NISSAN HAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THEIR RADIATORS AND FAULTY HOSES. THESE RESULT IN COOLANT LEAKING IN THE TRANSMISSION AND ULTIMATELY DESTROYING BOTH. WHEN SHE RETURNED THE CAR SHE WAS ABLE TO TAKE THE CAR OUT OF PARK WITH THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. SHE WAS UNABLE TO GET THE SERVICE REP ON THE PHONE SO SHE DROVE HOME AND PARKED THE CAR IN THE GARAGE. APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES LATER WE ALL WENT OUT TO THE CAR AND HAD HER SON TRY TO TAKE THE CAR OUT OF PARK WITHOUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION WHICH HE DID. THERE WAS NO RESISTANCE IN THE SHIFTER WHEN REMOVING FROM PARK AND COULD FREELY MOVE THE SHIFTER. WE LEFT THE SHIFTER IN THE DRIVE POSITION AND CALLED THE DEALER WHO SENT A TOW TRUCK AND HAD THE DRIVE VERIFY THE CAR COULD BE SHIFTED WITH THE KEY OUT.
