My entire engine and the right bank lifters failed. Thankfully, these issues didn't fail until my truck was parked in my garage. No warning lamps did not trigger until these issues started. There was no warning. I have been having engine issues with this truck dating back to 2022. I will include all documents showing the issues I've had in the past 3 years. On April 24, 2025, I plugged my Kia EV6 into my 48-amp hardwired ChargePoint HomeFlex at 7:26 PM. Around 10:30 PM I heard a noise outside but did not investigate. At 12:25 AM I noticed I had not received a “charging complete” notification. The Kia Connect app showed the vehicle at 74% and no longer charging. The ChargePoint app was unresponsive. The next morning I found the charger’s 60-amp
... breaker had tripped. After resetting the breaker and rebooting the charger, the EV6 would not start charging and displayed no “Charging started” or “Charging unsuccessful” message. I then attempted to charge using a portable Tesla Level 1 charger on a 120V GFCI outlet. The EV6 briefly announced “Charging started,” but the dash showed no charging data. The outlet’s GFCI breaker tripped. After resetting, the breaker immediately tripped again when reconnecting the vehicle. I attempted to drive to a nearby DC fast charger. Upon shifting into drive, the vehicle displayed “Check electric vehicle system” and entered power-limited mode (would not exceed 20 MPH). I returned home. While backing into my driveway, the vehicle triggered a red alert with “Stop vehicle and check power supply.” The vehicle was towed to a Kia dealership. They diagnosed a failed ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) and high-voltage fuse. The ICCU recall issue is known for this model. Repairs took over two weeks due to parts delays. The ICCU and high-voltage fuse were replaced. The ICCU failure also damaged my home ChargePoint charger, which required replacement under warranty.Read more

My fuel pump burned out after only 60k miles.... very expensive repair. Mazda said the problem was only with the early 2019 models so mine wasn't included yet my fuel pump did exactly what the ones included in the recall did, but I was left with over $1700 repair bill to replace the fuel pump. This time it was scarier as it shut off as a car was backing up from a parking spot. Fortunately, the driver saw the car and was able to stop before running into me. The car failed to start, and I had to get it towed. Could not tow it to the dealer since it was late in the evening. The next morning, the car did start, but all the warnings continued to flash on the dash. The car is being towed to the dealer where the "repair" was done. "Emissions system problem" engine warning light has been on for quite some time. I know there is a service bulletin related to this issue, but my VIN is not covered. There are also several other warning lights that occasionally pop up, and my Honda dealer believes these are all related to the initial warning light. They mentioned that sometimes these systems start shutting down so the vehicle runs
... properly. Recently I received "transmission system prolem" (in conjunction with the slew of warning lights I have frequently been getting). No apparent issues until recently when I was driving on the interstate. The engine started to become very loud and when I looked at the RPMs it was very high, over 5,000 RPMs. The car wasn't shifting out of first gear at 55MPH. I immediately slowed down and got off the interstate as soon as possible. After arriving home, we unhooked the battery, re-installed, and all of the warning lights were gone. Again, the Honda dealer believes all of these issues were realted to the "emissions system problem", which is part of a service bulletin that should be covered by warranty extension. I beleive my VIN should be included, and the recent transmission system problem which happened on the interstate was very dangerous and could have ended very badly, had I not been in tune with what was happening.Read more

The brakes squeal when reversing and sometimes when you’re driving forward coming to a stop. It has done this since the day I picked it up at the dealership. The dealership says there’s no remedy for it yet. The next thing is the front fog lights also draw moisture just like the rear reverse lights. Dealership says there’s no remedy for it or fix for it. I’ve had to have the radiator rep
... laced twice in this vehicle and it only has 44,000 miles on it. The dealership says it’s a factory defect. Not sure if that’s true or not. It was not covered under warranty so I had to spend $200 to use my extended warranty. I do not think that is right it should’ve been covered under the manufacturers warning, especially if it was a manufacturer defect. The last but most important thing is the lag when you give it gas. This happens from a complete stop or also like if you’re trying to accelerate to get on the highway you can press it nice and slow and it won’t takeoff or you can mash on it all the way to the floor and it still takes a few seconds and then kind of vibrates and pops like it’s trying to skip gears before it takes off and goes. Dealership also says there’s nothing wrong with it. I believe it is a factory defect or some kind of wiring problem. The reason why I think it is a computer or wiring issue is that if you put the vehicle in sport mode, it will not do it coming from a complete stop. It does do it when you’re getting on the highway even in sport mode. I am on a few Facebook forums and I see this problem where people report this problem all the time and ask how to fix it. I would like information on how to get Toyota to buy my vehicle back. These trucks have had so many issues with engine recalls, engine replacement, and other issues that are an actual safety concern and I do not feel like it is a safe vehicle to be traveling with my family. At 62000 miles, I was having a transmission problem but had no check engine lights associated with the issue. The day I took it to the dealership for the transmission, the check engine light came on for the first time ever when I started the vehicle. The dealership first said it was a faulty solenoid on the purge valve, replaced that part, but it didn’t fix the problem. The dealership then said
... it needed a new fuel pump control module, which was heavily back ordered due to demand. I needed the vehicle because it had already been at the dealership for a transmission replacement for many weeks and is my only transportation. The dealership told me other vehicles were there for the same problem, parts were on a national back order and being rationed to dealerships around the country. They could not provide an estimate for when my vehicle would be ready and pushed me to trade in my vehicle as a solution. The sales manager offered a very low trade in value, told me I couldn’t get the part faster by purchasing it myself, and was very pushy. She said my vehicle was devalued because it didn’t have the fuel pump control module needed for the check engine light to turn off, and had a history of transmission problems (even though it just got a new transmission). I got frustrated and ordered the new GM part from summit racing and had it on my doorstep in two days. I took it to the dealership and all of a sudden they had received a shipment of this part, and replaced the faulty one in my vehicle. Their repair resolved the problem, but I still had reliability concerns. Despite all repairs being completed, the sales manager said the vehicle trade in value remained unchanged. It was a complete nightmare and I felt my vehicle was being held back from repair resolution to convince me to trade it in for a new truck. I kept my vehicle and extra part I ordered in case this happens again.Read more

Routine Friday morning and just finished charging my 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 at Walmart. As I started my vehicle to finish my commute to work, the dreaded "Check electric vehicle system" warning light came on along with a red battery icon. There were no warning signs or anything that could have foretold what would be happening. I pulled into an empty parking stall and called the Hyundai dealer for
... advice. I was told not to drive the vehicle and get it towed to the dealership. After being diagnosed, my car will need a new ICCU and ICCU fuse. The dealership gave me no ETA as it often takes weeks to months to receive the parts from Korea. I was told Fontana Hyundai had 9 other cars with the same ICCU issue in line before mine. My Fuel pump recall was fixed on 06/17/2021 at 40543 Miles. On 12/8/22 at 56361 miles, my vehicle wouldn’t start and I got the battery replaced with the assumption that it was the battery. On 4/30/25 at 102,298 miles, I got my spark plugs replaced in hopes to resolve excessive cranking/ hard start issues I’ve been having since the recall. To my fault, I should’ve made a bigger complaint on t
... he hard start issues but didn’t think anything of it thinking it’s normal. On 12/30/2025, at 119,186 miles, I went in for a routine maintenance oil change, but replaced my battery based on recommendation also on hopes to resolve excessive cranking issues I’ve been having. On 1/3/2026, my vehicle wouldn’t start when I went out of town. Main reason I took it into service the week before was to make sure I don’t have any issues when I’m out at a foreign place and it did at a sketchy gas station putting my family in danger. On 1/7/2026, my vehicle wouldn’t start again. I took it in to Atlantic Coast Honda on 1/9/26 and they were able to replicate the issue but was told that they couldn’t do anything else. I complained to them that I didn’t feel comfortable driving my family around and also driving to far places for work but was told my vehicle has tested better since it was replicated when I brought it in. On 2/20/26, my vehicle wouldn’t start again. I brought it in on 2/21/26 for them to look at it again. I get a notice on 2/23/26 on the service recommended, and it’s to replace the fuel pump for $1398.71. I told them that I refuse to pay that amount when it was replaced based on a recall, and the part replaced is not even over 100,000 miles. Also the fact that I’ve had issues on starting the vehicle for a while and I’ve committed to replacing the battery twice, changing out the spark plugs in hopes to resolve my vehicle issues. This situation has put me in a bind putting me, my family, and other drivers in danger when I drive a vehicle that might stop working any time.Read more

The hybrid system in my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe repeatedly fails, causing the vehicle to lose propulsion, drop out of electric mode, hesitate, and shut off while driving. These failures have occurred in traffic and at highway speeds. The vehicle has experienced multiple safety‑related power‑loss events, including on JR Allen Parkway and I‑185, where the hybrid system failed to transition betw
... een electric and gas modes and the vehicle began losing power. Beginning in April 2025, the vehicle generated repeated Jeep Connect alerts stating “Electric charging failed for your vehicle.” These alerts occurred dozens of times over many months, indicating an early hybrid‑system malfunction. The issue is not related to home charging equipment, as the alerts come from the vehicle’s telematics system and the hybrid system later failed while driving. On February 5, 2026, the dealership’s Service Director informed us that the defect was identified, no fix exists, and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. FCA has not provided a remedy. The vehicle cannot be safely operated in electric mode due to hybrid‑system failure, and it cannot be safely operated in gas mode due to engine‑related safety concerns. The vehicle is unsafe in all modes of operation. This defect creates a serious risk of collision due to sudden loss of propulsion, inability to accelerate, and unexpected shutdowns while driving.Read more

The component that failed appears to be the hybrid propulsion and charging system, including the high-voltage battery management system and/or integrated charging electronics. The vehicle will not accept a charge from any home or public charging source. The high-voltage battery was replaced approximately one year ago; however, the charging failure persists. The vehicle is available for inspection
... upon request. In addition to the charging failure, the vehicle displayed drivetrain malfunction and start/stop malfunction warnings. While driving on the highway at normal speed, the vehicle lost power and stopped, creating a hazardous situation in active traffic. This sudden loss of propulsion placed my safety and the safety of other drivers at risk, as surrounding vehicles were traveling at highway speeds. Prior to the failure, warning messages appeared intermittently, including charging system faults and start/stop malfunction alerts. These warnings began approximately one year ago around the time the charging issue started. The vehicle was previously serviced and the high-voltage battery was replaced; however, the underlying issue was not corrected. The root cause is UNKNOWN, but the symptoms suggest a failure within the hybrid control system, charging module, DC-DC converter, or related electrical components. The failure has been persistent and unresolved. I am concerned that defects within the hybrid propulsion system may lead to additional sudden loss of power events.Read more

My VIN is subject to NHTSA Recalls 25V050000 and 25V894 for high-voltage battery fire risk. Per the manufacturer's safety instruc
... tions, I have been told not to charge the vehicle above 80%, which further degrades the vehicle’s utility. Additionally, the vehicle is subject to Recall 25V487000 for sudden loss of drive power. Mercedes-Benz has failed to provide a permanent remedy that restores the vehicle's safe operating performance. The combination of fire risk, restricted charging capacity, and unpredictable power loss makes this vehicle unsafe for road use. The manufacturer has formally refused a repurchase despite these documented federal safety violations.Read more

The open recall repair (NHTSA 23V-858) has not been completed. Additionally, there is a separate open recall, NHTSA Recall Number 25E-071 (Manufacturer Recall MMZ), involving 18-inch Honda Genuine Accessory wheels with improperly installed lug seat inserts. Both recalls remain unresolved. Beginning in approximately 2024, the vehicle exhibited intermittent jerking and stalling during acceleration,
... along with loss of smooth power delivery. No warning lamps were illuminated prior to failure. The vehicle was inspected in July 2025 after Wilkes-Barre Honda declined to provide assistance, and it passed inspection at that time. In October 2025, the engine failed to start, and the vehicle became fully non-operational. The insurance carrier was notified in October 2025 that the vehicle had become inoperable. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, law enforcement, or the insurance company. It is currently available for inspection but is not safely drivable. Loss of power while driving presents a risk of collision. Multiple attempts were made to schedule an appointment with Wilkes-Barre Honda regarding the outstanding recall; however, no response was received. The manufacturer was also contacted on several occasions, but no meaningful assistance was provided. Despite repeated requests, the dealership has not conducted a formal inspection or confirmed the cause of the failure. The vehicle has remained inoperable for several months. Under these circumstances, asking me to arrange towing is not reasonable, as delays in addressing recalls have created additional practical barriers to accessing necessary transportation and resources. *Note: I've included a phone number for this complaint but do not have one. Additionally, lack of vehicle access due to unresolved recalls had already created practical barriers in obtaining one.Read more

The ICCU system in my 2022 Kia EV6 failed for the SECOND time on the highway. The car threw an error telling me to "Check the electrical system" and "Pull over safely immediately" or something similar. Had I not made it to the shoulder, I would have been completely stranded in the middle of the highway, creating an incredibly dangerous situation. This is the second time this has happened with my E
... V6 in less than 50,000 miles on this car. I had to call a tow truck. I confirmed with the Kia dealership the ICCU system had randomly failed and was required to be replaced *AGAIN*. My wife was in the car with me and was freaked out. She doesn't feel safe in it because there's no rhyme or reason to when it happens. KIA says it is a known issue, and confirmed it was the second time this has happened to my car. No symptoms prior to it happening. We were just driving and then suddenly the car lost power and the warning displayed on the dash.Read more
