I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2025 Hyundai Palisade. The vehicle has repeatedly produced white smoke during cold start and has experienced loss of engine power while driving. Despite multiple repair visits (six times) to an authorized Hyundai dealership, the dealer repeatedly stated that the condition could not be reproduced and no repairs were performed. I provided video evid
... ence of the white smoke and described the symptoms in writing at each visit. Shortly after the most recent service visit(12/22/25), within approximately five days, the vehicle displayed an “Engine Power Limited” warning message and a malfunction indicator light (MIL). When this occurred, the vehicle’s power was significantly reduced, making it difficult to maintain speed and creating a potentially dangerous condition, especially during highway driving or merging into traffic. This issue poses a serious safety risk because sudden loss of engine power can increase the risk of collision. The problem appears to be intermittent but recurring, and it has not been properly diagnosed or corrected by the dealership despite repeated opportunities. The vehicle has not been repaired for this condition, and the defect remains unresolved. The condition may be available for inspection upon request, and diagnostic data such as warning messages and onboard fault codes should be present in the vehicle’s system. The failure began with white smoke during cold start and later escalated to engine power limitation and warning lights.Read more

Back on October 10th, 2025, I took the software update related to the A7C recall. On October 11th, my vehicle became totally bricked and undriveable due to this update. It has been 4 months since this began and
... there is STILL no remedy or any updates on when a remedy may be available. When running the vehicle in electric mode (and sometimes hybrid), there seems to be an issue with acceleration. When pressing the pedal, the vehicle begins to accelerate until it reaches around 50% power. Once that happens, it either barely accelerates or doesn't at all - even if you are pushing the gas pedal completely to the floor. After a short period of time, the engine kicks on to compensate,
... but there is of course a delay there and many times causes the vehicle to lurch forward. After taking my vehicle to the dealership twice for this, I was told that although Stellantis is keeping quiet about this, during the 68C recall software flash fix Stellantis installed something into the vehicles to essentially throttle the battery's power. They claim this is to avoid the battery from getting too hot. I was never notified that they would be completely altering the functionality of my vehicle and how it drives - which is inappropriate - and I believe this also poses a safety risk as the loss of propulsion/delay in acceleration and the lurching of the vehicle could cause an accident you're pulling out onto a road or are in traffic. Stellantis is claiming nothing was done to the vehicle and my dealership is now claiming it is functioning as intended, which makes sense because if they DID make this change, it is technically running how they want it to. However, I have had this vehicle for nearly 2 years and it NEVER drove like this before. I have also seen numerous posts and comments from other owners on the NHTSA website, Reddit, Facebook, and various Jeep forums mentioning they are having the EXACT same issues I am having, so I know it is not just my vehicle. This, along with the other recalls that STILL have no resolution is completely unacceptable and Stellantis would rather gaslight us into believing our vehicles are fine instead of owning up to the truth - that they are not.Read more

To the Office of Defects Investigation, I am submitting this formal complaint regarding NHTSA Recall 22V703000 (Kia Recall SC249) involving my 2020 Kia Sorento (VIN: [XXX] ). This recall identifies a fire risk due to a potential electrical short in the tow hitch harness module. The recall notice specifically warns that a vehicle fire may occur while parked or driving. After receiving the recall
... notification, we made multiple attempts to schedule the required repair with Pompano Kia, the authorized dealership in our area. Despite repeated efforts, we were not provided with a confirmed repair appointment, and the recall remained incomplete. On [1-19-2026], before the recall remedy was performed, the vehicle caught fire while being driven on a highway in Florida. The vehicle became fully engulfed and was declared a total loss. Law enforcement and/or fire services responded. The incident appears consistent with the fire risk described in the recall. Following the incident, we visited the dealership to report the fire and the unresolved recall. We were told the matter would be reviewed and that we would receive a follow-up call. No follow-up was received. Attempts to contact the dealership through publicly listed email addresses resulted in delivery failure notices. According to NHTSA records, this recall affects tens of thousands of vehicles nationwide. We are concerned about: • Timeliness and availability of recall repairs • Dealership accessibility and communication • Risk to consumers when recall remedies are not completed before failure occurs We also attempted to consult several attorneys regarding this incident. We were advised that due to the volume of recall-related fire cases involving this manufacturer, representation may not be feasible unless severe bodily injury is involved. This further raises concern about the scale and seriousness of the issue. We respectfully request that NHTSA review: • Whether recall 22V703000 is being remedied INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATIONRead more

While driving on the freeway in the carpool lane, our Audi Q6 malfunctioned and lost power. There were numerous malfunction lights all at once. No other warning that the car was about to lose power. Here is the text message I received from the service advisor at the dealer: “the following are the latest notes from the technician and techline audi :The control module for engine and suspension control is the module that has the static low voltage faults. Tech line thinks this control module staying awake is what’s killing the 12 volt battery. A faulty or discharged 12 volt can cause several problems in an electric vehicle” My concern is that there is no advance warning that the control module or suspension control is draining the battery and there is no advance warning that the 12 volt battery is going to die or is discharged. Audi has not been able to provide reassurance or confirmation that we will know in advance of this issue happening again. We were fortunate to be able to get out of traffic and to the shoulder, but it was a dangerous situation for me and my family to be in. Vehicle: 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged (VIN: [XXX] ) Recall Campaign: N623 / NHTSA 21V635 Incident Description: In October 2025 I had a recall repair done at Land Rover Annapolis. I picked up my vehicle from Land Rover Annapolis after the N623 Fuel Outlet Flange Recall was performed. Immediately after service, while driving in a live lane of traffic, the vehicle unexpectedly stalled, re
... sulting in a complete loss of motive power. The dashboard fuel gauge falsely indicated 55 miles of remaining range, but the vehicle had actually run out of fuel. This indicates that the fuel sending unit/float assembly was improperly reinstalled or damaged during the recall service, creating a secondary safety defect. I figured it would calibrate and fix itself. When the dealer reached out after my service appointment I made them aware of the issue. No one contacted me. I contacted Land Rover corporate when it continued to happen and was told to bring it back to the certified repair location. The dealership took 16 mins to look at my vehicle and deem the engine bad. Give a ballpark quote of 20000 to 30000 dollars to replace the engine. Despite this life-safety event, the dealership refused to pull stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and is attempting to deflect liability by blaming a pre-existing minor coolant leak that never triggered an overheat warning. I am reporting a failure of the recall remedy and requesting an investigation into the dealership's refusal to diagnose consequential damage (High-Pressure Fuel Pump failure) caused by the botched safety When I brought up the fact that they should have diagnosed the codes already he offered to have them run it for free tomorrow like he was doing me some kind of favor. When I said did I disagreed with the findings based on the fact that there was no evidence of it being the engine overheating due to cool it he replied that maybe I needed a second opinion and it needed to be off of their lot by Friday. A component has not yet failed but an existing recall (Ford recall 24S78 / NHTSA ID 24V957) describes the potential for loss of motive power increasing the risk of a crash. Component/System Failed: Engine – connecting rod bearing failure consistent with Hyundai Theta II engine defect subject to federal recalls and Consent Orders. The vehicle previously received Recall Campaign 953 (KSDS software update), intended to detect premature rod bearing wear. The engine is currently knocking and has been diagnosed as requiring replacement. The vehicle and engine are availab
... le for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: Rod bearing failure can cause sudden engine seizure or stall while driving, creating a significant crash risk due to loss of power steering and braking assist. Engine failure DID occurr despite prior recall software update, indicating potential recall remedy ineffectiveness. Sudden stalling in traffic placed myself and others at risk of collision. Dealer Confirmation: Hyundai of North Charleston confirmed through warranty history a prior engine replacement request (PA) was submitted by a previous owner but denied. The recall repair was never performed. Current diagnostic findings indicate engine failure consistent with known recall defect. However, Hyundai has refused to perform further inspection or goodwill repair solely due to the vehicle’s salvage branding. Inspection History: The vehicle has been inspected by a Hyundai dealership. No engine replacement was completed. Hyundai Customer Care has updated case notes but is declining remedy based on title status rather than mechanical condition. Warning Lamps/Symptoms: The vehicle previously received KSDS software update. Engine knocking developed consistent with rod bearing wear. The software did not provide effective prevention of engine failure. The engine now requires replacement. Hyundai is refusing recall-related remedy due to salvage title (predates my wonder ship by many years), despite federal recall obligations applying to the vehicle VIN. This complaint concerns potential failure of recall remedy effectiveness and denial of defect-related inspection.Read more

I own a 2022 Chevrolet Suburban RST that has experienced ongoing mechanical and safety issues over several years. I first began reporting drivability concerns to General Motors and the dealership in 2023 and continued contacting them throughout 2024 and 2025. During one dealership visit, a sales advisor rode in the vehicle with me and stated they did not observe any issues, despite my continued re

Due to ongoing concerns for my safety, I contacted General Motors multiple times, requested an executive buyback, and asked about Lemon Law options. GM advised that the engine had been replaced and that I needed to take ownership of the vehicle. After picking up the vehicle last Wednesday, I immediately noticed a persistent sweet coolant/radiator odor inside the cabin and outside the vehicle that continued for nearly a week. I also experienced engine hesitation/stuttering when stopped at traffic lights as the auto start/stop feature reengaged. I attempted to contact GM again regarding these concerns prior to today’s incident. Today, while driving, the vehicle displayed an engine overheating warning instructing me to turn the car off immediately. I safely pulled over and shut the vehicle down and am currently stranded roadside. I own a 2022 Chevy Silverado with a 6.2 liter engine. I had the original engine up until approx 80k in mileage when it failed, I was on a dark country road doing approximately 50mph and the propulsion system failed and the truck shut off, being a country road, I had minimum breaking and minimal steering. I had my [XXX] son in the car, we ended up in a culvert and I scraped either a large rock or

I did know that GM had issued a recall and I believed the engineer would be covered, which it was. I never reported the damage to insurance as I didn't want my ins to go up anymore, so I have not fixed it yet. My [XXX] old was scared beyond belief. Anyhow, Williams Chevy in Elkton, Md replaced the engine free of any cost. I believe the dates are approx to be 9/26 to 10/25/ 2025.On or about 11/25 or 26th 2025, with approx 2k miles on the newly installed 6.2 liter engine, while traveling with my [XXX] son, I experienced another catastrophic engine failure. This time we were traveling on 896 in Delaware and rt 40. While crossing over, the car cut off completely again while traveling at 50mph. We barely avoided a collision on the other side of the intersection with merging traffic, I applied the Manuel breaks along with the power steering was out too. My spouse was angry that GM is still doing this knowing this could be the result.Upon the 2nd installation, I dropped the truck off on the above date. It took until 1/5/26 bor approx 1/9/26.On approx 2/12/26 I had the oil changed at a local jiffy lube. This was conducted at 3400 miles, less than the manufacturer suggests with the new 40w oil. The hybrid propulsion system in my 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe intermittently malfunctions while driving. The “D” (Drive) indicator on the gear selector begins flashing, and the engine RPMs suddenly decrease without warning. During these events, the vehicle loses propulsion power and responsiveness. After several seconds, the vehicle may return to normal operation. This failure affects the hybrid p
... owertrain and transmission system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates a serious safety risk because the sudden loss of propulsion reduces the vehicle’s ability to accelerate or maintain speed in traffic. This is especially dangerous when merging, crossing intersections, or driving at highway speeds, as it increases the risk of collision due to loss of power and reduced vehicle control. The vehicle has been evaluated by a Jeep dealership service department. The dealership has not provided a permanent repair, and the manufacturer recall affecting the hybrid system remains open and unresolved. The recall repair has not been performed, and the hybrid malfunction continues to occur. The vehicle has been inspected by dealership personnel, but the issue remains unresolved. The dealership indicated that replacing the 12-volt battery may help, but no definitive root cause has been identified, and the hybrid system malfunction continues. There were no battery warning lights prior to or during the failure. The primary symptom is the flashing “D” indicator and sudden decrease in RPMs, followed by temporary recovery. This indicates a malfunction of the hybrid propulsion system. This unresolved hybrid system failure presents an ongoing safety hazard and loss of propulsion while driving.Read more

I receive my veh
... icle back and not even 100 miles later my check engine light in on again and the same issues are arising. Back to the dealership to see now Fuel Injector 3 has misfired and there is an open TSB showing all 4 Fuel Injectors need replaced. My vehicle was finally returned to me in January 2026. It is now February 16, 2026 and my check engine light in on YET AGAIN. I've been given the run around from Hyundai Corp about fixing this vehicle. Why is this acceptable treatment when a vehicle is under warranty ?Read more
