Before getting the recall completed on this 2018 Honda Fit I was experiencing the engine misfiring and engine stalling while driving as well as many warning light illuminating on the dashboard. When taking the vehicle to the dealership they found out that I needed a recall completed for the fuel pump so this may have been what was causing the engine misfiring, stalling, and illuminated warning lig
... hts on the dashboard. But, because I was experiencing a misfire they went ahead and charged me for a diagnosis so they can make sure there are no other issues going on. So after performing the recall on the fuel pump replacement the dealer technician says there in an active engine code and says its P0301 for engine misfire and with further checking says I need to replace a four fuel injectors with only 85,000 miles on the vehicle. Since this was the initial cause of the issue I thought this would be a recall as well but the dealer said it was not and wanted to charge me for replacement of all four fuel injectors. I believe since this is the same issue in regards to safety that they should be covering this under warranty or forced/voluntary recall. I would like there to be an investigation into this issue since this seems like a design flaw from the manufacturer which when reading the fuel pump recall says "the fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash" which describes the ongoing issue I have with my vehicle after the safety recall was completed.Read more

Vehicle: 2023 Hyundai Nexo Limited VIN: [XXX] Mileage at failure: ~12,077 Location: California What is the problem? After Hyundai performed Safety Recall 269 (thermally-activated pressure relief device) on my vehicle, the vehicle developed a hydrogen leak and was declared unsafe. Hyundai advised that no repair remedy is available. When did this happen? January 13, 2026, during attempted pickup fr
... om the dealership following recall service. What happened? My vehicle was taken to an authorized Hyundai dealer for Safety Recall 269. On the evening of January 12, 2026, the service advisor called and said the vehicle was ready for pickup. When I arrived the next day, the dealer attempted to bring the vehicle out. A malfunction appeared, and after over an hour, I was told the vehicle was leaking hydrogen and was unsafe to release. The dealer retained the vehicle and provided a loaner. The following day I was informed that the vehicle would be bought back and that no repair remedy or parts are available. Why is this a safety issue? The vehicle is fueled by high-pressure hydrogen. A hydrogen leak presents an immediate risk of fire or explosion. This defect appeared only after recall service and renders the vehicle unsafe for operation or storage. What has the manufacturer done? Hyundai has not repaired the vehicle and has stated no remedy exists. Instead, Hyundai offered only to pay off the loan and provide a small cash payment, without repairing the safety defect. Has this happened before? No. The vehicle was operating normally before the recall service. What do you want NHTSA to do? I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Hyundai’s recall remedy for Safety Recall 269 on the Hyundai Nexo and determine whether the recall repair is causing or failing to prevent hydrogen leaks, and whether Hyundai is providing an adequate safety remedy. I am submitting this complaint regarding a confirmed safety-related defect and manufacturer nonresponse involving my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys 4xe, VIN [XXX] . The failed component is the high-voltage hybrid battery system. The vehicle and battery pack are currently located at an authorized Jeep dealership and are available for inspection. The vehicle was delivered to the dealership on December
... 29, 2025 for recall-related service. On December 30, 2025, the dealership confirmed a high-voltage battery failure. A STAR case was opened and escalated to Stellantis engineering. The vehicle was immediately removed from service and has remained unusable since that date. Prior to removal from service, the vehicle experienced repeated loss of propulsion, Electric Mode Temporarily Unavailable messages, and driveline warnings during normal operation. These symptoms were reported over multiple service visits and documented by video. The vehicle was repeatedly returned to service with repair notes stating “could not replicate” and assurances that it was safe to operate, park indoors, and charge. Those assurances were later contradicted by the confirmed battery failure and recall-related safety restrictions, exposing my family and home to avoidable safety risk. The vehicle is subject to Recall Campaign 68C. Despite confirmation of a safety-related battery failure, Stellantis has not provided a written remediation plan, assigned a decision owner, or communicated a resolution timeline. The dealership has confirmed that further action is blocked pending manufacturer authorization. Stellantis initiated corporate contact by phone on January 27 and January 29, 2026. I responded in writing and by voicemail requesting written follow-up and confirmation of ownership. Stellantis did not respond in writing and did not return my voicemail. The fuel pump and fuel level system appear to be malfunctioning. After refueling, the fuel gauge on the dashboard fluctuates continuously and does not provide a stable or accurate reading. This fluctuation continues for several minutes after pumping gas. The vehicle also struggles to start, requiring multiple attempts before turning on. On multiple occasions, the engine has shut off unexpectedly w

The inaccurate fuel gauge also makes it difficult to determine the actual fuel level, increasing the risk of running out of fuel unexpectedly. The problem has occurred multiple times and is reproducible. The fuel pump and related components are available for inspection upon request. Dealer or independent service center confirmation is UNKNOWN at this time. Inspection by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives is UNKNOWN. Prior to the vehicle shutting off or struggling to start, symptoms included fluctuating fuel gauge readings immediately after refueling and continued erratic gauge behavior while driving. ... ctober 2025, my BECM (Battery Energy Control Module) failed. Luckily, due to significant Volt owner complaints, GM was forced to provide a special warranty on this item, so the work that would have cost me approximately $4,000 was covered under this special warranty. The BECM is covered for my 2016 Chevy Volt until 2030. Note again that the BECM is a readily available OEM part. In December 2025 my Chevy Volt check engine light went on again, and this time the Chevy Dealership is telling me that the main hybrid battery needs to be replaced. However, GM decided in their infinite wisdom to discontinue production of the Chevy Volt battery, and so they can't even sell me a new hybrid battery, a critical component on this vehicle. My understanding is that the 2016-2019 Chevy Volt battery is the same part #24060122. The Chevy dealership has asked me to see if I can find a battery on my own, as their parts department cannot source one (GM used "York Electronics" in Canada). As a result, I am now left with trying to find a used/refurbished hybrid battery. If my Volt was a 2019 (the last year GM made the Volt), then this battery would be covered under warranty (8 years from in service date), yet GM wouldn't even be able to fix a 2018 or a 2019 Chevy Volt because they stopped making the battery for ALL Volts. How can a manufacturer get away with not even providing parts for 10 years (in my case), or 7 years (2019 Volt)? I purchased a 2012 Corvette from Coast Chevrolet on 1-24-26. This car was supposed to have been inspected for safety issues prior to being listed for sale. Being that this is a reputable General Motors dealership I assumed all safety issues and recalls would have been up to date. I drove the car home about 90 miles and immediately put it in my garage. After about 30 minutes of it being in there I

It was a leaking gas tank caused by the fuel pump. I did my research on it and found that this was a known widespread, common issue and that a service bulletin was put in place because of it. This is something the dealership should have made sure it was fixed prior to selling the car. I want this issue repaired by the dealership free of charge.Read more
