Engine failed one me [XXX] it sat in my drive until it made its way to Sarasota Ford on July 9, 2024. I have no been able to drive this car at all for about 2 years now. (July 9th, 2024 - 5/2025) When driving the car it goes from 40mph to 9mph in the middle of traffic putting not only mi life in danger but others. I have compiled to the motor company about how dangerous this car is. My car has had
... about 3 engines and still has the same problem the recall was put out for. I was told that after so many times of them trying to fix the car and it’s still Not working they have to replace are car by putting us in the same year or newer year make and model but ford doesn’t want to do so they just want to keep replacing and installing engines that obviously has the recall problem. My car has recently got repossessed due prolonged non-use. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Was driving on the freeway in my 2019 VW Tiguan when I experienced a sudden unexpected loss of power. Warning lights came on and the car went into a "limp mode" not allowing the engine to rev past a certain RPM. I took the car to be serviced at a local dealership where it was determined that the Fuel Injector Harness was faulty and needed to be replaced. When I informed the dealer that there was a
... n extended warranty on the harness (2018-2019 model years within 10 years/120 miles) and the part should be covered, the dealer and later VW of America said that my vehicle was not part of the warranty. VW of America could not explain to my as why my car was not part of this warranty, but it is obviously a known problem on their end and they should honor what they advertised with their warranty extension with the NHTSA. [XXX] I find VW of America's response to this problem completely unacceptable and quite dangerous. Their unwillingness to take care of this critical component with a known failure rate unnecessarily costs consumers for repairs that VW should be honoring according to their own posted Warranty Extensions and could potentially cost bodily damage and lives. In 2022, I paid over $15,000 to an official Jeep dealership (Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM City, Greenwich CT) to replace the engine in my Jeep Wrangler. Without clear disclosure or consent, they installed a non-OEM Jasper remanufactured engine. The invoice misleadingly stated “ALL PARTS ARE NEW UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED,” with no mention of Jasper or warranty terms. The vehicle began malfunctioni
... ng almost immediately, raising multiple serious safety concerns, confirmed by written service exchanges: •“The Jeep is stopping alone! Just crazy, brakes come on alone” — 🛑 Spontaneous brake engagement poses a serious crash risk. •“It also smells strong gas when turning the car on” — 🚨 Potential fuel leak or misfire, which is a fire hazard. •“The Jeep is malfunctioning,” “check engine light came back on,” “needs a PCM”, followed by: “I’m not sure this is a computer problem, but the motor you folks placed in the car.” — ⚠️ Suggests deeper integration issues between the engine and vehicle electronics. After only ~8,000 miles, the engine failed again. I spent thousands more with an independent mechanic, who found that several parts supposedly replaced in 2022 were already failing again (spark plugs, oil cooler, manifold gaskets, thermostat). This points to reused components, poor-quality parts, or improper installation. Stellantis refuses to assist, claiming their dealership is “independent,” despite operating under Stellantis branding and authorization. A Stellantis rep confirmed they would only file an internal complaint and left me to handle everything alone. This reflects mechanical negligence, brand-level accountability failures, and clear safety threats. I’m requesting NHTSA investigate: •Post-engine replacement safety hazards and quality of work and materials •Dangerous servicing practices at this authorized dealership (if not many or all of them) •Stellantis’ lack of oversight over branded repairsRead more

I am reporting a recurring fuel system defect affecting my Audi Q3, consistent with Safety Recall 20YF – Suction Jet Pump. The problem began as difficulty refueling and now mirrors an identical issue I experienced with a previous Audi A3, which ultimately leaked fuel severely both while driving and when parked. That incident put me and my passengers in danger and caused breathing difficulties fr
... om fumes. The Q3 now shows the same early signs — gas pump shutoff, failed refueling attempts, and multiple $200 credit card holds at stations without fuel entering the tank. Audi replaced the tank in 2024, but the issue returned. This is not an ordinary maintenance issue — it is a serious safety hazard. Audi’s solution has been to keep replacing the part, while denying a vehicle replacement or compensation. They redirected me to BBB, but I felt it was necessary to report this publicly. If the gas leak recurs, it could lead to fire or poisoning. The fuel system should not fail like this, and I want to ensure no one else faces this danger. If anything happens to me as a result, I will pursue further legal action.Read more

When I went to turn on my car, on May 15, 2025, all my warning lights started flashing. It stated multiple system failures and my car started sputtering a bit. I attempted to drive it that way because I really needed to get to work. I was able to get to work but was driving very slow because I had my son with me. When school let out I started my car and all the system failure lights started flashi
... ng again. The car started sputtering and shaking again. When I went to leave my school’s parking lot I pressed on the gas pedal and my car barely moved. This happened on a busy street causing the cars behind me to brake quickly since I had no power to get out of their way. I thought I was going to get rear ended with my son in the backseat. I was able to get back into my school’s parking lot and shut off the car. I had to have the car towed to my nearest Honda dealer where it sat overnight since it was towed there right before closing. They diagnosed the vehicle as having a failed fuel injector spill gas into my oil tank and cause a complete mess in my engine. Spark plugs got burnt out as well. Turns out this is a recurring issue with 2019 Honda CRVs. This failure cost me a lot of money that has caused me financial difficulties. This problem needs to be addressed and all 2019 CRVs should be included in this recall. I’m so scared to drive my car but can’t afford to get another car. I should also get reimbursed for the cost of having the fuel injectors replaced. I’m terrified that I’ll get into an accident next time and that my son could possibly get hurt or die. While driving normally at around 30mph and without warning, the vehicle displayed multiple warning messages related to the HV Battery and lost all motive power in the middle of the road with insufficient time to pull over, creating a safety hazard. Upon inspection by a mechanic independent of Tesla, the HV Battery was found to have multiple voltage sense leads disconnected from the flexible PCB p
... ads that lead to the BMB for each module. One of the 96 bricks had all four sense leads disconnected, resulting in the loss of motive power due to the inability for the BMS to accurately measure the voltage of that brick. In fact, the vehicle displayed module over voltage and under voltage alerts due to this open/high resistance sense harness connection. Out of all 96 bricks, 13 bricks had at least one loose sense lead, and one brick (besides the affected brick) had 3 out of 4 sense leads loose/disconnected from the PCB pad. Any loose leads were only at the PCB pad end, not at the current collector end. These sense leads are ultrasonically welded through the same attachment process as the cells, but the connections to the flex PCB pad are clearly not as robust as the other connections or are exposed to higher vibration over time due to relative motion of the flex. The flex PCB design was introduced in 2015, just before the Gen 2 HV Battery, and in production until the 2021 refresh. The HV Battery did not ever have any visible liquid ingress or physical damage. It is my understanding through various forums such as Tesla Motors Club that this is an increasingly common issue, and that Tesla is experiencing a high rate of this open voltage sense harness issue at their service centers for vehicles that have not been in any prior accidents or incidents (forums generally only have salvage vehicles that are out of warranty). Errors typically are: BMS_f107_SW_Cell_Voltage_Sensor BMS_f177_OpenVshDetected BMS_w129_SW_BMB_VSH_Connector Or their variants (a129, w177, etc.)Read more

Morley advised me to keep the car at the dealership as they would be handling the buyback. Informed dealership that that was the plan. Recall Statement – Fuel Overflow and Injury Incident Involving 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 I am reporting a recurring and hazardous issue with the fuel system on my 2021 Dodge Ram 1500. March 30, 2025: While refueling at a local gas station, the tank overflowed by approximately 3 gallons once it reached full capacity. I initially believed the problem was due to a faulty pump and notified a station att
... endant to clean the spill. May 2, 2025: At a different gas station, while refueling the same vehicle, a small amount of fuel again overflowed unexpectedly. This raised concerns, as it occurred under different fueling conditions. May 25, 2025: While refueling at the same station used on May 2nd, approximately 5 gallons of gasoline overflowed from the tank. As I attempted to remove the nozzle, I slipped on the spilled fuel and fell onto the concrete, injuring my right leg. At this point, it became clear that the issue was not isolated to specific gas station pumps, but rather a defect in the vehicle’s fuel system. This ongoing issue poses a significant safety risk. Beyond the environmental hazard, I could have sustained a serious head injury or worse during the fall. I am convinced there is a malfunction in the fuel system of my vehicle, and I strongly believe this warrants immediate investigation and a potential recall. This matter is unacceptable and must be addressed to prevent further harm to myself or others.Read more

I am submitting this complaint regarding a recurring turbocharger issue in my 2017 Ford Explorer Sport (VIN: [XXX] ). In April 2024, I was forced to replace the turbocharger system at a cost of approximately $2,500. Despite the repair, my vehicle continues to have serious performance issues. Most recently, the check engine light returned, and a diagnostic scan from O’Reilly Auto Parts showed er
... ror code P219A – Bank 1 Air/Fuel Ratio Imbalance. This code indicates that the engine is still not functioning correctly—pointing to a likely underlying or unresolved defect. During the initial failure, oil leaked extensively into the engine bay and burned off in thick white smoke while I was driving. It was a serious safety concern, and the cause was consistent with Ford’s existing recall for this engine (NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V925000), which was limited to the Police Interceptor Utility model despite the civilian Sport version using the same 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine and components. It is extremely concerning that my vehicle—outside of the official recall range—suffered the same turbo failure and now continues to show problems even after a costly repair. Either the mechanic’s initial repair was incomplete, or the core design flaw that caused the issue in the first place is still at play, meaning this problem may continue to repeat itself. I respectfully request that: 1.Ford expand the recall to include vehicles with the same components and failures, regardless of their designation. 2.NHTSA investigate the scope of this issue across the broader 2017 Explorer Sport lineup. 3.Ford provide reimbursement or support for the costly repair, which has not resolved the issue. 4.Ford issue a technical service bulletin or revised part guidance if this is an ongoing engineering issue. I am happy to provide full documentation, photos, and service records if needed. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I was driving within a city and came to a red light. Since my car is a hybrid (2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, also I just purchased this lease in April 2025) the car will switch to the EV battery when I come to a halt and when I propel forward the car will either remain on the EV battery (if the battery has mile range) or it will switch to the engine. I finally let my car sit completely turned off for 30-40 mins and attempted to restart one more time and it did start and I was able to drive it to a safe location. On May 20, 2025, at approximately 76,100 miles, I attempted to open the fuel filler door on my 2022 Hyundai Tucson and found that it would not release. The car was unlocked and parked, but the fuel door remained stuck. I eventually managed to open it only after a frenzied random sequence of repeatedly pressing the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob while simultaneously pressing on the fuel do
... or. The mechanism finally released after many attempts, but it was inconsistent and unreliable. A second incident occurred on May 26, 2025 at 76,460 miles when I needed to refuel. While I was not stranded, the experience was frustrating and concerning — especially since the vehicle does not appear to have any kind of manual emergency fuel door release. If this issue occurred while low on fuel or far from help, it could lead to a significant inconvenience or hazard. I brought the vehicle to a Hyundai dealership on May 28, 2025 and demonstrated the problem to a Service Advisor. The Advisor that assisted me was unaware of the problem and could not find a recall or Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). Since it is past the 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, I was told the issue would not be covered; I would have to pay out of pocket. However, I’ve read about other 2022/2023 Tucson owners experiencing similar failures, suggesting a possible design flaw in the fuel door actuator or latch assembly. I believe this should be reviewed as a potential defect. Consistent failures of a basic refueling mechanism across multiple vehicles should be taken seriously.Read more

Recall Z46 for the High Pressure Fuel Rail. Truck has been down for a month and was told today my truck is still not fixed and they have no clue when the parts will be coming in for the to get my truck done.

My husband was driving our family truck onto the highway to merge into traffic, when he lost all engine power, several dash lights turned on, and a clanking noise started. This was an extremely dangerous situation because the truck stalled, while trying speed up into highway traffic. He swerved to avoid cars and pulled off to the right shoulder. This a major safety issue because if either of my te
... enage daughters had been driving the truck, they would likely not have been able to avoid an accident! Mechanics confirmed the truck had suffered a catastrophic engine failure while driving. The dealership confirmed a lifter failed causing the damage. They said the whole engine had to be replaced. GM offered to pay half of cost, proving they know this is an issue. The truck's not even 5 years old, so the fact that engine would just stop while driving, when we had kept up with regular maintenance, sounded bizarre to me. I researched online and learned of 2 class action lawsuits (CA & MI) claiming GM knows about this defect in their engine and continuing to sell trucks with the same safety issue. Not more than 2 weeks after our incident, hundreds of thousands of the 6.3L engines were recalled after a NHTSA investigatio. GM has issued several service bulletins internally on "failing lifters", but has not told the public of the safety hazard. The service bulletins acknowledge the issue, recommending GM mechanics use a lighter oil (SAE-0W20 instead of the customary SAE-0W40) or change the oil more frequently. (service update N212353840). But car owners don't know this! GM is putting lives at risk, as no one expects their engine to completely give out while on the highway. Thankfully, my husband has been driving for 35 years. Had it been a younger, more inexperienced driver, they would not have been able to recover from the engine failure, especially while merging into high speed traffic - causing a crash, injuries and possibly death. The public deserves to know.Read more

While driving, the car started making a whining sound on acceleration. As I was driving up my street the car went into limp mode and shut down, only allowing enough time to park. If this had happened on a main road or freeway it could have caused an accident due to the sudden loss of power. The issue is the high pressure fuel pump and has been confirmed by a Chevrolet dealer service center. I
... reported the issue to GM asking for assistance with the repair and to explore whether or not this could fall under the power train warranty. Mileage at the time of the incident was 39113. The only warning lights that appeared came on as the car went into "limp mode" but no warning prior to this incident.Read more

2017 Toyota 4 runner SR5 While driving on the highway the vehicle stopped apparently the fuel pump stopped working and could not get going anymore. I had a mechanic come to the house with a PC and test it. He told me that’s a change that will need to take place in a garage. Luckily I was able to stop on the side and paid someone to bring car home

While driving home on the freeway in stop-go traffic, the check engine light suddenly came on. At idle and low speed, the engine ran very rough with lots of vibration and acceleration became difficult. I got off the freeway as soon as possible to take surface streets as I felt unsafe continuing to drive on the freeway. The car continued to vibrate significantly. This happened very close to home a
... nd I was able to get home but slowly. When the car cooled down I checked the fluid levels - oil was fine and clear but coolant level was low despite a recent service where a coolant flush was performed and the coolant level was at the minimum level indicated by the reservoir. The dealer performed a test and the fuel injector unit for cylinder 3 failed. Apparently there is no observable coolant leak. The car is now awaiting repair under warranty, but the part is not available for 8 weeks. The dealer intends to replace the failed injector when the part arrives.Read more

1) I bought this car in October 2021, when it had ~79,000 miles on it. After ~2,000 miles, it showed a low engine oil sign, and it has been showing this issue since then, i.e., I have to change my oil/filter after every ~2000 miles. It has incurred a huge cost. I talked to the dealers, but they did nothing to solve this problem and charged me ~$1200. Funny part. Whenever I go for an oil change, th
... ey say that KIA/HYUNDAI cars have this engine problem. It's a joke to this system that the Govt still allows them to roll on the USA roads. 2) Today, this car had a flashing engine light. I will go to a mechanic tomorrow, but afraid of how much they will charge.Read more

While driving at freeway speeds (70–85 mph), I experience a sudden and complete loss of acceleration when pressing the gas pedal fully. The vehicle stops responding to throttle input entirely for 1–2 seconds. To regain power, I must take my foot off the pedal for a moment and then press it again. This has happened multiple times and presents a severe safety hazard when merging, passing, or try
... ing to avoid collisions. •Frequency & Reproducibility: This has occurred at least 3 times over the past year, under similar conditions. It is intermittent, but consistently happens during high-speed acceleration. •Dealership Response: I’ve reported the issue to the dealership, but they claim they cannot replicate the problem and do not consider it a concern. No resolution or inspection has been offered beyond a basic check. •Why It’s Dangerous: This issue could lead to a deadly accident if I’m unable to accelerate in time to avoid a crash. It creates a sudden and unexpected loss of control at highway speeds.Read more
