This car has some fuel injector problems. I've replaced them and it's still running very crappy. I've read a lot and seen a lot of people getting their fuel injectors fixed with this year of vehicle and now it smells like it's flooding out and Honda should be covering this. This has been an ongoing issue. I've tried to fix it. It's not working. This is car is a lemon.

I own a 2021 Ford F-150 that is part of recall 25S75 for the low‑pressure fuel pump. Ford announced this recall years ago, but there is still no fix or parts available. This is a safety issue because the fuel pump can fail and cause the truck to stall or not start. I rely on this vehicle, and it’s frustrating that there is still no remedy after all this time. Many other F-150 owners are report

Civic developed a misfire. Diagnosis at the Honda service center revealed a leaking #2 fuel injector causing fuel wash-down into cylinder #2. Engine and head have been deemed unsalvageable by the Honda service center. Honda has

Add a stoplight or stop sign at a full and complete stop…. I pressed down the accelerator and nothing happens for about a second and a half… When it finally does respond, it jumps as if it was struggling to get into gear and popped itself… However, then it goes right back to normal.. But the slow starting happens very often. Definite lag when punching on the gas.

My 2019 BMW 330i has a recurring cooling system defect, including coolant leaks, heater inoperative, and risk of engine overheating. The defect began while the vehicle was under warranty and was repaired by BMW, but it recurred. BMW later instructed me not to drive the vehicle due to safety concerns, yet declined responsibility and transportation. The vehicle remains unsafe to operate.

My 2022 Kia Soul experienced a sudden loss of motive power and stalling while driving, creating a high risk for a rear-end collision in traffic. An authorized Kia dealership (Mike Miller Kia) performed a major timing repair in March 2025 [XXX] ) to address these safety issues. However, the exact same failure occurred again in January 2026. The dealership now documents that the engine was 4 quarts
... low on oil, nearly empty, despite proper maintenance. This indicates a severe oil consumption defect that leads to timing failure and unpredictable engine stalls. I believe this vehicle poses an unreasonable safety risk due to this recurring stalling condition, which matches the defect described in NHTSA Recall 25V099 (SC336), though my VIN is currently excluded. On April 29, 2025 we took our truck in for these 3 recalls Serial Data Gateway Module • N242435631 -Fuel Injector Flow Rate• N242450630 - Park Assist Retrofit - Exp 05/31/27• N222375790. We picked the truck up and had no issues. Then on November 28, 2025 our fuel injector 2 went out. According to articles we have found the recall for the fuel injector flow rate specifically addresses the ECM
... not controlling fuel injector flow rates and because it was not doing this correctly it put added stress on the fuel injector #2. We took the vehicle to Ken Garf Chevrolet American Fork Utah and they diagnosed the issue as the fuel injector 2 being bad. They quoted us with parts 2000 dollars to fix it. After researching this recall information we took the vehicle to Sky Chevrolet in Provo Utah where we got the vehicle and where it was serviced in April and asked them to look into the fix. They are telling us that they cannot find any correlation between the fuel injector flow rate and the fuel injector 2 going out so they are wanting $600 dollars to fix the fuel injector flow rate. The next thing since the N242435631 update was performed, the automated clock on longer syncs. This is a known side effect of the gateway module update. We were again told that they could find no correlation between the clock and the recall. When doing research we found that that the 2 are very much connected. I would also like to complain about Ken Garf and how they "diagnosed" an issue we told them was already there. I would like to refunded the 200 dollars for the diagnostic fee.Read more

My vehicle was at a manufacturer‑authorized dealership for a federally mandated recall repair. While the vehicle was in the dealership’s exclusive care, custody, and control, it was struck by a third‑party cleaning vendor operating on dealership property and was declared a total loss. I did not hire or authorize this vendor. After the incident, the manufacturer informed me in writing that th
... e dealership would repair the damage at their own expense, separate from the recall work. The manufacturer also stated they were covering the recall‑related repairs and were coordinating with the dealership. They provided weekly updates, monitored the recall repair, and escalated a backordered recall part. Later, after the dealership confirmed the vehicle was a total loss, the manufacturer reversed its position and stated it was “not involved.” The dealership has refused to identify the cleaning company responsible for the loss, their insurer, or any claim information, preventing any direct follow‑up. The manufacturer continues to direct me to “work with the parties involved,” even though the responsible vendor has not been disclosed. This raises concerns about the safety and oversight of the recall repair process, the handling of vehicles during recall service, and the manufacturer’s response when a vehicle is destroyed during a recall procedure.Read more

In the past I owned a 2017 jetta, which I sold approximately one year ago. It had a 1.4 liter turbo engine. At some point around 18 to 20 years ago, I started smelling gasoline fumes in the cabin. It was rare and intermittent. I did not check it out as it did not seem like an urgent issue. I sold the vehicle about a year ago. I also now own a 2016 jetta TSI model, 1.8 liter turbo with about 104,
... 000 miles. In the past few days I started smelling gasoline in the cabin while operating the vehicle. It was not serviced in many months so it’s not likely to have anything to do with bad mechanical service and the vehicle runs well. I checked the internet and discovered a massive vw/audi recall for 260,000 vehicles around 2024, having something to do with a seal related to some sort of a fuel pump, which included 2017 model vehicles. I contacted two vw dealerships expecting them to check the problem and handle this serious hazard. Both dealerships decline to check the vehicle other than for cash. They confirmed my vehicle was not subject to a recall. I took my problem to the Volkswagen company today. I was told that there was no fuel related recall for my vin number and they would not accommodate my request. But I was advised that I should not drive the vehicle going forward, but have it towed. This dangerous condition was exhibited by 2 separate jettas I owned. The likelihood of this condition being found in 2 separate vehicles is mere coincidence and not indicative of a dangerous problem created in the manufacturing process is beyond a plausible explanation. Please follow up ASAP as I am being effectively deprived of the use of this vehicle. My phone number is [XXX] . Thank you. I am submitting this complaint regarding a suspected safety-related defect involving the fuel system of my Mercedes-Benz vehicle. I have experienced a persistent gasoline odor originating from the vehicle. The presence of fuel odor is not a normal operating condition and reasonably indicates a potential failure involving the fuel tank, fuel lines, or related fuel system components. Fuel vapors pr
... esent a known fire and explosion hazard and constitute a safety risk to vehicle occupants, surrounding vehicles, and property. This condition was not present prior to the issue and has persisted despite inspection. I reported this concern to Mercedes-Benz USA and referenced that fuel odor and fuel tank-related defects have been documented in other Mercedes-Benz vehicles. During my communication with Mercedes-Benz USA, I was informed that an extended or long-term warranty related to the fuel tank or fuel system had existed but was no longer applicable because the coverage period had expired. I was not made aware of this extended warranty at the time it was active and therefore had no opportunity to seek inspection or repair while coverage was in effect. Mercedes-Benz USA has acknowledged my complaint but has declined to provide corrective action beyond internal review. Given the safety implications of fuel system defects and the potential impact of inadequate disclosure of extended safety-related warranty coverage, I am requesting that NHTSA document this complaint and evaluate whether this condition represents a broader defect trend and whether recall or further investigation is warranted. This complaint is submitted to ensure the issue is formally recorded as a potential fuel system safety defect.Read more

The dealership did not inform me of an active Acura safety recall related to the issue and stated that they “do not check Acura recalls.” Based on their assessment, I proceeded with repairs at my own expense. I paid approximately $435 for the replacement part purchased from an Acura dealership and about $300 in labor to an independent repair shop. After the work was completed, I later learned that the same issue was covered under an active Acura safety recall. The problem has since been confirmed by both the independent repair facility that performed the work and an Acura dealership that verified the recall applies to this vehicle. When I requested reimbursement under the recall, Acura offered approximately $312.91, which does not cover my actual repair costs. Prior to the failure, there were clear warning signs including steering vibration, noise, and handling instability that worsened over time. No dashboard warning lights appeared before the failure. OFFICIAL REPORT: UNJUSTIFIED DENIAL OF SAFETY REMEDY & DATA INCONSISTENCY - VIN: 1C4JJXN6XPW623043 I am filing this official complaint regarding a significant barrier to resolving Safety Recall 68C (Battery Fire Risk) and Recall 78C on my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. 1. DEBUNKING MANUFACTURER CLAIMS: Stellantis Middle East (Ref: FA-25274) has declined to perform the remedy, claiming authorized dealers
... in my region lack the necessary equipment. This is FACTUALLY INCORRECT. The manufacturer's own portal (jeep.com) confirms that Recall 04B (HCP Software Update) was successfully REPAIRED on this VIN by the local authorized dealer (Harlem Cars). 2. DISAPPEARING SAFETY RECORDS: I possess a prior screenshot from the official portal confirming that Recall 95B (High Voltage Battery) was also successfully REPAIRED by the same dealer. However, this record has recently DISAPPEARED from the active recall list on the manufacturer's website. This removal of a safety record, combined with the current denial of service, raises serious concerns about data integrity and safety compliance. 3. PROVEN TECHNICAL CAPABILITY: The successful completion of Recall 95B and 04B-both involving high-voltage systems and software-proves the dealer is fully equipped. Furthermore, Mopar Session ID: b27c4acf-bcff-4dbc-99ac-aba6477d31b1 confirms active, real-time communication between the dealer's WiTECH 2.0 tools and U.S. servers. 4. This complaint concerns a 2016 Airstream Interstate motorhome that has experienced multiple safety-critical failures involving the electrical system, engine starting system, fuel/propulsion system, and electrically controlled exterior components. While driving at highway speed, the exterior power awning deployed without warning or user input. The awning repeatedly extended and retracted uncontrol
... lably, and the control switches were ineffective. I was forced to pull over on the freeway shoulder, cut electrical power to stop the motion, manually retract the awning, and secure it to prevent detachment. This created an immediate risk of collision and danger to surrounding motorists. Additional failures include complete engine non-start, generator failure, and a severe propane odor originating from the exterior propane system. The propane odor was strong enough to trigger the interior propane alarm, indicating a potential fire or explosion risk. The vehicle is now completely inoperable. The engine will not start and the ignition key will not turn. The vehicle cannot be driven and would require towing for inspection. These failures occurred progressively under normal use and were not caused by collision, misuse, or modification. Vehicle: 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Component: Door latch / door ajar sensor system This complaint concerns a latent manufacturing defect involving the door latch / door ajar sensor system on a 2022 Ford F-250. The defect causes the vehicle to falsely indicate that doors are open when they are fully closed, triggering alarms and safety warnings and impairing normal vehicle operation. This failur
... e was detectable during the warranty period and manifested shortly after expiration of the bumper-to-bumper warranty, consistent with a latent defect rather than wear or maintenance. The same defect has occurred on multiple Ford vehicles purchased by the same family, including an identical repair performed on another Ford truck for the same door latch sensor failure. This demonstrates a patterned manufacturing issue, not an isolated incident. Numerous owner reports document this same failure mode on 2022 Ford F-250 vehicles, frequently occurring immediately following warranty expiration. The dealership declined to classify the failure as a defect and limited review to warranty dates only, refusing to provide a written determination or pursue goodwill consideration. Because this defect affects vehicle security systems and driver safety alerts, it warrants investigation as a systemic manufacturing defect. The dealership has also failed to repair recalls on the vehicle due to part shipment delays per their service team.Read more

Safety risk: This failure creates a hazardous condition when entering intersections, turning across traffic, or merging. On multiple occasions, the truck failed to accelerate when commanded. In one incident, I pressed the accelerator approximately 75% and the vehicle did not respond for 2–3 seconds, nearly resulting in a collision. Reproduction/confirmation: The issue has occurred multiple times under normal driving conditions from a stop or slow roll. It is intermittent and unpredictable. Inspections: At this time, the issue has not yet been resolved and has not been successfully corrected. (Inspection pending / not yet corrected.) Warning indicators: No warning lights, messages, or fault indicators were present before or during the failure. The hesitation occurs without any dashboard alerts. Additional details: The delay is not typical turbo lag or minor hesitation — it is a complete loss of commanded acceleration for several seconds, followed by sudden engagement. This condition makes the vehicle unsafe to operate in traffic.Read more

These were replaced but this also did not solve the problem and the vehicle would not pass the regeneration on the engine. During the next inspection it was determined that we needed to replace a cylinder and one of the valves. After this was complete they were still having issues and then I was told that the Piston was bad and there are (2) bad valves so I need an entire engine replacement. My truck only has 130,000 miles and has been in the shop for almost 2 months last year from engine issues and it has had all maintenance completed at he same dealership with Records.Read more

Vehicle was normal and during the drive a warning light for "Check Electric Vehicle System" was shown, then a second warning light "Stop Vehicle and Check Power Supply" was shown, within 2 minutes the vehicle went into "turtle" or reduced speed mode and then finally the vehicle shut down completely. I was on city streets at the time and was able to park safely, but if this had happened on and inte
... rstate highway it would have been dangerous. This is a known issue with this vehicle as it ended up being an ICCU Assembly failure. There is also a safety recall for this, but Kia is not replacing the part and just doing a software update that is not fixing the root cause of the problem.Read more

Battery drains overnight. Started with a boost all dashboard warning lights on, vehicle runs fine all day with many starts and stops, battery dies again overnight. Diagnosed with a bad fuel pump control module that continues to run and does not shut off until all battery power is drained. Mechanic changed the fuel pump control module, cleared all fault codes, and vehicle fixed. I saw a Carfax rep

My Nissan Leaf 2022 Electric Vehicle(VIN: [XXX] ) is subject to Safety Recall 25V-655 (Manufacturer Recall Number R25C8) dated September 30, 2025. As per the recall notice, the vehicle suffers from 'excessive lithium deposits within battery cells' which can cause 'rapid heating of the battery' and result in a battery fire. The manufacturer has officially instructed me NOT to use Level 3 Quick Ch
... arging (CHAdeMO) until a remedy is completed. This restriction substantially impairs the use and value of the vehicle, as it eliminates the ability to use the car for long-distance travel, which is its primary intended purpose. It has been over 3 months since this recall was issued, and the status remains 'Remedy not yet available.' The manufacturer has failed to provide a timely repair for this fire risk. I am currently driving a vehicle that is a known fire hazard and has restricted utility. I request an immediate resolution. 1.Please see my letter to Honda. 2.I drove for months with all of my warning lights on, not being able to tell what was actually wrong with my car/note being able to afford to fix my car that isn't even paid off. See letter to Honda. 3.Yes. It has been confirmed by my local Honda dealer as well as an independent service center. 4.I have filed a complaint with Honda. 5.Yes. All of my warning lights
... in the car would flash/stay on making it very difficult to figure out what the issue actually was. Letter: I am writing to follow up on my recent communication with Honda’s Goodwill Department regarding the fuel injector failure on my 2017 Honda CR-V. This situation has caused significant financial burden & frustration with a brand I have always trusted. Over a year ago, the fuel injectors began intermittently triggering the vehicle’s computer system, despite there being no actual mechanical issue. At that time, Honda acknowledged this was a “common” problem with this model year & advised it was safe to continue driving since the sensor was only barely tripping the system. I hoped Honda would issue a recall or extended warranty, as this is a known and widespread defect. That never occurred. This past weekend, the sensor failed completely & required immediate replacement at a cost of $1,000+—nearly identical to the estimate Honda provided over a year ago. My vehicle has only 96,000 miles, is not yet paid off, & was purchased as a certified pre-owned Honda. These factors are precisely why I have remained loyal to Honda. It is extremely frustrating that this same issue is covered under a recall or extended warranty for the 2018 CR-V, while the 2017 model—despite having the same known defect—is excluded. This inconsistency feels unfair, especially since Honda acknowledged this issue directly. I am requesting reconsideration for assistance. This failure was not due to misuse or neglect but a known defect that occurred prematurely. I hope Honda will stand behind its reputation.Read more

After dinner at a restaurant I went to pull out from the parking lot onto a road with a 40 mph speed limit. When I pressed the accelerator to turn, my truck felt like it was in a high gear and just barely moved forward. I let off the gas pedal and pressed again and the same thing. At this point I am drifting into on coming traffic without power. I hit the brake, moved to park, moved the settin
... g to SPORT and then moved back into drive and only then was able to operated the vehicle properly and safely. Fortunately the person on the road did stop and did not hit me, but this is a VERY DANGEROUS situation and something is clearly not working properly.Read more
