The fuel pump for the engine is known for failing due to ethanol in the fuel reacting with the bare aluminum. Harley Davidson has recognized this issue with the newer model but has not recalled any of its previous models. This could cause a serious safety risk for the rider or other pedestrians on the roadway as this could cause the bike to suddenly lose all power causing an accident. Many people
... have mentioned this known issue but Harley Davidson still refuses to seal the aluminum tanks or replace the tank with the later model ones that are already sealed. Harley Davidson’s solution for this problem has been to continue replacing the fuel pump with a new one identical to the one that failed at the customers expense. No warning lamps or messages appear when the pump is failing or completely failed occasionally riders have stated they begin hearing a growling or screeching sound from the tank soon before failure. Others have stated that the fuel pump has left them stranded or in a dangerous situation due to the pump failing while on the roadway with no warning. A recall to reseal or replace the tanks on older model years needs to be done to ensure the safety of the rider and others on the roadway.Read more

My TAILGATE kept opening randomly and ENGINE WAS MAKING CLUNKING SOUND initially. Lost many tools on the highway once when it opened. Dealership told me my truck is not covered under a recall for both issues, even though other similar vehicles are. I refused to pay anything to have it fixed. They claimed my truck “wasn’t built in the factory that has recalls”. A month later the STARTER AN
... D BATTERY burned up when I started up the truck, something locked up it sounded like. Eventually it started but didn’t sound right. A few days later the engine finally blew up. I paid out of pocket for everything for that trip. It’s currently back at the dealer being repaired with a new engine for the recall but GMC refuses to pay for the initial clunking/starter/battery and the tailgate issues. I’ve encored so many charges with tows and rentals from all these issues. I would like full reimbursement for everything.Read more

Good morning. It’s about the safety recall for loss of propulsion due to manufacturing defects that can lead to engine damage and engine failure. GM notified me about this in September 2025 . So, I drove my vehicle to the dealership to inspect my vehicle , my SUV passed the examination, they replaced the oil recommending now another one with higher viscosity, new oil cap and an owner’s manual
... insert free of charge. Ladies and gentlemen; My concern from here on now is, just doing this is going to give me a peace of mind? Meaning the manufacturer defects issue is not longer in my vehicle? I paid a top dollar for this specific unit because I like to travel across the country even to go to Mexico. Right now I’m driving the truck silent, no music at all.driving the vehicle just to go to the store, to buy groceries, very short trips, around my neighborhood Trying to hear any noise, any knocking noise on my engine, observing the dashboard controls constantly, my family and I decided to stop traveling due to my vehicle is not secure to do it with this particular 6.2 engine because my notification letter from GM says that if the vehicle fails during operation will lose control increasing the risk of crash. As a GM customer, using my vehicle with my family I don’t feel safe and comfortable with my vehicle therefore I am asking and expecting for a better solution from General Motors. Not just replacing the oil for another one with a higher viscosity because doing this only is telling me that it’s just a cheap remedy, but the manufacturer defects are still there with my vehicle . I know they extended the warranty to cover this defect if something happens in the future, but isn’t about that , is about the safety, the concerns, the feelings of the family members involved in this insecure situation while driving this vehicle in the highway at 70 miles an hour.Ladies and gentlemen. I am pretty sure you can help us with this petition , GM should be able to do something way better.Read more

The CVT transmission, which is part of the vehicle’s powertrain system, experienced a premature failure. The vehicle became inoperable and was in an unsafe location, so the police had to tow it. I am not sure if a police report was issued. The tow resulted in extensive impound fees. The transmission is available for inspection upon request. The failure caused loss of power and unpredictable ope
... ration, making the vehicle unsafe to drive, especially in traffic. This created a risk of collision to myself, my passengers, and other motorists. The problem has been diagnosed and confirmed by a Honda dealership, which determined the transmission has failed and that the vehicle is not safe to operate. The vehicle has been inspected by a Honda dealership, and the manufacturer has been notified through Honda Customer Relations. There were no warning lights or messages prior to the failure. The transmission failed suddenly and without warning. The exact date of the failure is 01/15/2026 and it happened at 105,000. I’ve only had the car 10 months and started with 93,853.Read more

The vehicle is subject to a manufacturer safety recall related to a fire risk involving the high-voltage battery system. After receiving the recall notice, I brought the vehicle to an authorized dealer for evaluation. The dealer confirmed that there is currently no permanent remedy available for this recall and no estimated timeline for when a corrective repair will be available. The vehicle was r
... eturned to me without a corrective repair being performed. Since the recall, the vehicle’s charging capability and usable driving range have been significantly reduced compared to normal operation. Fast-charging functionality is no longer reliably available, resulting in longer charging times and a materially decreased effective range. This condition persists and is not attributable to normal battery degradation or driving habits. The vehicle was purchased new in reliance on its advertised driving range and charging capability, which were necessary to meet predictable daily transportation requirements. Due to the post-recall charging limitations and reduced effective range, the vehicle can no longer be relied upon to perform as originally intended. The active safety recall restricts authorized dealers from selling, leasing, or transferring the vehicle until a permanent remedy is available. No remedy or definitive timeline has been provided. Continued operation of a vehicle subject to a fire-related recall without corrective repair, combined with reduced charging capability and range, raises concerns regarding recall adequacy, charging availability, trip completion, and continued safe operation.Read more

While driving, pressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle hesitated and stalled. No warning lights came on until after I attempted to turn the vehicle back on then the check engine light and low oil light were illuminated. The cleaning did not work and it was then found that a pin was sheared off inside the engine. My engine was then replaced under warranty but I still had to pay for the cleaning. A second mechanic looked over my paperwork after getting my car back 2 months later and noted that the engine failure could have been diagnosed without the cleaning as the cleaning would not have affected where the pin was sheared off. I am reporting a recurring, life-threatening electronic failure in my 2023 Hyundai Palisade. On [XXX], while turning into an intersection, the vehicle's brakes spontaneously engaged, stalling the car in the path of oncoming traffic. During this event, multiple critical safety systems failed simultaneously, including the headlights and horn, leaving me unable to warn other drivers. A "violent" surg
... e was required to clear the intersection, risking a high-speed collision. Similar spontaneous recurrences occurred on [XXX] and [XXX], and most recently on [XXX]. These incidents are characterized by "phantom braking," total loss of propulsion, and a complete lack of interior/exterior electronic response. Technical Evidence: Diagnostic scans revealed 16 distinct fault codes (including C161608, C181287, and U012687) involving the Chassis Control Module, Electronic Control Unit (ECU), and communication buses. Despite these logged codes, Hyundai and the dealership have repeatedly returned the vehicle to me, stating they "cannot replicate" the issue, thereby dismissing a documented electronic record of failure. Arbitration Status: I entered into BBB Auto Line Arbitration (Case #[XXX]). Hyundai has contested the claim by attempting to manipulate the "start date" of the defect to February 2024 to avoid Lemon Law statutes, despite dealer records confirming the first occurrence in August 2023. As of January 13, 2026, the dealership is again attempting to force me to take delivery of the unrepaired vehicle. This vehicle is a "phantom" safety hazard. The manufacturer’s inability to replicate a logged electronic fault during a brief test drive does not mitigate the extreme risk of sudden braking and power loss at highway speeds. I am requesting a formal investigation into these specific fault codes and the electronic integrity of this model. Well the engine definitely failed to provide power for me to drive my vehicle. And as I am doing more and more research on what the PTU does, which is what there is a recall on. It appears the PTU not working correctly on my vehicle affected the engine, and the ability for car to properly utilize oil, thus affecting the operation of the cylinders 1 and 4 on my vehicle. I am being told I need a ne
... w engine however, I believe the PTU problem directly affected my engine because everything that happens with the failure of the PTU is similar things that happen with the failure of my engine, thus the two really are related. And if the PTU "talks to" the engine for proper consumption and usage of oil then, my current engine replacement needs to be covered under the recall of the PTU and any other possible engine problems with other Jeep Cherokee engine recalls. I would like someone to contact me and have a discussion with me and/or an attorney as I am considering now hiring one because of the safety risk of continued problems especially putting in another engine and having the PTU affect the engine again. Also mechanics are saying there is no way that this engine failed unless there was something else wrong upon installation of the engine or something else affected the operation of the engine, as in the PTU.Read more

The fuel injector valves started leaking resulting in a P0172 Rich Fuel mixture diagnostic code. When fuel injector valves leak gasoline into the engine oil it can cause an engine fire, severe damage to the engine and catalytic converter. My daughter was driving the car when this happened which makes me very upset that a known safety issue has not been addresses by the NHTSA or Honda. This effects
... millions of CRVs which is why Honda is fighting a recall and why the NHTSA must step in and fine Honda and force a recall. The potential for engines catching on fire should result in an immediate recall. Transmission drive belt snapped while driving. Took it to Honda dealer to diagnose, they found it to be the drive belt that snapped in the cvt transmission. 2021 ford f150 PowerBoost hybrid. There is a LOT of internet chatter and forum chatter about KNOWN issues with the following, and it recently almost led to a major and likely serious injury accident. ... o hammer the gas, or hit the breaks. Does two things, slams forward eventually after 3-4 second delay if gas pedal depressed OR shifts down or into electric mode (internal combustion off) and then will once again go from first to third in normal acceleration progression and pace They must have an issue with the standard 1-3 skip programming with ICE power and 2nd gear being a hang-up I almost got T boned by a semi truck due to this with family in car. This could have been deadly. It happens as an annoyance at least once per day but this one was scary. Online, and based on what I can find - Ford is aware of this issue as they have the 1-3-5 programming in the transmission but when it finds itself (due to real world driving conditions) in 2nd gear under Internal combustion, it does not know what to do. I brought it to Ford last year in Anchorage and they are attempting to blame it on normal hybrid system operation. That is NOT the case. It would be something that could be duplicated but with effort. A basic, simple test drive is NOT going to find this. They are aware of this being an issue. If you have any situation where you are rolling through, merging into traffic, or other scenario where you end up in 2 under ICE you are in TROUBLE. Dangerous, scary, and totally a manufacturer issue that is known and needs to be taken VERY seriously.Read more

In 2023 they found damage inside the transfer case with metal bore damage and two valves, which they replaced, it worked for a year, and now my transmission is completely damaged permentaly from not solving the initial issues. As of October of 2025, the new TSB 25-2474 and TSB 25-2475 which addresses replacing the entire transmission and/or CDF. Of which Ford knew the whole time. This past month I was almost in 7 accidents due to the transmission shifting suddenly, not shifting at all and stalling going through an intersection with cars behind me, and Ford told me this whole time that the harsh shifts were normal or desired in these performance trucks. I have three kids under the age of [XXX] who ride with me in this truck, and almost risked their lives trying to fix these issues and almost involved in accidents from the transmission failing. The transmission and transfer case/valve bodies have been worked on at least 6 times under warranty, but now it just expired and Ford is stating they cant do anything now because it is expired, yet it is now completely broken. Ford is quoting 12,000 for a new transmission, transfer case, and CDF Valve. Even though they did not fix the original issues this whole time. Subject: URGENT: Investigation Request – Systemic Loss of Propulsion in Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Vehicles (2017–2026). 1. Description of Defect I am formally reporting a critical, life-threatening safety defect involving the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) in Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles. These modules suffer from spontaneous software "resets" or
... "reboot" loops during operation. When the PCM resets, it severs communication with the fuel system, causing an immediate and total loss of propulsion (motive power). 2. Safety Hazard and Real-World Impact This defect triggers without warning at highway speeds, resulting in vehicles stopping abruptly in high-speed lanes. This creates a "sitting duck" scenario, rendering the vehicle unable to move to a shoulder and significantly increasing the risk of catastrophic rear-end collisions and multi-vehicle pileups. Reported incidents include near-misses and accidents directly attributed to this sudden stalling. 3. Timeline of Manufacturer Awareness (2017 – Present) JLR has been aware of this specific PCM/FPDM communication failure since at least 2017. Internal documentation, such as NHTSA Technical Bulletin SB-10095121-1020, identified short circuits in the PCM/FPDM line for 2017 F-PACE and XE models. Subsequent bulletins, including MC-10218879-0001, admit that software "flashing" is ineffective and that FPDM hardware replacement is often required. Despite nearly a decade of internal knowledge, JLR has failed to initiate a comprehensive global safety recall for all affected VINs, opting instead for localized "Service Actions" that do not permanently resolve the hardware instability. 4. International Context and Manufacturer Inaction The Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has already summoned JLR officials regarding these stalling failures. However, JLR has not provided a verified, permanent solution. 5. Demand for Action We demand an immediate, multi-agencyRead more

Subject: URGENT: Global Safety Defect Report – Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) Failure. Description of Defect: I am writing to formally report a critical safety defect affecting Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) vehicles involving the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM). These modules are experiencing spont
... aneous "reset" or "reboot" events during vehicle operation, leading to a sudden and total loss of propulsion. Safety Hazard: Affected vehicles are experiencing power loss at highway speeds, often resulting in the vehicle stopping abruptly in live lanes of traffic. This defect has directly led to near-misses and reported accidents. The loss of power frequently occurs without warning, rendering the vehicle a "sitting duck" on high-speed roads, creating an extreme risk of rear-end collisions and multi-vehicle pileups. Manufacturer Inaction: Despite internal technical bulletins (e.g., NHTSA TSB MC-10218879-0001) and mounting consumer complaints, JLR has failed to issue a global safety recall or provide a permanent hardware/software resolution. While the Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has reportedly summoned JLR officials regarding these stalling issues, the manufacturer has yet to implement a verified fix or acknowledge the systemic nature of the failure. Demand for Action: We request that your agency launch an immediate investigation into the frequency and severity of these stalling events to compel Jaguar Land Rover to initiate a safety recall and protect the motoring public.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The transmission failed to operate properly. The component is still installed in the vehicle and is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle jerks when shifting gears and upshifts on its own, causing unpredictable changes in speed an
... d loss of smooth acceleration. This creates a risk of sudden acceleration or hesitation, especially in traffic, increasing the potential for a collision. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, the problem has not yet been formally confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? No, the vehicle and transmission have not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Prior to the failure, the vehicle began jerking during gear shifts. The transmission does not properly shift gears in relation to engine upshifting and will upshift by itself. These symptoms appeared before the failure and have continued since.Read more
