First purchased this car from a dealership in 2023, used at128,051 miles. Did not have any problems with it in the first year I would say. Then suddenly while driving down the road the epc light would come on limiting my speed to 4,000 rpm. It would come on and off also causing my check engine light to come on and off. It has now become more frequent, the epc and check engine lights will come on a

It looks to be a common problem with this model but it’s showing my vin is not attached to a recall.Read more

While traveling at normal highway speeds (55 MPH), the vehicle's battery capacity rapidly dropped from 80-90% down to 10% in less than 30 seconds, resulting in activation of the vehicle's "turtle mode" and power throttling, which made it impossible to maintain posted highway speed of 55 MPH. A warning appeared on the dashboard, which stated, "Warning Power Reduced". The vehicle traveled at approxi
... mately 40 MPH creating a serious hazard to others on the roadway who were traveling at the posted speed limit of 55 MPH. Upon pulling over to the side of the freeway, the battery charge rebounded back up to 75%, but maintained power throttle, making it unsafe to reenter the roadway, as the vehicle was incapable of accelerating to the posted speed limit of 55 MPH. It was extremely slow to accelerate at all, making it from 0 - 40 in about a minute, which again, was extremely hazardous to others on the roadway. Nissan has since acknowledged that this was due to a factory defect, and covered under their factory warranty. I have attached photos of the warning message displayed, and have videos of the rapid battery loss, but those files are too large to attach.Read more

I experienced repeated stalling, loss of drive power while on the highway, limp mode, and all dashboard warning lights over several years. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership multiple times and specifically asked whether these symptoms were related to the known fuel pump recall. Each time I was told the recall was not the cause. I was also told recall parts were unavailable or
... delayed. Based on dealership misdiagnoses, I paid out of pocket for multiple repairs including spark plugs and ignition coils which they claimed were the reason for my car acting up, that did not resolve the issue. Among other repairs I did on my own like replace the battery twice and what not. I have since received Honda’s official recall notice confirming that a faulty fuel pump causes the exact symptoms I reported. My vehicle is now completely inoperable it does not start and cannot be driven or transported. I have filed two claims with Honda Corporate, both denied based on mileage. I believe the vehicle’s failure is a direct result of Honda’s failure to address the recall in a timely manner and the dealership’s repeated misdiagnosis.Read more

4/6/2026 vehicle stalled in traffic multiple times, entered "Limp Mode", unable to accelerate after stopping or after deceleration. I had to press the gas to the floor to get the vehicle to move. The Kia Access App displayed the BMS Warning and code P0AA600 (High Voltage Isolation Fault). I provided a screenshot of the Kia Access App showing the active BMS Warning and active P0AA600 code at 2:48PM on 4/8/2026. The Service Advisor maintained that they could not find any active or history codes. At 3:00PM the same day, the Kia Access App suddenly showed "No Issues Found". The code was obviously manually cleared. I filed a complaint with Kia Customer Care the same day (4/8/2026) and requested a Kia Technical Specialist be assigned to the case. On 4/12/2026, the original Kia Service Advisor stated "the history code has finally appeared which was the one presented in the screenshot but we cannot replace parts based off of a code that is no longer active unfortunately". He stated they would "keep driving and testing" to try and duplicate the issue. The Kia Access App shows the last trip was 4/7/2026 (the day after I dropped off the vehicle). Interestingly, the vehicle was not moved from the drive up lane at the Service Center until 10:40AM that day, after being dropped off at approximately 6PM the evening prior. A fuel system-related safety recall (SC356) remains incomplete on the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an authorized Kia dealership in Jersey City, NJ, where I was informed that the recall repair had been completed. I paid for towing to the dealership for this repair. However, after picking up the vehicle, it immediately began exhibiting worsening symptoms, including engine shaking, rough operat
... ion while driving and idling, and prior stalling incidents. A check engine light also appeared after the visit. Upon further verification, the recall still shows as incomplete. This indicates that the recall repair was either not performed or not completed correctly. The issue appears to involve the fuel system, as the symptoms worsened after refueling and include unstable engine performance consistent with improper fuel delivery or air entering the system. This condition creates a safety risk due to potential engine stalling while driving, as well as the known recall risk involving fuel tank deformation and possible fire hazard. The problem has not been properly resolved by the dealership, and the vehicle is currently unsafe for normal use. The failed recall repair is available for inspection.Read more

Vehicle: 2022 Volkswagen Taos Mileage at Incident: 61,170 On April 21, 2026, while driving shortly after leaving my home, the EPC (Electronic Power Control) warning light suddenly illuminated and the engine warning light began flashing rapidly. The vehicle immediately began jerking, hesitating, and losing power. It started slowing down unexpectedly while in motion. This created a serious safety
... hazard. I was forced to reduce speed and maneuver to the side of the road to avoid being rear-ended. The sudden loss of power in traffic placed me and other drivers at risk of a collision. After turning the vehicle off and restarting it, both warning lights disappeared. Notably, on April 3, 2026 (60,428 miles), I had an oil change performed. On April 6, the engine light came on and remained illuminated until April 18, then turned off without repair. Three days later, the EPC failure occurred. The dealership was unable to reproduce the issue but charged $190 for diagnostics and stated the problem was a cracked N80 valve line (small leak), quoting approximately $700 for repair. I am aware of reports involving similar issues affecting thousands of vehicles of this model year. Sudden loss of engine power while driving is a clear safety concern, especially when warning lights appear and disappear intermittently. The vehicle remains available for inspection.Read more

After Honda Safety Recall 24‑027 (“Replace the fuel pump motor”) was performed on my 2018 Honda Civic Si at an authorized Honda dealership, the vehicle began exhibiting fuel‑system‑related issues that did not exist prior to the recall work. Within one day of the initial recall repair, the vehicle developed hard‑start/extended‑crank behavior. The dealership later reported they had pin
... ched an O‑ring during the recall work and replaced it. Next, I detected a fuel odor. After multiple refueling cycles to isolate the source, I reported the issue, and the dealership replaced an unspecified seal. Approximately one week after that repair, the vehicle developed a rich‑running condition and illuminated the check engine light with DTC P0172. On 2026‑03‑27, the dealership diagnosed the issue as failed fuel injectors and recommended replacement of all injectors, the fuel joint pipe, and associated seals. Their testing showed: EVAP system functioning normally; no induction leaks; MAF swap produced no change; fuel rail pressure at idle ~500 psi; and cylinders 1, 2, and 4 running rich relative to cylinder 3. Because the fuel system was disassembled multiple times immediately before the onset of the rich condition, and because the dealership acknowledged that contamination during recall work could plausibly cause injector malfunction, I am concerned that the post‑recall defect may be related to the recall procedure or subsequent rework. The dealership's alternative rationale was that fuel injector failures are so common on this platform that the failure was coincidental. That would imply the need for a fuel injection system recall. I am submitting this complaint because the vehicle developed fuel‑system performance and emissions issues only after the recall repair and subsequent rework, and the root cause remains uncertain. I request that NHTSA document this case and evaluate whether the recall procedure or related components may contribute to downstream fuel‑system failures.Read more

[Incident Description & Manufacturer's Bad Faith] On April 6, 2026, an authorized Honda dealership (McConnell Honda in Montgomery, AL) diagnosed my vehicle (2019 Honda Odyssey EX-L, 143,097 miles) with DTC P219A (Rec replacing fuel injector set and fuel feed pipe at this time), requiring a fuel injector replacement. This exact mechanical failure is documented in Honda’s official Service Bullet
... in 21-010. The bulletin acknowledges that defective fuel injectors can cause engine misfires, loss of motive power, and engine stalling while driving. These conditions present an immediate and severe safety hazard. Honda established a 150,000-mile warranty extension limit for this defect in TSB 21-010. My vehicle has 143,097 miles and is well within this limit. However, American Honda Corporation has arbitrarily refused to repair the vehicle. Furthermore, on April 21, 2026, the assigned Honda Case Manager left a voicemail officially denying the repair. He explicitly refused my repeated requests to provide this denial in writing. In the voicemail, he falsely stated that my vehicle at 143,000 miles is "well outside the range" for assistance, directly contradicting Honda's own written 150,000-mile bulletin. Please review the attached documents, including the official dealership diagnostic report (DTC P219A), the repair estimate, and a copy of TSB 21-010. I have also secured the audio recording of the case manager's voicemail to prove their bad faith. Honda is knowingly leaving a dangerous vehicle with a confirmed, documented fuel system defect on the road, while actively providing false information to the consumer to avoid repair costs. I strongly request the NHTSA to investigate Honda's deceptive and dangerous practice.Read more

System/Component Involved: Fuel System / Fuel Injectors / High-Pressure Fuel Joint Pipe Description of Incident and Safety Risk: My 2017 Honda CR-V (1.5T engine) experienced a fuel system failure evidenced by DTC P0172 and a failed AF cylinder test, confirmed by an authorized Honda dealer. This failure leads to engine hesitation and power loss, creating a safety hazard during operation. More cri
... tically, during the repair (Case #16244235), the dealer and manufacturer refused to replace the High-Pressure Fuel Joint Pipe. According to Honda’s official Service Manual and TSBs for the Earth Dreams 1.5T engine, this pipe is a mandatory, one-time-use component that must be replaced whenever fuel injectors are serviced. Reusing this component violates Honda’s own safety protocols and poses a severe fire risk due to potential fuel leakage under high pressure ($20\text{ MPa}$+). Safety Risk to Others: Reinstalling a non-reusable high-pressure fuel line creates a high probability of fuel spraying onto hot engine components, leading to an under-hood fire while driving. This endangers the occupants and others on the road. Reproduction and Inspection: The injector failure was confirmed by [Insert Dealer Name] in Houston, TX. The subsequent safety violation (failure to replace the mandatory fuel joint pipe) is documented on my repair invoice dated April 2026. The vehicle and the old part (if still on the car) are available for inspection. Symptoms and Warning Lamps: The Check Engine Light (DTC P0172) appeared shortly before the failure, accompanied by a strong gasoline odor and engine stalling symptoms.Read more

This matches the pattern of consumer complaints described in Bissell v. American Honda Motor Co which catalogs hundreds of similar ODI complaints and alleges that American Honda has known of, and concealed, a defect in its 1.5L i-VTEC turbocharged engine since at least 2016. Safety concern: misfire events at freeway speed produce sudden loss of power, limp-mode activation, and the risk of unexpected deceleration in traffic. The class complaint documents multiple incidents of sudden stalls and engine failures in comparable vehicles, including on highways. I am filing this complaint to ensure ODI has a record of this incident and to support any existing or future investigation of this engine. While operating the vehicle under normal driving conditions, the engine experienced a significant loss of power and reduced acceleration. The issue is believed to be related to turbocharger failure within the engine system. The loss of power created a safety concern, particularly when attempting to merge into traffic and maintain highway speeds. The vehicle did not respond as expected when accele
... ration was needed, which could increase the risk of an accident in certain driving situations. The problem has been confirmed by a dealership service department, and the vehicle is currently available for inspection. The diagnosis indicates that the turbochargers require replacement. Prior to the failure, there were limited warning signs. Any warning indicators were either minimal or appeared shortly before the issue became noticeable. The failure occurred at approximately 107,000 miles. Based on publicly available information, similar failures have been reported on this vehicle model, suggesting a possible pattern related to the turbocharger system.Read more

On the trouble occurances were R080 downshift to first gear notch caused by faulty outpost shift speed loss sensor. Also code of 19s 07 needs reprogram the powertrain control module has been common and I don't believe wiring is the issue thus the sensor is but reprogram itself is factor although it caused various issue like noise installing from park notch to drive notch, cannot increase or stay constant stead on speed, sometimes caused vibration that had no equality the pcm does not make correct specific of the fault. I checked with auto zone to do diagnosis code on mine was much unspecfic and inaccurate fact in which was not fact thus the manufacturer fails to program the correct troubleshoots. Pcm is very bad. On March, while I was leaving to take my children to school, I discovered a loud, heavy metallic knocking sound coming from the engine of my 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. As I depressed the gas pedal, the knocking frequency increased immediately with the engine RPMs. Prior to this total failure, I had noticed the truck feeling hesitant and "stuttering" when I was trying to accelerate from red lights in t
... he days leading up to the incident. Because I was concerned the engine would stall or fail completely while my children were in the vehicle, I immediately stopped driving it. A subsequent inspection at Don White’s CDJR confirmed DTC P051B-00 (Crankcase Pressure Sensor Performance). This fault is a recognized indicator of excessive crankcase pressure, which NHTSA has identified as a precursor to sudden engine stalling and fire risks in 3.0L EcoDiesel engines (Ref: Recall 19V-757).Read more

Fuel injector was main issue and was replaced. No check eng light. 3rd Incident: May 2024 was driving about 75MPH in the fast lane when the car stalled. I was unable to move fully out of the lane as the car just died. I was half in the shoulder and the fast lane. I was crying with fear while I had to wait for CHP to move me. Multiple times feared other cars would hit me at 80MPH+ while I waited 30mins+ for CHP to stop traffic and move me to the shoulder. Took the car to the dealership for the second time to be "fixed" for the same issue as Nov. 2023. Fuel injector, and catalytic converter were "replaced". This now being the second time for the fuel injector issue. No check eng light. 4th Incident: April 2026 driving on a school night home from dinner with my son at about 9:45pm. It was raining and was traveling at about 55MPH on the highway. Car started to stall/ shut down again. Was able to go about15MPH to a safe spot and waited for assistance late at night. A Kia dealer found the engine 2 quarts low, with no external leak, and recommended replacing the catalytic converter at a cost of over $6,000. An independent mechanic confirmed code P0420, which indicates catalytic converter failure. Has the vehicle been inspected by the manufacturer? The vehicle was inspected by an authorized Kia dealer, but they did not complete the required inspection for Recall SC336 (defective piston oil rings). They did add the software. Were there warning lamps or other symptoms? Yes. The oil pressure warning light and other dashboard lights came on. The engine made a rattling noise. The vehicle later felt sluggish on acceleration, fuel economy dropped, and the exhaust developed a smell. The check engine light came on and later turned off, but code P0420 was stored in the system.Read more

The vehicle is also subject to a separate HVAC/defrost-related safety issue that may impact visibility and safe operation, also without an available fix. I made multiple documented attempts to resolve this directly with Nissan Consumer Affairs, including a formal escalation sent via certified mail. Nissan has failed to respond. Additionally, prior written correspondence from Nissan referenced an incorrect vehicle model (“Rogue”) despite having my correct VIN on file, raising serious concerns regarding the accuracy of the review conducted on my case. I am continuing to incur financial hardship for a vehicle I cannot safely or practically use. NHTSA records confirm this recall remains incomplete with no available remedy, and that continued use of Level 3 charging presents a risk of battery fire. I am requesting investigation into the lack of remedy and manufacturer responseRead more
