This vehicle was purchased from toothman and sowers Ford in west Virginia as certified pre owned. It has never run correctly. The transmission has a cdf drum failure which causes it to lurch forward randomly with several near miss accidents. It is completely unsafe to drive. It hangs up on gears and accelerates on its own with no press of the accelerator. Ford says it's $10000 to fix it but
... they know about it, created a tsb and never recalled. These trucks are a hazard and should not be driven until fixed. I don't drive the truck anymore and definitely won't put my toddler in the truck since it lurched and almost wrecked in an intersection. More near misses in that truck because of this failure than I care to keep track of. Now, it sits. It runs and looks pretty, but transmission is garbage and a hazard.Read more

While driving under 35mph vehicle starts to chatter or shudder with a mileage of 52968. Also, while trying to accelerate the vehicle seemed to jump out gear. This could cause a possible accident from following vehicles. The vehicle is set to go to the dealership on 6/10/2026. While there are no visible warning lights illuminated, I believe this to be a safety concern for those driving the vehicle

Gears stopped engaging while driving. After diagnostic, the shop asked me to replace the transmission. The repair shop would have my old transmission after I get the car repaired. I won't have it in my possession. As I was driving on M39 on my way to work, car was making creaking whining noise when changing gears and suddenly, it stopped changing gears in the middle of a fast moving, narrow high

Drive engaged again, which allowed me to take the car to work but once there, reverse stopped engaging completely and there was a significant delay for drive to engage. This is when the warning lights and messages came on. Brighton Ford dealership in Brighton MI has confirmed that there are metal shavings in the transmission and reverse gear no longer engages. I have been asked to replace the transmission My car only gets serviced at Brighton Ford. I was not told about any transmission issues. All the inspections that they performed during routine services did not result in any concerns. I did not notice any transmission issues in my vehicle prior to that morning. All the issues I described above happened for the first time that morning. This issue occurred without any warning or symptoms.Read more

Hi, yes the component is the CV axle on the driver side front wheel. Whenever I make a left turn, the driver side CV axle makes a clicking noise. Also, sometimes, when I make a right turn, especially when going slower, the same drive side front wheel CV makes a clicking noise. It is available for inspection upon request. I am reporting a recurring drivetrain defect in my 2022 Genesis G70 3.3T Sport Prestige AWD (current mileage: 20,000 miles). The vehicle produces a prominent, loud mechanical whining and droning noise specifically when driving within the speed range of 55 mph to 65 mph. The issue is highly load-dependent: the noise significantly intensifies and gets louder when decelerating/coasting down through t
... his speed window without the brakes applied and it is very prominent on smooth roads or highway. The sound distinctly originates from the front front-end/drivetrain area, heavily pointing to an issue with the front axle differential ring/pinion gear mesh or a failing pinion bearing. The manufacturer (Genesis Corporate) and authorized local dealership Genesis of [XXX] have acknowledged hearing the noise but are currently refusing to perform repairs or replace components under the factory powertrain warranty, claiming that because another vehicle of this specification make the same sound, it is a "normal operating characteristic". A severe, loud drivetrain whine that worsens on deceleration indicates mechanical play or improper factory tolerances. Left unaddressed, a failing differential or bearing can bind or fail catastrophically at highway speeds, posing a severe sudden locking hazard and safety risk. I am filing a safety complaint regarding a 2024 Honda Pilot Touring with approximately 46,000 miles. The exact component or system that failed is currently UNKNOWN. On June 7, 2026 around 9:00pm, while the vehicle was in Drive, the vehicle shut off/lost power. This created a serious safety risk because the vehicle was being operated when the shutdown/loss-of-power event occurred. I am concerned this could happen again while driving, including at freeway speeds or while transporting a child. The problem has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by the dealer. The vehicle was taken to a Honda authorized dealership for inspection. The dealership advised that the battery tested fine and that no diagnostic trouble codes were found so far. Diagnostics are still pending, and as of this complaint, no confirmed cause, diagnosis, or repair has been provided. The vehicle has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. American Honda Motor Co. has been contacted, and a case has been opened regarding this concern. Warning lamps/symptoms did occur before the shutdown/loss-of-power event. The vehicle had intermittent multiple warning lights on the dashboard before/around the time of the incident. The warning lights first appeared on or around June 3, 2026. The shutdown/loss-of-power event occurred on or around June 7, 2026. I am reporting a critical safety hazard involving my 2021 Nissan Leaf S Plus (approx. 117,000 miles). Since January 2025, the vehicle has exhibited dangerous battery degradation and voltage sag during operation. On my 30-mile highway commute, while driving at normal highway speeds—especially on inclines—the vehicle would suddenly display a low-power warning, and the remaining battery percentag
... e would instantly crash. This caused a sudden, dangerous loss of propulsion in high-speed traffic, creating severe crash risks. I primarily charged at home and rarely used DC fast charging. On May 22, 2026, while actively driving, the dashboard flashed: "Service EV system unable to restart after power off." I pulled over, and upon turning the car off, it completely bricked. The auxiliary electronics power up, but the vehicle permanently refuses to enter "READY" (Drive) mode due to a high-voltage safety lock. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Nissan dealer. The certified technician's diagnostic report confirmed that the high-voltage traction battery has completely failed and is internally damaged. Crucially, this vehicle is currently under an active, unremedied safety recall (NHTSA Recall 25V655 / Nissan R25C8) due to excessive lithium deposits that cause severe battery degradation, sudden power loss, and fire risks. The physical failure of my battery is a direct manifestation of this exact manufacturing defect. Nissan’s software-only "interim remedy" did not fix the hardware defect; it simply bricked my car after exposing my family to highway propulsion loss. Nissan must be held legally responsible for replacing these defective, recalled battery packs regardless of mileage, as they present a severe, systemic risk of catastrophic failure and traffic accidents.Read more

I am the original owner of a 2024 Toyota Sienna Hybrid (VIN: [XXX]). The vehicle has required two significant engine repairs within the first 57,000 miles of ownership. Both repairs were performed at authorized Toyota dealerships under warranty. INCIDENT 1 — ENGINE REPLACEMENT (10,000 MILES): At approximately 10,000 miles, the engine developed severe knocking. The dealership determined the engin
... e was defective and performed a complete engine replacement under warranty. INCIDENT 2 — OIL LEAK (57,000 MILES): At approximately 57,000 miles, the engine developed an oil leak between the oil pan and the timing belt cover. The dealership repaired the leak under warranty. The dealership informed me that this repair carries only a one-year warranty on the work performed. The fact that the engine required complete replacement at only 10,000 miles indicates a manufacturing defect. The second engine issue at 57,000 miles suggests a pattern of powertrain reliability problems. I contacted the Toyota Brand Engagement Center (Case #XXX) and spoke with both an advocate and a supervisor. Toyota declined to offer any extended powertrain coverage and would only agree to review future issues on a "case-by-case basis." I am concerned about the safety and long-term reliability of this vehicle's powertrain given the recurring nature of these engine failures. A complete engine failure at 10,000 miles on a brand-new vehicle is not normal wear and tear — it is a defect. My 2018 Jeep Compass, with approximately 107,000 miles, has developed symptoms consistent with the oil pump/oil pressure defects reported in other recalled Jeep Compass vehicles. The vehicle frequently struggles to start, runs rough with noticeable vibration, and has displayed an oil pressure warning light. In addition, the vehicle frequently stalls or suddenly loses power/slows while driving. The
... stalling and loss of power have created a serious safety concern because they can occur while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of a crash, especially in traffic or at highway speeds. These symptoms have become recurrent and appear to be worsening over time. The vehicle was evaluated by a Jeep dealership. The dealer scanned the vehicle but did not provide a repair for the underlying issue and instead advised us to continue adding coolant as needed. Despite this, the vehicle continues to exhibit the same dangerous symptoms, including the oil pressure warning light and stalling while driving. I am writing to formally document a serious safety incident involving my 2019 Toyota Camry XSE (VIN: [XXX]) and to express my deep dissatisfaction with the reliability of this vehicle and my experience obtaining support and repairs. On XXX while driving northbound on [XXX] to attend a wedding approximately 90 minutes from my home, my vehicle experienced a sudden and dangerous malfunction while tra
... veling at approximately 70 mph. While operating at highway speed, I pressed the accelerator pedal in an attempt to maintain and increase speed with traffic flow. Although the engine RPMs increased, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The engine appeared to respond to throttle input, but power was not being transferred to the wheels. This unexpected loss of propulsion occurred without warning. The failure created an immediate safety hazard. As my vehicle rapidly lost the ability to keep pace with surrounding traffic, I narrowly avoided being struck by a freight truck traveling behind me. I was forced to coast the vehicle to the shoulder of the interstate while surrounded by highway traffic. This was a frightening experience that placed my safety and the safety of others at risk. After the incident, the vehicle was inspected by a Toyota dealership in Kennesaw, Georgia. I was quickly advised that the transmission was the source of the problem. While I understand that a formal diagnosis may be required to determine the exact cause of the failure, I was surprised to learn that the transmission was believed to have failed. This vehicle has had only one owner and has never exhibited any warning signs, symptoms, or performance issues that would have led me to believe there was a transmission problem. The transmission had not been slipping, hesitating, making unusual noises, or displaying any other indications of impending failure. Given these facts, I find it difficult to understand how a transmission in a Toyota vehicle could suddenly fail. I am reporting a recurring safety hazard involving my 2019 Kia Optima following a repair for diagnostic code P064A (Fuel Pump Control Module). Despite the dealership attempting to repair the fuel system, the vehicle remains in a 'limp mode' state. The P064A code and subsequent 'limp mode' symptoms persist even after professional service.
