This problem was noticed shortly after vehicle was purchased and it could potentially be dangerous; although there has been no accidents yet. After waiting at a light or waiting to make a turn when clear, there is an unusually long or slow response to acceleration. Acceleration pedal would be pressed and car does not move. This is particularly dangerous when making a left turn with oncoming cars.
... Typical response is to step on pedal more to get vehicle to move, but once the car does respond, it would shoot forward. Only happens when car is starting to go from a stop but does not happen everytime. Vehicle is currently about 1000 miles but this has been after shortly after purchase. Vehicle was purchased new with 5 miles on odometer.Read more

Driving through residential area and noticed loud noise from under hood. Went to pull out onto state highway and wasn’t able to get up to speed almost causing an accident because I could not accelerate. Had to maintain speed at or below 40mph. Brought vehicle to dealership and they confirmed that the transmission was shot. Also went to a local transmission repair shop and he stated that he sees

Vehicle has always been well maintained. Just wondering how GM doesn’t have a recall on this particular transmission if there are so many reported problems with it. I was fortunate to be able to pull off of the highway and take back roads to get to the dealership. There was no slipping, no warning signs whatsoever. It just made the loud noise and then boom. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - Not yet; I have been cautious to drive the vehicle since the issue escalated. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - No, the vehicle has remained parked since the issue became much more serious. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - No, the shuddering was vague and seemingly only happened upon acceleration and at low RPM’s when it initially began. It has now progressed to violent shuddering consistently occurring regardless of speed, RPM’s, or acceleration.Read more

I was driving home from work one day on a Monday and my vehicle had a bunch of warning notifications pop up such as pre collision assist not available, blind spot assist not available, etc as well as a wrench icon popped up and stayed on stating to service 4wd. I stopped driving my vehicle until I could get it serviced. I then took my vehicle to ford to get it diagnosed on Friday of the same week
... ford stated they would be able to diagnose it for $150 then repair and labor costs would come after. Well they never looked at my vehicle Friday so they told me to bring it back the next Monday I brought it back they said they would diagnose it a few hours later I received a call stating they “think” it’s my AWD module located under the passenger seat but they would not know if that was the problem until they got under the seat and that would cost me an extra $500 for them to inspect it. From research I have been doing they should have been able to tell me if it was exactly that module or not by plugging a J2534 into the main module and using the FDRS application that all ford dealers use. From more research I have been doing this is a very common problem with 2021 ford broncos concerning the AWD module. The faulty AWD module could be caused from a faulty battery which was a recall on my specific vehicle they stated they tested my battery that day but I’m not sure if they actually did because I tested it at home and it was reading low and I just had that battery replaced by ford in March of 2025. As well a faulty AWD module in a 2021 Bronco Sport could be related to a recall, especially the recall for the powertrain control module (NHTSA Campaign 25S26) which can cause AWD system faults. Additionally, there was a separate, earlier recall (Customer Satisfaction Program 21B19) specifically addressing a faulty transistor in the AWD module itself. My car is was not a candidate for this recall but I believe it is apart of it as well as others who are experiencing this problem.Read more

On [XXX], while driving my 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie at approximately 60 mph on a dark rural road, the truck suddenly stalled without warning. The engine shut off, but all lights and electrical systems initially remained powered. I shifted into Neutral and attempted to restart while coasting, at which point the truck completely lost electrical power — headlights, dash, ignition button, and interior
... lighting all went dead. I initially thought I might have accidentally cycled the ignition button off, but repeated attempts to restart had no response. As I rolled to a stop, the vehicle automatically shifted itself into Park, causing a sudden and violent stop. Once stationary, the truck restarted normally as if nothing had happened. Prior to this event, there were multiple related issues: – On [XXX], the truck would crank but not start for about 30–40 minutes before finally starting normally. – On [XXX], a check engine light appeared during an hour drive to LAX. After parking and restarting, the light disappeared. – On September 29, 2025, I took the truck to Crown Dodge in Ventura County, CA, where a wireless OBD-II scan found no codes. I was advised to return if the problem persisted. – A few months prior, the truck stalled at low speed when pulling forward from a stop in a parking lot. The [XXX] incident was extremely dangerous, leaving me completely unpowered and invisible to oncoming traffic at night. These repeated, escalating failures suggest a serious intermittent electrical or control system defect that could result in a crash or injury. The dealer has not responded to my attempts to contact them on October 13, 2025. I was able to get ahold of their receptionist but get sent to voicemails when transferred. Good afternoon! My car started having issues going in reverse before I received the recall notification. It would nearly stall out and happened a couple times prior to getting the notice. Once I got the notice, I reached out to the dealer to see if anything could be done and was told no, not yet. Now, months later, it has gotten so bad that I am having to leave my house when it's cool (it doesn't
... stall as bad when it's cool out), and park my car in a certain way each day to ensure that I can effectively leave work without my car stalling. What is worse is that now, on hot days, my car semi-stalls, when I am driving on toll roads or back country roads on the way home. It loses power or jerks. I have an hour commute each way and this is NOT okay. Frankly, it is very scary sometimes. I have reached out to the dealership to ask them if it's safe for me to drive my car or if there is something they could do and I am constantly told that there is no solution, I have to wait, and they "legally" cannot tell me that it is safe to drive my car. They offered the option to rent a car, but I would have to pay a minimum of $45 out of pocket, per DAY, and I cannot afford to do that! I am already paying $600 a month for this car, now they want me to pay an additional $1350-$1395 a month just so I can feel safe? This has been going on for roughly 7 months. Who knows how long a "solution" will take. 7 months x $1350 a month = I would be out almost $9500 on TOP OF my car payment with no end in sight. I feel like this is moving at a snails pace. The problem is getting worse and I am getting the run around. No help is being offered to make me feel safe driving this car! They seem annoyed when I ask about it (I have only reached out three times in the last 4 months). The recall even says that it could stall while driving. So, honestly, what is it going to take for me to not die in a crash when my car stops on a high-speed road? Seriously. What can be done?Read more

We purchased a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe from a dealership in Wisconsin in 2022. In 2023, the vehicle’s transmission failed completely at only 128,000 miles. After researching the issue, I discovered that the 6L80E transmission installed in this model year has a long history of mechanical failures, particularly involving the torque converter and internal clutch packs. Numerous consumer complaints rep
... ort identical failures, and GM has issued multiple service bulletins acknowledging related issues but has not initiated a recall. The repair shop diagnosed the problem as a failed torque converter and damaged internal clutch packs. There were no warning signs, one day the transmission functioned normally, and the next day it failed completely. This failure caused significant financial hardship. I paid over $5,000 for a full transmission rebuild using my credit card, resulting in ongoing interest charges and credit impact. I had to perform balance transfers to manage the debt and ease the financial burden. Given the widespread nature of this issue and GM’s acknowledgment of mechanical defects in the 6L80E transmission, I am requesting that GM reimburse repair costs and that regulators investigate the 6L80E’s reliability and safety to determine whether a recall or class action remedy is warranted.Read more
