The vehicle is undriveable due to a high‑voltage enable safety lockout triggered by ECU identity/MAC mismatch after a software/update window; local service instructed me to ‘safely disregard’ active safety alerts contrary to vehicle telemetry, creating a safety risk. ... 26 — Low‑voltage undervoltage precondition recorded (DIF_a018). • Feb 03, 2026 08:46 — Identity/MAC invalidation alerts (CP_a089 / CP_a077); HV‑enable blocked cascade. • Feb 24, 2026 — Service app: estimate approval prompt; supervisor instruction to ‘safely disregard’ active HV alerts captured via screenshot. • Feb 27, 2026 — Persistent handshake stall (CP_a066, State B1) despite ‘successful’ software job and new firmware update to patch the 2026.2 tree branch software. Vehicle remains grounded. Safety Concern Vehicle telemetry states HV contactors are blocked to protect the vehicle; service staff advised to disregard active alerts. Inconsistent guidance risks unsafe operation. I grounded the vehicle pending engineering review. Troubleshooting and A/B Tests My home EVSEs successfully charge a different Tesla (Model Y). The subject VIN charges at DC fast charging (Supercharger) and once on a third‑party EVSE, but fails on my two home EVSEs thereafter. This localizes the issue to vehicle‑side AC charge path/charge‑port logic rather than the EVSE. Request OEM to provide CP waveform under load + Toolbox logs. Please log this safety‑related defect; aggregate with similar complaints, and, if appropriate, open an investigation into identity/integrity faults causing HV‑enable lockouts and conflicting service guidanceRead more

I am experiencing gas tank swelling, and am concerned about expansion/cracks in the tank. I’ve submitted three claims after taking the motorcycle in for review. KTM has ignored my concerns, as they will not reply. No diagnostics were complete, but I personally verified proper fuel line vents were not obstructed. Case numbers with KTM include CS0680873, CS0677844, and CS0646742. This gas tank is
... part of the rear subframe, so it is also a structural part. The plastics that were installed showed obvious signs of deformation at thru holes for bolt placement. I suspect improper thread loading on the thread insert for the tank that could leak to cracking and a thermal event (fire).Read more

While driving at approximately 8:00 AM in active traffic, the vehicle suddenly would not accelerate beyond approximately 20 mph. Warning messages appeared on the dashboard stating “Electric Motor Power Reduced” and “Driver Monitoring System Inoperative.” The vehicle lost normal propulsion power without warning. This occurred in the middle of the roadway and created a serious safety hazard
... , as I was unable to maintain the speed of surrounding traffic. Vehicles behind me had to slow abruptly, increasing the risk of a rear-end collision. The vehicle is currently under warranty and has been taken to the repair facility multiple times, including for prior safety-related concerns. The most recent repair visit involves diagnostics and/or a software update; however, the root cause has not been clearly explained, and the safety of the vehicle has not been formally confirmed in writing. Given that this incident involved sudden loss of propulsion in traffic, I am concerned about the reliability and safety of the vehicle.Read more

The fuel injection problem on cylinder 2 and 4 had injector electrical faults for the last two years resulting in reduced power warning. I finally took my car to the dealer for an analysis. problem is when you go to check the oil do you think you’re gonna find a low oil situation and what happens is the oil is actually overfilled however it’s not overfilled because you put too much oil in it. ... t. Supposedly this is a known issue after searching it on the Internet, this is known, and it happens with this making my vehicle. The manufacturer should be responsible for fixing it. Supposedly the fix is either changing the fuel pump or fixing the valves or maybe a combination of both either way the consumer should not be stuck with this. This is a design error or defect. It says there’s also a problem with the gasket I feel I should not have to pay to get this fixed. This is a designed defect and they sold the car this way knowing afterwards that there’s an issue with it. My crank case is filled with gas when I pull the dipstick out. It drips like water. If you look at the full line on the dipstick it’s about 1 inch over the full line and the oil is virtually useless. The car also runs an idles rough and it’s constantly idling up and idling down and that’s probably because the gas is leaking into the engine. Please look into this and I appreciate anything you can do. This is definitely a Ford issue. They should be responsible there’s nothing I did to this particles this problem. I maintained my vehicles. I did everything I was supposed to do and this problem arose because it’s defect in the car quite frankly if I would’ve known it, there’s no way I would’ve bought it. When I stopped again for gas, the same muffled noise occurred and the fuel level rapidly dropped again. Due to safety concerns, I took the vehicle directly to the dealership.I dropped the vehicle off on December 6th and it has remained at the dealership ever since. The vehicle is currently sitting in their lot with no remedy available. I am still making monthly payments on a vehicle I cannot use. This has caused disruption to my daily life and financial strain. Hyundai has offered to pay off my loan and provide 8% toward the purchase of another vehicle. This technical failure in the BMW B58TU engine (2019–2021) involves the variable-displacement oil pump's internal thermoplastic slide. In low ambient temperatures, the high viscosity of cold oil creates mechanical stress that causes this plastic component to fracture. The Safety Hazard The primary risk is a sudden loss of motive power. When the slide fails, oil pressure becomes unregulate
... d or drops entirely, triggering an immediate "Drivetrain Malfunction" or engine shutdown. Immobilization: Vehicles may stall in active traffic or high-speed environments without sufficient warning. Environmental Risk: Failures peak in extreme cold, leaving occupants stranded in freezing conditions while awaiting recovery. Detection Gap: The electronic oil level sensor often fails to complete a measurement ("Measurement Aborted") before a low-pressure warning appears, depriving drivers of a clear precursor to mechanical failure. Critical Technical Challenges Obfuscated Parts History: BMW has superseded the original plastic-vane pump with a revised metal-vane version. However, the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETK) now lists the metal version as the "original" part for affected VINs, making it impossible for owners to verify which version is physically installed without engine teardown. High Repair Barrier: Correcting this defect requires extensive disassembly, often costing $6,000–$8,000. If the failure occurs at speed, total engine replacement is frequently required.Read more

On Saturday at approximately 5:30 p.m., while driving on a two-lane city street with vehicles around me, my GMC Sierra began malfunctioning. As I attempted to safely pull over, the vehicle began stuttering and then completely stalled in the middle of traffic. Cars swerved and honked to avoid hitting me. Fortunatel
... y, no collision occurred, but the situation was extremely dangerous and frightening. AAA towed the vehicle to the GMC dealership. When I informed them of the incident, I received a text asking whether an over-the-air update had been performed prior to the stall. I confirmed the vehicle had received an update within the past three months. I was then told there is a bulletin stating that after an over-the-air update, the vehicle may suddenly lose communication with multiple modules and stall. The foreman indicated this was likely the cause and that they were consulting Technical Assistance. I asked when it is considered safe to drive a GMC vehicle following an update, as I was never warned that the vehicle could suddenly lose power and stall without notice. I was told they were investigating further. Yesterday, I was informed that engineering directed them to replace the ECM (Engine Control Module) and the Fuel Pump Control Module, with the ECM expected to arrive next Wednesday. I have not been given a confirmed timeline for completion. This appears to be a serious and known issue within GMC, yet there has been no recall and no warning provided to consumers. I was unknowingly driving a vehicle susceptible to sudden and complete power loss. This failure placed my life, my family, and the safety of others at significant risk.Read more

On January 31st, 2026, not long after starting a journey in my car, I got a “check electrical systems” warning. I was close to home so was able to turn around and drive home. Just before pulling into the driveway, the warning changed to a “power limited” warning. On Monday Feb 2nd, I had the car towed to my local dealership, where it has been since. The dealer confirmed that it was an i

I'm reporting a safety issue with BMW vehicles equipped with the B58TU engine, primarily 2019-2021 models. These vehicles have an oil pump with an internal plastic component that regulates oil pressure, and this part is fracturing in the field, causing sudden loss of oil pressure. The failure typically occurs during cold starts in low temperatures. When it fails, oil pressure becomes erratic or is
... lost entirely, often with little to no warning before engine damage or vehicle disablement. Warning signs, when present, include inability to measure oil level electronically, abnormal oil pressure, or sudden drivetrain malfunction warnings. These can rapidly progress to engine shutdown or severe damage from oil starvation. This creates a dangerous situation because the vehicle can become disabled without warning while driving or after startup. This is especially hazardous when cars become immobilized in traffic or during winter conditions when failures occur most frequently, leaving occupants exposed to freezing temperatures while awaiting assistance. Pump replacement requires extensive disassembly and commonly costs $6,000-$8,000, assuming no engine damage. A critical concern: owners cannot determine if their vehicle has the original plastic pump or the later metal revision. BMW's VIN-based parts lookup now shows updated components even when original plastic parts remain installed, and BMW has removed the original plastic part number from dealer networks entirely. Failures are reported across multiple production years, and the scope of affected vehicles remains unclear. Because this condition causes sudden vehicle disablement without adequate warning, especially in cold weather, I believe this warrants investigation as a potential safety-related defect.Read more
