I recently bought this vehicle, I think about three months ago, used obviously. I will be going down the road, and for no apparent reason the vehicle will lose power steering. Not often but about once a month. Also, the majority of the time I can smell fuel from outside the vehicle. It most definitely has a fuel leak. Today, I got down and looked behind the tire at the fuel intake and it seems to
... be leaking at a yellow ring on the outside of the fuel tank. While researching this issue online seems to be a common issue, however, I have pulled up my VIN many times on the recall list and it has not shown up. It seems like not only an accident hazard with steering, but a fire hazard with the fuel. The fuel issue seems to make it very “jumpy” when idling at red lights, but maybe that’s a separate issue.Read more

The engine continues to have a burning smell or rotten egg smell at high speeds, the car continues to hesitate when taking off from a red light like it is going to shut off and then jumps forward, and the engine continues to lag as does the battery or power when turning on the vehicle most mornings. I have brought the car in several times to the dealership and due to there being no codes showing,
... they will not diagnose it further and as soon as I get the vehicle back, the same issues and problems happen over and over again. I have had 4 service appointments now with no resolutions. I feel as though this car is a lemon and worry that it will continue to become more unsafe from ongoing engine, powertrain, and mechanical issues that cannot be fixed or diagnosed.Read more

Vehicle recently had recall 68c completed. Was driving in electric mode on the highway at approximately 55mph. Upon pressing accelerator further to increase speed to pass another vehicle, I lost all electric power and the vehicle lost speed down to 40mph, despite accelerator pedal being pressed to the floor. Approx 3-5 seconds later, gas engine started, revved high, vehicle lunged forward to 65

The vehicle was being driven on a city street when it suddenly felt sluggish and lost acceleration ability. It would not drive above 43mph in a 50mph zone. The display showed the error "Check electrical vehicle system". After getting home a mile away and turning it on, driving was tested again after about 30 minutes. Upon entering drive mode, it beeps rapidly and displayed "Stop vehicle and check

The Hyundai app shows an ELECTRIC VEHICLE DTC P1A9096 and DTC Sub System: Air Flap (which appears to be incorrect since the air flap is functional and it's an ICCU failure). The dealer inspected and diagnosed the issue as an ICCU failure, requiring a new ICCU and fuses. Parts are on backorder with availability unknown.Read more

Recall R25C8 not resolved in a timely manner
Incident date: Mar 5, 2026
The vehicle experienced recurring electrical system failures beginning in December 2023. The vehicle intermittently would not start and on several occasions lost power unexpectedly. The vehicle was taken multiple times to an authorized Ford dealership for diagnosis while still under the manufacturer warranty. The dealership repeatedly reported that no issue could be identified despite the recurri
... ng electrical malfunction. The vehicle battery was replaced more than once within three years, however the underlying electrical issue persisted. In August 2025 the dealership instructed that the vehicle remain at the service center for extended diagnosis. The vehicle remained at the dealership for more than 40 consecutive days before being returned on October 8, 2025. Because the vehicle intermittently fails to start and has experienced electrical system malfunction, this creates a potential safety risk if the vehicle stalls or loses power while operating in traffic. Additionally, the vehicle currently has two outstanding manufacturer safety recalls that remain unresolved after nearly three years of ownership. This complaint is being submitted because the defect remains unresolved despite multiple repair attempts while the vehicle was under the manufacturer warranty.Read more

Vehicle: 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL (battery-electric SUV). At approximately 4,500 miles the vehicle began displaying battery/high-voltage system warnings and charging system errors. An earlier incident involved a critical battery warning instructing service. When presented to the dealership, the vehicle was initially described as potentially requiring extensive diagnostic disassembly. The deale
... rship later reversed that position and stated the issue could be addressed by repeatedly "cycling the ignition" approximately 30–40 times. No permanent repair or engineering explanation was provided. More recently, during an attempted charging session, the vehicle terminated charging due to a battery system error and displayed a red warning indicator requesting service. This prevented the vehicle from accepting charge and therefore prevented normal operation. In a battery-electric vehicle, the ability to charge is the functional equivalent of refueling. When the vehicle refuses charging due to system errors, the vehicle becomes effectively unusable and raises potential propulsion and safety concerns. When the vehicle was presented again for service, the dealership stated they had been instructed by the manufacturer not to perform service because the vehicle may be retrieved by the manufacturer. As a result, the vehicle continues to exhibit battery/charging system faults without a confirmed repair path. The issue involves the electrical system, propulsion system, and charging capability. The vehicle remains under very low mileage and the condition has not been corrected.Read more

There is already a recall on the Ford Fusion for this very same issue, they have identical engines, fuel systems etc, but code is P1450 and at times, randomly the sound of a struggling fuel pump happens, and the solution is to have the Fuel Canister Purge valve replaced, this is a known and recalled issue on the Ford Fusion but apparently not on the 2016 Ford Escape SE that the majority of those v
... ehicles do have both issues and failures with. Ford knows about this since they already have recalled the Ford Fusion for the very same thing happening. I have a "Forever Warranty" through Ford, which they explained 100% of all moving parts having to do with the Drive Train was covered, however they know about this issue, and yet no recall is happening I told them what the code is they still insist on charging $189 to tell me what my OBDII computer already has a few times at this point. Prestige Ford in Mt Dora, FL is the dealership that I will never deal with again for anything other than to maintain the warranty I was railroaded into that they don't seem to even want to honor making me pay out $189 for a known issue with the engines that are the same engines as in the Ford Fusion. The largest issue is the car can stall at any point in time causing a severely dangerous situation for anyone inside the vehicle when it stalls in middle of a intersection or turn. And of course I have learned it can cause the fuel tank to crack as well, and become deformed also causing a dangerous situation for whoever is operating the vehicle and other people on the road driving. My son is [XXX] and just learning to drive, it's the only car we have and we really have no other choice but to try to drive as safely as we can until a recall is also put out on the 2016 Ford Escape SE. Approximately four weeks ago on 02/03/2026, during rainy conditions, the brakes on the vehicle did not function properly, creating a serious safety concern. At the same time, a hose connected broke and there was a strong burning smell coming from the vehicle. I also noticed fluid leaking from the vehicle. I immediately took the vehicle to the dealership for repair, and the vehicle remained there f
... or approximately five days for inspection, parts, and repair. Additionally, this is now my third time bringing the vehicle in for service. During previous visits, I asked the service department about the condition of my brakes because they were making a squeaking noise and I was concerned about their performance. I was told by the service department that the brakes were fine, that I still had plenty of brake life remaining, and that the squeaking noise was normal. However, as of March 4, 2026, my vehicle displayed a new warning message stating “Service Brake Pad Monitor – Front Brakes.” This is concerning because the vehicle currently has approximately 25,490 miles. Given the previous brake concerns I reported and the dealership’s response that the brakes were normal, the new warning message raises additional concerns about the safety and reliability of the braking system. Because this defect involves the braking system and creates a safety concern, I am requesting that General Motors review my case under the applicable Lemon Law and advise me on the next steps toward either a vehicle replacement or buyback if the issue cannot be fully resolved.Read more

On 3/3/2026, I brought me JEEP 4XE to the Jeep dealership in Paris, Kentucky to have the 68C recall performed. The Jeep dealership used version #7 of the 68C recall instructions to updated all software modules and then to perform a 7 mile test run to engage the electric engine and to stress the vehicle per the instructions documented in the recall instructions. Document is identified as: * High V
... oltage Battery * Reference: 68C/NHTSA 25V-741 * Revision: 7 * Edition: February 2026 * Details: Additional DTC added to the end of Section B. BPCM software update After picking vehicle up from dealership, I proceeded home via a state highway Route 68 (Paris Pike). The roadway is a 4 lane divided highway and has a speed limit of 55mph. I set my vehicle to HYBRID mode and then placed it on cruise control as I had done numerous times over its 25,000 miles. During the drive there were occasional rolling hills and inclines. I gauged the hills to be about a 1% grade on average but never exceeding 2% grade. During these inclines, the gasoline engine engaged and the RPM gauge on the instrument cluster registered 3000RPM. This excessive engine RPM had NEVER occurred before the 68C factory recall procedure. In all other instances of the engine engaging, the RPM would engage at 2000RPM. I contend that the the engagement of the gasoline engine on these small inclines was NOT warranted and that the excessive RPM's of 3000 is not normal and was never experienced prior to the 68C recall fix. I am submitting this information for review and documentation. Video of the instrument cluster gauge showing the RMP gauage and the display panel showing the engine and battery kW used were taken to document the process. I believe that the engagement of the gasoline engine at 3000RPM will cause excessive wear of the engine and is a direct result of one of the software updates that was used to complete the 68C recall.Read more

Approximately 15 minutes after the warning appeared, as I attempted to exit the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost

This created a serious safety risk because the vehicle lost propulsion while traveling at highway speed. The vehicle had approximately 62,000 miles at the time of the incident. The vehicle was towed to Giles Hyundai where the dealership diagnosed an internal temperature sensor and resolver failure. Because these components are integrated into the drive system, the dealership replaced the entire traction motor assembly. The repair cost was approximately $9,000. Cylinder Head Gasket Replacement & Head Resurfacing (caused by excessive thermal stress and localized overheating from the lean/rich conditions). Fuel Injector Replacement. Dispute Details: Inadequate Reimbursement: After months of persistent hounding, American Honda issued a payment of $736. No explanation was provided, but this amount likely only covers the injectors, ignoring the thousands of dollars in consequential damage. Admission of Defect: By issuing this partial payment, Honda has formally acknowledged that my VIN was affected by the manufacturing defect described in the bulletin. The hybrid propulsion system on my 2020 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid has repeatedly failed, resulting in sudden and complete loss of power while driving at highway speeds. The vehicle enters full limp mode, displays a red turtle warning light, and the motor cuts out entirely, creating a serious collision risk. The failure occurs without warning and has happened on multiple occasions. The root
... cause has been traced through escalating component failures: first the Power Inverter Module (PIM) was found to have an internal failure disabling regenerative braking and causing the motor to cut out; subsequently the battery charging module was found to be failing, causing the high-voltage battery to drain to 0% and stall the vehicle. Both components were replaced by an authorized Stellantis dealership under warranty. Despite replacement of the PIM, the charging module, and ultimately the transmission, the defect has not been resolved. The vehicle has been confirmed defective by the authorized dealer on each visit and has been subject to a STAR (engineering escalation) case with Stellantis. Warning symptoms include the red turtle warning light, check engine light, and sudden power loss. The vehicle has been out of service for cumulative warranty repairs exceeding 130 days, including a continuous period exceeding 90 days. The vehicle remains unrepaired and in dealer custody as of the date of this filing. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer/service center and the issue was confirmed. The veh
... icle was out of service from December 1, 2025 to January 9, 2026 for diagnosis/repair. After being returned, the same charging-related failure reoccurred. The vehicle again went back to the authorized service center and has been out of service from February 10, 2026 to March 4, 2026 and counting. (the issue remains unresolved / parts are on order). Total time out of service is approximately 63 days for the same defect. Current mileage is approximately 1,070 miles. In addition, when attempting to charge using DC fast charging, charging performance was also abnormal. The DC fast charging rate was significantly reduced and it took approximately one hour to add only a small amount of range/energy. This defect creates a safety risk because the vehicle cannot be charged reliably, increasing the risk of being stranded without the ability to safely operate the vehicle as intended, including being unable to travel to a safe location if the battery becomes depleted. The authorized dealer/service center has reproduced/confirmed the problem and the affected components are available for inspection at the service facility upon request.Read more

I purchased this vehicle just over a year ago as a CPO model with only 8,000 miles on it. It now has just over 23,000 miles. In this short time of ownership, it has been back to the dealership 3 separate times for serious EV system issues. The first visit involved a software update intended to correct a 12-volt charging issue that could prevent the vehicle from charging and potentially cause ICCU
... failure. Shortly after that update, the 12-volt battery failed, despite being <18 months into service, completely bricking the vehicle and leaving me stranded waiting for a tow. The battery was replaced under warranty. Less than 2 months later, while >30 miles from home, the vehicle displayed a “Check Electrical System Failure” warning. I was able to limp-mode the car back to the dealership. I am now being told that the main EV battery has failed and must be replaced, possibly also the ICCU. The dealership cannot provide a firm timeline for repairs; parts availability could mean anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months without the vehicle. This pattern of failures raises serious concerns about the reliability and safety of the EV6. Repeated electrical system issues create a very real risk of being stranded unexpectedly, potentially in unsafe situations such as on the side of a highway. To date, I have already lost four days of use due to service repairs, and I now face being without the vehicle for an extended and uncertain period. While a loaner vehicle is being provided, I will incur fuel expenses at a time of rising gas prices, undermining the financial rationale for purchasing an EV. Meanwhile, I continue making payments on a vehicle I cannot use, which is depreciating in value. I understand that new technology carries some risk. However, despite prior updates and even a model refresh, the ICCU issue appears unresolved, and Kia does not seem to have a clear root cause identified. For a vehicle marketed on innovation and dependability, this experience has indicated otherwise.Read more

I scheduled an appointment with a Chevrolet dealership in Los Angeles and have a voicemail confirming the appointment. At the time, I did not follow through with ensuring the repair was fully completed, which I take responsibility for. However, the vehicle has continued to experience the same dangerous symptoms.
... My vehicle continues to display sudden “Engine Power Reduced” warnings while driving at freeway speeds. The car abruptly slows down and limits acceleration, forcing me to pull over and turn the vehicle off and back on to reset it. During these events, the steering wheel becomes extremely difficult to turn, creating a dangerous situation, particularly at high speeds. The vehicle also appears to have ongoing issues with the push-button start/stop system. Although I did not pursue the issue further at the time, I am now seeking to have it properly addressed because the safety risk remains and another family member is currently driving the vehicle. When I recently attempted to verify the recall status, both the Chevrolet website and other sources show no open recalls. However, the symptoms persist exactly as before, I cannot find the little red notices that were sent but I do have a voicemail from someone at Chevy confirming the appointment that I made because of the recall notices. This issue presents a serious safety hazard due to sudden loss of engine power and steering assist on highways. I respectfully request investigation into whether the recall was improperly marked as completed. Furthermore, can you provide me with the full recall and service history on my VIN including closed recalls and warranty repairs? I know recalls do not expire so I’m confused as to why no one wants to help me now. I appreciate your time.Read more

I was driving on the highway and my car starts sputtering, I figured I pull over and turn my car off and on. My car seemed fine and I continued to drive home from work. As soon as I got off the highway my car completely shut off mid ride, stalls out and my steering wheel locked up. I was able to get my car turned back on and get back home. Filled with anxiety at least. Luckily I have a code reader

My vehicle is currently suffering a failed head gasket. I was alerted about this issue from local mechanics and friends way before it actually happened. I took it to services and regular maintenance even more frequently after that. However, it still failed no matter what. I took it to the dealership, they even admitted that this is a known problem for this generation of vehicle. They still proceed
... ed to ask nearly $7000 to fix it, saying that even though this is a known issue, there was no recalls on the vehicles so they could not waive or deduct the fees.Read more

There is a problem with the purge valve on the ford fusion. Car will not start after pumping gas. You have to step on the gas pedal several times and then the car will turn on. After doing research there seems to be several people with the same problem. The purge valve on the canister is getting stuck letting the fumes come in making the system run with extra fuel that’s escaping.

While traveling at highway speed on Interstate 95, the vehicle experienced a complete and sudden loss of propulsion. The vehicle would not respond to the Vehicle Restart function. The driver was able to safely pull to the shoulder from the right lane. The vehicle was towed to a Rivian service center, where technicians identified a low-voltage event matching a known Rivian engineering investigation
... . Rivian confirmed no current repair exists and that engineering is actively working on software improvements. The vehicle was returned unrepaired after 13 days. Rivian also replaced the 12V battery under warranty at a prior service visit in July 2025 for a related electrical system defect. My gas tank leaks out the top when filled. Currently, all check engine lights are on and all of the safety features of the vehicle have been disabled. When I took it to Subaru, they said there is an open recall with no remedy. This is ridiculous. My car has every check engine light on! How am I supposed to know if there is an actual problem with the car?

The vehicle was serviced on 2/13 at the Polestar service center in Seattle. I believe this is when software version 4.2.13 was installed. In the last week, I've noticed a new behavior. When I accelerate from a stop, the vehicle intermittently does not accelerate as it used to. For approximately 2 - 3 seconds, I have no control over acceleration and the vehicle only operates around 5 mph. This put
... me in a scary situation as I was making a quick turn in front of oncoming traffic, and did not have the acceleration I expected to safely make the turn. It's happened to me about six times in the last week.Read more

I noticed a hesitation when I Pressed the gas pedal, I also noticed the smell of Gasoline when I parked it in my Garage. I had my Certified mechanic look at it and he told me there was a recall on the Fuel sending unit, creating a transfer case failure, apparently the flange breaks and leaks gas. I googled it and it confirms it. I called the local dealer and they have not called me back?
