The Tesla model Y Performance has a tire wear problem that causes uneven wear and creates cupping that occurs within 7500 miles of tire wear. There is also a weird sound even when you have new tires on the vehicle. The noise grows as your speed goes up it is almost painful at 70mph. It is a known issue and Tesla refuses to address the problem even though they are aware of it. This cupping issue cr

There is a known TSB out for 2019 toyota rav4 and some select other years. The issue is a slow speed transmission issue. It is due to a programming issue. At slow speeds, if you try to go from the brake pedal to the gas pedal too quickly, there is a serious lag before power is delivered to the wheels. Which is very dangerous when making specific turns. An example is what happened to my wife and my
... self the other day. We were in a median turning lane, cars were coming, as we were coming to almost a stop, my wife went to apply the gas. There was a serious lag before power was delivered and it almost resulted in a T bone collision. My wife went to apply gas, there was no power for several seconds, which caused her to panic and hit the brakes again. In that process, the power was finally delivered to the wheels and caused the car to pull about halfway into the oncoming traffic before it stopped from her applying the brakes. She then hard to quickly reverse to avoid the collision. The TSB calls for a flash of the TCM and a relearn procedure to be done. Which I am having done today due to the severity of the incident we had. This could have 100% caused a serious or fatal accident. The two dealerships I spoke with severely down played it as an issue. This deserves a investigation and a recall to be sent out. I was never advised of the TSB or anything.Read more

Transmission has lots of issue, clunky shifting, surges, weird noises. Happens every time you drive. Dealer said it was normal but it's not. I've driven plenty of these 10r80s and they didn't have this issue. Engine makes noises that are not on other examples of this engine, my dad has the same truck and had similar issues and had to spend thousands of dollars to fix an engineering defect in the
... cam phasers. Dealer also said these noises were normal while under warranty - I see countless posts on forums saying the same thing then for others, after warranty suddenly its a problem because a retail job pays 30-40% more than a warranty job. Such a scam and you just keep allowing it. There is simply no reason that the 10r80 transmission and 3.5 ecoboost gen 2 engines haven't been recalled yet. Ford has issued updated parts, admitted to engineering issues that caused these issues so why are customers forced to pay to fix engineered issues? They admited fault, they need to make it right for their customers instead of screwing us over.Read more

After having the issue diagnosed by an authorized service center, it has been confirmed that my PTU has failed and needs to be replaced. Upon further research, I discovered that the PTU part is recalled for vehicles manufactured between 2017 and 2019. However, as my vehicle is a 2020 model, it unfortunately falls outside of the recall window. Despite this, it appears that similar PTU failures are
... still occurring in vehicles manufactured in 2020 and beyond, indicating that the issue may not have been fully resolved in later models. I am deeply concerned about the safety implications of this issue, particularly the risk of losing power to the wheels while driving. This could lead to a serious accident, especially in adverse weather conditions or on the highway. As a result, I am requesting that you take immediate action to address this problem. I believe this issue is a design flaw or a defective part that has not been fully resolved, and it is in the best interest of both customer safety and brand reputation to address this matter promptly.Read more

Summary: While driving, the transmission intermittently fails to shift and the truck has locked up and screeched to a complete halt approximately four times, creating a sudden stop/near rear‑end‑collision risk. Details & timeline: First symptoms were around 55,010 miles. On 10/13/2024 the Chevrolet dealer performed “SERVICE TRANSMISSION GM” (fluid & filter), but the condition continued. I
... n April 2025, a shop documented DTC P0700 & P2727 (pressure‑control solenoid), burnt transmission fluid, and clutch material in the pan, and recommended replacing the transmission, transmission cooler, and cooler lines. Earlier, the transmission control module was reprogrammed, and oil cooler lines were replaced, but the truck still intermittently fails to shift while driving. The check engine light has illuminated during some events. Engine safety concern: During the same period the engine oil was found very low/“no oil on dipstick” with no external leaks; an oil‑consumption test was recommended, raising concern about internal engine damage and possible contamination from the transmission failure. Safety impact: The lock‑up / abrupt stop events occurred while the vehicle was in motion at approximately [~speed and road type, e.g., 35–55 mph on city/secondary roads], forcing hard braking by vehicles behind me. This presents a risk of sudden loss of propulsion and crash. Frequency: About four lock‑up events so far; shifting failures are intermittent and ongoing. Current status: Vehicle at ~73,000 miles. A Chevrolet dealer is being asked to perform a factory diagnosis and to submit a manufacturer goodwill/warranty review.Read more

Heard a high pitch whistle sound coming from front right of vehicle when accelerating. Mechanic confirmed it’s a vacuum leak in the intake manifold runner. With the car stopped & the transmission in the Drive or Reverse position with foot off the brake pedal: 1. Pushing the Power button once to turn the car off results in the transmission automatically shifting from Drive or Reverse to Neutral without automatically setting the Parking Brake. 2. If the car's front-end is on a slope pointed up-slo
... pe the car will freely roll backwards. If the car's front-end is pointed down slope the car will freely roll forward. The above sequence is very dangerous when on a steep slope. This problem was first experienced in a Home Depot parking lot that was uneven. Parked with the nose up-slope in a small depression. The Power button was pushed while the transmission was still in the Drive position & the car immediately started rolling backwards. Fortunately, nobody was behind the car. I quickly pushed the brake pedal to stop the rolling. The proper way to shut off the car, of course, is to put the transmission in the Park position first, which automatically engages the Parking brake, confirmed by a light on the manual Parking Brake switch. I also own a 2007 Prius, bout new. That car has a paddle trans lever, Parking Brake & Power switches. The parking brake is all mechanical with a parking brake pedal. Whereas the 2025 RAV4 does NOT have a parking brake pedal -- it has a switch. Pushing the Prius' Power Switch (off) automatically locks the transmission regardless of the trans mode (D, R, N) such that the front wheels lock& the car will not move, regardless of the parking brake setting. Thus, the Prius is intrinsically safe with locked front wheels unable to turn on a slope regardless of the parking brake setting. I discussed this with Toyota & my dealer. The dealer reported another customer had also complained about this problem. Toyota quickly closed my complaint #251006003193 with no explanation stated. See the attached PDF doc.Read more

Jeep dealership documentation dated October 17, 2025, shows the recall was only “inspected” but no repair was completed. Within 30 days of purchase, the check engine light began turning on and off interm
... ittently, and an AutoZone diagnostic (Code P0934 – Hydraulic Pressure Sensor Circuit Low) confirmed a powertrain failure related to the transmission system. The defect affects hydraulic pressure and gear shifting, creating an unsafe driving condition that risks transmission failure while in motion. The issue has been confirmed by both AutoZone and the Jeep dealership but not repaired. Dealer and warranty administrator SilverRock have refused to provide repairs or a loaner vehicle. Both entities were notified that the vehicle is used by a disabled driver and child, and this refusal poses serious safety and accessibility risks. Despite multiple warnings, both companies continue to deny responsibility, violating federal recall obligations under 49 U.S.C. §§ 30118–30120 and creating an ongoing risk of engine/transmission failure while driving. ... ty or the safety of others put at risk The car suddenly stalled while driving on the roadway, creating a dangerous situation. If this had happened on the freeway or in fast-moving traffic, it could have led to a serious accident. Losing power and control of the vehicle at higher speeds poses a major safety risk to both the driver and surrounding vehicles. I was fortunate that the failure occurred on a city street rather than on the freeway. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The Mazda dealership inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the high-pressure fuel pump had failed, which was also verified by the check engine code. This failure caused the stalling and starting issues. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Mazda dealership, which diagnosed and confirmed the high-pressure fuel pump failure. It has not been inspected by police or insurance representatives. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Before the final failure, the car was hesitant to start, and after it stalled, the check engine light appeared. There were no prior warning messages or signs before the car suddenly stalled while driving. Component/system that failed: Engine / Power Train. An indepe
... ndent repair facility performed diagnostics on October 6, 2025, including a compression test. Results confirmed that one cylinder had lost compression due to a failed cylinder head. The mechanic attributed this to excessive oil consumption from defective piston rings, a condition documented in Volvo technical bulletins. Inspection: The vehicle was inspected by an independent service center. Photos and test results are available for inspection upon request. The manufacturer was contacted and denied assistance, citing mileage, despite known oil consumption defects in this engine family. Safety risk: The sudden loss of power at highway speed put the driver and other motorists at risk of collision. With no advance warning, the driver was left stranded on a dangerous stretch of interstate. Reproduction: The failure has been confirmed through diagnostic testing and inspection by the independent service center. Manufacturer/police/insurance inspection: The manufacturer has been notified, but no inspection by Volvo has occurred to date. No police or insurance inspection was performed. Warning messages or lamps: Prior to the breakdown, no warning lamps or messages indicated impending failure. The first and only symptom was the sudden loss of power on the highway. Incident cause assessment: Based on mechanic’s findings, the underlying cause is piston ring/oil consumption defect leading to cylinder head failure. While driving at speeds below 25 mph, my transmission seems to get caught between gears. When I press the accelerator, the engine revs, but the car doesn’t accelerate as it should. It feels like the power just drops out. There were no warning lights or indicators on the dashboard. The exact same thing happened again the very next day, at low speed, in the same general area. Both times, the car
... suddenly lost power in traffic, leaving me unable to move normally. This is extremely dangerous — other drivers have no idea that my vehicle isn’t responding, which puts me and everyone around me at risk. It’s clear there’s a serious issue with the transmission malfunctioning.Read more

Oct 10, 2025, I received an OTA update on my Jeep Wrangler. After the installation, I left my child's school on the way to dinner. Maybe a half mile into the drive, I received numerous warnings on the display screen and quickly after that, the vehicle lost all power. Hybrid system unavailable as well as the gas motor. Power steering, brakes and stability control also gone. Was able to get to the s
... ide of the road but it nearly stranded me on an elevated 2 lane road over a dam near Cherry Creek Reservoir in Greenwood Village, CO. Was able to reset the system after some troubleshooting and limp the vehicle home. Made an appointment and took it in for service the following Tuesday. The dealer has tried to remedy the situation but ran into the same loss of power after another update. I do not trust this vehicle with the safety of my family in mind. Jeep/Stellantis has yet to notify it's customers of this potential safety hazard nor have they communicated/acknowledged it publicly to raise awareness. It could save lives and something needs to be done. There are hundreds if not thousands of impacted owners and some might not even know yet. Unacceptable for Jeep, Stellantis and quite frankly... the NHTSA.... for not taking the appropriate steps to prevent potential accidents. Your entire mission is safety and not a peep from any party.Read more

I have had 2 instances of my F150 downshifting at highway speeds to 2nd gear while driving. I was not towing a trailer, just driving normally in both cases on my daily commute to work. The first instance was resolved by coming to a stop, shifting to park, and shifting into drive again. The second instance, I released the accelerator completely, shifted the gear selector to neutral and back to dr
... ive while coasting and it seemed to correct. Neither have led to loss of control but it is startling and not a great thing for the longevity and safety of my vehicle. I see how it could become a problem. After instance number 1, I thought perhaps it was a fluke. I now have learned that there have been prior model years of this truck transmission that also have had issues and I am more concerned that this get resolved. I now plan to have vehicle looked at by a dealership in the near future. first incident was early September and second incident was Oct. 20, 2025.Read more
