I am submitting this letter to report a potentially widespread safety defect in the 2021 Ford Bronco related to the rear differential assembly. This issue can lead to loss of vehicle control and represents a significant safety risk on public roads. Fo

I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue as a possible design or manufacturing defect that warrants a formal recall or technical action from Ford. They did the inspection and diagnosed it. I took my vehicle to that dealership numerous times and told them about the noise I was experiencing and it came back no problems found. Incident date: Oct 23, 2025
The car started to have issues shifting when driving- automatic transmission. It would jolt or shudder to try to shift. I was at a light intersection attempting to turn left to go on the on ramp of a highway, it attempted to shift as I sped up from a stop and it got stuck and started making a sound as if you were to press the brake and gas at the same time, similar to that, a car was coming in my
... direction at the same time and it finally clicked into gear. Absolutely terrified me, my father in law came and switched me vehicles and took mine to the dealership where it stayed for 3 days and they diagnosed it saying it needed a new transmission, quoting us at $11,000. Obviously we can’t afford that. We had all the filters and lines of the transmission cleaned. And now it’s just gotten worse and worse. That was the first time it happened. Now it’ll shudder like that any time it’s switching gears at any speed. Another time since then, it got stuck in the same situation after pulling out of my kids school driveway, it got stuck and wouldn’t click, when it finally did it started shaking uncontrollably in the street and thankfully I live two streets over and made it to my street before it just shut off on its own. I coasted it right into the front of our house and then it would not come back on, at this time we searched the internet over and over to find try to find an easy fix. We let it sit before it came back on. This is our family vehicle. I’ve seen that many many people have this exact issue with this exact same year and model. Its not coincidental and It’s extremely unsafe. Especially with kids in these vehicles. I’m terrified one day when it gets stuck or shuts off we will get hit.Read more

Follow-Up to Complaint #11696210 This is a formal update to my original safety complaint regarding my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ), which suddenly decelerated from 50 mph to 10 mph on October 11, 2025 — a terrifying incident that occurred immediately after an over-the-air (OTA) Uconnect software update. Since submitting the original complaint, Jeep/Uconnect confirmed that my vehicle wa
... s affected by the faulty OTA update, but they have refused to provide any documentation of what occurred. They admitted the update was involved but claimed they had “no access” to the engineering or software details. They referred me back to the dealership, which had originally denied any recall existed and still has not provided a clear explanation of what was done. I have made repeated attempts to escalate my case through Jeep, Uconnect, and Stellantis, but: -My case was closed prematurely despite the seriousness of the issue -No one will provide documentation of what software version was installed, rolled back, or repaired -No one will confirm whether the recall fix was fully implemented -All email escalation contacts have since been removed I’ve been left without answers and with growing concerns about my safety in this vehicle The recall issued days after my incident matches exactly what happened to me, yet I’ve been treated as though this was an unrelated or minor issue. It was not. I was extremely lucky I wasn’t in heavy traffic when the malfunction occurred. I am urging NHTSA to further investigate Jeep/Stellantis's handling of this recall, including their lack of transparency, poor documentation practices, and refusal to provide consumers with the information they need to feel safe in their vehicles. We have owned our 2019 Acura RDX for about 4 years. Roughly 2 years ago my wife called me panicked that the car had lost power and the check engine light was on as she was exiting the freeway. I had it towed to Honda of Gresham, OR and after a week or so they called and said they couldn't find anything wrong with our vehicle. I paid for a oil change, a tow and a dealer diagnostics and was told they could not find anything. $500 later no answers. Fast forward 2 years Oct 26th 2025 I was driving the RDX this time, in the rain on the freeway. Wife and kids in the car. Went to accelerate past a slow driver and the car went into limp mode. Check engine light flashing and limited to 40 mph or so, I put the hazards on as I was on a single lane bridge with traffic behind me. I pulled over after the bridge and turned the vehicle off. After 5 minutes or so I started the car again and everything seems fine, no check engine lights nothing seems off. I continued on down the freeway without any more incident. I started researching what is going on and find many many reports of this same thing. Acura has a tsb for a front mount intercooler as the fix, but when I took ours in for the stated problem they couldn't find a problem. This car looks beautiful, but it's a safety hazard on the freeway when moisture is present, we live in the PNW and it rains 7 months out of the year. I was able to drive it back to the dealership and left it parked in the their parking lot as it was after hours at this point. The very next morning by 7:30AM I was at their service desk explaining what had happened the night before after picking up my truck from them. They refused to give me any further service as they said that they had already completed the service related to the 24S37 recall, and that if I continued to experience issues, that it was a completly unrelated issue and if I wanted to get it diagnose and repaired that it would be out of pocket. After doing more reserach online, I came to find out that on some of this recall issues related to 24S37, in some cases the dealership would have to replace the entire Lead Frame which holds the Transmission output shaft speed sensor which goes bad and causes the transmission to go crazy and thus the downshifting, and in other cases they don't have to replace this part. In my case, while there were no other codes that showed, they determined that only a reprogramming was necessary. However, given that I continue to experience the same sudden downshift issues, I suspect that it is a bad output shaft speed sensor which should be replaced under the current safety recall.Read more

I am submitting an update to my existing complaint regarding the ICCU safety recall on my 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5. Since my original submission, my vehicle has been at authorized Hyundai dealerships since July 2025 and remained undiagnosed and unrepaired for over three months. During this time, I received inconsistent and misleading information from both Hyundai corporate and the dealerships regardin
... g the status of the recall repair, as documented via emails, texts, and recorded calls. On 10/31/2025, the dealership informed me that the issue may involve a floor harness/wiring problem and it is out of warranty; however, this appears related to the ICCU safety recall, and Hyundai has not provided a firm timeline for repair. Hyundai’s delay has caused significant inconvenience, as I have been without my vehicle while continuing to make car payments and insurance payments, and arranging temporary transportation. Additionally, Hyundai and the dealerships provided multiple assurances that the vehicle was being diagnosed and repaired, which were later contradicted, reflecting misleading and deceptive practices. I request that NHTSA consider this update as part of my ongoing complaint and investigate Hyundai’s failure to provide timely and adequate recall service, as well as the misinformation surrounding this safety recall.Read more
