I am genuinely concerned about the risk of my 2026 Tesla Y catching fire and/or being trapped inside the vehicle leading to death. In the past 30 days, have seen several accidents in Tesla products leading to fires with people trapped inside ultimately perishing. This includes the North Miami crash on 10/01/2025. No one in my family will travel inside this 2026 Tesla Y due to the fires. They have

While driving, I heard a loud clicking noise from the front driver side wheel, followed by resistance and dragging of something under the vehicle. I did my best to pull over safely, but I could no longer steer the car. The control arm complete broke off of the wheel, and was now almost resting on the street while the tire/wheel was lodged into the wheel well bent sideways.

Ford has released a technical service bulletin for this issue , however they are not being held accountable for the issue at hand that I believe poses a safety issue while driving and could cause other drivers to run into the back of your car. The TSB was posted for a part inside the transmission which is a snap ring that comes dislodged from its groove and causes harsh down shifts between gears.
... This has happened to thousands of owners of these vehicles with a simple internet search. To say a harsh downshift is the issue is putting it mildly. When you are decelerating and the transmission downshifts as it does, It feels as if you slammed on your brakes, however the cars behind you see no brake lights light up to tell them you just slowed down considerably which could cause a pile up accident, especially in rush hour traffic. I feel this is the same type of recall that Ford was made to put out on all the 2011-2014 F150's where the transmission would randomly down shift to first gear on the highway. Ford has major transmission issues that cause safety concerns and I do not feel they are being held accountable on these newer vehicles. Theyve created a TSB on a known issue, yet let people drive around and pose risk of harm to themself or other drivers. Its only a matter of time until the downshift causes a major accident or pile up and people are seriously injured due to Fords negligence. They are aware of the issue and should be held to fix it for the drivers as well as everyone elses safety.Read more

I was driving my 2015 Ford F150 and just pulled into the parking lot. The lights on the dash started going off (airbags, parking detectors, big wrench, etc), however the vehicle driving wasn't affected at that time. I immediately stopped and parked, When I returned to my vehicle it had full power, but wouldn't even attempt to start. I had no choice but to tow it to a nearby Ford dealership in G
... rapevine, TX. It was ultimately diagnosed with a bad "Transmission Lead Harness." The dealership told me that this was a recall item on many F150s, but for some reason, not on mine. I researched this specific issue and found that 2011-2016 models of F150 were affected. It shows an investigation was opened for 2015 models as well. My question is why my specific vehicle is not under a recall. This could be a potentially dangerous issue, i'd think. So, right now I'm looking at a nearly $2000 bill to repair my vehicle when they get the parts in on Friday, 10/10/2025. I believe that if this is a recall on other with the same transmission lead harness, why is mine separated from that. I was given no warning other than the lights going off just before shutting of my truck, then it wouldn't start again. Thankfully I was in a populated area and not in the middle of nowhere. Please advise on any possible what I can get reimbursed for this issue.Read more

When the interior of the car gets hot, the gear select dial will not rotate out of park. This has occurred on 5 separate occasions. This same problem has been reported by several others on the Ford Escape forum.

The transmission was constantly slipping. The check engine warning light was intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the START/STOP accumulator in the cap was missing bolts, which caused the transmission to fail. There is a known transmission issue with some 2021 Toyota Highlanders, Avalons, and Camrys. Toyota Bulletin T-SB-008-21 from February of 2021 states 'Some 2021 model year Avalon, Highlander, and Camry vehicles equipped with UA80E or UA80F transmissions may exhibit a whine or grind noise from the transmission. This condition may be caused by an issue with the front carrier assembly pinion shafts'.
... I have a 2021 Highlander with 127,000 miles that started to show this whine noise. Local transmission shop confirms that a new transmission is needed. I am taking it to a local Toyota Dealer next week to confirm. I started a case online with Toyota USA, and since I'm over Warranty, they started that will not assist with reimbursement. My complaint is how came a recall was not done on this? Why did Toyota do nothing and now many of their customers with these vehicles face costly repairs ($7,000 - $12,000)? Toyota should at least reimburse their customers for some of the cost of the repair needed for this, even if out of warranty.Read more

I’ve heard about some recalls and Technical Service Bulletins related to the transmission, especially the start-stop accumulator bolts possibly missing and some transmission lubrication concerns. I checked my VIN on the NHTSA website, and it shows no open recalls. However, I want to confirm: Whether my vehicle was part of any recall related to the transmission or start-stop accumulator bolts. If
... the recall was completed or if any transmission-related TSBs apply. Whether there are any service campaigns or software updates for the transmission control module that I should be aware of. Start-stop accumulator bolt missing leading to fluid leaks and possible failure, Missing transmission cup plugs causing lubrication issues, Valve body spacer plate replacement and transmission control module reprogramming. I am currently experiencing significant transmission issues including, symptoms like: rough shifting, slipping, hesitation, noises, fluid leaks, loss of power, which are severely affecting the vehicle’s drivability and safety. This vehicle only has 107K miles which only go over 7K from warranty. I am concerned that my vehicle may be affected by one or more of these issues — even if the recall was marked as closed or VIN was excluded in error. Given the volume of known transmission complaints for this model year and my relatively low mileage, I strongly believe this could be part of a broader safety defect that deserves further investigation. Please review this issue for potential inclusion in an investigation or expanded recall campaign. These transmission issues are not only costly but potentially dangerous, especially if they result in sudden loss of propulsion. This transmission issue is seriously impacting my vehicle’s safety and reliability. This matter is urgent due to the impact on vehicle safety and reliability.Read more

The following problems began 5 months ago, 8 months after purchase with about 4770 mileage and current mileage of about 7623: Multiple occurrences of Check Engine light coming on, sometimes setting DTC code, but often not setting code. Multiple occurrences of Crash Warning light coming on; It may have set a code or codes, but usually not. I think neither dealer was able to reproduce these 2 inter
... mittent problems. Engine light, so far, has not occurred since it was traced to faulty connectors. As far as I know, the Crash Warning light has not come on since the dealer reduced front camera sensitivity. Also, for the past 5 months there has been intermittent, engine miss, skipping or cut-out. As of this writing it still occurs while driving and will lurch or buck if it happens under acceleration This is not frequent, but it happens erratically and it may happen only once or a few times in one day or several days between. This has not set a DTC code as far as I know; I think the following may be related to the skipping. Once, while coming to a stop, the engine stopped or almost stopped; it bucked when it happened, but continued to run. All warning lights came on for a second or two, then went off, except 3 warning lights and the warning triangle. Although the engine was running, the tachometer and speedometer read Zero. The engine bucked as I slowly drove into a parking lot, then I restarted the engine; it seemed ok, then. About 3 weeks later, while driving at slow speed, just as I took my foot off the brake and was about to accelerate, the engine quit. When the engine quit, the audible Crash Alarm went off with a message saying the engine was not running, press the start button. I started the engine, it did not have normal power. I stopped, restarted the engine and it seemed ok. I have been to the dealer several times because of these problems; dealer is still troubleshooting the last incident. This could cause an accident, especially if it occurs at a higher speed.Read more

At ~93,000 miles, my 2020 Ford F-550 (7.3L “Godzilla” V8) suffered catastrophic engine failure due to a roller lifter bearing failure, causing internal valvetrain damage and requiring full engine replacement. Ford dealer stated they recommended 90% coverage of the repair under goodwill through corporate, but later reduced coverage to 40% without explanation. After repairs, Ford corporate reco
... mmended a 3-year/36,000-mile PremiumCare warranty, then rescinded it a week later and offered only free oil changes. The 7.3L engine in my truck shares the same design as the F-53/F-59 motorhome chassis, which have multiple Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for lifter bearing failure, overheating of cylinders #2–3, and low oil pressure at idle. My vehicle shows identical symptoms but was excluded from those VIN ranges, suggesting Ford is segmenting related defects to limit recall exposure. Inspection revealed a cracked and arcing spark-plug wire on cylinder #2, matching the motorhome TSB’s overheating issue. This arcing poses a fire risk and likely contributed to localized heat and mechanical failure. The truck was often driven in Eco Mode, which holds low RPMs under load. This can increase cylinder pressure, reduce oil flow, and exacerbate heat in cylinders #2–3—factors that align with the failure pattern. This combination of design-related overheating, lifter bearing failure, oil-pressure fluctuation, and spark-wire arcing presents a clear safety hazard. Engine stall or fire could occur under towing or heavy-load conditions. NHTSA investigation is warranted into Ford’s 7.3L Godzilla engine design and VIN-exclusion practices.Read more

The vehicle is experiencing excessive oil consumption and increasingly severe engine performance symptoms. The oil level drops rapidly between changes, but the loss is not due to external leaks. The engine burns oil internally, causing residue buildup and damage to other components — specifically the intake manifold and catalytic converter, which the dealer has now recommended replacing. These
... issues align with the symptoms addressed in Hyundai Campaign 966 (Engine Monitoring / Knock Sensor Detection System), which is intended to detect early bearing wear and related oil consumption defects. However, the dealership refused to perform the required campaign diagnostics (bearing inspection, KSDS verification, and oil-consumption test) without charging a diagnostic fee. Even though the engine has not yet fully failed or entered limp mode, the excessive oil consumption is already causing secondary damage to emissions and intake components. If left unresolved, this can escalate to engine seizure, catalytic converter overheating, or exhaust-related fires due to unburned oil entering the converter. These are clear safety hazards that can result in loss of power, smoke, or fire while driving. Multiple Hyundai owners have reported identical problems — excessive oil loss, residue damage to emission systems, and dealer refusals to perform Campaign 966 inspections. These patterns indicate a systemic engine defect that leads to downstream component failures, not isolated wear. Replacing the manifold or converter does not correct the root cause, as oil consumption continues after replacement and will likely damage new parts. The dealer’s refusal to perform the manufacturer’s required diagnostics and their attempt to charge for unrelated repairs prevent proper defect identification. This is a serious and ongoing safety issue affecting Hyundai Tucson and other models with the same engine family.Read more

Edge is shuttering on slow takeoff. Dealership said it needs a new torque convertor to fix the problem. Parts and labor 2300.00 and then that might not fix the problem. This is why I purchased a Ford cause I wanted a quality vehicle. Have had nothing but ford's in the past. A recall needs to be done on these vehicles. A 5 year old edge shouldn't need this. I had a mustang that had over 250 thousa
... nd miles on it and it is still going. Please let me know if a recall is being done on this. This is a Ford titanium. ThanksRead more

Exact problem was recalled for same year for 143,000 vehicles but my VIN was not in the recall. I was diving and vehicle made a loud noise and all the sudden stopped accelerating. It was like my car was in neutral. Put my car in park when I stopped and car started rolling backwards like it wasn’t in park. It finally went into park and I shut car off and restarted tried putting in drive again.
... It made a loud grinding noise and would not go in drive still acted like in neutral. Had to have car towed from scene. Looked up transmission issues and saw there was a recall for this exact issue.Read more

Bought the truck brand new. After 8k miles front tires started cupping. Took it in and was told it was simply due to "soft" factory tires. After 17k miles tires were gone and bought a more expensive higher mileage warranty tire. Rotated tires at 7k miles, After about 3k miles same thing happened. Had an alignment done prior to the new tires and was told it was perfect. All signs point to alig
... nment or front end suspension, ball joint or tie rods. After 3 days sitting in the shop I was once again told nothing is wrong, alignment is perfect and it was my fault, either driving habits, not rotating tires every 2500 miles, ect. After picking the truck up and driving less than 20 miles the transmission started slipping. Call the dealership about the concern and they have ceased communication. Was advised to go online for an appointment which is more than 2 weeks out. Upon reviewing the specs for the alignment, it appears they are relying on specs for a standard ram 2500 vs a ram rebel which has a factory lift with different specs. I did question this and was told the alignment is perfect. The dealership takes no responsibility nor any urgency with catastrophic issuesRead more
