I bought my 2018 Chrysler Pacifica limited about two years ago. It’s been the worst decision I’ve ever made. I have just about a 3% rate and with the amount of issues these things have I’m so far upside down it’s not even funny. This car with all of its known issues is depreciating faster than I can pay for it. I currently have about 129,000 miles on it. I couldn’t get rid of this thing
... if I tried. The Chrysler dealership I service it with said they would give me 4000.00 IF they were willing to buy it back. The engine build company my mechanic uses says they won't even build these engines at all because of how many issues they have. So no option other than to buy the exact same engine is has now through Chrysler and know it will do it again. I’m having stalling/accelerating issues (shop can’t figure it out, kids cry when it stalls in traffic.. I've been in for it about 9 times to two different place) Oil cooler housing unit replaced last year (taken it back in a few times for ongoing leak, now need a head gasket) Head gasket Batteries galore Ongoing start stop issues My AC went out the month I bought it (leak in the lines near the rear) 3000k to fix The shop says it needs lifters, cam shafts and rockers (might as well do the engine if I had the extra money after paying off the rest of the repairs) My heated and cooled seats have stopped working numerous times Dash comes on and off when it wants Back up camera stays on the screen while I drive as much as it doesnt My rear washer fluid sprays INSIDE the car onto my kids Rear power seats stopped working multiple times now Get in to head to work and it just won’t start…. Have to basically play a video game with the controls and key fob to miraculously start it up Starting to rust already We have owned 2 Durango’s, 2 dodge rams, a Chrysler Sebring and now this. Clearly we support Chrysler but after this my husband switched to a ford truck and I will be going back as soon as I can if this isn't resolved.Read more

I am currently leasing this 2023 Toyota Tundra Platinum and after about six I noticed that there was a delay in the throttle engaging and it felt like the truck bogged down. Toyota mechanics have ridden with me so I can show them, and they also have noticed the delay, and they have no answer for me. After researching the internet, I am not the only one having this issue with the 2022-2023 tundra. Here recently I have noticed that when you go from breaking to a stop and then go straight to the gas pedal there is a hesitation and then surge from the vehicle which I feel is also very unsafe. All I am asking is for the vehicle to be replaced so my family is safe. Please help me in any possible because Toyota will not.Read more

2006 Chrysler 300 Touring 3.5L V6 engine. Car has intermittent stall at slow speeds or at complete stop. Sometimes feels like it stumbles, other times it dies suddenly and unable to tell the engine shut down. I have to put car in park and completely switch the ignition fully off and turn back on to start position. When it stalls while rolling, I have to brake and bring car to full stop, with no p
... ower steering, and go through the same start procedure. No trouble codes are generated, and no check engine light indicator illuminated. Car usually starts right up, but sometimes I have to keep cranking starter, stumbles to catch as if starving for fuel. A/C was on first two times but also happens with A/C off. Research online reveals an open recall for the fuel tank on the 300C model with a 5.7L or 6.4L engine. Problems described on the 300C model are nearly identical to what my 300 Touring is experiencing. PCM replacement does not correct problem. Some noticed it happening only with a full tank. Stopgap measure is to only fill no more than 3/4 tank. I am currently testing this idea. The safety issue is significant and twofold; three times I have had one other adult and two children in the car. While stalled at a major intersection traffic signal trying to restart the engine, other vehicles approached from the rear at 50-55 MPH. A rear end collision with children in the back seat would likely be fatal. Secondly, during a stall event while the car is moving, it is extremely difficult to steer the vehicle to a safe place, and braking takes significant pedal pressure once power assist bleeds off. This is a serious concern and obvious collision hazard, as I may not be able to stop or steer to a safe location or avoid a hazard. I had the car at the dealer for over three weeks in July 2024 and they were unable to duplicate the issue. Their answer was to drive car until it happens more frequently. This is unacceptable. No other solution or repair was provided.Read more

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2014 Ford Focus due to recurring error codes P0456 (Very Small Leak Detected), P1450 (Unable to Bleed Up Fuel Tank Vacuum), and P2190 (System Too Rich at Idle). These issues relate to the Evaporative Emission Control System (EVAP) and fuel tank system, which have caused symptoms such as intermittent Check Engine Light warnings, fuel odor, and difficulty
... refueling. These problems were confirmed by an independent service center during diagnostic testing, but the dealership refused to perform a goodwill fix, citing that my vehicle is not currently included in related recalls. This is particularly concerning because a large number of 2014 Ford Focus vehicles—approximately 1.5 million—have been recalled for similar issues with the EVAP and fuel systems, which pose risks such as fuel vapor leaks and stalling due to fuel system pressure irregularities. Although my VIN is not listed under the recall, the identical symptoms strongly suggest my vehicle should be included. I have not had the vehicle inspected by Ford or other representatives, but I urge NHTSA to investigate further as this is a significant safety concern that endangers me and others on the road.Read more

This car was sold to me without disclosing that the manufacture failed to have a engine security system on the car to at least "deter" auto theft. If the key to the car was programmed/chipped like other cars, it would provide at least some level of protection. I've already stopped car thieves from trying to steal it once by pure luck, but I'm like the thousands out there constantly worried that so
... meone's going to try to take it in lieu of the social media challenges. The horrible settlement that out government gave us was to upgrade the software which provides NO help with deterring thieves from breaking in and trying to steal it.The reimbursement provided in the settlement is complete joke, and doesn't offer to properly repair or reimburse for after-market security systems. This is evident from the fact that insurance companies still won't insure this car, even after the software upgrade. The insurance companies are telling me that they still won't insure the car even with upgrade because it doesn't stop thieves from breaking into the car and causing comprehensive damage to the car.I can only find a few insurance companies that will insure the car, and the premium cost is twice as much as I pay to insure a car that's worth twice as much money! If our government or NHTSA was truly concerned, they would have demanded that the manufacture make significant change to the ignition/engine starter, i.e., changing out the ignition switch system with a programmed/chipped key, and/or engine starter kill without said key. If the manufacture and the government made this change a required "recall" to properly fix and advertised it nationwide, THEN thieves would at least be less inclined to cause damage, and insurance companies would feel more comfortable about taking the risk. This ongoing expense/problem for me has me seriously considering if anyone in my family should every purchase another KIA/Hyundai product again. My safety was put at risk because the bike could have caught fire while riding and also potentially could have caused me to crash. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. The component hasn't been inspected by BMW or any representati
... ve. There was no warning or symptom other than I could smell fuel while I was riding. In April 2014 BMW issued recall notice 13V-617 for a potential fuel leak at the fuel pump flange. The remedy by BMW was to place a reinforcing ring around the fuel pump flange or replace the fuel pump with a new pump that had a preinstalled reinforcing ring. My fuel pump was replaced in November 2015 under the recall. At the conclusion of my ride on 11/16/24 my inspection revealed fuel leaking around the fuel pump flange with fuel puddling on top of the fuel pump. Enough fuel leaked and dispersed during my ride that fuel had also collected in between the cylinder cooling fins on one side of the motor which is a potential ignition source. It was also evident that fuel had blown onto the side of the bike. I was extremely fortunate fuel didn't contact the exhaust pipe which is in proximity to where fuel was leaking and ignite. Even though it has been 9 years since my fuel pump was replaced the reinforcing ring remedy for the fuel pump flange does not work as evidenced by the leak on my bike. The leak should have never occurred. The fuel pump flange on these fuel pumps even with a reinforcing ring is still apparently a bad design and still subject to failure and creates a life safety hazard. My bike could have easily caught fire which could have resulted in personal injury or a crash. I consider myself lucky that neither of these hazards occurred. I have contacted BMW Customer Support. A case number was issued and my case was escalated to the next level. Im waiting for their response.Read more

My 2007 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, which has developed a fuel system defect resulting in a leak. This issue poses a significant safety risk, including the potential for fire and explosion, and is directly related to a known defect that Mercedes-Benz USA has previously acknowledged through an extended warranty campaign.Safety Risk: Fuel system leaks pose an imminent danger, including the potential for
... fire and explosion, to vehicle occupants and others on the road. Manufacturer Acknowledgment: The warranty extension campaign underscores Mercedes-Benz’s recognition of this defect as a manufacturing issue, Repeat Occurrence: Having experienced this defect in my previous 2005 E500 4MATIC and now my 2007 E63 AMG, it is evident this issue is systemic and not isolated.Ethical and Legal Responsibility: Safety defects do not have an expiration date. Mercedes-Benz has an obligation to address this issue regardless of warranty status.Mercedes-Benz USA recognized the severity of this defect by extending the warranty coverage to 15 years and unlimited mileage for “Covered Fuel Tank Components” in specific models, including the 2003–2009 E-Class (W211). I received a notice in 2015 outlining this warranty extension, which covered the fuel tank, fuel filter/sender, fuel pump, and all related gaskets, seals, and retention rings. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz USA formally notified the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), specifically the Office of Defects Investigation (ODI), of this extended warranty campaign in 2014. While the ODI concluded that the nature of the leaks "does not appear to present an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety," I strongly disagree. Any defect involving fuel system leaks represents a substantial safety hazard, including the potential for fire, explosion, and environmental harm.Read more

Subject: Urgent Safety Concern Regarding 2023 GMC Canyon Fuel Pump Module Failure I am writing to express my concerns regarding a significant safety issue I experienced with my 2023 GMC Canyon, which has only 3,000 miles on the odometer. On November 12, 2024, while traveling southbound on Interstate 75 in Florida, my vehicle unexpectedly lost all power. All electronics, including the dashboard a
... nd display screens, shut off, and the engine stalled. I was forced to coast to a stop on the shoulder, directly on the bridge section of I-75 over U.S. 301. With less than 12 inches of clearance between my driver’s side and passing traffic, this situation posed a severe risk to my safety. To make matters worse, the tow truck driver was unable to safely and properly secure my vehicle due to the danger presented by the high-speed traffic. My vehicle has now been at the GMC dealership for seven days, and I have been informed that the issue was caused by a faulty fuel pump module. I believe this represents a critical safety defect that warrants immediate attention and possibly a recall. Upon further research, I have found similar reports of fuel pump module failures in online forums, indicating that this may be a widespread issue affecting other owners across the country. In addition, when the tow truck dropped my vehicle off at the GMC dealership, after reading the engine codes the dealership found 18 active engine codes. I feel as if this is a possible known issue and I should have been informed when purchasing the vehicle. I kindly request your assistance in addressing this matter. I urge GMC to investigate the extent of this defect and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of all affected vehicles and their drivers. Thank you for your prompt attention to this urgent matter. Please let me know how GMC plans to proceed. I am available to provide additional information or documentation if needed.Read more

My 2013 Kia Soul 1.6L is currently displaying a check engine light. My vehicle has very strong smelling exhaust, engine knocking, sluggish acceleration, and reduced fuel mileage. This has been going on for about a year. I have a diagnostic code reader and it returns the error code P0420, which indicates a faulty catalytic converter, which could cause engine damage. There is a recall for the ca
... talytic converter for my year and engine type. I received a letter in the mail regarding this recall. The link to the letter: [XXX] However, when I enter my VIN at the KIA owners portal this recall does not come up. I have contacted my local Kia Dealership (Johnson City KIA) and they act like they have no idea what I am talking about. I have called Kia customer care center and they refused to help, saying that the recalls are "VIN specific". That's ridiculous. If the recall covers my year make and model then the VIN shouldn't mean [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Gas spilling out when refilling. Fuel tank had been whistling from beginning ownership in 2020 but no problem refilling. Most recently however gas will quickly overflow when attempting to fill. This has occurred several times recently, but it was never an issue before. Spillage is not dependent on tank volume. Spillage occurs when low and/ or mostly filled. I have to trickle gas from pump in order
... to fill, but this takes quite a while to put in several gallons. If I attempt to fill normally gas will come gushing out after a few seconds.Read more

I was driving on a four lane highway in February 2024 and the engine of my 2021 Honda CR-V just stopped working and the car was not responding. I was able to coast the car into a parking lot where I had to have it towed to the nearest Honda dealership. I was told the fuel pump had failed and needed replacing. I was told there was no recall on my model for this fuel pump and had to pay full p
... rice for the repair of over $1000. I now see where this fuel pump is failing in other models of CR-Vs but mine is not listed though the experience mentioned in the recall matches what I experienced. There was no warning of the failure and when the car stopped running all the warning messages just kept recycling over and over on the display. There was no prior warning of the failure. I was very concerned because I was on a busy highway and was worried about getting hit. The repair was done at a Honda Dealership.Read more

There is a problem with a tapping noise from the engine. It normally happens when lightly accelerating. “Nissan Rogue 2023, with 3 Cylinder, 1.5L DOCH 12-valve Super Charged, 201 hp, 225 lb-ft torque, XTRONIC CVT”. It started at about 11,000 miles but has continued and is now about 23,000 miles. I had the car in for a part replacement under warranty November 18, 2024 and asked for a test dri
... ve with a technician to observe for noise with me. We both heard the noise and the technician said it could be a couple of things. 1. Something could be loose in the engine linkage. 2. Could have something to do with the Turbocharger linkage or activator. 3. Could be just because it is a 3 Cylinder engine it is just a little more noisy (don’t by that). 4. I asked if it was possibly that the timing was slightly off. Technician said the only way to check, would be to have to drop the engine since you could not access the ports as it sits in the engine compartment. 5. I use regular 87% Octane gas as called for in the manual and told the technician that another dealer mechanic suggested trying premium grade Octane and see if that helps. I tried higher octane gas and still making the same sound when lightly accelerating from a stop or turning a 90 degree corner. 6. The next oil change, I will check to see if any metal shaving are in the oil. I will need to take it back in to the Nissan Dealer soon to have a discussion again.Read more

Vehicle has been submitted for repair under recall RCRIT-23V534-0846. DTC P17ED - Engine clutch system EOL fault, is set and has never gone away. Initially the dealership did the recall in the spring of 2024. It was taken to the dealership after an accident and returned with the same DTC. I believe the DTC was never repaired; it is a non-MIL light so it is easy to miss. It was taken back, and they
... claimed to bleed a clutch. DTC is still present. Taken back again, wiring harness was ordered and replaced, DTC is still present. The dealership (Serra Kia, 12300 30 Mile Rd, Washington Twp., MI 48095, 586-281-2800) has failed to fix this issue. The attached invoice is a 3rd attempt to fix the recall and they refused to do it at no cost.Read more

While driving our 2014 BMW 328d the engine misfired then stalled on the highway. This was a very dangerous and frightening scenario trying to push it off of the roadway while my wife and children were inside the car while highway traffic on the I-15 interstate rushes by. I was not able to restart, so we had it towed to our local BMW shop. Diagnosed as High Pressure Fuel Pump complete failure. Meta
... llic debris throughout the entire fuel system, lines, tank filter, injectors, pumps. No check engine light or any prior warning. Many of the components have already been disassembled to determine the extent of damage, and all the components are currently with the vehicle, and available for inspection. The vehicle has been at the shop since the end of June. Some parts were initially ordered then all repairs put on hold while awaiting direction/ recall approval from BMW of North America. 5 months later we are being told this vin does not qualify for the safety recall. We can not afford the cost of the repairs and they will likely exceed the value of the car. We also need to remove it from storage at the shop it was towed to, and take it somewhere else while this is sorted out.Read more

- I own a 2020 CR-V Hybrid LX with a Continuously Variable Transmission that has been experiencing persistent engine problems over the past few months. I have taken the vehicle to two Honda dealership service centers, but neither location has been able to identify the root cause of the issue. Currently, the car is with a Honda dealership mechanic for further inspection. I am seeking assistance in
... resolving this matter as the issue remains unresolved despite multiple attempts. -The engine problem initially occurred while I was driving, causing the car to slow down unexpectedly. Most recently, the issue occurred when I started the vehicle. - The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by both Honda dealerships I visited; however, neither dealership has been able to determine the root cause. They have run several diagnostics and even cleaned out the fuel tank, but the problem persists. - Both Honda dealerships informed me that they brought in a manufacturing engineer and technician to conduct further testing. They recommended flushing the fuel tank and fuel line and replacing the spark plugs; however, the engine problem remains unresolved. I reached out to Honda headquarters about this issue, and they advised me to follow up after hearing back from the technician and engineer. However, I have not received any response since following up. - There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the engine issue. The warning messages and lights only appeared once the engine began to fail. The problem first started back in June. At that time, the car was not due for any maintenance and had no prior major issues.Read more
