of this filing, the dealership is in possession of the vehicle, but the failure has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a technician as they are awaiting formal diagnostic commencement. 4. Inspections: The vehicle was inspected by a roadside towing professional for transport. It is currently at the manufacturer’s authorized service center awaiting a formal diagnostic inspection. No police or insurance inspections have occurred. 5. Warning Symptoms: There were no warning lamps, "Check Engine" lights, or messages prior to the failure. No symptoms like rough idling or unusual noises occurred. The vehicle performed normally until the moment of total power loss.Read more

The component that has malfunctioned is the hybrid inverter assembly, a loose internal bolt within the hybrid propulsion system. This vehicle is currently held at Fred Haas Toyota Country (Houston, TX) and is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of the public are at risk because, as stated by the recall notice given on December 16 2025, this defect involves a bolt in the
... hybrid powertrain that "can become loose and could lead to a loss of motive power or could lead to a fire when the vehicle is on." The safety risk was confirmed by Fred Haas Toyota on March 6, 2026 and while there is no formal "Stop Drive" order, the dealership agreed to ground the vehicle and lend me a rental. As of today, March 28, 2026 there is still no remedy despite Toyota saying they "estimate the remedy can be available in the 1st quarter of 2026." Since my vehicle is currently in possession of the dealership, I am not sure if they have inspected it. Before I gave my car to Fred Haas Toyota Country I did not see any warning lights or messages, but the risk was still there (NHTSA 25V869000). My vehicle has been out of service for 22 days with no estimate repair date or remedy announced and the manufacturer has failed to provide a comparable loaner and has been unresponsive to my calls and messages. On February 23, 2026, while driving my 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV home from Folsom Chevrolet following a prior repair visit, the “Service Park Assist System” warning illuminated, first intermittently, then after a few miles, continuously for the remainder of the 11-mile drive home. During the same drive, while reversing with no objects present behind or around the vehicle, the automatic emergen
... cy braking system activated and applied the brakes with significant force without cause. The vehicle was returned to Folsom Chevrolet (Repair Order #559378, opened February 23, 2026). Diagnostic code U1126 was found — indicating the left rear short range radar sensor had lost communication on CAN Bus 8. The sensor module was on national backorder, keeping the vehicle out of service for approximately two weeks. The module was replaced and programmed on March 7, 2026. Safety concern: Unexpected activation of automatic emergency braking with no objects present creates a serious collision risk from following traffic. This failure occurred on public roads during normal driving. Additionally, the U1126 CAN bus communication fault is the same vehicle communication architecture implicated in the battery/electrical failure documented in Repair Orders #558923 and #559167, suggesting these failures share a common root cause in the vehicle’s electrical communication network rather than representing isolated component failures.Read more

Incident Date: February 10, 2026 Mileage: 1,260 On the morning of February 10, 2026, my 2026 Chevrolet Equinox EV (1,260 miles) would not start. ... lly tow from my garage, as the front wheels were locked and could not roll freely. AAA and I measured the 12V battery at 11.8 volts. AAA technician made attempt to jump 12 volt battery with no success. He made the observation that it was very rare for an EV not to start once the 12 volt battery was jumped. The vehicle was towed to Folsom Chevrolet (Repair Order #558923, opened February 10, 2026). The technician performed a global reset, BECM reprogramming, standalone radio programming, and a manual reset procedure. The repair order was closed with “confirmed no further concerns,” however the root cause — identified in the repair notes as a possible HV module communication fault — was never confirmed diagnosed or repaired. Seven days later (February 17, 2026, RO #559167), the vehicle returned to the dealer with overnight 12V voltage loss, starting at 12.12V and continuing to drop. A parasitic draw test found an 11mA draw. After a second overnight test the dealer closed the repair order as “no concerns found” without identifying or repairing a root cause. Safety concern: A vehicle that cannot be started, cannot be charged, and cannot be placed in neutral poses a serious safety risk — particularly if such a failure occurs on a roadway rather than in a driveway. The inability to shift to neutral prevents the driver from clearing the vehicle from traffic. The root cause of this dual electrical failure has never been confirmed repaired despite two repair attempts.Read more

Vehicle: 2022 Audi Q5 VIN: [XXX] Current Mileage: 60,221 DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM: I am filing this complaint regarding a recurring all-wheel-drive (AWD) system defect on my 2022 Audi Q5 that has persisted despite a prior repair performed under the factory warranty. SYMPTOMS: I have been experiencing the following symptoms primarily during tight turns, U-turns, and low-speed maneuvering such as
... in parking lots: - Jerking and lurching of the vehicle during turns - Grinding and clunking noises from the drivetrain during turns - Vibrations felt through the vehicle during turns - Symptoms occur at both low speeds and highway speeds REPAIR HISTORY: Approximately 1.5 years ago, while my vehicle was still under the Audi factory warranty, I brought my vehicle to an authorized Audi dealership for the exact same symptoms. The dealer performed an AWD fluid drain and refill per Audi Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #2059057, which specifically addresses AWD clutch noise and vibration during turns on 2021-2023 Audi Q5 models. The dealer indicated the issue was resolved. RECURRENCE: The identical symptoms have since returned. My vehicle is now out of its factory warranty period. The dealer has not provided a permanent fix despite following the manufacturer's own TSB procedure. The repair performed under warranty has clearly failed to resolve the underlying defect. SAFETY CONCERN: The jerking and loss of smooth drivetrain control during turns, particularly at low speeds in parking lots and during U-turns, represents a safety hazard as it affects the driver's ability to maintain predictable vehicle control. This issue is especially dangerous in situations requiring precise maneuvering such as parking, merging, and navigating tight spaces. ADDITIONAL NOTES: - Audi TSB #2059057 acknowledges this as a known defect affecting 2021-2023 Q5 models - The same repair has failed to provide a lasting fix - Multiple owners of 2021-2023 Audi Q5 vehicles have reported identical INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIORead more

This issue is a known issue according to T-SB-0008-21, and there are many people online who seemed to have encountered this issue even beyond the warranty limits of 5 years/60,000 miles. Even my local AAMCO tells me that this is a dreaded and known issue of past customers. This issue first appeared around the 60,000 miles of distance traveled. There is no warning for this problem. You just have to be fortunate enough to discover the noise before the warranty deadlines. I discovered the noise at around 58,000 miles around June 2025, but I didn't know it was an issue back then. Had I known about this, I would've still qualified for the warranty. This noise has been reproduced and confirmed by my local Toyota dealership, and they're quoting me $11,506.53 to fix this issue. Other 3rd party transmission shops are quoting me ~$6,000. I'm frankly frustrated that Toyota did not issue a recall for this known issue that I did not cause. This created a risk of stalling in traffic or being unable to accelerate when needed, increasing the potential for a collision, especially in busy or high-speed driving conditions. Yes, the issue was diagnosed and confirmed by the dealership. They identified the failed slave cylinder and verified that brake fluid leakage caused contamination of the clutch, requiring replacement of both components. The vehicle has been inspected by a service technician/mechanic at the Toyota dealership. Prior to the failure, there were no warning lights or dashboard messages indicating a problem. The issue appeared suddenly when the clutch began to malfunction due to the fluid leak causing me to not be able to shift gears and the clutch pedal not returning.Read more

On 11/19/2025, while operating my 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid, I experienced a sudden and total loss of power while the vehicle was in motion. Despite pressing the accelerator, the vehicle failed to respond. I noticed the 'READY' indicator disappeared on the dashboard, signifying a powertrain system shutdown. This caused me to lose control of the vehicle's speed and positioning, resulting in a collis

Upon acceleration, the front end vibrates heavily. light pedal depression it isn't quite as noticeable. But medium pressure to gas peddle & it feels like the whole underneath of the engine/ maybe front axle is about to fall apart. the harder the acceleration, the more intense the shaking/vibrating is.

I have a 2024 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss that needs an Upper Radiator Coolant Hose. But apparently this is on nationwide backorder because although there is not a recall GM put a bulletin out they are aware of the issue that appears to be a degraded seal inside hose fitting so the whole hose needs replacing. I live in [XXX] and it is not available here and I have called OH, [XXX] , [XXX] and othe
... r state dealerships and Noone will sell that part because of the backorder. My truck has 40k miles. And every dealer I called this is a huge issue with these trucks. So it is not a wear issue when it is on nationwide backorder and it'll take 1-2 weeks +/- to get. My warranty won't cover as they say it is a wear part and no recall. So how can there be no recall on a nationwide issue with these trucks. My truck cant be driven right now due to check engine light, low coolant, leaking hose, fan blowing high, no heat and this is all related to this backordered part. Someone told me to report this issue so that is what I am doing now. Again this should be an active recall. After about six months of ownership, a knocking noise started happening from the front of the vehicle when turning the wheel all of the way to the right. A month or so later I brought it to a Mazda dealership in Green Brook, NJ. I was told by the service advisor that she had the same vehicle and was advised that this was normal. She explained everything exactly as I had experienced it. She tol
... d me I could wait in the dealership for 3/4 hours, but the technicians would most likely just tell me the same. Over time, the suspension deteriorated. Bumps felt more and more noticeable and a lot of noise inside the cabin. Specifically, a lot of vibrating on the right side of the vehicle: windows, front passenger seat, and the trunk window. Looking over the internet, it seems like this problem is apparent in multiple vehicle years, but never properly addressed via a recall: [XXX] . The vehicle is currently in Sansone Mazda in [XXX] . They replaced the right CV and the problem did not go away. I was told they would have to contact Mazda corporate. They did and I was then advised that they would need to replace the left CV axel, as well. Not surprisingly based on the frequency of this issue, that part was unavailable and on back order. I don't know how long I'll be without my car at this point. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
