My Jeep Wrangler 4xe now has controlled/limited electric propulsion while driving in electric only mode after 68c recall was performed. With no warning while driving in electric only mode, my vehicle will not accelerate without accelerator press almost to the floor to activate the internal gas engine. This behavior on a cold run starts out fine, but as the vehicle(electrical system) warms, the l
... imitations come on strong can catch the driver completely off guard if needing to accelerate quickly to merge into traffic or enter freeway on ramps. This erratic behavior is both dangerous to the driver along with other drivers on the road. My dealer has driven the vehicle on a short(in town) test drive and concluded the vehicle drives as intended by the manufacture. No warning are lamps visible, and as outside temps rise, this issue seems to be more apparent. This electrical behavior started the day I received my vehicle from the dealer after 68c recall was performed. The software that is now installed on these 4xe vehicles seem to be limiting/cutting the electrical output of the onboard high voltage battery to limit or eliminate heat stress on the internal battery known to catch fire and burn under heavy load. This creates a safety hazard to owners who drive these vehicles that basically stall out(no acceleration/dead pedal) without warning given to the operator prior to the software limiting the battery output to the vehicle drive train at will. When this occurs the electrical boost gauge on the 4xe dash will not rise above 25% no matter how far down you push the accelerator pedal, where normally(when not limited by software) the gauge can reach 100% during the electrical acceleration process.Read more

I am submitting a complaint regarding a serious engine failure in my 2022 GMC Yukon XL equipped with the 5.3L engine (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle has experienced a complete failure of the lifters and camshaft. Prior to the failure, there were noticeable engine performance issues, including abnormal ticking noises, rough operation, and loss of power. The condition worsened rapidly, ultimately resulti
... ng in the engine becoming inoperable. This failure presents a significant safety concern, as the sudden loss of engine performance or power could occur while driving at speed, increasing the risk of a crash. The vehicle is currently not drivable and requires extensive engine repair or replacement. Given the severity of this issue and the potential safety risks, I am requesting that this complaint be formally investigated. I understand that similar issues have been reported in vehicles with this engine, and I believe this may indicate a broader defect affecting reliability and safety. To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report a serious mechanical issue involving the transfer case on my 2022 Toyota Highlander. This problem raises concerns regarding the safety, reliability, and overall performance of the vehicle. While driving, I began hearing a grinding noise coming from the vehicle. Concerned, I brought the vehicle to an authorized dealership for a diag
... nostic inspection. I was informed that there is a transmission-related issue and that the vehicle requires a transfer case replacement. At the time of diagnosis, the vehicle had approximately 77,000 miles and has been primarily driven locally under normal conditions. This type of major drivetrain failure at such mileage is unexpected and concerning, especially given that the vehicle has been properly maintained. The failure of a critical component such as the transfer case can significantly affect vehicle control and drivability, posing a potential safety risk. This raises concerns about a possible defect in the drivetrain system or a broader issue affecting similar vehicles. I respectfully request that this matter be investigated to determine whether this is an isolated incident or part of a wider pattern. If necessary, appropriate corrective actions should be taken to ensure consumer safety. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I am available to provide any additional documentation, including service records and diagnostic reports, upon request.Read more

I am filing a safety complaint regarding a sudden and complete loss of power event while driving my 2021 Land Rover Discovery. The vehicle experienced a DC-DC converter failure with no warning, resulting in a sudden shutdown. The engine lost power, critical systems went offline, and I was unable to shift the vehicle into neutral. The vehicle became immobilized in active traffic, creating a dangero
... us situation. This incident occurred without warning and left me with no ability to safely move the vehicle out of traffic or rely on normal emergency functions. This presents a serious safety hazard to both the driver and others on the road. The vehicle has been at the dealership since mid-January 2026. The dealer has stated that the DC-DC failure caused additional component failures. However, no root cause has been identified beyond “internal failure,” and I have not been provided confirmation that the system has been properly tested or that the issue will not recur. I am concerned that this failure can cause cascading electrical issues, including loss of the 12V system, impacting multiple critical vehicle functions at once. The lack of a clear diagnosis and verified repair raises concerns about reliability and safety. Given the sudden loss of power, inability to move the vehicle, and absence of a confirmed root cause or validated repair, I am formally requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration open a defect investigation into the MHEV/DC-DC system. This failure creates a significant safety risk, including vehicles becoming immobilized in active traffic without warning. The risk of recurrence without a defined cause is especially concerning and may indicate a broader issue.Read more

I have a car covered by the Theta II Settlement. Engine, fuel system. Metal shavings found in oil and oil is diluted with fuel and oil if overfilled 1 inch above full mark on dipstick upon pickup from dealership. The vehicle is available for inspection at my residence; however, it is currently grounded as a known safety hazard. The vehicle is exhibiting symptoms of imminent engine failure (audible
... knocking, P0011 code, and oil dilution). Despite being shown evidence of this(photo and video of oil overfill and watery viscosity) , the manufacturer instructed me to continue operating the vehicle, placing myself, and other drivers at risk of a high-speed collision or vehicle fire. The symptoms (P0011 code and engine noise) were confirmed by an independent mechanic on March 25th 2026. However, during the official Bearing Clearance Test (BCT), the dealership intentionally overfilled the engine oil by 3 quarts (documented via photograph) to muffle mechanical noise and artificially pass the diagnostic and issued a pass on all inspections despite the oil hazard. Hyundai Corporate Case Manager Nikulmar Dhabi has admitted on record that the dealer was out of compliance by "being outside the standard notification time" yet they refuse to provide a safety-compliant remedy. Warning Symptoms & Appearance: Symptoms first appeared months ago when I repeatedly got a P0011 code, however On march 24th 2026 I received an engine light with a P0011 and the car going into limp mode while i drove. I am submitting this complaint regarding a 2021 Subaru Ascent that I purchased new from Herb Gordon Subaru in Maryland. The incident occurred while driving on I-95 at approximately 75 mph with my family, including children, in the vehicle. The vehicle experienced a sudden and complete powertrain failure without any prior warning indicators. This created an immediate and serious safety risk on a bu
... sy highway. Fortunately, we were able to safely maneuver the vehicle out of traffic and avoid a collision. Prior to this incident, the vehicle had undergone regular maintenance, and there were no indications of any imminent powertrain failure. While a routine fluid service had been recommended, it was not presented as urgent and was planned to be completed at a later time. Following the incident, I conducted further research and learned that the vehicle had previously been subject to a manufacturer recall involving engine harness/ECM-related issues, which had been completed prior to the sale. This material information was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase and only came to my attention after the failure occurred. Had I been informed of this recall history at the time of purchase, it would have reasonably influenced my decision-making, and I would have reconsidered or sought further clarification before proceeding. The estimated repair cost is approximately $11,000. Subaru of America has offered $2,000 in goodwill assistance, which I consider inadequate given the severity of the failure and the associated safety concerns. This matter raises concerns regarding non-disclosure of material recall history at the time of sale, potential underlying defect, and possible breach of the implied warranty of merchantability. While driving in the fast lane on the interstate at highway speeds, my 2018 Ford F-150 with a 10-speed (10R80) transmission experienced a sudden hard jerk followed by erratic shifting. The vehicle began shifting unpredictably, including harsh downshifting behavior that caused rapid deceleration. At the same time, the transmission temperature began increasing rapidly, and the truck started overhea
... ting. We were forced to quickly move out of the fast lane to avoid traffic and pull over due to safety concerns. This occurred at night on a sketchy exit, approximately four hours from home. We had to wait for help and ended up calling 911 because the situation felt unsafe. We were stranded and had to stay in a hotel. There was no clear warning before this happened. The condition worsened quickly to the point the vehicle could not be safely driven. This created a serious safety risk due to sudden hard jerking, rapid deceleration, overheating, and the need to immediately exit the fast lane, increasing the risk of collision and loss of control at highway speeds. The vehicle previously received a PCM reprogramming update related to transmission performance based on manufacturer service guidance. Despite this, the failure still occurred suddenly and without warning. There have been reports of updated internal components in newer versions of this transmission, suggesting that improvements have been made over time. This issue appears consistent with other reports of sudden downshifting and unsafe shifting behavior in Ford F-150 transmissions.Read more
