On 12/22/2025, my fiancé and I purchased a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport from LaFontaine Ford in Lansing, MI. During the initial purchase, we were not aware of any recalls or vehicle defects with the Bronco Sport. Roughly one month later, the check engine light came on, and after a thorough vehicle inspection, we were notified that there was a recall on the vehicle in regards to bad fuel injector(s),
... and that we needed to bring the vehicle back to the dealership for a computer update. After dropping the vehicle off at the dealership, we were notified that the engine was blown due to a cylinder misfire as a result of a bad fuel injector. We were also advised that the dealership had already completed the computer update prior to our purchase and cleared out the codes (critical misfire). The negligence of the dealership put my fiancé in extreme danger with selling us a vehicle with a critical fault that could cause a vehicle fire! The problem still has not been remedied as Ford is asking up to pay $3,483.00 for a new engine with them covering $4,457.00. I believe all of this should be covered under the recall and/or powertrain warranty since this issue has been well documented with Ford Bronco's prior to us purchasing the vehicle.Read more

What failed: On February, 6, 2026, I experienced a complete failure of my Ioniq 5's electrical system due to the ICCU failing. The vehicle was such in a state that the hazard lights were not operational and I had no way of getting any heat. (It was 20F with a wind chill down to 14F.) It also happened in a bad part of town, meaning that I did not want to leave the vehicle unattended for a tow truck. This also occurred 60mi from home. Reproduced: The dealership it was towed to is not open until Monday, February 9, 2026 but the tow's rescue battery made the system run enough to report the Diagnostic Trouble Code of "P1A9096". Doing a quick search online for that shows a number of cases with the same problem. While waiting for the tow, I tried to start the car a number of times to no avail. Inspected: Not yet, see "Reproduced" section above. Any other signs/symptoms? Nothing until the "pop" itself. Once that happened, basically every warning icon showed up on the instrument cluster/screen.Read more

SUBJECT: Catastrophic Steering Failure and Erroneous Safety Recall Notification - 2014 BMW 335i 105,000 milles INCIDENT DESCRIPTION: While driving, the vehicle completely lost steering control. The electronic steering rack disengaged due to a failure in the aluminum mounting bolts. This incident resulted in a near-fatal accident in which the vehicle almost left the road and fell into a ravine. I h
... ave 360-degree camera video showing my steering wheel locking up and me struggling to survive. If you contact me, I can provide the video evidence. TECHNICAL BASIS: This failure matches the criteria described in BMW Technical Service Bulletin TSB 01 15 16 (and the previous NHTSA recall 14V-632), regarding corrosion and shearing of the aluminum bolts of the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) system. SAFETY REPORT VIOLATION (CRITICAL): The primary concern of this investigation is a significant discrepancy in the safety reports. When checking the official NHTSA.gov portal for this specific VIN, the system shows "0 open recalls." Similarly, the BMW recall portal also shows 0 open recalls. However, a thorough search of the history through third-party vehicle audit systems reveals four ACTIVE SAFETY RECALLS that have never been addressed: Driver's Front Airbag (Takata): High risk of shrapnel. Inflatable Side Curtain Airbag: Deployment failure. Fuel Pump: Risk of sudden engine stalling. Exterior Lighting/Reflectors. DAMAGES: As a result of this mechanical failure and BMW's failure to accurately report the open safety recalls for this vehicle, I have been diagnosed with severe Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and am currently under medical treatment. I have my medical diagnosis, which states that I developed PTSD as a result of my accident. I now depend on my mother to drive; the mere thought of getting into a car causes me intense fear. I cannot drive without being afraid. The vehicle is currently insured and available for inspection as evidence of this catastrophic failure.Read more

After recall-related software updates were performed on my 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, the vehicle began experiencing repeated electrical and climate control failures. The heating and defrost system stopped working, leaving the vehicle without heat and causing the windows to fog, which reduces visibility in cold weather and creates unsafe driving conditions. The vehicle has been taken to multiple a
... uthorized Ford dealerships for inspection and repair; however, the problem returned immediately after the repair. The issue was reproduced and confirmed by a second dealer. A required part is currently on back order until the end of Feburary, leaving the vehicle unrepaired for an extended period. In addition, the vehicle experienced 12-volt battery failure and slow charging after the last recall update. These issues were not present prior to the recall. There were no warning lights before the failures occurred. During severe winter weather conditions in Pennsylvania, the lack of heat and defrost made it extremely difficult and unsafe to operate the vehicle. Because of reduced visibility and freezing interior temperatures, the vehicle could not be safely driven and, due to frigid temperatures, has remained parked. I am still making monthly payments on a vehicle that cannot be reliably or safely used.Read more

I had stopped uphill, with my foot on the brake, heading East on the left lane of Pomona Road, at the approach to the Traffic Light Junction with Route 45, around 3.50 PM on Friday 1/23/2026. I could hear my car tires spinni
... ng with a smell of burning rubber from the tires as they spun on the road, as my car lurched forward, and hit the rear of the stopped car ~ 5-7 feet ahead of me. I felt that I had no control of my car and turned the engine off after the collision. I called 911 twice at 3.55 PM and 4.12 PM and waited as advised, for the Police Officer who arrived about 30 mins later. I filed the report and the officer was able to retrieve my auto license plate which had fallen off from the road where I could clearly see the tire marks on the asphalt from the spinning tires at the time of the accident. The only message I recall receiving on the display was one that informed me that I had experienced a crash after the collision. I had never experienced this problem before. Later ,after the Police Officer had arrived and documented the accident, I was able to drive the car home. The burning smell from the tires persisted for some time. The next day I called the BMW dealer in the AM, and with great trepidation, drove the car to the BMW dealership. I explained to the Service Advisor on duty on the Saturday, what exactly had transpired during the accident. I also explained this later to the BMW Body Shop manager when I spoke with him. I requested a full inspection and investigation by BMW. I personally do not feel safe driving the car again after this most unnerving and frightening episode.Read more

I have and am the original owner of a Kia Cadenza 2017 with the 3.3L Lambda engine (same engine as the Sorento lawsuit). The warning lights I got were p0171,p0174, and p0191, and am worried that after the repair the engine will eventually fail due to the buildup as the main issue isn’t properly being addressed. The issue occurred about 300 miles ago where the dealership erased it. Then told the vehicle did not have any issues. Brought it back to the Kia dealership where they finally gave a proper diagnosis after being told nothing was wrong with car. I am concerned as there are lots of owners online experiencing the same issues with their Kia cadenzas and nothing done about it. The Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) has intermittent failures. During the last failure, my wife was on a busy freeway (Interstate 5 near Hwy 120 northbound) in heavy but fast moving traffic. She was driving in the #2 lane (of 4 lanes) when she experienced sudden loss of propulsion. The vehicle slowed to 5 MPH in traffic that was moving 70 to 80 MPH. She had to traverse through the #3 a
... nd #4 lanes to the narrow emergency shoulder. Cars were honking and flipping her off. In the emergency lane, the vehicle completely died after 30 to 60 seconds. She was at risk of being rear ended during the dangerous 5 MPH lane changes and in the time parked in the emergency lane. She could not start the car for 15 minutes, after which the system came back to life. She was then able to start it and continue home. The first time the ICCU failed was in a parking lot. This is a known defect with Hyundai which they have attempted to rectify with Recall Campaign 272. However, they refuse to replace the ICCU. After the first event, they replaced the battery after 22 months/32429 miles. Now they want to replace the battery again after another 20 months/34k miles. What they don't get, is that the batteries have not prematurely failed. Instead the ICCU has intermittently and temporarily drawn the batteries down causing the vehicle to lose propulsion and die. They refuse to replace the ICCU because an error code they were looking for was not in the memory. They have performed three software updates on three separate dealer visits, but the issue has not been resolved. During the last visit they kept my vehicle for six weeks while I appealed through Hyundai Consumer Affairs and the Service manager appealed through his Dealer rep. But the factory engineers held firm and would not approve the ICCU warranty replacement, and instead wanted me to pay for 12V battery replacement. We don't know if there were any warning lights since my wife was busy navigating the danger.Read more

While picking up my daughter from school this week, I entered a school parking lot and began a low-speed right turn to pull into a parking space. During this maneuver, the car unexpectedly and abruptly accelerated forward. I reacted immediately and applied the brakes, but the car traveled approximately two car lengths beyond the intended parking spot. I came to a stop across two parking spaces. T
... his occurred in an active school pickup area with parents and children nearby. There were no cars or pedestrians directly in front of me at that moment. I still fear what the outcome might have been if anyone had been present. Immediately after stopping, I observed that the adaptive cruise control speed indicator on the instrument cluster was set to 15 and was crossed out, indicating it had recently been active and disengaged. However, I did not engage adaptive cruise control during that trip. Based on the car’s behavior and the display state, my best assessment is that adaptive cruise control was unintentionally engaged during the parking maneuver causing the car to attempt to accelerate toward a previously set cruise speed despite being in a low-speed, turning scenario. Again, I did not use ACC on this trip. A sudden acceleration in a school parking lot presents an extreme hazard. The only reason this incident did not result in injury or death was immediate braking and luck. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the incident. The car has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer. I am aware of multiple publicly shared videos from other Mach-E owners documenting similar incidents, some resulting in crashes. This appears to be a systemic adaptive cruise control design or software issue that warrants immediate investigation and correction to avoid serious injury or death.Read more

Catastrophic Loss of Motive Power and Power Steering at Road Speed Following Recall 68C Update. Description: On February 6, 2026, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (Mileage: 24,947) suffered a catastrophic safety failure while in motion on a public roadway. This occurred about 25 hours after the vehicle was "cleared" by a dealership for Recall 68C (NHTSA Recall 25V-741). While driving at approximately 25
... /30 MPH in Electric Mode, the vehicle suddenly displayed a "Service Transmission" warning and a red high-voltage "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System" error. The vehicle immediately lost all motive power and entered a "Limp Mode" (Turtle icon) that restricted speed to under 5 MPH. Simultaneously, the vehicle lost power steering and displayed errors for "Service Shifter," "Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) Unavailable," and "Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Unavailable." I was forced to drift the unpowered vehicle across lanes of traffic into a shoulder without power steering where another vehicle almost hit me. The vehicle revved excessively but would not provide propulsion. After a hard restart, I was able to move the vehicle at 20 MPH to a safe location, where it was subsequently towed to the dealership. This failure occurred after the manufacturer assured me the vehicle was safe following the Recall 68C software update. This is a life-threatening defect that caused a total loss of control on a live roadway. I am requesting a formal investigation into the effectiveness of the 68C software remedy. This issue presents a serious safety concern. During the initial occurrence, the vehicle was unable to sustain highway speeds for extended periods (approximately 10 minutes or more). When coming to a stop, the vehicle would shake, rev unexpectedly, lose power, and shut off completely. During these events, the vehicle would not accelerate, creating a hazardous situation, especially in traffic. The
... condition has since worsened. The same symptoms now occur upon starting the vehicle and during the warm-up period, increasing the risk of sudden engine shutdown without warning. Additionally, a distinct “gulping” sound is coming from the rear of the vehicle, raising concern that the fuel system may be compromised. No diagnostic or pending fault codes are present, and the local dealership has been unable to identify the cause. The vehicle has fewer than 100,000 miles. The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid has had multiple occasions, most recently on February 3, 2026 with 12,330 miles on the car, where the gas-powered engine fails to provide any power to the drivetrain. The car experiences vast power loss and enters "limp mode" where only the small hybrid battery is powering the vehicle. Max speed ranges from 10 - 25mph and there is little, if any, acceleration, ev
... en when the gas pedal is pegged to the floor. It is necessary to pull over, engage the flashing safety lights and try to find a safe place to park. After turning the vehicle off and on several times, eventually, the gas engines re-engages. The first incident of this type for this vehicle was on August 7, 2025 with approximately 4,400 miles on the vehicle. It was taken to the dealer, Key Hyundai of Salem, who could not find any DTCs and could not replicate the problem. They said "bring it back if it happens again." They next time was on February 3, 2026 where it happened several times on a trip to and from a local restaurant. This time, at DTC code of P088000 POWERTRAIN / POWERLOSS was recorded and reported. However, by the time the car was seen by Key Hyundai of Salem on February 5, 2026, the code has cleared itself. Hyundai's corporate policy is that historical codes can not be used for Warranty claims. So, the dealer tried one potential fix, cleaning the TCM connectors under the driver's seat, and returned the vehicle stating that Hyundai corporate would not authorize warranty work unless/until the car was presented to the dealership with a current / live DTC or visible broken parts. It seems unsafe to put a vehicle back on the road that could lose power and drivability at any time for no apparent reason. I am aware that there have been several other reports of similar POWER LOSS / LIMP MODE situations by owners of 2024-25 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrids. At the moment, I am told that there is no current Technical Service Bulletin on this from Hyundai.Read more

While driving, my vehicle has intermittently lost power without warning, creating a serious safety hazard. The loss of power occurs unexpectedly while the vehicle is in motion and is not associated with any driver input, weather, or road conditions. The issue has occurred on more than one occasion. The first occasion in March 2025. The issue appeared to be temporarily resolved but later recurred, i
... ndicating the underlying problem was not corrected. When the loss of power occurs, the vehicle does not respond to acceleration input and behaves as though propulsion is cut off completely. This happens suddenly and without warning while driving. This condition creates a dangerous situation, particularly when driving in traffic or at speed as was the case on 12/4/25 when driving 70 mph on the freeway, the second time the issue occurred for us. The car was immediately brought to the dealership on 12/4/2025 and remains there today. On the first occurrence the dealership attributed it to low battery charge and replaced both batteries. The dealership has performed inspections and diagnostics including:Battery testing and replacement,Wiring and harness inspections,Software updates to vehicle control modules,Extended road testing.Despite these efforts:The issue has not been permanently resolved,The dealership has stated the concern could not be duplicated,The dealership has indicated that fault codes were not always present. A STAR case has been opened, Jeep Customer Care has been contacted regarding this issue, and a field technician has been requested to come to the dealership to assess the vehicle. Despite repeated service visits I am submitting this complaint to report a recurring, intermittent loss-of-power condition that may not consistently trigger diagnostic fault codes but poses a serious safety risk for the car occupants and other drivers on the road surrounding this vehicle.Read more

I am writing to formally express my concern regarding serious and repeated safety-related failures with my 2022 BMW X5 xDrive45e, VIN [XXX] . I purchased this vehicle in 2022 through a custom build, at a purchase price exceeding $80,000, with the expectation of reliability, safety, and premium quality consistent with the BMW brand. In October 2025, while my wife was driving with my son in the ve
... hicle, the hybrid component safety box failed without warning, causing the vehicle to stall on the roadway. This created a dangerous situation for my family. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, repaired, and returned to me on November 4, 2025. Unfortunately, on February 3, 2026, a second serious incident occurred. After my wife picked up my son from school, the vehicle began jerking violently while driving, and a strong sulphur-like odor entered the cabin. Fearing for their safety, she immediately stopped driving. The vehicle was again towed to BMW of Jackson. I was informed today by the service advisor that the failure is due to another hybrid-related component, specifically the EME Hybrid Inverter, and that BMW North America is declining to cover this repair under warranty. These repeated hybrid system failures are deeply concerning, particularly given that both incidents involved my wife and children and posed clear safety risks. As a result, both of my children are now fearful of riding in the vehicle, and this situation has caused significant emotional distress to my family. Given the nature of these failures, the vehicle’s purchase price, and BMW’s emphasis on safety and engineering excellence, I find it unacceptable that a critical hybrid component failure would not be covered under warranty—especially following a prior hybrid system failure less than four months earlier. I am requesting that BMW North America review this matter promptly and provide a reasonable resolution, including warranty coverage for the EME Hybrid Inverter repair. My 2019 Honda Odyssey had an emissions code come up with OBD II sensor code of P219A which led to research revealing that the code was a result of fuel injector failure. I took my van to the dealer who revealed that based on my VIN, I am not eligible for the extended warranty issued by Honda in 2021. This has resulted in a $1900.00 repair bill that should be covered based on history and problems.

No warning. I had four high school wrestlers in my car and we had just gotten off the highway after driving for 7 hours from Panama City to Port St. Lucie when it happened. My car went into limp mode making it dangerous to continue to drive. My car is currently at the service center at Lexus of Treasure Coast off US1. The technicians have verified that l have a faulty fuel pump and mentioned the
... recall but stated my year was not included. With my vehicle being a 2020 I feel as though there is a high likelihood that my fuel pump and others are the same as what has been used on previous years that is not being recalled. I would appreciate you reviewing this matter as it seems enough of a coincidence that I could be right.Read more

Car engine seized and lost ALL power going 60mph down the highway at night with my child in the back seat. I have poured quarts and quarts of oil in this vehicle because it burns oil at an alarming rate until it eventually runs dry and the engine seizes. This is extremely dangerous and luckily my child and I were able to drift to the side of the road without harm and injury. Very discouraging tha
... t there are thousands of these cars and engines on the road that can literally seize up at any minute. Maintenance was performed and kept up with. The Oil pressure light had been flashing when the vehicle turned but was flashing even when oil had just been changed. These engines are dangerous and have people in a financial hard spot. I still owe $16k on a car I can no longer drive and that Hyundai is saying due to owner maintenance will not get an engine replacement. The Facebook group Hyundai Oil Consumption test has thousands of people dealing with the same exact issue on these cars and engines.Read more

The fuel delivery system, specifically the fuel pump and fuel rail pressure system, has malfunctioned and continues to trigger diagnostic trouble code P0191 (fuel rail pressure sensor range/performance), despite a prior recall-related software update performed by the dealer, and the vehicle and all affected components are available for inspection upon request. While driving on the highway, the veh
... icle suddenly began stalling, hesitating, and hard jerking before losing power and entering limp mode, limiting speed to under 50 mph and forcing me to immediately pull over, which created a serious safety risk to myself and other drivers due to the sudden inability to maintain highway speeds. The issue has been confirmed by an authorized dealer through repeated diagnostic scans showing the same fuel system fault codes, and the dealer has determined the fuel pump now requires replacement, indicating the recall update did not resolve the underlying failure. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealer on behalf of the manufacturer, and prior to the failure the check engine light illuminated and has remained on since, with symptoms escalating abruptly and occurring without warning, making this an ongoing and unpredictable safety issue.Read more

Parked a running vehicle, 2023 Buick Envision with 52000 miles and when I went to start the car again, it would not run; cranked OK but would not start, just "stumbled" for a few seconds and then nothing. Tried several times thereafter to start to no avail. Called for a tow and learned that due to a not running vehicle that has electronic transmission, could not put it in neutral to allow a simp
... le tow; tow driver had to put dolly on both front wheels and rear to tow to GM dealer. Original decision by service rep was that the fault was due to a bad fuel pump module. I called GM for any recall on this model and device only to hear that it was not a problem for them to present a recall. I am not the first customer that has had this problem according to your website and number of complaints with the same make, year, and model of Buick.Read more
