I am reporting a failed remedy for Recall 24-009 (23V-858). Following the fuel pump recall, my 2018 Accord stalled in traffic on March 21. On March 24 upon starting my vehicle all warning lights were illuminated on the dashboard, Millennium Honda admitted the O-ring was misinstalled. This error triggered codes P0172/P0176 less than twenty-four hours later. The dealer is forcing me to pay $425 for

After we had our car serviced for the two recalls on the car, all of the check engine lights came back on again a little over one week later. We took it back to the dealership today and were told the fuel injectors need to be replaced, and they said this is a "common problem." We have been researching this issue and it is a common problem, so why isn't there a fuel injector recall? Our car has
... less than 54,000 miles on it but Honda is saying we will need to pay over $1700 for new fuel injectors, despite that this is a known problem.Read more

Unintentional acceleration.First, I was in line at car wash proceeding slowly ahead as directed in line. Foot on accelerator lightly moving, when car surged rapidly hitting back end of Tesla about 6-8 ft ahead (2/26/26 12:30pm) Impact strong enough to push Tesla into truck hitch damaging it front of it as well. Applied brake, but impact was too rapid. Second incident with my Volvo was a month la
... ter(3/22/26 about 10:30 am) and my husband was driving. . Made right turn on green light and started to accelerate when it revived and surged forward until applied brake. Dealer could not replicate. No codes but repair shop had to recalibrate after 1st incident and may have lost code on 1st incident(wreck). Now that insurance knows what happened, I don't know if they will intervene. hopefully. No warnings went off or messages. Airbag did not deploy. I believe that this is an unintentional acceleration, especially occurring twice now. Dealership says car is safe and they will monitor. I guess it means when we have another incident. Hopefully not fatal to us or anyone else. Dealer says it is a transition from hybrid electric to gas. But I have had this car 4yrs10months and this never happened until now. And the transition never has thrown me back in my seat or had the engine rev. The battery was replaced last August because of bad cell and recall on it for fire hazard. Maybe this could have an affect. On first incident I was in shock so thought maybe in hit accelerator instead of break, but when second incident occurred and it was exactly like first except no collision. Thatshow I originally reported to insurance and police as my fault. But that's not true. Now I called insurance to report dual incidents, two different drivers with unintentional acceleration. A week or so after taking the car in for an oil change, I was on the highway and heard a rattling sound coming from the engine. There were no indicator or warning lights from the dashboard. The car then stopped accelerating. It was on, and the accelerator increased the RPMs but the car did not move faster. I safely got home and checked the oil and it had less than a quart. There were no low-oil in
... dicator lights telling me the oil was low. Separately, this week, while driving in the city, the engine again started making rattling sounds and completely shut off forcing me to pull off the road. Again, prior to the shut off there were no indicator lights. I was able to pull to the side of the road safely. I tried to restart the car and it would idle roughly befor the engine shut off again. After waiting 30 minutes, I checked the oil to see if the previous cause was the culprit, but this time the oil was still full. After 45 minutes, I was able to restart the car and drive home. I researched the issue and there are many complaints on Reddit about this for this make and model. Since the issue is intermittent and can't be replicated at the dealership, there is no fix offered. I no longer trust or feel safe driving this car, especially on highways.Read more

I experienced an unexpected Loss of Motive Power (LOMP) event. Late afternoon traffic was fast, estimate 75-80 MPH. I attempted to change lanes get to the righthand shoulder and was very nearly involved in a high-speed collision with a semi-petroleum tank truck. He applied his brakes to avoid hitting me and started to jackknife, but regained control and continued. The truck missed by inches.
... At this point I had NO remaining power and was essentially coasting until I managed to cross the remaining two lanes of traffic to the shoulder emergency lane. I reset the error codes and continued home with no further occurrences. The incident produced the following warning lamps: Electronic Throttle Control Failure, Start/Stop System Failure and Check Engine, then a few seconds later the Limp Mode/LOMP event. I carry an OBD Scanning Tool with me to be able to clear the error codes when I encounter them. They are typically a cascading event that can result in LOMP. I have experienced a total of 26 of these error lamp events since 4/19/22 which have resulted in 3 LOMP's. The remaining 23 events I was able to reset before the inevitable LOMP. This is the first LOMP that nearly caused a fatal accident, the remainder I was able to safely find a place to stop to perform the resets. There is an active Manufacturer Recall Number93C, NHTSA Recall Number25V-586 that may cover this issue. The Recall Status is "Incomplete, remedy not yet available." The Alfa Romeo dealership has noted the P0191-00 error and replaced the fuel pressure sensor on 2/23/23, but this did not solve the problem. Owner's forums, and now the Manufacturer/NHTSA recall have reported this as a known problem, so I have been clearing my own error codes in order to at least have a car to drive. In my mind, this nuisance has now become a potentially very dangerous condition.Read more

While driving my 2021 Cadillac Escalade on an interstate highway at approximately 70 mph with my family, including two minor children, the vehicle suddenly and without warning lost propulsion, shut off, and shifted into neutral. This occurred in active traffic and created an immediate safety hazard. A warning message appeared instructing me to restart the vehicle. After several minutes navigating
... traffic, I was able to restart the vehicle briefly and exit the highway. Shortly thereafter, additional dashboard alerts appeared indicating critical engine and transmission failure. After exiting the highway, the vehicle shut down completely at a traffic signal and failed to restart. The vehicle was immobilized in an active roadway until police assistance arrived to prevent a rear‑end collision and a flatbed tow was arranged. The sudden loss of propulsion at highway speed placed vehicle occupants and surrounding motorists at serious risk. The vehicle is available for inspection and was diagnosed as having a seized engine on March 9, 2026, by Diamond Cadillac in [XXX] . This failure did not occur without warning. Prior to this incident, I repeatedly reported excessive oil consumption to the selling dealer, Otto Cadillac, from whom I purchased the vehicle in April 2025 as a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. On two separate service visits, I reported oil consumption exceeding two quarts between recommended service intervals and requested that this be documented. I was advised that the consumption was “within tolerance” and was later informed—incorrectly—that this tolerance applied to my engine configuration. Otto Cadillac performed a recall-related inspection and implemented the manufacturer-directed remedy consisting of an oil cap replacement and a change in oil viscosity to SAE 40. No mechanical repair or deeper diagnostic action was taken. The subsequent engine seizure confirms that these mitigation measures did not resolve the underlying defect. Safety Complaint – 2019 Ford Edge Transmission and Engine Shutdown Issues To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report ongoing safety-related defects with my 2019 Ford Edge, which I purchased new. At 30,000 miles, the auto on/off stopped working and was not fixed. After approximately 50,000 miles, the vehicle began shutting off after refueling. At 68,000 miles, the tr
... ansmission started shuddering during acceleration. There was no warning light, I just noticed that something was wrong. This behavior is extremely concerning, as it creates a risk of sudden loss of power while driving and could result in an accident. Ford is aware of these issues but has not issued a recall. I paid to have the torque converter replaced; however, the same transmission problem has returned. Ford has declined to provide further assistance. Additionally, the check engine light is now illuminated, which Ford attributes to a software issue. Despite multiple repair attempts and clear safety concerns, these problems remain unresolved. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration review this matter, as the defects appear to be systemic and pose a potential risk to drivers. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Read more

On 18 March 2026 I was driving at night at highway speed with my family (wife, [XXX] son, [XXX] daughter, and [XXX] son) when, without any warning, my 2023 GMC Sierra AT4 with 20,700 miles abruptly and violently shuddered and reduced speed from approximately 65 mph to 30 mph uncontrollably. Shortly after the initial speed reduction the vehicle presented simultaneous alerts that it was in "reduc
... ed acceleration mode", the "emission system control" had failed, and the that the check engine light was on. Although the vehicle claimed to be in reduced acceleration mode I was unable to prevent it from continuously slowing to 0 mph. I attempted to use the accelerator to move from the left lane of traffic to the right shoulder without causing an accident. However, the vehicle violently shuddered and would not accelerate or maintain speed. I managed to maneuver around traffic and stop the vehicle on the right shoulder. Due to the unlit highway and my family's emotional state after the incident, I determined the safest course of action was to attempt to get the vehicle to a nearby parking lot. After turning the vehicle off and back on, I managed to slowly drive with my flashers on (despite the vehicle continuing to violently shudder) approximately 1 mile to a Wal-Mart parking lot. Once there I noticed I received an email from OnStar Diagnostics that my vehicle experienced a significant engine malfunction with an associated P129F code. I coordinated for the vehicle to be towed to Bill Cramer Chevrolet GMC Inc in [XXX] the following day. My vehicle had no lights, messages, or symptoms of this issue prior to it occurring. The dealership replaced the fuel pump power control module under warranty, cleared the faults, test drove the vehicle, and returned to me on 31 March 2026. Vehicle: 2019 Acura RDX (Technology Package) I am reporting a serious safety issue involving sudden loss of engine power while driving. On March 14, 2026, I filled my gas tank before traveling approximately 1.5 hours out of town. The vehicle operated normally that day. The following morning, during snowy and icy conditions, while accelerating in traffic, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stall
... ed. Multiple warning lights illuminated on the dashboard (“Christmas tree” effect), and the steering became very stiff, making it difficult to safely maneuver the vehicle out of traffic. I was able to restart the vehicle, but warning lights remained on. The next day, while driving on the highway under normal conditions, the same issue occurred again. While accelerating, the vehicle suddenly lost power and stalled in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. In response, the fuel pump inside the gas tank was replaced; however, the problem persists. The vehicle continues to display warning lights and still loses power when accelerating. I contacted an Acura dealership after seeing reports of a fuel pump recall for similar vehicles, but I was told my VIN was not included. Despite this, the symptoms match known fuel pump-related issues. This defect poses a serious safety risk, especially when driving at highway speeds or in traffic, as sudden loss of power and steering assist can lead to a crash. No injuries have occurred yet, but the issue is ongoing and unresolved. I am requesting investigation into this issue as a potential safety defect.Read more

Sudden loss of propulsion at highway speeds - 2023 Escalade. We easily could have been killed. I drive a 2023 Cadillac Escalade that I purchased from Motor Werks Cadillac in [XXX] . It was very expensive. The car has under 33k miles on it, off memory.I informed the dealer I would be taking the car on a family vacation road trip from [XXX] to [XXX] (for spring break), and requested they perform a
... ny necessary preventative service on it to ensure it was in perfect shape to make the trip. They performed the service (basic air filter change etc) and returned the car to me two days before I packed my family [XXX] and [XXX] daughters and wife) into the car and began the journey. After driving less than three hours, the engine completely and suddenly died, without warning, while we were traveling at 75 miles an hour on the highway in the left lane in the middle of rural [XXX] . At the same time all of the electronics in the vehicle died as well. It was an extremely dangerous situation because the road is heavily trafficked by semi trucks, which I was barely able to avoid as I attempted to coast across all the lanes of traffic to get onto the shoulder of the road on the right hand side. Because the car was without propulsion, I was not able to get fully onto the shoulder, but mostly. This left the car in a precarious position because the semi's that we're driving by could easily have hit the car had they not been careful and veered slightly to the left. We easily could have been killed. There's more to the story, like the dealer telling me Cadillac is aware that catastrophic engine failure at highway speeds is a known issue impacting Escalades around the country, and including significant mental trauma that my children experienced by being stranded on the side of the road for several hours in the dark in a car that had no engine, no electronics and no heat. I also periodically on a weekly basis, took my pregnant daughter to her doctors appointment so she was exposed as well. My husband occasionally rode with me also among other people. After 3 1/2 months of my car being “fixed”, it was returned to me and I was told it was in perfect condition and Toyota corporate had inspected it. Approximately 10 days after picking it up, I took a long drive out on a highway with traffic lights on my way back. I started to fall asleep. I feel like I had bricks on my eyelids and it was only 3:30 in the afternoon. I almost crashed into a wall on the side. I rolled my window down and instantly felt better. My 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor has been suddenly losing power or stumbling upon initial acceleration. This has been occurring intermittently since it was nearly new. My truck now has approximately 10,500 miles. The problem has become increasingly frequent. It seems to occur most often when accelerating from a complete stop. The loss of power can last for several seconds, then afterwards, normal power
... is regained. It poses a safety risk since it has nearly caused collisions. Several times, the truck has lost power while making a left turn in front of oncoming traffic. It simply will not accelerate, and I find that I am stuck, unable to complete my turn and clear the oncoming traffic. Once when accelerating away from a stoplight, the truck lost power, and I was nearly struck by following vehicle. I have taken my truck to a local dealer who attempted to diagnose the problem and they didn’t offer a solution since they were unable to reproduce the problem during their road test. It has happened many times since then and I am scheduled to return the vehicle to the same dealership to attempt to diagnose and fix the problem again soon. The problem seems to occur, regardless of which drive mode the truck is in and also occurs with Electronic Stability Control both enabled and disabled. While driving, the vehicle lost engine power on three separate occasions (3/6/26, 3/10/26, 3/20/26) and had to coast to a stop on the road. One of the codes that appeared was P0087; the Honda dealership replaced the fuel pump kit (part # 06161-RLV-305) due to the fuel rail pressure being too low, but the vehicle continued to stall upon replacement after being picked up from the dealership. When it
... was brought back to them, they could not find a problem or replicate the stalling. This is a safety risk because the car is stalling for an unknown reason and will not start back up for 10-15 minutes. This is a safety risk to the driver and others because stalling could cause an accident or fatalities if the driver is unable to safely pull over. Fuel pumps are a known problem in 2017 Pilots and this vehicle was not included in the recall (SB 24-010). I paid $1694 for the repair from the Honda dealership and the problem is still occurring. Failure of Manufacturer to Act: The manufacturer (Kia America, Case #XXX) is currently refusing to replace the failed component under the recall mandate. They are categorizing the repair as "Goodwill" because the recall was "closed" by the unsuccessful software update. After taking a few minutes break, I restarted it and it was showing 1% battery; it gave me a little distance to travel until unfortunately the same warning displays. Fortunately, this time I was close to a place where I can charge the battery. The battery got charged to 100%, partly on the night of March 27th and the remaining in the morning on March 28th. The second incident was on March 29, 2026, on Sunday afternoon. As soon as the battery level reached <1%, the exact the same warning ("Stop Safety. Vehicle will shut off soon") was displayed. I slowly drove the vehicle to the side of the road and called my insurance company; I reported the issue and requested them to tow the vehicle to a nearby Chrysler dealership. As of now, the vehicle is at the dealership parking waiting for diagnosis. Based on my initial conversation with the customer service person, they don't know if this is considered part of any recall or not. Not only was I stranded on the road because of the above incidents, not having the vehicle at the moment is straining me a lot - trying to handle personal and work schedules.Read more

I started driving this vehicle and all of a sudden it started slowing down, and would not go up to speed. I had it fixed, the car started skipping, making a jerking movement while driving. I made an appointment with Tameron Honda of Birmingham on 3/26/26. As soon as I pulled up to Honda dealership the engine light was on. The company was trying to bill me 6100 dollars for fixing the car. I do not

I have been scared to drive this vehicle since the issue keeps happening.Read more

This vehicle is subject to NHTSA Recall 25V-655 involving the high-voltage traction battery. The recall restricts the vehicle from using DC fast charging (Level 3), which significantly limits the safe and practical operation of the vehicle for its intended use. My household must routinely complete 300+ mile one-way trips on a weekly basis. Without DC fast charging capability, the vehicle cannot r
... eliably complete these trips, creating a risk of being stranded or unable to safely reach destinations. Reliance on Level 2 charging requires extended delays of 6+ hours, which makes the vehicle impractical for its intended use and inconsistent with reasonable consumer expectations for normal operation. I contacted Nissan North America Consumer Affairs and was directed to work with the local dealer. I then contacted Dick Hannah Nissan in Gladstone, OR, who redirected me back to Consumer Affairs. As a result, no party is taking responsibility and no remedy or interim solution has been provided. The manufacturer has issued a safety recall but is unable to provide a repair, timeline, or mitigation. The vehicle’s primary propulsion system is effectively restricted, and the vehicle cannot be used as intended for necessary travel. I have requested a loaner or comparable replacement vehicle while awaiting a remedy, but this has not been provided. This unresolved recall creates an ongoing safety and usability issue, and the manufacturer has failed to provide a reasonable interim solution.Read more

I am a loyal Lexus owner since 1998 and have always recommended Lexus vehicles to my family and friends. In over 25 years of ownership, I have never experienced an issue like this. While driving under normal road conditions, my new 2024 RX 350’s AC condenser was punctured by small road debris, causing a refrigerant leak and loss of air conditioning. The condenser is located directly behind the f
... ront bumper, leaving it exposed to minor debris, which I believe is a design vulnerability. Damage at such low mileage suggests this may affect other vehicles of this model. Reduced AC performance could impact driver comfort and visibility in extreme heat, and operating the system with low refrigerant may cause further mechanical damage. I am submitting this complaint to request that NHTSA review this as a potential design defect affecting multiple vehicles. I have also contacted Lexus for warranty repair.Read more

On March 4, 2026, at approximately 7:30 AM EST, while driving my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited on [XXX] , the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of propulsion while traveling at approximately 70 mph (posted speed limit). The vehicle would not accelerate or maintain speed and would not move forward when placed in drive, indicating a failure within the powertrain/transmission system. The vehicle is c
... urrently located at a Hyundai dealership and is available for inspection upon request. This incident created a significant safety risk, as I was traveling at highway speed in active traffic when the vehicle unexpectedly lost the ability to move under its own power. This placed me at risk of being rear-ended and made it difficult to safely maneuver out of traffic. The vehicle was inspected by a Hyundai dealership. Diagnostic trouble code P284001 (Shift Fork “D” Position) was identified, and I was informed the failure is transmission-related. The condition was reproduced by placing the vehicle in drive, at which point the vehicle would not move. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership. The manufacturer has been notified but has not physically inspected the vehicle. No police or insurance inspection was involved. There were no warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. The issue occurred suddenly without any indication of a problem. Nissan Recall R25C8 (NHTSA ID: 25V655), Incomplete, remedy not available Primary Issue: High-voltage battery fire risk during Level 3 (DCFC) charging due to excessive lithium deposits. I have been told by Nissan not to use Level 3 fast charging. This has significantly impaired the utility of my vehicle due to: - Limited Range/Utility: Without fast charging, I can't use the car for trips beyond i
... ts immediate single-charge radius, basically turning a long-range EV into a local-only car. The proposed software may limit charging or prevent the vehicle from restarting if it detects a dangerous condition, rather than permanently fixing the defect. - Time Loss: I can't charge at home unless (only overnight & if weather permits) I run a cable out of my apartment window, across the grass & sidewalk for a trickle charge (Level 1). Otherwise I have to drive to a Level 2 charger & wait many hours to charge up. This is significantly longer, makes it impossible to quickly 'top off' as advertised. For comparison: L3 (DCFC) gets me at least 15% in about 15 minutes (60% per/hour); L2 only gets 11% per/hour. L1 only gets 2% per/hour. Without DCFC this car is almost useless. - Diminished Value: Nissan sold me a $38,000 car & I'm concerned that a software-only 'fix' that may throttle charging speeds or simply disable the car if it detects heat will permanently reduce the vehicle's market value. I actually expected to keep this car for the rest of my life, but the CHAdeMO system (which appears is becoming un-supported) that also lacks a cooling system, makes that very unlikely. - Impact to income due to part-time employment that requires travel, which the LEAF was capable of doing with DCFC stops. Now, I need to rent a vehicle for these events. Purchased Cherry Hill Nissan March 11, 2022 2/3/2026: Nissan Service appointment. They are still unable to fix the recall issue, whether via software or hardware. 3/18/2026: I received another safety recall notice. Still no solution.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding Hyundai Motor America's failure to complete a vehicle repair in a timely manner on my 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 (VIN: [XXX] ), which has been at Hyundai of Leander, an authorized Hyundai service center in Leander, Texas, since September 2025 — more than six months — awaiting a replacement high-voltage battery. (Case No. XXX) I purchased this vehicle in Septembe
... r 2025 from Apple Sport Imports in [XXX] . The vehicle was sent immediately to Hyundai of Leander for an open repair and I never took full delivery. I was informed the replacement battery was initially allocated to a different dealership and a new order could not be placed until approximately January 2026. As of March 2026, Hyundai's own case manager confirmed in writing on March 30, 2026 only that they are working to determine the battery's arrival date with no confirmed completion date provided. Since November 2025, I have made 5 monthly payments of $513.92 totaling $2,569.60 on a vehicle I have never driven, with a sixth payment of $513.92 due in April 2026. I am also flagging a potential records discrepancy for NHTSA's awareness. When I checked my VIN on Hyundai's recall lookup website, Recall 272 — covering an ICCU software update, fuse replacement, and ICCU replacement on 2022-2024 MY IONIQ 5 vehicles — is listed as a Closed Campaign with a completion date of October 24, 2025. My vehicle was physically at Hyundai of Leander awaiting parts on that date and remains there today. I do not know whether this recall is related to the current open repair, but I am flagging the potential discrepancy for investigation. When I raised this with Hyundai of Leander's service department, I received no clear explanation. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate Hyundai Motor America's recall fulfillment practices and the accuracy of their recall completion records for this vehicle. ... ure control failure. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates a safety risk due to the potential for sudden engine failure and loss of power while driving, which could occur without warning and increase the risk of an accident. The problem has been confirmed by an independent repair facility, which identified low oil levels, coolant loss, and symptoms consistent with internal engine damage. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer. Prior to the failure, warning signs included a low oil pressure condition and engine performance changes. These symptoms developed rapidly over a short period of time. The vehicle is currently not safe to operate due to the risk of further engine damage or sudden failure.Read more

I am reporting a serious and ongoing safety issue involving my 2023 Kia Forte GT. The vehicle has experienced persistent mechanical problems, including a check engine light and multiple diagnostic trouble codes, including P0420 (catalyst system efficiency below threshold – Bank 1), P0300 (random/multiple cylinder misfire), P0304 (cylinder 4 misfire), and P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire). These codes h
... ave appeared as stored, pending, and permanent, indicating ongoing and unresolved engine and emissions system issues. In addition to these mechanical problems, the vehicle is emitting strong and concerning chemical fumes into the cabin during operation. These fumes are noticeable while driving and create a hazardous environment for occupants, raising concerns of toxic exposure and making the vehicle unsafe to operate. The vehicle also exhibits drivability issues, including jerking and performance irregularities when accelerating. Despite multiple attempts to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired under warranty at authorized Kia dealerships, including All Star Kia East and All Star Kia Seigen Lane, the dealerships have refused to properly diagnose or repair the vehicle. I have been informed that my vehicle or account is “flagged in all systems,” and service has been denied on that basis. The refusal to address an emissions-related defect, combined with active misfires and the presence of chemical fumes entering the cabin, presents a serious safety risk. I am requesting that this issue be investigated as a potential safety defect affecting this vehicle.Read more
