My 2023 Ford F-150 XLT (base 4×4—2H, 4H, 4L only) is experiencing a front-axle/IWE malfunction that causes the hubs to partially engage on their own in cold weather. When temperatures drop below freezing, the truck produces a very loud, physical pop when turning in 2H and a mechanical grinding/rumble noise from the front axle while driving straight. This happens even though the roads are dry a
... nd I have not engaged 4WD. The noise immediately disappears when I switch into 4H, which indicates the integrated wheel ends (IWEs) are partially engaging due to vacuum loss or actuator failure. When the hubs fully lock in 4H, the grinding stops. This confirms the IWEs are not disengaging properly in 2H. This occurs only in freezing temperatures, to date, and it feels as if the front axle is binding or locking during turns. The loud popping feels violent enough that it could lead to CV axle, differential, or IWE gear failure. My Ford dealer stated they have “not heard of this issue,” but this condition matches the symptoms described in Ford TSB 25-2513 for incomplete IWE disengagement on 2021–2025 F-150 trucks. Despite Ford saying this is not a known problem, there is significant owner evidence online showing that many 2021–2024 F-150 owners experience the exact same symptoms. Multiple threads on F150Forum, F150Gen14.com, and Reddit describe identical cold-weather popping and grinding caused by IWEs partially engaging in 2H. In many of those cases, owners report that dealers dismissed the issue or stated it was “normal,” even though the symptoms are widespread and consistent. This is a safety concern because the front axle partially engages without driver input, causing binding, loss of smooth steering, loud mechanical pops, and grinding while in 2WD. This could lead to sudden front drivetrain failure, loss of control, or damage to steering/braking components. I am submitting this complaint so NHTSA is aware that this issue is occurring F-150s and may not be isolated.Read more

My 2021 Chevrolet Blazer experienced a radiator failure at approximately 42,000 miles. The radiator and cooling system malfunctioned, causing coolant loss and triggering a warning light on the instrument panel. The failed radiator is available for inspection upon request. This defect put my safety and the safety of others at risk because a compromised radiator can lead to engine overheating, sudd
... en loss of power, or even steering assist reduction while driving. These conditions increase the likelihood of an accident, particularly at highway speeds. The problem was confirmed by my Chevrolet dealer, who diagnosed the radiator as needing replacement. They initially quoted $1,800, later reducing the cost to $915.90 after acknowledging that approximately 20 customers per month at their dealership alone are experiencing the same issue. This indicates the defect is widespread, at least regionally, and may be systemic across the model. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer service department, which is an authorized GM representative. No police or insurance inspection has occurred. Prior to the failure, a warning lamp illuminated on the instrument panel, alerting me to a cooling system issue. This was the first symptom I noticed before bringing the vehicle in for service. I believe this premature radiator failure represents a systemic defect in the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer’s cooling system. It occurred well within the 5‑year/60,000‑mile warranty period, yet the dealer claimed the radiator is not covered. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this issue, as it appears to affect many owners and poses a significant safety risk.Read more

I purchased (traded into) a 2021 Jeep Wrangler on October 31, 2024. The vehicle already had an open safety recall (68C) at the time of purchase. I contacted Jeep/Stellantis Recall Customer Care to report the issue. Only after calling did I receive an email telling me I must pay out of pocket for a rental vehicle, even though the vehicle is unsafe and the recall remedy is not available. I immediately responded saying I cannot pay upfront. Since November 25, Jeep/Stellantis has ignored my messages completely. The vehicle remains unsafe, undrivable, and under a recall with no available parts. Jeep has refused to provide a direct-billed rental or any safe alternative transportation. I have been left without a usable vehicle while the manufacturer fails to communicate or offer assistance. This is a major safety defect, and the lack of manufacturer response puts me in danger. am submitting this complaint regarding a serious safety issue with my 2014 Jeep Compass. While driving, the vehicle feels as though the passenger-side front wheel is going to snap off at any moment. Symptoms began November 2025 with “Check Coolant” warning; reservoir was below MIN. Added coolant once; warning has not returned, but pressure test proved ongoing internal leak. Coolant intrusion in my 2017 Ford Escape Titanium presents a serious safety hazard that warrants an immediate recall. When coolant leaks into the engine’s cylinders, it can lead to sudden engine misfires, stalling, loss of power, or complete engine failure while the vehicle is in motion. This creates extremely dangerous driving conditions—especially at highway speeds, during turns, or in inter
... sections—because it removes the driver’s ability to accelerate, maintain speed, or safely maneuver the vehicle. In many cases, coolant intrusion causes the engine to overheat rapidly, which can result in thermal damage, smoke, or even fire risk. Drivers often receive little to no warning before these failures occur. The problem is both unpredictable and progressive, meaning a vehicle that appears to be operating normally can suddenly stall or seize without sufficient time for the driver to react. Ford has been aware of widespread coolant intrusion issues across multiple EcoBoost engines, yet many affected owners—including myself—have not received adequate support, coverage, or recall actions. This defect is not merely a mechanical inconvenience; it is a direct threat to driver, passenger, and public safety. The only appropriate response is a mandatory recall to inspect, repair, or replace affected engines before more drivers experience dangerous failures on the road.Paying for this on a teachers salary before the holidays is a struggle.Read more

formal complaint for gross negligence, warranty breach, and repeated mechanical failures involving my RAM 2020 ProMaster 1500 HR (VIN: [XXX] ). The vehicle remained out of service for 1 year, 4 months, and 18 days due to transmission damage. Five days after the final delivery, the transmission failed again. in addition, there is a persistent problem with the steering system. The dealership insist
... that this is the " Normal Operation ", but this is a defect according to the owner’s manual. The transmission is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, and the supposedly replaced parts are covered by the GWC Warranty. November 14, 2025, the vehicle was transported to Miami Lakes Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM to be inspected by Mr. Christopher Byrne (Bosch EAA, [XXX] ), the technical inspector assigned by Stellantis to conduct the evaluation. After returning home with the vehicle following this inspection, new oil leaks became evident, apparently originating from the engine. It has now been one month and ten days since my initial communication with Stellantis FCA, and I have not received a single official update regarding the status of my claim. Likewise, ten business days have passed since the inspection performed by Mr. Byrne, without any delivery of the diagnostic results, findings, or a corrective action plan. I appreciate your attention to this matter and expect it to be handled with the urgency and rigor required for a case involving mechanical safety risks and manufacturer responsibility. I look forward to your prompt response. Finally we have not received an effective response, and the vehicle remains inoperable at my residence. Since purchase, the vehicle has only been operational for about four months, spending the rest of the time in repair shops due to serious and recurring mechanical failures, including leaks, oil contamination, and defects in the steering, transmission systems and other problems. Check Google reviews by [XXX]. The alleged “repairs” were superficial, mechanical failures persisted, and invoices, service receipts, and technical reports were omitted, demonstrating a total lack of transparency.
