There have been several instances where the vehicle’s “Idle-Stop” feature failed to restart the vehicle resulting in a stall. This has happened in heavy traffic including once in the middle of a busy intersection while waiting to make a left turn. My vehicle has not been inspected by the dealer, but this is a known issue with an open investigation.

The plastic fuel pump housing cracked at a spot outside of the fuel tank. When the pump was running, the crack caused the pump to spray fuel outside of the gas tank where the fuel puddled on top of the tank and dripped down over the sides of the tank. Incident date: Jul 2, 2025
My vehicle experienced a persistent series of malfunctions over the course of its use, primarily related to the electric battery system. The most serious issue is a complete failure of the high-voltage battery, rendering the car entirely inoperable. The vehicle now displays a "Battery Fault" error message and cannot be started or driven. The manufacturer (Jaguar Land Rover) refuses to repair th
... e vehicle under warranty while a buyback negotiation is underway, leaving me with an unusable and potentially unsafe EV. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue, no adequate repair or restitution has been provided. The vehicle is currently in my possession and available for inspection upon request. The vehicle's battery failure occurred without warning, and the car is now immobilized in a location where it could pose a hazard if not towed. The sudden loss of power and refusal to start could have placed me or others at risk had this occurred while driving or in traffic. The Jaguar Service Center confirmed the issue is due to a battery fault but declined to repair it during ongoing manufacturer buyback discussion. No repair or further inspection has been done. The vehicle displayed repeated system alerts and warning messages over the past two years. Most recently, it showed a persistent "Battery Fault" message immediately before total failure. Earlier issues included unreliable charging, loss of power, and recurring error messages related to the electric drive system. The earliest warning messages began with the first year of ownership (within the last month). The complete failure with "Battery Fault" occurred in July 2025.Read more

There was also a hissing sound coming from the fuel tank. The EVAP purge solenoid was replaced on 5/30/25, the evap system failed again on 6/19/25 at which point the vehicle was sent to VW for a software update. In November of 2024, my truck was shaking, accelerating erratically, and felt like the transmission was slipping. The check engine light came on as well. They found gasoline inside cylinder 6, and upon doing a compression test, it was w

After researching online forums and technical bulletins, it’s clear this issue is not uncommon among 2.7L EcoBoost engines from this model year, suggesting a manufacturer defect. The cost to replace the engine (as now recommended) has been estimated at nearly $10,000. With the history of regular oil and maintenance by the previous owner and myself, I feel this is a manufacturing defect that could potentially cause harm to the driver and passengers.Read more

I’m filing this complaint regarding my 2022 GMC Yukon Denali (VIN: [XXX] , MSRP ~$76,805) with an unresolved L87 engine recall. I made an appointment at my local GMC dealership on 5/8/25 specifically for the L87 recall. Upon arrival, staff only documented the Serial Data Gateway Module recall, which I hadn’t even known about. When I mentioned the 6.2L engine, I was asked if I was “sure.”
... I believe I was treated dismissively because I’m a woman. After pushing back, staff pulled up the bulletin, confirmed my engine needed replacement, and told me to “drive it until it blows up or there’s a fix, whichever comes first.” The L87 was only added to my receipt after I insisted—it was falsely listed as an “added operation,” though it was the reason I came in. I sent a certified letter to GM on 5/12/25 (signed for on 5/15/25) confirming the date I tendered the vehicle. Both GM and the dealer were fully aware the 60-day federal repair window had begun. It is now well past that deadline, and the L87 recall remains unresolved. Compounding the issue, the AC failed on [XXX], and the vehicle has been parked since early June due to extreme KY heat, making it unsafe to drive my children. I rely on this vehicle for daily commuting—driving ~100 miles/day for work—and it is also the only vehicle we own capable of towing our family boat, which has now sat unused all summer. I am currently paying $1,000/mo for the Yukon, $600/mo for the boat, and $200/mo for insurance—$1,800/month in preventable financial losses caused by GM’s failure to act. No repair has been offered. No loaner vehicle has been provided. No response has been received. I believe I was misled and discriminated against at the dealership, and I am now financially burdened and without a safe, reliable vehicle. This situation qualifies under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act for repurchase, compensation, or forced resolution. I am requesting a formal investigation and full remedy. I own a 2023 VW Atlas purchased new from a Volkswagen dealership. In October 2024, while the vehicle was under warranty, I reported engine hesitation, rough idle, and near-stalling. I showed the service advisor a video I recorded of the issue happening in real time. Despite this, the dealership refused to investigate further because no check engine light or fault codes were present. I was sent hom

VW refuses to cover the cost or provide goodwill assistance, stating that the dealership couldn’t replicate the issue and therefore couldn’t act. I was also denied the ability to speak with a service manager when the failure occurred. This injector issue clearly began during the warranty period and was dismissed without proper investigation. The behavior compromised the vehicle’s driveability and posed a potential safety risk to me and my children. There needs to be accountability when clear evidence is provided and dealerships refuse to act until the problem escalates past warranty coverage. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate fuel injector failures in the 2023 VW Atlas and the pattern of warranty denial tied to lack of fault codes, despite clear performance issues and owner-supplied evidence.Read more

The engine now makes a higher pitched noise and then the transmission will no go into drive it immediately goes into neutral, the car slows down and you must pull over as you have no control over the car. The gas doesn’t work. There are so many
... alerts that pop up with a malfunction- parking brake, transmission, distance warning, audi presense warning, tire pressure malfunction, transmission malfunction. BEFORE this- There was an issue found when a check engine light appeared after the car failed emmissions testing. Control Pilot Circuit High and AC refrigerant pressor sensor B circuit failures listed. The car went to Audi and they said it was an air conditioning issue and other faults. The cleared the faults and signed off on the emmissions paperwork. I told Audi of the issue when getting it serviced- they could not replicate the random drive system failure alert. Again the same issue- bring it to audi- they had it for a week or so- still cannot replicate the issue. A few weeks later while driving on I91, the driver system alert comes on and there was a high pitched sound car goes into neutral- I have no control over the vehicle and coast down 2 roads and into a driveway of a volkswagen dealership in an unsafe area of Hartford. I then started the care up and took it to Audi of East Hartford. The replicated the issue they said and replaced the entire EOC unit for almost $7000. They had the car for a month. Then after having it back a couple of weeks it randomly does it again and restarting the car would reseg it only once and then another alert and the car dies on the highway and I again lose control and pull over to the shoulder. ... d other times it randomly dies or stalls when I’m coming to a stop. It recently sat for a couple of days and then started again like nothing happened. This keeps happening on and off, and I’ve noticed it’s worse when it’s really hot outside or after it’s been driving a lot I took it to the dealership and they said my specific VIN isn’t part of the recall, but I wanted to report this because it really seems like the same issue. From what I’ve read, the V62 recall had to do with a faulty fuel pump relay that’s built into the TIPM and causes exactly these kinds of problems. I understand not all vehicles were included, but since I’m having the same symptoms and my car matches the year, make, and engine that recall applied to, I think it’s something that should be looked into. I’d really appreciate it if this could be reviewed. I just want to make sure my vehicle is safe and functioning properly, especially since the stalling can be risky depending on where and when it happens.Read more

Vehicle: 2021 GMC Yukon Denali Component: Fuel System, Gasoline – Fuel Pump Control Module Incident Date: 7-10-2025 Mileage 61,263 Location: SR 2006 Coats, NC Summary of Complaint: While my wife was pulling out of our neighborhood in our 2021 Yukon Denali, the vehicle suddenly shut off while navigating a slight curve. The Yukon remained disabled in the roadway for over an hour and ultimately had to be towed. Upon inspection, the dealership mechanic immediately identified the issue without even running diagnostics. He confirmed it was a failed fuel pump control module, which he stated is a common issue with this model. This failure represents a serious safety risk, particularly had it occurred on a high-speed interstate or in dense traffic. A sudden loss of power and inability to move the vehicle can result in dangerous roadside situations or collisions. GMC needs to address this recurring defect before it leads to more severe incidents or injuries. No warning lights or indicators appeared prior to the failure.Read more

I am submitting this complaint due to repeated and unresolved safety and performance issues. Beginning in mid-2023, the vehicle experienced multiple system-wide failures, including: -All dashboard warning lights illuminating intermittently without cause, sometimes for days. -Sudden failure to accelerate after stopping, including stalling in intersections. -Engine running rich with repeated check
... engine light activations. On two occasions, the vehicle stalled in the middle of busy intersections, once with my [XXX] child in the car, posing a serious risk to my family and other drivers. The dealership replaced the A/C Control Unit (June 2023) citing it as the cause of the system alerts, but no improvement was seen. The dealership then diagnosed a faulty VSA unit, quoted $2,500, but never ordered the part or followed up. A third-party shop (Mr. Tire) diagnosed a faulty ECM, which the dealership ignored. In September 2023, dealership recommended replacing the fuel injectors, which I paid for out-of-pocket (~$1,000), which resolved the warning lights and stalling. However, ongoing problems persist: The air conditioning system is no longer cooling effectively, despite prior repair. The car also feels underpowered when accelerating or starting, with weak engine revving compared to when the car was new. While no current warning lights appear, the performance is noticeably degraded. In April 2025, the vehicle’s fuel pump was finally replaced under Honda’s service bulletin recall after being on the waiting list for the parts for nearly 1.5 years, but these other concerns remain unresolved. I am submitting this complaint because: The stalling incidents created serious safety hazards in live traffic. The vehicle has experienced repeated systemic failures that align with known issues reported by other 2018 CR-V owners. Despite multiple dealership visits and significant personal expense, the vehicle has not been restored to reliable and safe operating condition. The check engine light came on and I took the vehicle to the Ram service center. The tech said the turbo actuator caused the light to go on. He reset the computer and said to bring the vehicle back if it comes on again. About 1 month later it reappeared. The Ram service said the turbo charger actuator needed replacing (the complete turbocharger). They said the failure could result in a total loss
... of power or engine failure. I tow a 10,000 lb trailer and an engine failure on the road could result in an accident or injury due to no power from the engine. The part can be viewed for inspection.Read more

While driving on the highway at 70 MPH, the truck experienced a harsh transmission shift followed by a sudden loss of acceleration and entered shutdown mode to protect the engine. The steering became stiff, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, and a message appeared on the driver display indicating a transmission issue and advising to drive with caution. The RPMs surged and the truck struggle
... d to maintain a speed of 45 MPH while the remaining at 4000 RPM. This created an extremely hazardous situation for both me and my passenger. I safely pulled into the breakdown lane, came to a complete stop, shifted into park, and turned off the engine. Upon restarting the vehicle, the Check Engine Light remained on, and the transmission continued to shift abnormally at low speeds, including noticeable shuddering.Read more

I am the owner of a 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 and am writing to formally express my concern regarding a persistent fuel leak issue I have experienced with my vehicle. Over the past months, I have spent more than $4,000 attempting to address this problem. Repairs have included the replacement of the fuel canister and the fuel pump. Despite these efforts, the vehicle continues to leak fuel from the a
... rea near the rear right tire, both when the vehicle is in motion and when it is parked. This issue presents a significant safety risk, not only to myself but to others on the road. I am aware that there is an existing recall for the 2014 E350 model related to similar fuel leakage problems. Given the similarities in design and the nature of the defect, I strongly urge Mercedes-Benz to investigate this matter and consider extending the recall to include the 2013 E350 models as well. I believe this is a critical safety matter that warrants immediate attention to prevent any potential accidents or hazards. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response and to a resolution that prioritizes customer safety.Read more
