Incident 1: Noticed hard starting one morning. After stopping for gas various engine warning lights illuminated (including EPC light). Took to VW dealer few days later, found trouble codes stored (P0148). Fuel pump replaced few days after diagnosis. Incident 2: Driving on highway for ~10 mins. Experienced total power loss, warning lights came on (including EPC). Had to pull over on left shoulder
... creating hazard. Engine died and would not restart after stopping. Required police intervention to move vehicle safely to right side of road. Returned to dealer for diagnosis. After 7 calendar days only found 'bad fuel line clamp causing pressure drop.' Claimed fuel line clamp replaced and road tested to validate repair. Incident 3: Driving on highway for ~10 mins again; experienced total power loss, EPC light illuminated along with other warnings. Warning appeared that engine limited to 4000 RPM. Was able to cut across 3 lanes of traffic, creating safety hazard, to safely stop in parking lot. Once speed dropped below ~20 mph engine died completely and would not restarted. Towed to dealer for 2nd time now waiting on diagnosis.Read more

With no warning signs, vehicle abruptly stalled while driving. I attempted to restart multiple times. Finally restarted and drove another 100ft and stalled again now with a check engine light. Made it to local shop and code P129F was found for fuel pump module. I see there is a recall on this but not for my particular vin. Recommend expanding recalls.

The failure involved the engine (6.2L L87 V8), specifically suspected internal components such as the crankshaft and/or connecting rods, as identified in a current recall. The vehicle is currently located at Dennis GM in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and is available for inspection. On March 9, while driving the vehicle normally on a main highway, the engine suddenly lost all power without warning.
... The accelerator became completely unresponsive and the vehicle rolled to a stop in the middle of a main highway. The engine would not restart. Due to the electronic gear selector, the vehicle could not be shifted into neutral, leaving both the truck and trailer immobilized in a live traffic lane. This created a serious safety risk to myself and other motorists, especially as I was in an area without cellular service and could not immediately call for assistance. The problem has not yet been formally diagnosed, as the vehicle remains at the dealership awaiting inspection. However, the symptoms are consistent with known failures described in the recall affecting these engines. The vehicle had previously undergone recall inspection on September 1, 2025 and was cleared at that time. The vehicle has been inspected previously by an authorized GM dealer as part of the recall process, but no defect was identified. It has since been towed to Dennis GM following the failure and is pending further inspection. No police or insurance inspections have been conducted. There were no warning lights, messages, or prior symptoms before the failure. The engine failure was sudden and without any indication of an issue beforehand.Read more

Gas pump shuts off and stops pumping fuel into my car with a loud hissing noise before it shuts down the pump. I can not properly fill my vehicle with gas. This is not a single incident it is an ongoing problem.
Incident date: Jan 31, 2026
The vehicle developed a progressive engine failure beginning in early 2024, including loud knocking noises at cold start and visible white/gray/black exhaust smoke. The condition worsened over time. In February 2026, the failure escalated to active oil discharge from the exhaust pipe while the engine was running. Oil exiting through the exhaust indicates internal engine failure (such as piston ri
... ngs, cylinder walls, or valve seal failure), not an external leak. This creates a safety risk including potential loss of power while driving, risk of engine seizure, and possible fire hazard due to oil in the exhaust system. The condition has been documented on video multiple times and was shown to dealership personnel. The vehicle was taken to a Hyundai dealership for evaluation and remains available for inspection. Despite this, no written diagnostic findings or repair determination have been provided. The issue has been persistent, progressive, and reproducible, and represents a potential defect affecting engine integrity and safe operation of the vehicle.Read more

I am submitting this complaint regarding a new safety incident involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe after completion of the repair associated with Recall 68C. The Recall 68C repair was completed on January 28, 2026. After that repair, the vehicle experienced new and serious operating failures. The vehicle repeatedly tripped my home charging circuit during charging attempts. In addition, the vehicle

I bought a 2018 Hyundai Sonata a few years back. No warranty. Used. 110,000 miles. A few short months after I purchased it, it stopped working. I took it back to the same dealership where I purchased it and they said they had to replace the coil packs and spark plugs and clean something in the engine out because there's a defect in the engine. I paid $500. Fast forward a few months later. Same thi

This pattern continues to this very day. It broke down while I was working my 2nd job. I have a daughter. She plays sports. I have a second job. I need this problem completely alleviated as quickly as possible. Like a lot of the American public, I don't have extra money to keep up with anything beyond the normal maintenance of my vehicle. I keep it up to date with all oil changes. What can you do to get me a vehicle I can trust and it not break down every couple months and cost $300-$600 each time? I don't have good credit (I'm working on that) I have medical issues that I have to visit my doctor for every 3 months. I have the loan through Capital One and they don't offer refinancing. My father who has passed was a car salesman his entire career. I just need reliable transportation and if it's a motor problem like they say then I shouldn't be liable to fix it. The manufacturer should. Please let me know if you need any service records from me. Oh and I also have to put about $20 worth of oil in it every week or so between oil changes. This has been occurring intermittently since my 2021 Kia Sorento reached approx. 15k miles and now has 26,600 miles. There are no lights or indicators on the dash letting me know anything is wrong. When the vehicle is stopped at a traffic light or stopped in heavy traffic, the vehicle will start idling high and shaking and the engine will seize up. I am not able to steer, the brakes lock up, I
... cannot accelerate, all functionality is lost. The only thing I can do is put the vehicle in park (in heavy traffic) and shut the car off and wait a minute and turn it back on and it seems to reset itself. This is EXTREMELY dangerous for myself and my passengers (some of which are children) and can cause a serious accident. At no point should I ever need to be concerned with my vehicle seizing up in the middle of the road and having to park and restart my car. This has happened on several occasions already. I have taken my car to 2 separate Kia dealerships to address this problem I have been experiencing. The first dealership failed to attempt to duplicate the problem and instead informed me the firmware update the performed from a previous recall should remedy the problem. It did not. Then I recently took it to another Kia dealer in another state and explained the situation. I specifically asked them to take the vehicle for a test drive and they argued with me that my battery was low and needed to be replaced and it would not be covered under the warranty. I have been driving this vehicle for a while and it has been having this issue around 15k miles so I know it is not the battery. They totally disregarded the safely of myself and my family and only focused on making money for themselves. This is a serious safety issue with this vehicle and has continuously been swept under the rug by Kia. Even the customer service is rude and I have reported this to them and asked for an escalation to their consumer affairs dept and have received no response.Read more

My Odyssey began to shudder and misfire. Luckily, I was in a parking lot when it happened. It stopped running. Several attempts to restart were unsuccessful. I did not attempt to drive it anymore until the next day, when I took it to Canady & Branch (Auto Repair). They checked for codes and also had the P0087 code. They called and informed me of the issue and indicated that it involves the fuel pump. They also indicated that there were recalls for the Honda Odyssey for the fuel system:fuel pump. I contacted Priority Honda to determine if this would be covered under a recall. I was told that the recall did not involve my Odyssey. I needed my vehicle, so I had Canady & Branch make the necessary repair ($874.42 - the diagnostic was an additional $77). On March 9, 2026, I brought my vehicle to a Kia dealership in Alexandria, Virginia after experiencing a loud thump noise from the rear of the vehicle while stopped at a red light. (3/08/2026) Immediately following the incident, I smelled gasoline, noticed a significant drop in fuel economy, and heard persistent road noise as if a window were open. I explained these concerns in detail to the serv
... ice advisor and specifically stated my belief that the fuel tank may have expanded. I was informed that this was not related to any recall. After approximately two hours, my vehicle was returned to me without resolution. The symptoms persisted, including the smell of gasoline, which poses a clear safety risk. A few days later, I took my vehicle to a second Kia dealership for further inspection related to Recall SC356. At that time, I was informed that my initial concern was correct—the fuel tank had in fact expanded. I was initially told the repair would take 3–4 days due to parts ordering. However, I was subsequently contacted and instructed not to retrieve my vehicle, as Kia is now pursuing a buyback. While I understand the seriousness of the issue, I am currently without a vehicle, and I have not been provided with a rental or loaner. Given that this issue is tied to a safety-related recall and that my vehicle is unsafe to operate due to the presence of fuel odor, this situation is both unreasonable and unacceptable. They have yet to send me any reports from the second Kia dealership in which I had taken it on 3/14/2026 I was only told over the phone via a service advisor named India that I was correct in suspecting the fuel tank had expanded causing the gasoline fumes and road noiseRead more

Component/System Failure: The internal fuel pump relay within the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM-7) failed. This component is not available for inspection as it is an internal board-mounted relay, but the dealership-installed External Bypass Relay (Part #CBWPR091AA) and the failed fuel pumps are documented on the attached service invoice. Safety Risk: The failure caused an unpredictable en
... gine stall at highway speeds in heavy traffic. This resulted in a complete loss of motive power while moving, creating an immediate risk of a rear-end collision and leaving the vehicle stranded in a live lane of traffic. Confirmation: The technician documented a terminal 'static pressure drop' to 35 PSI (Spec is 58 PSI). Based on this confirmed low-pressure state, the dealer required the replacement of both the Main Fuel Pump and the Siphon/Auxiliary Transfer Pump, alongside the installation of the External Bypass Relay Kit (Part #CBWPR091AA) to restore safe operation." Inspection: The vehicle was inspected and repaired by the authorized manufacturer representative (Larson Chrysler Jeep). I have also opened a formal case with Stellantis Corporate (Case # 96059987). Warning Symptoms: There were no warning lamps, MIL messages, or starting issues prior to the initial stall. The 'Long Crank' and failure-to-start symptoms occurred immediately after the highway-speed stalls. The vehicle would not restart until it had sat for a period of time, indicating a thermal failure (heat soak) of the internal fuel pump relay. This resulted in the vehicle being stranded in live traffic multiple times while waiting for the component to cool and allow a restart "Note: The attached repair invoice from Larson Jeep contains a clerical typo in the VIN (listing a 'D' instead of a 'B'). I am submitting this complaint to report a serious safety defect involving a high-pressure fuel system failure that occurred shortly after recall service was performed by an authorized dealership. The failure created a significant risk of engine compartment fire and potential loss of vehicle control. On March 25, 2025, my vehicle underwent recall service at Hall Ram Dealership for replacement of
... the high-pressure fuel pump. This repair required removal and reinstallation of the high-pressure fuel supply lines. These lines are torque-to-yield, single-use components that must be replaced once removed to ensure proper sealing under high operating pressures. On April 7, 2025, while driving at highway speed, the high-pressure fuel line connected to the pump suddenly ruptured. This resulted in an uncontrolled release of fuel into the engine compartment, creating an immediate safety hazard. Atomized fuel was exposed to high-temperature engine components, significantly increasing the risk of ignition and fire. The failure also posed a risk of sudden engine power loss. The vehicle required emergency towing. A review of the March 25 service invoice shows no documentation that the high-pressure fuel lines were replaced. This strongly suggests the original single-use lines were reused, contrary to OEM standards and accepted repair procedures. Reuse of these components can lead to sealing failure, fatigue, and rupture under pressure. This incident raises concerns regarding compliance with federal safety regulations, including 49 U.S.C. Chapter 301 and FMVSS No. 301 governing fuel system integrity. A fuel line rupture under normal operating conditions indicates a critical safety defect and possible improper execution of a recall remedy. I request that NHTSA investigate whether authorized repair facilities are properly following required procedures during recall repairs, including replacement of single-use fuel system components.Read more

I was followed home tonight to be told my car was pouring out gas from under the fuel pump area while I was driving. So I took a video of it pouring out under the driver back seat area and then I pulled off the back seat to find gas all on top of my brand new fuel pump. First I figured maybe the seal wasn’t on right but everything was put on correctly but yet I have no clue why there is gas everywhere especially seeing the pump is in correct. I can’t drive my car nor take my grandson anywhere with my car smelling like gas. Not understanding why my old and new fuel pump is backing up and I wouldn’t run my car on empty nor overfill. I have spent a bit of money into my car replacing things to continue to have the same problem. Major issue scared to ride in my car not knowing if it is going to catch on fire and that is my main transportation. My 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe has a recurring pattern of excessive oil consumption, smoke from the exhaust, repeated check engine light events, P0420 catalyst-efficiency faults, and repeated catalytic-converter-related repairs. At approximately 75,000 miles, the vehicle shut down on the freeway. At approximately 121,000 miles, the first catalytic converter failed. Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel documented P
... 0420 and catalyst failure in November 2025, and GM service history reflects catalytic-converter replacements at 131,468 miles and approximately 141,082 miles. The vehicle also underwent major injector-related repair in early 2026. At 141,620 miles, Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel started an oil consumption test and stated in writing that oil consumption can lead to repeat failed converters and false oxygen sensor readings. Despite substantial repairs, the problem pattern continued. I am reporting this as a possible safety-related defect affecting engine operation, emissions-system failure, and drivability, and I am asking NHTSA to review whether this indicates a broader safety-related defect.Read more

I am reporting a severe combined safety failure involving fuel delivery and electronic systems. Between 1:22 PM and 3:37 PM, documented evidence shows the vehicle's fuel range dropped by 37 miles while the odometer recorded only 6 actual miles driven—a 600% abnormal fuel consumption rate accompanied by excessive engine noise. The odometer also exhibited erratic behavior, reversing and then spiki
... ng while stationary. Additionally, the unit was provided with critically low tire pressure (26 PSI), which continued to drop while parked, indicating an active leak neglected by maintenance. Furthermore, there is a discrepancy in records: the VIN indicates a black vehicle, but the actual unit provided is white. These defects posed an immediate fire and road safety risk, causing significant psychological and physical distress (vertigo).Read more
