Vehicle purchased from dealer 3/5/25 (brand new). Noticed struggle to start/shaking vehicle/weak power, within first week. Malfunction indicator light came on 4/15/25, brought into dealership for testing. Data showed fail/pass misfires upwards of 30 times. Diagnosed as fuel injector pump misfire. Part was replaced and picked up the vehicle 5/8/25. Vehicle misfired again on 5/9/25. Brought into dea
... lership for further testing; service advisor stated that the misfire was "likely due to air in the new pump." Noticeable misfire again on 5/27/25, no malfunction indicator light came on, notified service advisor. 5/30/25 vehicle misfired significantly, malfunction indicator light came on again, brought in for service. 6/11/25 service advisor stated they are doing a "pin fit repair" to refit all the connector pins for the ignition coils. I don't feel safe in this car. It's brand new, and should perform as such. When it misfires, I can barely drive past 30mph. It shakes violently, and I don't know whether it is safe to be driving it. Dealership doesn't seem to understand what the actual problem is.Read more

In December 2024, all of the lights on my dashboard came on & my car would not accelerate. The code indicated that it was a "Cylinder 2 Misfire." I replaced the ignition coil for cylinder 2 but my car continued to have the same issues. I had all 4 ignition coils replaced and all 4 spark plugs. In March 2025, all of the lights on the dashboard came on again with the car not accelerating properly. I
... had it looked at again, was told that it was a "Cylinder 2 Misfire" again but all 4 ignition coils were working properly. A spark plug was replaced at that time. Then, in May 2025, the car did the same thing with all of the lights coming and the car would not properly accelerate. The car again read that there was a misfire with "Cylinder 3" but all of the ignition coils worked properly. I had the fuel injectors replaced and another spark plug replaced. The car didn't even make it 24 hours before all the lights came on again. The RPMs in the car now go past "3" but will not accelerate & shift gears. The Honda Dealership has advised me that the head gasket needs replaced. My car has 74,000 miles on it. I had it inspected April 2024 with no head gasket issues & the car was at 64,000 miles approximately. So, in 8 months' time, the head gasket was blown & the car is well under 100,000 miles. I have been told that the engine my car has, 1.5L turbo with Honda has had this issue to the extreme that a class action lawsuit has been filed as Honda refuses to do any time of recall or assist with repairs. I literally had to drive with my 4 ways on to avoid being hit in an intersection due to the inability of my car to accelerate. The NHTSA needs to investigate Honda & determine if they are defrauding consumers by refusing to issue a recall due to this common & dangerous issue. I have owned 7 hours in the 30 years I have had a driver's license & never once had a head gasket issue or any issues to this extreme. I have never replaced a head gasket in any car that I have owned.Read more

On May 22, 2025, while parked, my 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 spontaneously caught fire, completely destroying the vehicle. Thankfully, no one was inside, and no injuries occurred, but the property damage was significant. Given that my vehicle caught fire spontaneously and matches the defect described in this recall, I firmly believe this incident was related to that defect. Mercedes-Benz has not provided adequate assistance. The vehicle was towed to a local dealership (Plaza Mercedes-Benz), but they refused to accept it, adding further confusion and hardship. I am submitting this report to request that NHTSA fully investigate this issue and work to ensure that Mercedes-Benz USA takes responsibility for this vehicle defect and compensates me for this dangerous failure. This truck had a complete fuel system replaced already once when it failed while the customer was driving. We are the next owners and didn't know it had this major failure before purchase. There several years that are under recall currently and our year is not one of them but it has the same pump. They should not only issue recalls on all trucks that have the known failing CP4 pump, but also give the customers the option to upgrade with the after market DCR pump. The one pump that has been the #1 best replacement option. Installing a new CP4 pump only buys Ford mote time to next failure and keeps their ships full. We spent 50k on this truck. ... December 2024, while traveling with my child on [XXX] near Barstow, California, the vehicle experienced severe shaking during an ascent, leading to a temporary loss of power while driving. I continued to drive after a brief respite due to the unsafe, remote location in the desert. Upon arrival in Las Vegas, the vehicle was inspected by a Lexus dealership, and they were unable to identify the issue at that time. In January 2025, the vehicle’s check engine light came on and further inspections at Lexus South County revealed that the vehicle was unsafe to operate without replacing the fuel pump. The dealership indicated that the vehicle would not be released unless this repair was completed and the fuel pump was replaced. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) identified a safety recall (NHTSA Campaign ID 20V682000) for these vehicles due to a defect in the low-pressure fuel pump. The defect could lead to engine stalling, increasing the risk of a crash. Affected vehicles were equipped with a fuel pump that may fail, causing the engine to stall while driving. Toyota and Lexus dealers were instructed to replace the fuel pump assembly with an improved one at no cost to the vehicle owner. These events suggest a potential failure to adequately address a known safety defect, leading to compromised vehicle performance and increased risk to occupants. Failure to add this vehicle to the recall list created an ongoing unsafe situation for my family and also compromised the health of the vehicles’ engine and other parts that rely on the fuel pump. My 2024 Honda CR-V Hybrid began experiencing a noticeable loss of engine power and severe shaking while idling. The problem first appeared when I was parked with the engine running, and the car suddenly started vibrating strongly. Shortly after, the “Emissions System Problem” warning message appeared on the dashboard. A local Honda dealer suspected a malfunction in the fuel injector system, w

This issue could increase the risk of an accident, particularly when merging or accelerating in traffic, due to delayed throttle response. Many other CR-V Hybrid owners have reported similar symptoms online, pointing to a potential widespread defect in the fuel delivery system. Despite this, there is currently no official recall for the fuel injectors in this model. I am concerned that this issue, if left unresolved, could lead to engine damage or even pose a fire risk due to unregulated or incomplete fuel combustion. Given the number of reports and the potential danger, I respectfully urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue and consider initiating a recall to protect driver safety.Read more

I then paid 6k out of pocket to have it replaced with a better transmission since I learned GM put a bad transmission in the Tahoe I have (I was told I missed the time limit to have it fixed on their dime). Then 6 weeks later a fuel injector and the lifters failed due to the active fuel management. No one was hurt thankfully because I was just leaving home to go to work when I noticed the tapping sound and had my mechanic come look at it. Him and 2 other mechanics confirmed it was the lifters. I had already borrowed money to replace the transmission and can’t afford the $12k quote to fix it. Now it has been sitting in my driveway for almost a year unable to be driven. It is however causing me severe depression. I’m borrowing my son’s car while paying almost $700 monthly on a Tahoe I can’t even drive. I was even more sad when I found out there’s thousands of people with the same issue. GM should be ashamed of themselves!Read more

My car started smelling like gas 10 days ago. There was no visible leak. We took it to the shop still can’t figure out the issues. Took it to pick up my son from school, it started leaking fuel (I had 1/4 of a tank left). I turned off the car and it stopped leaking fuel. Needing a fix quick, I then drove 4 miles to get to the shop. Before I started driving I checked and it said I had enough gas
... to drive 15 miles. However, while at a stop light, the car shuddered and completely died. We then had it towed to the shop and hour away. The dealership had had it since then and found that it was related to the fuel pump suction recall. However, because the problem has gotten so bad, I now need a new fuel tank. Because it will in fact continue to keep leaking fuel and no matter how much gas you put it will just leak out. This is a safety hazard not only for me as a driver but also to other drivers. After diagnosing the problem, the dealership called VW corporate to inquire whether they will cover the fix since the recall was what caused the issue. 10 days later, VW is still looking into it, and I’ve now spent over $1500 on a rental car and towing fees. This car was completely unsafe to drive. And it is completely irresponsible for VW to allow customers to drive an unsafe vehicle and make us pay for repairs for issues that we didn’t cause.Read more
