Out of nowhere today started my car to go to work and it’s leaking fuel from the fuel pump area, only when it is running, pouring out fuel, I seen that some 2014 Honda Civic’s have a recall for fuel pump manufactured between January 2014 through November 2014 and mine was manufactured in February 2014 and I have this fuel pump leak issue, no recalls come up when I enter my VIN, but this has to

For approximately the last year (2024-2025) my 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4 with the 6.2L engine has had noticeable ticking, knocking, and unprovoked shaking upon start up and idle. The pickup has stalled out at stop lights and intersections in the past, posing risk. In June (2025) the pickup was taken to a certified mechanic for inspection who suggested possible lifter or valve failure. The vehi
... cle exhibits a persistent ticking sound from the engine, which I believe may be related to lifter or valve issues, similar to those reported in lawsuits against GM for 2019-2024 models and the recall for 2021-2024 models (NHTSA Recall ID: 24V-676). This ticking occurs regularly, including at approximately 54,500 miles, and raises concerns about potential engine failure or sudden loss of propulsion, which could be hazardous, especially at highway speeds. I have noticed approximately 2 quarts of engine oil usage per my last 2 oil changes (roughly every 6,000 miles). I recently had taken the pickup to a local GM dealership where they informed me that I am not longer covered under warranty and the recent recall is not applicable. I was advised to “keep and eye on it, and get a AAA membership”. I am aware of at least 10 class action lawsuits against GM for similar engine issues in vehicles like mine, suggesting a widespread defect. These issues, combined with the potential for engine failure or impaired vehicle control, warrant investigation to ensure driver safety. I have records of the ticking sound and can provide further details if needed. I am willing to cooperate with NHTSA for inspections or further documentation.Read more

The fuel pump filter housing is the cause of the malfunction, it is available for inspection upon request. When I am driving I intermittently lose fuel delivery altogether and my car comes to a halt for a second until I press on the gas pedal to get the car going again, this puts myself and other people in danger if my car randomly stops while I am driving around others and causes crash risk. A
... n independent service center ran a diagnostic and stated it was the fuel pump filter housing. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance reps. But it has been inspected by the service center near me. An engine code was produced that pointed to the gas cap, but the gas cap was fine, which indicates fuel delivery issues. There was also shaking during acceleration prior to the incident happening. My VIN does not fall under the current extended warranty, but the issues are identical to the issues of the VINs that do fall under the extended warranty.Read more

Component/System that failed: Fuel mileage range display began fluctuating erratically after a fuel pump recall repair on [XXX], at Open Road Honda, Edison, NJ. Is it available for inspection? Yes. How safety was put at risk: The fuel range display jumps unpredictably (30+ miles up or down), especially after refueling. This causes a driving distraction by pulling my focus from the road. Has the
... problem been confirmed by a dealer or service center? Open Road Honda confirmed the issue, stating the system lost 63,000 miles of driving data during recall repair and won’t stabilize until 100,000 miles are driven. A second Honda dealer said this is not normal and recommended diagnostics. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer or others? Yes. Inspected multiple times by Open Road Honda and reviewed by their District Parts & Service Manager (DPSM) from American Honda, who called it a “normal characteristic” post-recall. Honda Corporate opened a case but found the explanation unreasonable. Warning lamps or messages: None. When symptoms first appeared: Days after the recall repair in February 2025. Summary: I provided photo/video evidence and returned multiple times for service, but the issue remains unresolved. The head mechanic told me to “just not look at the mileage range.” The problem began after the recall and continues, causing distraction. The engine will suddenly shut down, power steering is lost, and power braking will also be lost. This problem was diagnosed as a failed fuel pump module. The failed part was replaced by the dealer (GM part#13554820). The service manager acknowledged that this is a known and common issue and that GM is aware of it but has not issued a voluntary recall. The car has stalled 4 or 5 times, while driving in traffic. This can obviously be life threatening. The check engine light came on yesterday. We recently brought the car to Mercedes Benz in Daytona Beach, Florida. They told us we had low pressure in the cylinders, and needed a new cylinder head for $10,000. The cylinder pressures on their test however were all normal. They never mentioned a recall
... for a fuel pump defect causing cars to stall. A local independent repair company confirmed the cylinder pressure test was normal. Mercedes recalled 324,000 vehicles for this defective fuel pump between 2012 and 2020 (abc news). They recalled over 143,000 vehicles from June 2021 to 2023. My model, GLE350, was included in both recalls. I called Mercedes customer service. They said my car was built in February 2021, and there is no recall for this vehicle. There have been recalls for defective fuel pumps from 2012 to 2020, and June 2021 to 2023. I strongly suspect my vehicle built in February 2021 has the same defective fuel pump. I will bring the vehicle to an independent well qualified service center. If they diagnose a fuel pump problem. I would like Mercedes to reimburse me for the repair.Read more

Subject: Fuel System Failure Resulting in Engine Damage – 2020 RAM 2500 Pickup VIN: [XXX] Complaint Summary: I am submitting this complaint to formally report a dangerous and costly fuel system defect in my 2020 Dodge Ram 2500 Pickup (VIN: [XXX] ) that has resulted in catastrophic engine damage. Although Chrysler has issued a recall for the high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) in many 2020 Ram truc
... ks equipped with the 6.7L Cummins engine, I was told that my vehicle was not included in the recall—even though it exhibits all the classic symptoms of HPFP failure. This is a safety hazard and a potential emissions violation. Details of the Incident: In June 2025, I brought my truck to Tracy Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM after experiencing engine misfires, loss of power, and a knocking noise. The dealership diagnosed a P0303 cylinder misfire and noted a fuel smell in the engine oil, as documented in repair order #[XXX]. Despite extensive diagnostic work—including compression tests, leak-down, and injector swaps—the misfire remained unresolved, and a tapping noise persisted. The technician explicitly noted fuel contamination in the oil and suspected internal engine damage due to a fuel system issue. To further investigate, I submitted an oil sample to Blackstone Laboratories. The lab confirmed the engine oil was heavily diluted with diesel fuel—over 10% fuel contamination, which reduced the viscosity from 5W40 to the equivalent of 5W20. This is consistent with HPFP failure leaking fuel into the crankcase. The oil report also noted excessive steel wear and recommended immediate oil change and fuel system inspection. At no time was a check engine light present, nor was there a clear diagnostic code for HPFP failure. Chrysler continues to deny responsibility even though the evidence clearly points to a failed HPFP—a well-documented issue for this engine model and year. The cost of diagnosis and parts alone has exceeded $4,000, and the engine is likely destroy INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIARead more

Additional safety concerns include a defective impact sensor, airbag warning lights, and a burned-out headlamp. These compromise crash readiness and visibility. Due to ongoing issues, the vehicle has been parked and unused for months, as it is unsafe and unreliable to drive. The manufacturer has not inspected the vehicle. Unsure of the exact cause, appears to be the high voltage battery/electric drive function that is faulty. It is creating a hazardous condition causing the vehicle to propel itself forward while driving in traffic and almost hitting other vehicles on the roadway when the electric drive fails or it switches between battery and the engine. If it’s not propelling itself forward, it’s unexpectedly
... decreasing power and preventing the vehicle from driving after stopping for traffic, traffic signals and traffic signs. Increasing the risk for a rear-end collision. The electric drive is failing & rapidly switching between battery & engine multiple times in a short period. Likely increasing risk for a fire hazard. This is putting the driver & others on the roadway at risk due to increased collision and fire risks. Ferman BMW has recreated the issue. They advised it needed 2 new batteries, standard and the auxiliary battery. Those were replaced and the vehicle still is having issues. Six replaced 3 times. They now blame it on the high voltage batteries & their age. HV batteries are covered under warranty, yet Ferman BMW states they are not because there’s no fault code. Their position is the electric drive malfunction message is a notification & not a fault code. Despite duplicating the issues, having notice of the hazard they refuse to fix it. The message states “ Electric drive is temporarily restricted. You can continue driving. After cooling/heating of high-voltage battery full electric drive power will immediately be available.” A brief search will reveal many others with the same issue and some were successful in getting it handled under warranty. I had just driven up a steep driveway and made a slightly sharper than 90 degree turn at a very low speed to pull into a home parking spot when the car lunged forward suddenly and slammed into the stone wall of the house at a high speed. The section of this driveway after the turn is only 2.5 car lengths, but the car picked up enough speed to smash the front of the car in. The car was totaled and
... driver and side curtain airbags all deployed. I do not know why this happened as there is no way I would have hit the gas hard while pulling up to a building to stop. I also would not have slammed on the gas thinking it was the brake since there would have been no reason to slam on the brake when I was only going 5-10 miles per hour max around the tight turn. My shoe was not caught on a pedal, both sandals were still on my feet after the accident. I am not a two footed driver. I feel that it was an accelerator malfunction, as the gas pedal had always been a little strange with a delayed response, but may have also involved the transmission after driving up the steep hill and then returning to a short but flat stretch leading up to the house. I was very bruised up, particularly my shins and ankles. Two months later, I still have some visible bruising. I also had injuries from the seat belt on my chest and what appeared to be a powder burn from the airbags. I was quite traumatized by the sudden acceleration and violence of the crash and not understanding how or why it happened. If someone had been standing in front of the house to greet me on my return, they would have been killed. The car was towed away and totaled by the insurance company, so the problem hasn't been reproduced or confirmed. There were no warning lamps or messages that I'm aware of prior to the incident, except that the gas pedal has always felt inconsistent concerning when it engages. A poorly designed engine leads to misfires even after proper maintenance, increasing the chances of a crash. On Monday, May 12th, 2025, the MIL indicator came on and began flashing while I was driving. The engine began to misfire so violently that the vehicle was nearly undriveable; acceleration was dangerously poor. After I got home, I used a OBD-II code scanner and pulled a "P0301 - Cylinder 1
... misfire" DTC. Then, I did some research, and found that a poorly designed engine causes oil to burn inside the cylinders and foul the spark plugs. I inspected the spark plugs and found multiple fouled plugs, specifically on the cylinders on which Honda's Variable Cylinder Management activates on, cylinders 1-4. I replaced all six spark plugs, and the issue went away, as expected. Photos of the fouled plugs are attached. Honda is aware of this problem, as it recently extended the warranty of the engine in this vehicle. I received a letter on July 31, 2025, titled, "Warranty Extension: 2013-15 Pilot & 2013-17 Odyssey MIL Comes on with DTCs P0301 thru P0304." (See uploaded file.) Spark plug inspection and replacement is part of the repair, in addition to a partial engine rebuild and software update. However, the warranty extension only applies *after* the misfiring has started, which is no help to the safety of this vehicle, as the issue can start at any moment while driving. Furthermore, the warranty extension only adds an extra six months to many of the affected vehicles. Therefore, any vehicle this extension applies to is an unsafe vehicle unless the safety issue already occurred and was repaired. If the issue presents itself after this time period, the owner is left with an unremedied vehicle and with an expensive repair bill.Read more

Although the vehicle was fully powered, it would not move and I had to call AAA in order to get the vehicle towed to the closest AAA Approved facility which was AutoWorks Diagnostics & Repair in Kittery, ME. They observed fluids had leaked out but were unable to locate where the leak was coming from and very Loud Noises that appeared to be coming from in between the Engine and Transmission . After researching online they found that there were Two Recalls involving the welds on the Torque Converter detaching from the engine. I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a stalling issue with my 2023 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT+. Issue Summary: The motorcycle starts normally when cold. However, once I begin riding and pull in the clutch to stop (such as at a stop sign or traffic light), the engine stalls unexpectedly. The stalling occurs intermittently during this phase and continues until the engine reaches full operating temp
... erature. At that point, the issue no longer occurs. When the engine stalls and I attempt to restart it, it will not restart unless I apply throttle manually. Simply pressing the starter without throttle input results in a no-start condition. Key Observations: Cold Start: Starts up as designed. Initial Riding Phase: Engine stalls when pulling in the clutch to stop. Restart Difficulty: Engine will not restart unless throttle is applied manually. Post Warm-Up: Once at operating temperature, the issue is no longer present. Performance: The motorcycle runs smoothly under load and throttle aside from this stalling condition. Diagnostics: No DTCs are stored and no check engine light is illuminated. Safety Concern: This issue poses a serious safety risk. The stalling is intermittent and unpredictable, which can leave the motorcycle incapacitated in traffic or at intersections. This creates a hazardous situation for the rider, especially when the engine fails to restart without applying throttle—a detail that could easily be overlooked during a critical moment. Technical Assessment: Based on my professional experience, this appears to be a calibration or software logic issue rather than a component failure. The ECU does not seem to manage throttle plate position or idle control properly during transitional warm-up phases. As the motorcycle accumulates mileage, the issue has become more noticeable, suggesting a drift in adaptive values or insufficient compensation in the ECU’s warm-up strategy.Read more

We could have been hit from behind if it wasn't that i had already been slowing down because the car didn't feel right. It has happened more than once, the slippage of power is
... constant. According to the codes and the diagnostic it was the turbo that needed replacement along with other things I have a video summary of the issues. However, this began right after my warranty expired and the engine had already been replaced due to another issue not even a year before. This car seems to be nothing but problems. You get the check engine light that comes and goes amd the "see manual" light which doesn't tell you anything other than it could be anything. This car is not even 10 years old... it's not high mileage. They seem to know that the turbocharge is an issue but nothing is done about it.Read more

While driving on the freeway in a construction zone, I smelled a burning oil smell. I considered the possibility it was in relation to road repairs being done (roads being repaved, ie tar resurfacing). I was cut off by another vehicle and depressed my brakes and I saw a poof of smoke over the front passenger area near tire. I noticed all of my gauges were in the normal ranges (temperature, batt
... ery voltage, etc.) In less than a minute my truck went into limp mode and advised it had a DEF system issue and it would be limited to a set MPH and a set number of miles. Check engine light came on and another driver alerted me that the underneath of my vehicle was on fire. I pulled over to the side of the highway and my truck became engulfed in flames in. Truck is under factory warranty, unmodified, never been in an accident and has had all recommended services performed at local dealership. There was a significant amount of traffic and luckily I did not collide with anyone or set neighboring dry grass field on fire. Fire department responded and extinguished the fire, but it is a total loss. Insurance company has been notified, and vehicle will be available for inspection by appropriate agencies. While local law enforcement did respond, they did not take a report because I didn't hit anything, and the only property damage was my own. (There is documentation of the event, but just dispatch notes.) Prior to the situation above the truck had been at operating temperature for at least 20 minutes and I had traveled for about 20 miles on the highway. The total distance traveled from when I smelled the burning smell was maybe 1.5 miles.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, While driving my 2019 Honda CR-V AWD EX, multiple warning lights suddenly illuminated on the dashboard, including the Check Engine Light, VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist), TPMS, and Collision Mitigation System. This has occurred multiple times and appears to be a well-documented issue among other Honda CR-V owners. The dealer diagnosed a faulty fuel injector system (Code P0
... 172 – System Too Rich) and recommended a full injector replacement. This issue matches known cases addressed under Honda TSB 19-072, but is not currently covered under a full recall. The sudden illumination of all warning lights, combined with reduced power, is a serious safety concern as it may cause loss of control or delayed response in critical traffic situations. We have been quoted between $1,200 and $2,500 to repair this issue, which is a significant expense for a defect Honda is already aware of. I believe this is a manufacturing defect that should be fully covered by Honda, along with any related systems affected by this issue. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this widespread defect affecting 2017–2019 CR-V models and issue a recall. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards,Read more

My daughter and I drove to town to run some errands, we live twenty-three minutes away and take the freeway. Speed limit on that specific section of the freeway (I80) is 80mph. As I was taking the on-ramp to enter traffic, My GMC started shifted very hard and losing power. The vehicle was sputtering and making strange sounds. I was unable to exceed 60mph due to excessive vibrations/shaking the veh
... icle. Steering was starting to be difficult at the same time I noticed Oil Pressure Gauge slowly dropping on instrument panel below 25psi. I had to pull over immediately. oil pressure remained lower than normal, verified Oil was filled to manufactures specifications (changed June 30, 2025). Returned the vehicle to my place of residence as safe and slow as I possibly could and parked it as it is a major safety concern.Read more

On three different occasions, the Jeep randomly turned off on its own. Each time I was stopped, so thankfully I was not injured. I brought it to two different dealerships, one in May 2025 and one in July 2025, and neither of them could fix it. The last dealership advised me not to drive the vehicle due to the safety implications of a stall during driving due to "the digital crash input issue". As

The fuel tank expanded causing the vehicle to become immobile. The car is sitting at a dealership after I declined to sign Kia's buyback so yes it available for inspection. As for my safety and other the fact a fuel tank is swelling under where people would sit and it is highly flammable/ combustible is kind of alarming to me. Yes, there are plenty of people having the same problems. The dealers

Hi. I took my 2021 f250 6,7 to the ford dealership as it was having trouble starting, and just wasn’t running great. They changed the batteries, and told me it was a NOX sensor. So I went and got my truck to fix the sensors myself; because they wanted to charge me close to 3 grand. The next day I got up, lo and behold it wouldn’t crank. I had to have it towed back to the dealership. I tested c
... odes before I had it towed, and took a video of it not cranking. The following codes showed. P2291 PCM - Injector Ctrl Press Too Low - Engine Cranking P2209 PCM - NOx Sens Heater Sense Circ Range/Perf Bank 1 Sens 1 U029D PCM - Lost Comm With NOx Sensor A P2535 PCM - Ignition Switch On/Start Pos Circ High U300A BCM - Ignition Switch It’s been in the shop a week , they called Friday saying it was starting, and there was nothing wrong with it. So I replied with all the codes, and told them there was definitely something going on. So they checked it again Monday and it wouldn’t start. Now today (aug 5 tues.) they say it may have a vacuum leak. Although non of the codes point to vacuum leak. I have no idea what to do now.Read more

Then in July 2025 vehicle stalled out and would not start again in major highway and towed again to dealership and they said it was fuel pump issue. This is what should have been detected in 2023 and 2024. I can’t trust the dealer they they will actuall
